Paul Johnson: The Movich rooftop might be one of the best views in the old city of Cartagena and probably worth a visit particularly for a sunsetHowever be prepared to pay the highest prices in the city for cocktails and they are not very good. Just a shot of vodka or rum will cost 80,000 pesos (~$19 US dollars), which is close to 2x other high end restaurants in the old city.Despite the fabulous view we were shocked by the prices of the cocktails, which spoiled our visit.
Geneviève Bolduc: The Hotel is beautiful, the rooms are perfect. The service at the front desk was impecable.They are also known for their rooftop, which has an amazing view of the city. But …. 2 very anoying points:1. the music was terrible, loud american pop music. We asked to change the music and they were clueless…. Saying it was the hotel radio. The music is so important for the ambiance, the full city is about salsa and good vibe, I can’t believe they don’t have better music than that to create a vibe.2. The service! We ordered 2 Dry Martini from the menu. The waiter said they can’t do them, they are out of gin. We asked then to replace by vodka. It got extremely complicated. And at the end, they charged double the price, saying they had to charge a shot of vodka (?) to replace the gin in the martini.. we argued, but the manager was rude and not client friendly. A big zero for the service.Unfortunately, although the view is amazing, go for some pictures and get your drinks somewhere else nicer !

HAROLD RANSOM: This place was recommended by our driver and it was spot on. Nice location, with beautiful views. We could see other rooftop bars and it had a view of the Plaza where a public concert was taking place. Food was good, margaritas were better than the mojitos.Food & drinks: Food and drinks were excellent.

Jay Clemmey: The Sanctuary takes you through the history of San Pedro Claver who dedicated most of his life to evangelizing slaves in Cartagena during the 1600’s. He was canonized as a saint in 1888 by Pope Leo XIII.You can spend a good hour or so touring the church, garden, artwork, and the rooms where Claver lived and worked. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in Cartagena.

Alessio Astolfi: I had the chance to visit the Santuario de San Pedro Claver during a trip to Cartagena, Colombia, some ten years ago, and it was definitely an incredible experience. I am a person who has a great love for history and culture, therefore I was very taken aback by this sanctuary's significant past.In the centre of Cartagena's historic area, the Santuario de San Pedro Claver is a beautifully maintained Jesuit church and convent from the 17th century. It bears the name of Saint Peter Claver, a Jesuit priest of Spanish descent who dedicated his life to assisting slaves who were taken from Africa to Cartagena. The sanctuary provided these slaves with food, shelter, and medical attention while acting as a haven for them during a trying moment in history. It was a significant symbol of compassion and hope.The Santuario de San Pedro Claver's architecture is extremely stunning. The facade's exquisite detailing and elaborate designs are evidence of the architects' and artisans' expertise and craftsmanship. The sanctuary's interior is as breathtaking, featuring magnificent murals, pieces of art, and sculptures that depict Saint Peter Claver and his contributions to humankind.The opportunity to view Saint Peter Claver's relics, which are stored in a small room inside the sanctuary, was one of the pleasures of my trip. The saint's skull and bones are among the relics, which serve as a potent reminder of the sacrifices he made during his life and the influence he had on countless others.Overall, anyone with an interest in history, culture, or spirituality should definitely pay a visit to the Santuario de San Pedro Claver. Kimberly Guerin: We stayed at the Hyatt Cartagena for a family vacation. Isabel checked us in and was super accommodating. Her customer experience skills are superb.We arrived a couple of hours before checking, she graciously provided a hospitality room for us to change our clothes. While we were out exploring the city, she had our luggage conveniently transported to our room and emailed me. I appreciate the level of service she provided!Rooms: We booked a suite and it was just what we needed; 2 rooms 1 master and 2nd room with 2 twin size beds. Balcony overlooking the water. The pullout couch was super convenient for our family of 5 and the room was spacious.Safety: One of the reasons we decided to stay at the Hyatt was for safety purposes. We have stayed at the Hyatt in other countries and felt extremely safe.I like the idea of having to take 2 sets of hotels to get tothe room. This provides a layer of security bc you gave to go to the main lobby to access the room elevator.Walkability: The hotel is conveniently located in Boca Grande, next to a mall with many shops and in front of a grocery store. It's a couple of mins away via Uber to the Walled City.Food & drinks: We had room service, the food was good and priced reasonably. The drinks by the pool were amazing. We ordered mojitos and they were great!

