Cartagena kitesurf School: what do users think?
J. Che: Very solid instructors. My partner and I came to get a lesson and don’t speak Spanish. There is one instructor (and the owner) Juan who gave us our lesson in English. While we were waiting for Juan to finish another lesson, we saw how friendly and helpful the other instructors were here. Everyone was having a good time and jamming. They provide sunscreen if you don’t have any. We’ve never kitesurfed before and it’s important to note that if you do a short lesson like us, you won’t be getting on a board to do it yourself. It’s actually very technical and so they need to teach you the safety aspects and basics first. You do get to trial your control of the kite in the water, but you likely won’t be going off on your own like another sport. My partner was able to get a second instructor at the end that managed to take him out in the water and tandem-kite it without a board (ie zip around with the instructor and had a good time!)Also note, kitesurfing is tiring on the neck!
Juan Fabian Gamarra Mac master: Excelente experiencia! The best place to be.
Andreas Stadelmann: I had a blast learning how to kitesurf here.
Paul Akers: This is where I started my kite surfing lessons and it was a great spot the water was super warm very reasonable price but be prepared to work hard this is not an easy sport but it’s worth every second of it!
nathalie medina: It is always amazing to visit you on the water to sail with you!!! See you soon 🤙🤙🤙
William Fox: The best kitesurfing classes in Cartagena and an excellent team of instructors!
Pochylin G: The best Kitesurfing site in Cartagena! Instructors trained with the best attitude and availability for classes. Super recommended!!!
ADOLFO FOX: Privileged location with ample space to navigate, the instructors are very professional and transmit confidence and security when learning. They have equipment in very good condition and also breathe a very pleasant atmosphere.
David Castro: Excellent. They give good accompaniment, the instructors are very attentive and are committed to student learning. Very good atmosphere, without a doubt the best place for kitesurfing in Cartagena.
Rafael Navarro: Very good experience! Very serious instructors and the classes are very complete. 100% recommended
Julietta Macia: The best! Super good environment and you learn a lot!
Christof Georgiev: Very good kiteschool - Juan and His team is very motivated to teach you kiting as fast as possible. English is possible as well. Really enjoyed it👍👌
Mr. Magoo: Great school & providers of equipment for aquatic sports like kiteboard, paddleboard, Kayak, wakeboard. Also, the school has amazing trips to la Guajira, Rosario Islands & Salinas del Rey.100% recommended
Laura Ordoñez: The best kitesurfing school in Cartagena, it has trained instructors and the classes are excellent!! Super recommended 👌👌
Daniel Otoya: Fantastic school! After an hour of class with Juan, I was on the board. Totally recommended!
Daniel a: Undoubtedly the best kitesurfing school in Cartagena, the equipment they use is from the last year and in excellent condition. A very safe place to learn and navigate !! Finally, the attention and customer service are incredible !! Good job !!
Jose tous: Appears to be good but has a bad vibe from the owner.
Alejandro: Excellent sport!! Breeze, sun, sea and lots of adrenaline 😜
JP GMIA: Very good first experience. First class instructors and equipment. Thank you very much to all!!Amazing first experience. Great team and equipment.

polysurfschool: what do users think?
Jose Ramirez Franco: Spectacular, what good people, what attention
Andrés Piza: It's probably one of the best experiences I've ever had!Pablo and all the teachers have an incredible willingness to teach you, a joy that infects you and motivates you in each wave. The facilities are perfect for having fun for a while in the water and when you get out you can talk, rest a bit and take a good shower with fresh water.Overall it's amazing!Without a doubt, Polysurf is a place that I will visit every time I go to Cartagena.Thank you Pablo, Giovanny and all the friends I met.
Marco Travel: If you’re browsing Maps for a surf school or Poly Surf School, their new and better pinned location is called Poly Beach House, same cool people and amazing experience 🤙from the public road entry, walk left instead of right
Megan Hatta: Did two days of lessons for teenage kids. Excellent instructors. JP was fluent in English and so great with each of the kids. Pablo took amazing photos for us too. Recommend this surf school for learning to surf.
Shadi Aoun: I had suck an encridle experience. The people here are very nice and accommodating. A special shout out to Juan Pablo (JP) who really helped me take my skills and confidence on the water to the next level. He is a great coach and understands how to help you start riding the waves pretty quickly. Thank you JP and everyone there 🙏
Ramiro Tinajero: Awesome instructors and they lend you a board once you’re in the water. Def Recommend.
Kasi Carter: Highly recommend for first time surfers! The instructor was very helpful and clear on techniques to catch your fist wave. And they took you to an area that was shallow so you could stand up if need be. I definitely would go back again!
Camila Posada Bernal Camila: Super cool place! Dedicated to teach one.
Nataly Vergara: (Translated by Google
Juan Pablo Espinosa: Great experience and a great work team, my son enjoyed several days of good surfing with other children and a group of professional surfers who helped him improve his position and technique! Thanks to PolySurf for the dedication and effort they put into the growth of surfing in Cartagena. Finally thank Cristian from the PolySurf School team for the photos!
