erika samaniego: It was kind of chaotic and smelled like urine, the government could preserve it a little better. A lot of cars parked and driving right in front of it, it would be so much nicer if the little street right in front of the structure was a walkable street to make it more tourist friendly. If we decided to walk inside the bóvedas (to avoid the cars) we were faced with people trying to sell us stuff. We just wanted to peacefully walk, admire and take pictures without having to be rude and ignore people or saying “No gracias” every minute. The structures are nice if you already know the history behind it. My boyfriend, who doesn’t really care about history, thought it was boring and dirty. I liked it but could be better preserved.

José Vicente: Cierran muy temprano,.estoy inconforme con que cierran a las 5 de la tarde, eso es un espacio de aprendizaje, debería cerrar a las 7 pm como mínimo, las personas que atienden no son amables y se nota que hacer su trabajo es por mera conveniencia, no lo hacen con amor ni mucho menos dedicación. Los espacios están bastante descuidados y las pinturas llenas de polvo algunas.Recomiendo solo ir si necesariamente es importante... Pero para ver el museo recomiendo a los otros que están aquí en nuestra ciudad.Deplorable el servicio. A corregir!!

G.: I went on a Sunday in June/2023, the adult ticket is $23,000, there are three floors and it does not have an elevator, so it is an issue to take into account if your health does not allow you to climb stairs. The building has been restored and is beautiful, on the first floor are the exhibitions on the inquisition and human rights, a cool audiovisual recreating what it was like to blame and "prosecute" someone. On the second and third floors, it is related to the history of Cartagena. I like that the people from the museum are betting on showing Cartagena's Afro heritage as well. Recommended, if you have the chance to go, I recommend it.Of course, it would be nice if they could have guides to better complement the tour and tell some tourists that they should not step on or lie down... It would also be cool to have something more interactive with screens showing audiovisuals with oral history, with other people to give their perspectives and reconstruction of certain facts that are usually left out by the political / historical interests of the people.

Christian Restrepo: There is two address, one address for some reason takes you to a small town a bocadillo which is ABSOLUTELY WRONG.The other address is in centro histórico which I do not know it exist as the address listed on google was totally wrong and gave up after being ripped off by mindless cab driver.

Marc Van Baar: Sebastian was our master chef and guided us through 2 hours of making chocolates. At the end you make 16 to take home. Sebastian was great. Great way to escape throngs of cruise ship passengers if a cruise ship enters Cartagena: They will not do a 2 hour class

Natalie Mills: Loved it. Kids loved the chocolate workshop class making chocolates treats. Very educational and the staf(especially) Charlie, were patient and interested in sharing the chocolate process. Definitely worth the stop.

Na loja também vende sorvetes esmeraldas.
Patrick Lawless: Great excursion from cruise ship. Learned about cocao peocess, tree to chocolate candy, plus uses of shells. Hands on making of our own candies and 3 different drinks. Guides were extremely informative and helpful and made the experience fun.

Tom Hart: Visited in March. Took the jewelry making class, toured the museum and store. Our instructor, Ada, was so patient with us and we have handmade souvenirs to take home. (Plus my wife's purchase from the store) The owners even posed with my wife with her new necklace.
