John Edison Muñoz Cardona: Great place to get your PADI certificates. The location is very convenient, I did my training with Alvaro, a very patient and friendly guy that helped us through the diving process. They were very attentive at the beginning with the theoretical lessons, always making sure you completed all the requirements. The only aspect for improving is the social media since the communication was a bit rude at the beginning, probably without intention, but could be missinterpreted.

All the groups on the boat were small and set according to experience.Special thanks to my dive master, when we finished my first dive, I still had a lot of air (other diver was a big air consumer) so the dive master went only with me for another shorter dive ( about 20 minutes). Of course we end the dive above safety level at 600 psi.

Nigel Bouckley: This is a five star resort for a reason. All the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and profesional in their conduct of training. Safety is important to them and during my last two courses with them I felt safe and assured that they were looking after my welfare.The dive sights were interesting and varied and they catered for the abilities of those on the boat, often having several instructors / guides leading the various groups.My instructor for the week was Santiago, who spoke very good English as well as being a good communicator under water.I will definitely be back this year for more dives and learning - thank you all.

Danielle Osfalg: I really enjoyed and had a great time with this company. First of all, the owner Juan made it so easy to sign up and all the paper work etc was easily accessible via internet. He and staff was also kind enough to pick me up from a boat I was on and bring me back because we had a dinghy problem. The dive masters were extremely helpful and friendly and spoke English and took very good care of us before, during and after our diving experience. The most important was the safety of each person and and they observed and paid good attention to everyone s needs. We did 2 dives at the island of Baru (which was a short distance from Cartagena from Nautica Marina ) and both were very different and interesting. First one was a lot of marine life, fish , corals etc but the second one was even more interesting with the addition of a sunken shipwreck and some cool objects covered in barnacles ( which i don’t want to give details so not to spoil the surprise) . On top of that i did not have a camera and my divemaster not only guiding us thru and paying attention to safety but also made the day unforgettable with the beautiful pictures he took of us during our dive session ( which i will share some here and THANKYOU again! You rock! 🤘🐬😘).So from my point of view I highly recommend Juan and the scuba team . Thank you guys!! I hope to visit Cartagena and find you again for some more fun diving adventures! Till then..

Ufuoma Odudu: Enthusiastic guide, willing and able to share a lot of history with us so the tour was decent. Would be nice to go further considering we've bikes but I understand this isn't always possible. E.g. to San felipe's castle would've been a good destination. We did go to another nice viewing point and left our bikes whilst another guide watched them.The city itself is not very bike friendly so not the most leisurely bike ride as you find yourself dodging walkers and cars but our guide gave good tips and help make sure we were prepared. Although called a "free bike tour," you pay 50,000 COP for the bike which is a fair price, but the bikes aren't well maintained. You can't adjust the size on many, mine was missing a bell and a wire poking out that kept scratching me. That's why I'm scoring a 3 for the bikes mainly and route but the guide was great. For example in Bogota there's a "free bike tour" and you don't pay anything for the bikes, just a tip so I don't want to hear that the money's needed for maintenance if they're not maintained!

José was very knowledgeable in his descriptions, kind in the face of difficulties and more than generous because the excursion lasted more than 2 hours, because he wanted to know so much and the traffic in Cartagena was very dense with the IronMan event. It's a great way to see the city and experience a little bit of Colombia culture. Jose and Miret make sure you are well taken care of and leave the tour feeling full. Just note that if you come on a day when cruises are in town, be prepared to navigate through hordes of tourists. But even with the biking, Jose, Miret and their team make sure you are comfortable and safe. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Anna Arutyunova: It was a great experience! We received a very good training in the pool before diving in the sea, the views were beautiful: big fish, coral reefs - like wooow! And the team was so nice and kind! They even took great photos of us! However, I got really scared in one moment. Lots of water went into my glasses and I couldn’t see anything. So I had to go up to the surface from the bottom. Honestly I was very scared when it happened because it’s prohibited to move up or down quickly but I couldn’t control that when it happened. I wish somebody helped me in that moment🙏

