Aleida Salazar Montes: Beautiful place of prayer and reflection. Its designs and architecture make this place unique.
Oriana Gabaldon: A very beautiful church that, despite time, is still very beautiful, the attention of the archdiocese is good.
Vu Nguyen: A muted cathedral with beautiful stained glass windows. Lovely history of Saint Peter Claver and his advocacy and care of indigenous peoples and African slaves. Truly inspiring and definitely worth a visit.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More

Jay Clemmey: The Sanctuary takes you through the history of San Pedro Claver who dedicated most of his life to evangelizing slaves in Cartagena during the 1600’s. He was canonized as a saint in 1888 by Pope Leo XIII.You can spend a good hour or so touring the church, garden, artwork, and the rooms where Claver lived and worked. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in Cartagena.

Alessio Astolfi: I had the chance to visit the Santuario de San Pedro Claver during a trip to Cartagena, Colombia, some ten years ago, and it was definitely an incredible experience. I am a person who has a great love for history and culture, therefore I was very taken aback by this sanctuary's significant past.In the centre of Cartagena's historic area, the Santuario de San Pedro Claver is a beautifully maintained Jesuit church and convent from the 17th century. It bears the name of Saint Peter Claver, a Jesuit priest of Spanish descent who dedicated his life to assisting slaves who were taken from Africa to Cartagena. The sanctuary provided these slaves with food, shelter, and medical attention while acting as a haven for them during a trying moment in history. It was a significant symbol of compassion and hope. The Santuario de San Pedro Claver's architecture is extremely stunning. The facade's exquisite detailing and elaborate designs are evidence of the architects' and artisans' expertise and craftsmanship. The sanctuary's interior is as breathtaking, featuring magnificent murals, pieces of art, and sculptures that depict Saint Peter Claver and his contributions to humankind. The opportunity to view Saint Peter Claver's relics, which are stored in a small room inside the sanctuary, was one of the pleasures of my trip. The saint's skull and bones are among the relics, which serve as a potent reminder of the sacrifices he made during his life and the influence he had on countless others.Overall, anyone with an interest in history, culture, or spirituality should definitely pay a visit to the Santuario de San Pedro Claver. Everyone who visits will undoubtedly have a lasting impression of this absolutely exceptional and inspirational location.
Sebastian Fürst Fotografie - Hochzeitsfotograf: What a beautiful church and place ❤️❤️❤️
Walberto Martinez: His story is very beautiful and perfect to enrich your faith
Laelia Milleri Photography: Check the opening time before you go. On the day when we were there the church was closed until the evening, so unfortunately I didn't get to see it inside. Enjoyed watching the busy and lively area surrounding it.
TheFABYMARC: Excellent place to listen to the Eucharist, it is super fresh, spacious and I love the preaching of the priest, apart from its architecture it is worth admiring, I like the mass at 12, since afterward I can have a coffee and walk the streets of the historic center, they are a bit empty at that time
Carlos Hernández: Historic site of the walled city in Cartagena de Indias, with excellent cafes and restaurants around it
Kelly Cabrera: Beautiful
harold david gil muñoz: It is a good place to visit in Cartagena
Gabriel Garcés: Good experience for religious tourism. Rest the remains of San Pedro Claver. It also has a museum from the colonial era.
Bienes e inversiones del cafe: There we find the tomb of San Pedro Claver

Alberto Alfonso Rojas Restrepo: Nice place to find crafts
erika samaniego: It was kind of chaotic and smelled like urine, the government could preserve it a little better. A lot of cars parked and driving right in front of it, it would be so much nicer if the little street right in front of the structure was a walkable street to make it more tourist friendly. If we decided to walk inside the bóvedas (to avoid the cars) we were faced with people trying to sell us stuff. We just wanted to peacefully walk, admire and take pictures without having to be rude and ignore people or saying “No gracias” every minute. The structures are nice if you already know the history behind it. My boyfriend, who doesn’t really care about history, thought it was boring and dirty. I liked it but could be better preserved.

