Me quede en estes hotel en el mes de mayo, mi madre sufrio un accidente alrededor de la picina y este hotel no cuenta con personal entrenado, ni tienen ningun protocolo para estos casos. Mi mama se callo y perdio el sentido por unos minutos y el salvavidas que estaba cerca me trajo una crema para untarle. Se nota la falta de conocimiento en un accidente asi, nunca fue llamada una ambulancia para inmobilizarlar,me toco levantarla despues de su caida y llevarla al hospital en un taxi. El resultado de la caida fueron 3 costillas fracturadas y una vertebra. Hasta el momento no he escuchado nada de el hotel or de la aseguradora del hotel. Si busca un sitio seguro y con mayor sentido de responsabilidad. no se hospeden en el Hilton de cartagena.

Uwe Tropf: Everything excellent. One of the few hotels here with direct beach access and a large pool area. Beach chairs were always available.I got an upgrade to a sea view as a status member.The rooms are clean, modernly furnished, also well equipped for working.Breakfast very rich, especially with the local dishes you can try something new almost every day. Station for omelets and fresh juices.Executive Lounge open from 12pm-8pm with small snacks, fruit, lemonades and coffee maker and staffed 24 hours by 2 friendly staff. 6-8 p.m. there are small warm dishes, starters, desserts, beer, red wine and white wine. It wasn't overcrowded except for the weekend and has a very nice view.You can walk to several restaurants and bars and stroll through Bocagrande. I also felt safe in the evenings.

philip lawrence: I rate this hotel a Minus 1. I am in Cartagena EVERY 2 months and decided to try the Almirante. WORST thing I could have done. We checked in, me and fiancée, both WITH passports. The day after checking in, the hotel security team rushed the elevator we were using to go to our room and asked my fiancée if she was registered in the hotel, what an embarrassment, other guests looking etc., like we had done something!! THEY ASKED HER THAT BECAUSE SHE IS A COLOMBIANA, SO, THEY, THE SECURITY TEAM, RACIALLY PROFILED HER!! I Spoke to the manager the following morning and demanded they make things right for the embarrassment they had caused us due their inept security team (my fiancée cried the whole night because of what happened with the security team !!) The manager agreed that the hotel was at fault, that the security team never should have done what they did and that they would 'comp' us our room charges for the stay to make things right!!The problem is, THEY DID IT, and they did it because it has been tolerated all along, that is my problem with the whole thing She (hotel manager) fully agreed that what happened NEVER should have happened so, they would make things right.Just today, about 10 days after our trip, I was making another reservation at this hotel (because the hotel manager had, I thought. handled everything professionally) when I received an email from the hotel manager saying that She would not honor the room comp but would adjust an overcharge of about $35 from our prior bill. When I asked WHY, SHE SAID that she Never Agreed to the room comp in our meeting in her office on the day in question (I have emails from her admitting their security teams fault!!!! ) Money is one thing but, lies / integrity are another!!I judge a company by their word which is their integrity and not by the cost of services more times than not. With that being said, I would NEVER recommend this property to anyone as, I do not trust them, totally mis-managed!!!! I stay at the Dan Cartagena ALL THE TIME and have NEVER had any problems of any kind, and the rooms are twice the size with Balcony's and the hotel is ON THE BEACH, no walking to the beach!! DO yourself a FAVOR and run as fast as you can AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL PROPERTY. ALSO, THIS IS ABOUT A 3 STAR PROPERTY, VERY DATED AND VERY SMALL ROOMS (AND WE HAD THE BEST ROOM THE HOTEL OFFERED!! )

erika samaniego: The rooms are beautiful. The pool looks so much bigger in the photos, in reality it was small and one family with kids can take all the space of it. However they have a lot of space to sit and sip some drinks at the rooftop. The staff was kind and helpful. We arrived very early and left late in the afternoon and were allowed to remain in the public areas of the hotel and they held our bags while we explored some more of the city.Rooms: Big and cozy, nice view from balcony and great showers.Nearby activities: So many good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Getsemani is about 15-20 mins away walking.

Stephane Mongrain: Face à la mer, seulement la rue à traverser. Les chambres sont très bien et assez grandes et bien insonorisée. La piscine est belle et assez grande. Plusiwurs chaises au bord pour prendre un bain de soleil. Le buffet déjeuner est sensiblement le même chaque matin. Offre un bon choix variés de pâtisserie, fruit et autres.

Nathan: This was a really cool hotel to stay at. You feel like you are just surrounded by history. Walking distance to just about everything and very safe. All the good restaurants, bars, clubs, coffee shops, museums and anything else you need near by. The hotel staff was very nice and very accommodating. They made sure that we had everything we needed. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was fantastic! Spent the early mornings and late evenings walking around exploring, but the middle of the day just chilling by the rooftop pool sipping on the local cervezas. I would definitely stay here again.