Special thanks to Junior for this :)The instructions were in English but also Juan took the time to translate to Spanish and always making sure that everyone in the group was following. They work in small groups so it feels cozy.They explained us what to expect beforehand and had the patience to show us the diversity of the corals in the Rosario National Park.Something that I love is that while diving with them, we are contributing to the conservation initiatives of corals, they promote ecotourism working directly with local communities, and they are part of the program of adaptive scuba for people with disabilities. But the night dive was incredible! They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel and we were able to watch the sunset out on the water before the night dive. c brown: My Diving Planet divemaster lost me on the dive. This is one of the most serious failures of a dive master. As a result, I was floating in the ocean alone without anyone. I was unable to swim against the current. My life was in danger and I was very worried. In addition, my divemaster did not check my dive belt weights and I was not able to submerge. Our return boat ride back from the Rosario Islands to Cartagena was brutal. If you have a bad back, do NOT take this Rosario Islands dive or snorkel because the boat ride will exacerbate your back pain. While having the opportunity to drive in the wake of another boat to smooth out the ride, the boat driver did not do so.Booked through Cartagena Concierge. They will not help you.

John McA: I had an absolutely fantastic day diving with Diving Planet Cartagena. You need to do this. I entered their office and booked a day of scuba diving for the following day. The employees were very helpful and informative. English was spoken. Later that evening I received a message letting know where we were to meet.It took about 1 hour to take their boat from Cartagena to their resort on the Rosario Islands. There we received our gear and a talk about our day ahead. The gear was new. My bc and mask worked great. Our two dives averaged 12-15 meters depth and approxately 40 minutes each. We drifted one reef and circled a second reef. Plenty of fish to be seen. My dive master Leia was knowledgeable and attentive.They served a wonderful lunch afterwards at the resort. Very tasty with a choice for vegetarians/vegans too.If I had the time I'd have gone the next day too.

Sigrid Rüffert: ECOS offers a very interesting combination of language and dance school with many interesting additional activities on social projects, sports, sightseeing. The lessons are very good and tailored to individual needs, varied, fun and with great teachers. Getsemaní and the historic center can easily be explored on foot. The school enabled me to learn a lot within 7 days and to be able to experience many very different things. In addition, the hospitality of my host family was overwhelming. The urgently needed supply of elementary school students with the simplest teaching materials in a poor district as part of a social project and their distribution on site at Señora Lorenza made a lasting impression on me and once again made me realize how important and indispensable it is to provide direct help with simple and limited means to be paid on site.

I also had private dance lessons with Francis (una chica 😉 very kind).Something very nice is the air conditioning in the school because it can get really hot depending the time of the year.I decided to stay with a host family chosen by the school and it was clean and confortable and they were very nice.The localisation is perfect. 10 minutes walk and you're in the neighborhood of Getsemani with its magical atmosphere with bars and restaurants.So if you want to improve your spanish and live a cultural experience meeting other students from different countries, I recommend this school without hesitation.Steve, 52 from Canada.

Lucy Golding: I would highly recommend Ecos as your choice of school. The teachers are excellent and they take the time to make sure you fully understand what is being taught. There are free activities 3 times a week where you can learn more Spanish, find out about the local culture, and interact with other students. At the end of each week you have an interactive session with the other students, in which you play games to improve your vocabulary. If I ever come back to Cartagena I would definitely return to Ecos.

Christoph Körner: Die Sprachschule befindet sich im Zentrum von Cartagena. Nah an der Altstadt und neben Getsemani. Die Lehrer sind alle sehr motiviert und man lernt in kurzer Zeit sehr schnell. Vorab gibt es einen Test, um das eigene Level festzustellen. Vormittags sind dann gemeinsame Stunden mit bis zu 4 anderen Schülern. Am Nachmittag wenn gewünscht dann Einzelunterricht. Super saubere Räumlichkeiten, tolle Aktivitäten 3x wöchentlich am Nachmittag und super Mitarbeiter. Klare Empfehlung an alle, die spanisch lernen wollen.

Ayako Dumont: Je suis actuellement en voyage de 6 mois en Amérique du sud et je souhaitais prendre une semaine de cours d'espagnol pour avoir quelques bases car je n'ai jamais appris auparavant. ECOS m'a donné quelques bases pour pouvoir ensuite apprendre plus sur le terrain.Les professeurs et les cours étaient top. Cependant je recommande ce programme plus pour ceux qui veulent apprendre l'espagnol avec un bonne base grammaticale et pas forcément pour être opérationnel rapidement.Merci à vous pour cette super semaine. Ju: Great language school! It is a small and very informal school with good and motivated teachers. At the beginning there is a placement test and then appropriate groups are formed. I particularly liked the cultural activities such as bachata courses and cooking lessons. On Friday there was a joint lesson for all the students, which was a lot of fun. Perhaps of interest to German employees: the school is recognized for educational leave. I highly recommend them and will definitely be back!!