Gonzalo Sotelo: Very nice restaurant, a bit small, excellent food as well as the service, highly recommended
Urban Consultant: I recently had the pleasure of visiting the cevichería in Cartagena de Indias and I must say that it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the warm and friendly staff. The food in this place is simply magnificent. The ceviche that I tried was fresh, tasty and full of flavor. Every bite was a burst of freshness and the seafood was perfectly seasoned. However, the real highlight was the seafood paella rice, a typical dish of the region and expertly prepared. Every spoonful was bursting with marine flavors and transported me right back to shore. It was a real delight! The terrace where I ate offers a lovely view of the city and a relaxed atmosphere. But what really made my experience special were the live street performances. I enjoyed live music and fascinating performances while savoring my meal. It was a perfect combination of good food and entertainment. The service was also exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes. They helped me choose the best options and were always willing to answer my questions.I would highly recommend this cevicheria restaurant to anyone visiting Cartagena de Indias. It is the ideal place to enjoy a magnificent ceviche, try typical dishes of the region and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the city. You will not regret!
Evandro Moro: Unfortunately we didn’t get to seat as the lady organising the waiting list was siting other customers first despite arriving later than us. We were tired of this appalling attitude and left. The place came highly recommended, a shame that we didn’t get to eat here…
Vinícius Lacerda Marinho: O ambiente é tudo que se espera de uma Cevicheria. Agradável e simples. Comida boa, mas não especial e serviço só OK também.
Jasmin Müller: We had a mixed ceviche because we were very curious about the quality. And yes, the quality of the ceviche did not disappoint us but honestly nearly 20 dollars for a ceviche that was that small in Colombia? The price is unreasonably high and the waiters seemed pretty bored. Honestly would not recommend going here. Definitely a rip off.
Philipp G.Z.: Heard about this place in some guides but the staff wasn’t kind and des interested for such a high priced restaurant. The food was okay but had way better ceviche in some more affordable places. For the bill they included the tip directly when giving the money back. Can’t recommend it.

Rich Canseco Sánchez: Delicious variety of ceviches and seafood, you will delight your mouth with the exquisite flavors. Very good portions as well as excellent staff and attention.
Angele Chauviere: I have been recommended this place and unfortunately for me I was really disappointed and I had a bad experience. I think it is overrated and overpriced. I was widely ignored during my time in this restaurant, first when I entered I had to wait while the staff were finishing their conversation for someone to acknowledge me, as I was alone I was not offer any other option but to seat at the counter, where again I got ignored until the barman decided to do the other staff job and handed me a menu over the counter and then later took my order ( as I still had not received any attention from the other service staff). I was going to take a medium ceviche as I was not too hungry for lunch but then I was dishonestly convinced by the barman that the medium ceviche was ridiculously small ( he made a circle with in index and thumb to show me the size of the medium ceviche, which you can imagine is not bigger than 5-7cm of diameter), so I found myself pushed to order a super which was twice the price of the medium. I then asked for tap water ( that was on the counter in a chilled water distributor for that purpose) but again the barman scared me saying it was not safe (why would you have it on the counter for people to help themselves then?), so again I found myself pushed to order natural water from the menu at 8000, the barman tried to serve me another water that was on the menu and that was twice that price… The ceviche was good, don’t get me wrong, but that’s all it was standard good food. I had many ceviches in many countries and different places that were far better for way less money. I was pushed around while I was eating on my high chair several time by staff passing behind or leaning on the counter. As again I did not get much attention after I finished eating I stood up to ask for my bill, surprise…the printed copy included the service, taxes and… tips of almost 9000 I never been consulted for, and for a ‘good’ service I clearly did not experience. I found myself being taken for a fool (again) being told it is included, while it’s clearly not when it’s added on the top of the price of what you have ordered including fees and taxes… at that point I just wanted to pay and leave as I really despise dishonesty and just wanted to leave this situation and move on with life before it ruins it more for me. Silly me to think it was over, they then proceeded to try 3 times to process unsuccessfully my payment with two efpos machines without consulting me about which account I wished to use, until I finally put a stop to it and asked them to ask me when they were prompted by the machine to make a choice. Once they finally asked me and I was finally able to make a choice about my own money it worked… terrible customer experience management, not a sorry, I only caught one smile the entire time there, it was when the efpos said payment successful.

