I'm able to have spontaneous conversations with locals about a host of topics, considering I only did four weeks of classes, starting from zero. I was worried that doing well in classes wouldn't carry over to the real world, but that has not been the case at all.The classes themselves were really enjoyable. My teachers were great, the other students were great. We cracked plenty of jokes while still learning new grammar and vocabulary.The school was very helpful when it came to logistics as well. I literally enrolled on a Friday afternoon for Monday morning classes. Also, the school allowed me to print documents and received a package for me.Cannot recommend this school highly enough.

The facilities, the staff, the teachers and the way they teach are top notch! Every day they have an activity for the afternoon and also for the weekends, like salsa class, movies, city- or graffiti-tours, etc. Also the school is in the middle of centeo historico and so you can find many restaurants, bars and shops just next to it! Ended up having a teacher just to have someone counting 1-2-3 5-6-7 for us while looking at herself on the mirror. End of it. End of her contribution.Sure she gave some directions to my boyfriend - so basic that I would have been able to do the same for free.Given me and my boyfriend had 2 different levels, I didn’t learn anything new.Cherry on top, we started late to look for the A/C remote but didn’t get the time back at the end. And to be honest, given the kind of experience, I wasn’t too sad.I read many positive reviews, I’m sure that if you take 14 h lessons they make a better investment on clients.But this is not private class, this is a nice and colorful tourist trap.

Charneice McKenzie: This is feedback for the school:The jump from beginner to intermediate was too much. Even the intermediate private lessons to the group lessons was a big jump. I am a dancer. I have been a dance instructor. And I wasn't getting the steps. The instructor...who is very nice...showed us 4 7-count sequence all at once. That was too much to remember! Then, without all of us having the hang of the steps, he went on to add another 7-count with a spin. I walked out. I wasn't having fun and I didn't want to pay for confusion. It felt like the Aunt Viv situation on Fresh Prince of Bel Aire. I'm just in Cartagena to have fun. Not compete at a high-level dance studio. My suggestion is to introduce 1 7-count sequence at a time. Observe if the students have caught on. Then add to it. Go at the pace of the students. No need to rush. I did have fun in the private lesson.

Sandy Wolf: I took 14 hours of private lessons in 4 days! I wanted to level up my salsa and Bachata skills on my Cartagena vacation, and that's exactly what Crazy Salsa School did for me!I was so lucky and happy to have Esteban and Ruben as my own private teachers. Those 4 days were full of fun and challenges as my teachers customized each lesson to exactly what I wanted to work on and their assessment of what I needed to learn.Both of these guys encouraged me through my frustrations and were as excited as I was when I would finally get the steps we were working on. They were endlessly patient and encouraging, and incredibly skilled at unlocking the slight but important little changes to make to help me successfully do the steps.These teachers got me to do moves I never thought I could do. Not all great dancers can teach; these guys (and also Natalia, who taught a great styling lesson) do both brilliantly. And the owner, Esmeralda, was incredibly responsive and flexible with scheduling. She allowed me to schedule according to what my plans were the next day. Reasonably priced, wonderfully taught, Crazy Salsa should be your Cartagena dance home!

Heena Patel: Excellent Salsa class with a bar tour to practice afterwards. My instructor Esteban was amazing. He explained the steps well. We then went to two bars and were joined by another instructor where we practiced what we had learnt and had a few free drinks along the way.My only recommendation would be that it might be good to have a female and male instructor at the bar to help both genders practice.Would definitely recommend this Salsa Tour!

With 5 individual lessons taken, you got a 6th one free.Since I paid them individually, she declined this offer. I would have appreciated more flexibility as the credit cash machine was not functioning and I was keen to pay everything with my card.Also, this same person gave me my last course. I did not feel in confidence with her. She was judgy, having an attitude that does not favor to be relaxed.Despite that, I had Ruben, and this guy is incredible. A great teacher and a very funny guy! Go ahead with him without any concern :)

peter lin: Luis and his daughter Maria runs the ranch. We love their passion and energy and love for the horses. This was the first time we've seen Paso Fino horses and it was great learning about their history. These horses are very special and unlike any other horses we've ever ridden before. The restaurant they took us to after was very delicious also. Over all one of the best things we've done here in Cartagena.

J.A. Clay: The pickup at our hotel was right on time. Luis and Gustavo drove us to the beautiful finca in Manzanillos where we were taught about the history of the Paso Fino Colombiano horses. The horses looked very well maintained and totally calm an at ease. We got a demonstration of the different paces of different horse breeds, which was very interesting as well. Next, we drove a short bit to a nearby hotel where we got a nice refreshing drink and our caps. The horses were brought there already by two attendants/trainers whom guided us during the whole ride. We had a beautiful ride on the beach, very well guided, also very safe for the horses.It was safe for a first-timer and a third-timer, it went very well after just a short while and with some tips and trics during the ride.It was a perfect tour, absolutely unforgettable. Many thanks to Luis, Gustavo and the two guys guiding and helping us.