Sha Taheri: Going to the Ecos spanishschool was the best thing we did. The staff are very professional and great teacher and as well very kind and caring. I could never imagine learning so much in only one week. Thank you so much everyone who works at Ecos. I highly recommend this school in Cartagena. It's worth going there just for this experience.In addition to the classes, everyday we had supplemental activities that supported our learning to speak Spanish and practice with local people. The family Ecos found for us to stay at was wonderful people. We live them and still keep in touch. They spent lots of time with us at meals and after school to practice our speaking skills. Tracey Capes: No sailing, no snorkeling, no exploring the San Blas Islands on the 'Yamato'. Parked for 2 nights between a volleyball court and a bar. Access to bunk and bathroom only below so ignore photos including 'nice saloon'. Captain is an angry man, threw us off the bow star watching so he could set up a bed for him and his girlfriend (the cook) and the food is not very good either! If you want to drink beer and don't care where on the planet you are while you are drinking, you could choose to go with this boat and the miserable captain who treats you like human cargo, otherwise avoid at all costs - it was truly awful and when I complained to Blue Sailing after the trip, they blew me off...a true nightmare! Added Foot note: Blue Sailing has responded to my review by assassinating my character while at the same time acknowledging new issues like our captain parked for two of the three nights in one spot in the San Blas Islands while he should have moved every day. And if Blue Sailing beleives hosting the jib while under motor power means you are sailing.....well.....truly awful. Their response says it all.

Romana: Wir sind mit der Kontiki lll von Panama über die San Blas Inseln nach Kolumbien gesegelt.Und kann es jedem nur empfehlen. 😎⛵️Der Transport zum Segelschiff mit Jeep und Speedboat war super organisiert. Auf der Kontiki lll waren unsere Kapitäne, welche sich toll um uns gekümmert haben. Die verschiedenen Anlegeplätze bei den San Blas Inseln sind einfach traumhaft. Wunderschöne Strände und kristallklares Wasser.Danach kam die Überfahrt nach Kolumbien, was ein sehr spezielles Erlebniss war. Auf der Kontiki war es gemütlich und eine tolle Atmosphäre. Und sehr leckeres Essen. Es war ein grossartiges Erlebniss, welches ich sehr empfehlen!Die Barzahlung finde ich schlecht, wegen den Gebühren von den Bankomaten (5x6.50 Dollar) und man muss mit so viel Bargeld bei sich tragen. Das könnte man vielleicht besser lösen…

Sempre pronta a divertirsi, a spiegare le tradizioni dei Kuna e dare informazioni sulle varie isole visitate. Una donna forte e dal cuore grande.Ultimo, ma assolutamente non ultimo: Raúl, il nostro tutto fare! Aiuto del capitano, aiuto per Nathalie nella sistemazione dei tavoli, addetto al lavaggio piatti e stoviglie. Sono diventata la sua aiutante lavaggio piatti ed ho conosciuto una persona buona e di grande umanità.In poche parole: 5 giorni perfetti! Unica raccomandazione: gli spazi da condividere sono piccoli e se non siete pronti e disposti a condividere spazi piccoli con altre 9 persone, se non siete persone pronte ad adattarsi, non è la vacanza per voi!

Jenna Dobberthien: Spent 5 days sailing on the Amande boat from Panama to Columbia. I cannot recommend this tour enough, it has been a highlight of travelling for myself. Specifically the crew on board (Theresa and Kevin) made it the most memorable. Highly recommend.

Anna Tolson: Amazing experience on the Big Fish 2 with Captain Original, Andres & Raul. I was really nervous for the crossing from Colombia to Panama but felt extremely safe in the hands of Captain Original and the crew. Would recommend taking Dramamine even if you haven’t experienced sea sickness before. The sea crossing was totally worth it when we arrived to the amazing San Blas islands. Each day Andres let us know the plan for the day and what islands we would be visiting. The food was absolutely amazing and Andres made it look easy serving 3 meals a day for the group every day. Raul was so flexible bringing us to the different islands in the speedboat. Overall a 10/10 experience and I couldn’t recommend the Big Fish 2 and the crew more.