Luxury, spectacular, spacious rooms with an incredible view, intelligent climate inside the rooms that ensure a restful sleep, the food is delicious buffet and à la carte, there are several restaurants and a pool area for adults and families. Spectacular pool environment with dj that enlivens everything. The hotel is very large, very safe, the attention of all the staff is first class, luxury at all costs. I loved it, I will surely return to the hyatt chain. Highly recommended.

Jay Peralta: I had such an amazing stay at this Hyatt for a 6 day trip to Cartagena. The views are gorgeous, though it is such a shame the beach is being completely rebuilt so during our stay we just saw construction every day by the water. The service was exceptional and the restaurants were all great. All of the pools have a great view and are never too busy.
Yanis & Yei: Here you find healthy eating and gourmet dishes. It has several restaurants open to the public, amacagua and kokaú. Recommended to visit if you are in Cartagena

Cesar Sanabria: This is the worst airport I have ever been when I was departing one of the very rude lady's that work for spirit started calling some names and she called my name an my baby girls name that is 6 months old they took us to this very small space to do a tsa swap but guess what there was no tsa agent or nothing it was the same rude lady from spirit that did the swap after being 35 minutes inside that small place more and more people keep coming to get swap for sings of explosive I started to tell the lady to please let us out after the swap because there was way too many people and I was afraid that we may get sick since it was such a small place, she didn't care one bit after 40 minutes they finally took us out we got on our plane got home and two days later guess what I got covid my 6 months baby girls got it too had to take to the hospital and all my family is sick I am colombian and this experience was horrible.

javigon: If you want a hotel with constant noise, this is your hotel.The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is varied and very good.The problem lies in the constant noise we had. First they placed us on the top floor just below the pool where they organized a party that sounded as if we were in it. After complaining several times, they changed our room at 10 p.m. and gave us another one right next to the elevator.You can hear everything that happens in the hotel, the rooms are poorly soundproofed and you don't rest well.

Isaias Duque: An overpriced hotel, small rooms, in my case my room was located on the ground floor, in a corridor where all the people who go to the bar pass through, so I did not feel privacy; Breakfast is served on the 4th floor but both elevators failed on the days I stayed. I think it is TOO EXPENSIVE for what it really offers.

We were also by the breakfast so it was loud outside our room during the day.The breakfast was not edible. It was outside and food had been sitting out in over 100 degree weather for hours.We also got room service one night and we couldn’t eat any of it because it was cold and uncooked.We checked out early because nothing went right at this hotel.

loveonblock: If I could give zero stars I would. We went with a large group, over 20 people, and hoped this would be a wonderful experience and sadly it was miserable. Though the courtyard is pretty and the roof is sunny, is was impossible to find staff to get food/drinks and the pool was not cleaned properly. To start off the street noise is unbearable and there seems to be a club across the street that goes late into the evening. Secondly, I stayed in the most expensive room and felt I was in a dark cave. Most of the windows did not open and there was zero light- all the rooms appear to be this way. Then my door broke and I was locked in my room for over 30 minutes and was told my included breakfast ended at 10am and I would have to hurry- I literally couldn't get out of my room. The towels and linens were stained and felt poorly washed. And to make things worse, when I went to check out I paid whatever they said I owed for a few drinks/food I consumed on property- then I did the math for the pesos they charged me and realized that a they wrongly charged me for bringing three female escorts to my room- which never happened- I don't even sleep with women. They had copies of their IDs, not mine, from the evening and told me I was lying. I had to speak to three different people to convince them that I was telling the truth. Had I not inquired about the mysterious charges I would have paid hundreds of dollars. They were not apologetic and did nothing to make these situations right. I would never stay here again.

From the furniture to the level of the shampoo. A very romantic and pleasant hotel for couples, a pleasant and well-kept pool, and a rooftop with an amazing view of the city.We want to come back to Cartagena again just for this hotel.

Excellent quality amenities.Location: away from the noise of the center, but close to walking. Many good restaurants nearby.Extras: Yoga classes, reflexology and other complementary activities.Breakfast: simple and good. The coffee itself is very tasty. There are breads, with jam and butter. Fruits and eggs.The hotel's environment is very fragrant, it has a swimming pool and a jacuzzi.The employees are very helpful, polite and resolute. Mainly the ones at the reception.We got a minibar full of drinks and food that were already included.Rooms: Big, comfortable, quiet. Pleasant smell. Top quality towels and bed linen.Nearby activities: Restaurants, exchange office, tourist agency (tours), tourist attractions.Safety: Always with someone at the reception. Totally safe.Walkability: Close to everything. 5 minutes walking to the center.Food & drinks: Mojito was very good. Excellent quality coffee.