So this 5 star review isn't just about them meeting expectations but really more about how much they exceeded them. So Luis and Maria thank you again for a truly unforgettable experience!Long VersionLuis and Maria are absolutely the best father daughter Duo. This was originally my wife's idea and I was just along for the ride since I had done horse back riding before. Well by the end I think i might have enjoyed the experience more than my wife! Luis is the very definition of professional. He communicated the day before to make sure that we were prepared for the excursion, he arrived early the next morning to our hotel (which was noteworthy considering some of our other excursions started late) and was a complete gentleman. The day started with us meeting the different horses and getting to know about the history of the Pase Fino horses in Colombia. We also got to feed the horses which was fun and there was a small exhibition where the trainer showed off the horses walking in their natural pase fino gate. A truly remarkable sight! Next we were given water while we listened to Maria's instruction about proper riding technique and important safety tips. Then after gauging our experience and comfort level, Luis helped us pick out horses and we headed to the beach while our horses were prepared. Before riding we stopped at the beautiful beachside hotel and had a refreshing drink. Once the horses were brought to the beach we hopped on and rode down the whole coast of the beach. Along the way we got to enjoy the view of the city in the distance and Luis captured different moments from our ride with pictures and videos. After the long ride we were brought back to the beachside hotel and enjoy one of the best meals that we had throughout our entire stay. Definitely would suggest going with one of the entrée options Luis recommends. You won't be disappointed! Afterwards we were able to take some more pictures before Luis and Maria took us back to our hotel. The whole experience lasted around 6 to 7 hours and we enjoyed every minute of it. A truly unforgettable experience and worth every penny! So thanks again Luis and Maria

Also, fun sport!Note: If you really want to start from scratch and get all the way to water starting and turning upwind, make sure you give yourself plenty of time! We each had a 2 hour introductory kitesurfing lesson, which started with an introduction on the mechanics of operating the kite, and finished with operating the kite on our own in the water while getting pulled at a pretty high speed on our bellies. It was like a self-controlled rollercoaster ride!The instructors were very good at teaching and the learning environment was very positive. It was the most fun we had in the week we spent in Cartagena, and we're now hooked on kitesurfing.

Man hat auch die Möglichkeit sich einer Gruppe "Downwinder" anzuschliessen. Alles in allem war es top (voll empfehlenswert).

John Edison Muñoz Cardona: Great place to get your PADI certificates. The location is very convenient, I did my training with Alvaro, a very patient and friendly guy that helped us through the diving process. They were very attentive at the beginning with the theoretical lessons, always making sure you completed all the requirements. The only aspect for improving is the social media since the communication was a bit rude at the beginning, probably without intention, but could be missinterpreted.

Easy payment, prompt communication, Spanish and English speaking. And the pictures/short video clips of us diving came out wonderful. Truly a great experience!

Felix Enescu: Did a two dive trip in January and all was ok.Equipment was in good condition and worked perfectly, dive master was professional and handled everything very well.Boat was ok, water and fruit were served between dives.I was in a group with only one another certified diver and dive master. All the groups on the boat were small and set according to experience.Special thanks to my dive master, when we finished my first dive, I still had a lot of air (other diver was a big air consumer) so the dive master went only with me for another shorter dive ( about 20 minutes). Of course we end the dive above safety level at 600 psi.

Nigel Bouckley: This is a five star resort for a reason. All the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and profesional in their conduct of training. Safety is important to them and during my last two courses with them I felt safe and assured that they were looking after my welfare.The dive sights were interesting and varied and they catered for the abilities of those on the boat, often having several instructors / guides leading the various groups.My instructor for the week was Santiago, who spoke very good English as well as being a good communicator under water.I will definitely be back this year for more dives and learning - thank you all.

Danielle Osfalg: I really enjoyed and had a great time with this company. First of all, the owner Juan made it so easy to sign up and all the paper work etc was easily accessible via internet. He and staff was also kind enough to pick me up from a boat I was on and bring me back because we had a dinghy problem. The dive masters were extremely helpful and friendly and spoke English and took very good care of us before, during and after our diving experience. The most important was the safety of each person and and they observed and paid good attention to everyone s needs. We did 2 dives at the island of Baru (which was a short distance from Cartagena from Nautica Marina ) and both were very different and interesting. First one was a lot of marine life, fish , corals etc but the second one was even more interesting with the addition of a sunken shipwreck and some cool objects covered in barnacles ( which i don’t want to give details so not to spoil the surprise) . On top of that i did not have a camera and my divemaster not only guiding us thru and paying attention to safety but also made the day unforgettable with the beautiful pictures he took of us during our dive session ( which i will share some here and THANKYOU again! You rock! 🤘🐬😘).So from my point of view I highly recommend Juan and the scuba team . Thank you guys!! I hope to visit Cartagena and find you again for some more fun diving adventures! Till then..