Cille Nielsen: We had an absolutely fantastic trip with Amande 1.Captain Humberto, his wife and mate Federico did everything they could to make our trip from Panama to Colombia go as it should.There was good food, the crew ensured a good atmosphere and not least that we all got safely through the Caribbean Sea.We couldn't recommend Amande 1, Humberto and Federico more!

Captain Carmelo and Luis know what they are doing and we felt very safe in their hands. We visited different islands and were able to snorkel several times a day and saw a lot of beautiful marine life. We are very satisfied with the organization of blue sailing and can gladly recommend them.

On a pu s'initier à la barre à de nombreuses reprises.Bateau confortable, bien équipé et à taille raisonnable.On a tellement adoré qu'après 2 mois en Colombie on a décidé de faire le voyage une deuxième fois dans l'autre sens sur le même bateau ! Un des meilleurs souvenirs de notre tour du monde.

Lauritz: We sailed from Colombia to Panama on 25th of March with Yamato. The boat was well maintained and cozy, with beanbags to chill out in. We had a really nice experience and would definitely recommend doing this trip.The captain, Daniel, was very professional and Catalina the chef is an incredibly attentive an warm person, always looking after us. Christian is very kind and always ready to help.The food was really good, especially the BBQ at the island. There was always enough food.We enjoyed our days in San Blas, playing volleyball, SUP, swimming and dancing at the local bar.Really recommend Yamato and its crew.

Olex Fryride: selling a SAILtrip should include SAILING. Not one meter was done with a turned off engine. Sailing counts only if you don't hear the engine running. Selling sth that even is the name "blue SAILING" and then not even sailing is a ripoff. No matter if they are cheaper than the competition. The boat Wild Card is a cruise ship and not a sailing ship.If you don't care about sailing this company is great. The team is wonderful, the food is wonderful and the islands are insane. They got us lobster for lunch directly out of the sea.

Vilhelm Rothe: So much depends on the people you end up sailing with, so this review is primarily about the disconnect between the information Blue Sailing gave us and what the trip was actually like. We don't like to party, and came for the sailing and island experience, which we got, but the focus for the trip in general (as in, the assumption and setup from the boat/crew) was definitely on partying. Talking to Blue Sailing beforehand, we were told that drinking during crossings would be kept to a minimum, and to the islands after the crossing. The trip has two nights by the islands (and three where you're sailing), and on the first night the party was kept to the island until a bit before midnight, after which it came back to the boat until three in the morning, supported by loud speakers (from the boat, but they're generally playing from early morning until the last people go to bed). Even worse, at the second island we weren't allowed to go back to the boat after dinner (which was served on the island), but were told to wait until after the fire had burned down... And once it had, to wait until after midnight, when a birthday was to be celebrated. Once that had been satisfied, we had to be enough to fill the dinghy (easy, thankfully) to be allowed back on the boat. It was so unreasonable, I was extremely tired and forced to be at the party, when I had wanted to be in bed hours before. At least I was so tired I didn't hear the party move back to the boat after we did, though of course it did that on this night too, and bothered dinner of the other people trying to Shri. If what you're looking for is a party, I can't guarantee you'll get it, but I definitely want Blue Sailing to either be more honest with what we should expect, or to be more accommodating to more than one type of experience. Also, we were told that there'd be eighteen passengers, when in fact the were 20. All this aside, the crew (of the Sovereign Grace) were competent in general, and the chef amazing beyond mere words, the food was far beyond what I could have expected. Be very aware of whether you're sailing in the windy season or not, our nights of sailing made for little and uncomfortable sleep, but that's on nature and no one else 🙂.

Thomas Hegner: I recently drove from Cartagena to Panama on the "Wildcard" via the San Blas Islands. The crew was very nice & helpful and made us feel safe on this epic & adventurous trip! Especially Manu was very helpful, humorous and on top an amazing cook, who served us delicious and plenty of food 😊The San Blas Islands are pretty much the closest to Paradise, I've ever seen. The snorkeling, beachtime & partys with amazing people were unforgettable.All in all highly recommended! Maybe choose another boat than "Wildcard", if you wanna have a more relaxing trip 😉

In a short period of time you are able to really cover the highlights of the walled city. It is a magical place, where you go back almost 500 years in time. Even if you have only one day in Cartagena, this is a must do .

Cesar & his crew are very attentive, accommodating, knowledgeable, informative, & safety conscious. Can't recommend them all highly enough!