Katie Fisken: Cartagena Connections is such a fantastic way to see the city and experience the local culture. Kristy is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the local community and that shines through on her tours! I attended the street food tour and I cannot recommend it enough! If you're wanting to dabble in street food and learn the local ways then this is the tour for you! More broadly Cartagena Connections is the one stop shop for info on all of the best spots in town!
Kristi Vanskiver (Whisky Wanderlust): Kristy was an amazing guide and extremely helpful when trying to accomodate our vegan friend on the street food tour. There is really limited options for a vegan but she really made us all feel welcome and included. She is a wealth of knowledge on history and culture of Cartagena and makes the information fun and engaging. I really couldn't recommend the tour more. It's way more than just a food tour!
Matt Gould: Went on a street food walking tour and I cannot stress enough how amazing it was! A brilliant way to see the city, learn about its history and culture, AND eat amazing food. Kristy's energy is infectious...the food is delicious...and the city is beautiful. What's not to like?!
Sandy Kidd: Wonderful tour ! I did the street food tour, we tried plenty of stuff and also learned a a bit more about Cartagena's story. Highly recommend it !
Samantha Foster: We had booked a private street food tour in cartegena. Henry was amazing. He took us to multiple food carts and had us try the most amazing food, all while giving us great history of the city and different neighborhoods. It was the best part of our stay in Cartegena. Highly recommend this company!!
Hinga: If you are a person visiting Cartagena for the first time, Cartagena Connections is a must. Tour guide Daniel was awesome. He is very knowledgeable and he makes you feel at home. I would definitely recommend CC. If you want that local Dominican experience ask for Daniel.
Rose Zu: We took the street food walking tour, and we highly enjoyed it! The tour guide was friendly and accommodating (I had forgotten to mention my mango allergy at registration like I was supposed to). We were introduced to the local favorite stalls and spots that we never would have found on our own. Delicious tour, and we got to take some great photos of the colorful neighborhoods. Highly recommend the tour and this agency!
Valentina Calabrese: You arrive in Cartagena and book a tour hoping to know something about the city and its history. then you meet daniel and you not only know the story, but you feel the energy of the people, you experience the community firsthand and for this we thank him very much. he passed on his passion and love for cartagena to us! we highly recommend it!
Justin Friedrich: We booked two tours with CC and had fantastic experiences at each one. Planning our tours was hassle free and communication through WhatsApp was quick.Daniel showed us around the Bazurto Market, he shared history while showing us the market, sampling local fruit, snacks, and some hidden gems. We finished with lunch, which was some of the most delicious food we had during our trip to Colombia. We also booked a private boat tour of the Rosario Islands, where Ana helped coordinate our day and itinerary. She made everything so easy and since our group speaks very limited Spanish, she was well appreciated through out the day.Everything worked out so well, the guides were excellent, these two tours exceeded our expectations and were the most fun activities during our trip to Colombia!
Hollie Evans: What a cool experience! If you're lucky, Dan will be your guide. A super cool local with great vibes. He will take you to spots that you would otherwise walk right past and not notice. He will take you to try 2 types of arepas, empenadas, deditos and much more, beer included! Not only will you taste great food, Dan also tells you about the people, music, art, dance and history of cartegena l. honestly one of the best food tours we have been on, thanks so much Dan!
Greg Isaacs: We enjoyed an excellent street food with Daniel who is a rockstar! We learned about the history of Cartagena, tried 5-6 foods from street food vendors and toured several incredible neighborhoods. Would highly recommend. Thank you, Daniel.
John Smith-Ricco: Highly recommend the street food tour. Dan was an excellent guide for our private group of nine. Good mix of food, tour, history lessons. Also gave us a chance to see and explore some less “touristy” parts of the Old Town and Getsemaní
Anna Christine Brennan: We really enjoyed this food tour - plenty of food, although not as much as others I have done - you will still need dinner afterwards. We really enjoyed ourselves and Dan was great.
Luis Gracia: Great way to get to know the lesser traveled parts of Cartagena and especially AUTHENTIC food. I 100% recommend this tour, especially with Dan, his local energy and swagger are unmatched!
Larisa Tyshkevich: Sent an enquiry from the website about a transportation option to the Aviary. This option is clearly detailed on their website. The response I got via email was about the tour including beach time, lunch etc. I replied saying that I was not interested in the tour. They said fine they would look if the transport was available. Never got back to me. Update your website if not offering the service and don't waste people's time.
Elizabeth Grewe: Had the best experiences with Cartagena Connections! They set us up with a coffee tasting at Cafe Del Mural that completely changed how we thought about coffee. Unforgettable, delicious, very educational. Then we did a market tour with Dan, he was so friendly and knew the maze of the alleys and stalls well. Definitely go with a guide. Dan had great vibes and helped us buy produce. He made sure we got to try local juice and fruit and surprised us with a souvenir at the end, a customized poster from a local artist. Communication with March at CC before, during and after the experiences was friendly, responsive and helpful. Recommend working with them for all sightseeing and touristic needs!
Joyell Arvella: Terrible customer service. I received a response to my interest in the horse riding experience and never heard from anyone after that. I sent multiple emails confirming the experience I wanted, asked if it was still available and never heard back from anyone. Do not waste your time with this company. There are better ones in Cartagena.
J. C. M: We did the street food tour with Kristy, which was more of a street food + walking + history tour all rolled into one. Kristy was super knowledgeable about Colombian culture, the murals, the off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods, and everything in between. Highly recommend!!!
Katie S: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueCartagena Connections made my experience traveling to Cartagena solo amazing !Kristy is very responsive, informative , and ensures everything runs smooth!
Meredith Was: We spent two half-days with Kristy exploring Cartagena, and the experience was 10/10 excellent! We loved her tours because it feels more like a friend/local is showing you around the city, with insider info and local experiences, rather than a canned "follow the umbrella" tour. She knows all about the history of Cartagena and shares thoughtful insight, as well as conveying her love for what makes Cartagena so special! I'd absolutely recommend Cartagena Connections to anyone visiting this city!
Michael Müller: We had the steet food tour with Kristy and we were absolutely amazed by it.Kristy, living since years in Cartagena, does not only know all the best places to get street food, she also knows a ton of stories about the city itself, the different cultures, the current situation and how the people make their living, about murals, and and and...So this tour is not really about "the city was found in xy bla bla" but about the little details and also about how things and city spots are connected to the history and the people. The food itself was delicious and more than plenty. I did not count but we had like ten snacks, fruits and drinks. But warning: You need to be into fried stuff and cheese but when you are you will love this experience.
