Dan Glynnbals: The masseuses and vendors are like seagulls when you open a bag of chips, they flock to you and won’t stop. If you enjoy nonstop harassment and trash on the underwhelming beach, this is the place for you, if not steer clear. The water is reminiscent of Boston harbor in the 80’s.
Rose Brown: The beach itself is nice. However, you will be harassed very hard! Every 5 seconds people are approaching you, asking for money or for you to buy something. It’s the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life out of all of the countries I’ve been to! It’s so bad that it makes you want to leave the beach. They refuse to take no for an answer. When you say no 200 times, they send a friend to ask you!! It’s bad!!

Farrah Powell: We spent a day here and took advantage of the day passes that the property offers. They have a ferry that picks up in the mornings, which is convenient. We were welcomed by the staff and taken to our pool lounger. The hotel offers many add-on options for the day passes. We didn't opt for the all-inclusive package. But enjoyed a delicious meal at lunch. The pork sandwich with sour dough was amazing, as well as the ceviche. The cooks here must be applauded. We also had a massage and can report that it was the best 25$ we have ever spent period. The masseuse was amazing. The dj was a nice touch, and the music was a good mix of genres. We had such a good time, and we are hoping to come back for a weekend getaway soon. A day here just isn't enough.

Isabela Murillo: Can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Everything was perfect. The rooms, the food, the staff, the service and the location. The beach is clean and great to swim and with great views of the sunset. My one feedback would be that there seems to be a lot of promise of activities happening at night for guests on the website but we didn;t get any of this. It was extremely quiet and dead in the evenings. Despite this, I would 100% return in a heartbeat.Also really love their focus on sustainability and you could tell this isn't just a marketing ploy. They have a glass bottle recycling facility in the back, a garden where they grow herbs and vegtables that are used in the kitchen.Tip: book directly through their website and not through third party providers to ensure you get free breakfast included and the boat trip back to Cartagena included.

Al Stankus: Spent three glorious nights at Blue Apple and couldn't have been happier (well the all night Rave at a nearby resort put some unwanted deep bass into the night)The room was huge, the bed and linens top-notch and hot water plentiful.Every member of the staff went out of their way to take care of you...a special nod to Luz and Jorge. And Jessie at the front is amazing.Every meal was truly delicious with highlights being the sea bass carpaccio, fish crudo and seafood paella. The bar makes terrific nights and the wine list is really good.We spent three nights and to spend any less would be a mistake. You really do settle into an island pattern. And book a massage near the beach.
Emma Backup.: We really enjoyed our time at Blue Apple and ended up coming back for a second day. It's a good vibe and the staff are friendly and quick with service. The only negative was that we booked a bed on our second visit they said there was none available when we arrived so we had to sit on regular loungers. But that was deducted from our bill so not the end of the world. We went to a few beach clubs in Cartagena and this was probably my favourite one!

Although that can be a huge discomfort for alot of people since it can reach temperatures of 95 degrees. Especially when nothing seems clean and the place reeks. the infrastructure is scary, the smell is already alarming, and there is almost no lighting in the lobby bathroom or anywhere. There are a lot of sketchy dark corners. I’m scared to find out what our room looks like.

Carolina Sanz: Food & drinks: The paella was more so rice with seafood but it was tasty. The service, however, was atrocious. When we asked for hot sauce and salt, the staff never brought it. Oh, and not once did they ask us if we wanted any cocktails while we were on the beach.Noteworthy details: The details could use more maintenance. The location is advertised as a boho-chic place, but instead it looks abandoned. From the minute we got off the boat, the staff asked us at what time we were leaving. We basically felt like we were being kicked out without having even sat down at our daybed. Also, it took us asking 5 times (and a whole hour) before we even got towels. Additionally, they stopped playing music and closed the bar 45 minutes before we were even leaving.

I asked about the dessert, and his response was, “Oh, do you still want it?”While we were there, nobody came to ask if we wanted something or bring a drinks menu.Super disappointed with the experience.
Erika Sanchez Sandoval: We had high expectations about this place, we paid for the pass to celebrate Father's Day, the staff was very attentive, the food was delicious, but the piece of beach that they have set aside for the hotel is too dirty! Unfortunate experience that when swimming you get garbage of all kinds including human waste and not exactly algae or corals. The plan is very cool but I had to call attention 3 times for them to go and clean the demarcated area of the sea and on no occasion did they go in to do it despite warning them that they will enter, they only cleaned what the sea left on the shore and I saw to several tourists entering to the end of the demarcated area and literally picking up the garbage and complaining about the same. The plan is expensive and the least one expects is that at least every hour they are cleaning the internal area of the sea. I do not recommend it because in the end we had to go to the pool and we paid to swim and enjoy a beach and sea free of unpleasant waste.

Carlos Rúa: Terrible service, they did not have information about the cost of the meals and they only allowed you to leave a credit card to charge you for everything you consumed, you could not pay for a plan or an all-inclusive. Clémence Fay: Worst 5* hotel ever they must have bought their stars it’s not possible otherwise.We dine there, first the food was atrocious, second their card machine didn’t work. We asked to put the bill on the room which was accepted by the staff.Then came the harassment. First a waitress runs after us to pay now with again a disfunctionning card machine. It was again accepted to put the bill on the room. Then a waiter calls us in our room (at 11pm) saying that we need to come downstairs to pay immediately. After that another waiter came knocking at our door with a card machine to pay for diner. (We consume for 100,000 pesos).When we told a manager about it, they offered a free taxi to our next hotel but in fact they offered the already free shuttle of the hotel and made us wait 30 min for it.When we finally had enough and told them that we will be leaving in our own terms, they offered the taxi.I don’t want to get into the slowness and poor service of everything from the check in to the check out.