Any Sorzano: The best surf school in Cartagena de Indias, the super nice teachers and they are always attentive to you. Totally recommended.
Claudia Escobar: Excellent surf school, highly recommended.
julian parra: Hello, I recommend Polysurf, because they have very cool facilities and a very professional work team, learning with them is easy and a lot of fun, the boards are very comfortable and the photos...they take the best photos with a professional camera to always have the best memory
Damian Pfahl: Good Vibe, nice people! Big thanks to Christian 🤙🏼
Claudia elena Solano cabrera: Excellent experience, very good classes, the teachers are very attentive and clear in their exolications
Andrea Egel: This is an amazing experience for kids and grownups! My children have taken a few lessons and they love it, the teachers are knowledgeable and patient, the location is great for beginners and they have boards for all ages! I would recommend 10 out of 10!
Iliana Sergeev: My husband, my 5yr old son and me all took lessons. We had a wonderful time. My son took 2 lessons during which the instructor was behind him as my son got up on the board every time. I was with him in the water too, doing my own lesson. My husband and I took three 1hr lessons each during which we got to advance our beginner surfing skills - reading waves, working on timing and just being in the water. Although the waves were larger we always felt safe with Christian. He held our boards as the waves came crashing or were building up so tall we had to climb them. It was exhilarating and we caught some good ones too. Christian's professional approach helped us also relax, take a breather, and build confidence. We highly recommend surfing lessons with him and Polysurf School. It was the highlight of our trip to Cartagena. It is worth every penny!
angie carolina juliao zuluaga: The facilities are great, the work team is very professional and active... my children give surf lessons and they are happy, they never want to miss their classes.

Nomad Kitesurf Colombia: what do users think?
I S.: Premières leçons de Kitesurf (9h+2h).
Beatrice Lever: Instructor was very rude and not at all encouraging at this kitesurf school. I didn't even make it through the full set of classes
Jared Kovach: Felipe is an excellent kiting instructor. Him and Nicolette were very accommodating, wouldn’t hesitate recommending to anybody looking to kite in la boquilla.
Mark A: I did a mini course. Never been kite surfing before, what an awesome time. Felipe is friendly and a solid instructor, and speaks very good English. His wife & him run a great business. I’d recommend them to anyone if you want to learn to Kite! 🏂🤙🏻
Lilian Simon: I booked spontaneously a one to one class with Jhon (colombian pro kiter that speaks good english)The class was awesome, I learned a lot in 7hours. Jhon is very pedagogic and helped with all necessary basics. When the storm came i could not finish the class, so I received a refund for the hours I did not took.Everything was very easy to plan, organize, and the class itself (even if I drink a lot of seawater xD)The price is way below standards for this quality.I can definitely recommend the class with Jhon!
sebastian porras: Positive:Quality
Andrea R.: I had a great experience with Nicoletta and Felipe. They are super friendly, both speak English and give great instructions to learn the basics of kite boarding. Their location is easy to find on the beach, just look for the giant black Ozone tent. Def recommend!
Nicolas Hoffmann: I was in Cartagena for 2 months and learned kitesurf here, I had a great time ! I chose this because I wanted lessons in english and it was very good ! The spot is nice for beginners.
Zelmira sanchez elia: Everything spectacular! Very good vibes and very good teachers who made it possible for us to navigate in a few hours.
Rogier: Great new equipment and a nice and helpful kiteschool. Would recommend!
Ramona: Super tolles Team, top Unterricht, alles prima organisiert!
g prakken: Really nice Kiteschool. I was in Cartagena for a few days and they kept me up to date of the wind. When I arrived they had already everything prepared and geared up! Nice and friendly welcome by Nicoletta!!
Cydy Palang: This was my first kite surfing lesson. Felipe was very patient with me and he teaches very well. I wish I could stay longer. It's a fun sport! Nicky was very nice and kind and accommodating. Highly recommend them for kitesurfing lessons and classes!
Trevor Gunderson: Great location on a great beach. I was in town for the week and Nicolleta was great about renting me equipment and also working with my schedule. I can’t wait to come again!
Gerne wieder!
Sandra Leite: The best place to learn kitesurfing and chill at the beach in Cartagena. The school is run by a lovely and very professional Swiss/Colombian couple. They are both very helpful and flexible. The instructors are fun too and focus on the individual needs and safety. And the morning SUP session with breakfast is a perfect way to start a day! Thanks for everything to the whole crew of Nomad and hope to see you again soon.
Manja Kalg: Super liebe Leute, gut organisiert, top Angebote, chillige Location. Vielen Dank für alles Ihr Lieben :* see you soon
Andrés Guevara: The best area to practice kite surfing in Cartagena de Indias, it is also the only school with international IKO accreditation, but above all the best atmosphere to spend a day at the beach in its beach bar, good vibes, good music and the best host Felipe. .. super RECOMMENDED
Marvin Wittwer: Got really good information. Helpful and friendly staff 😊 definitely recommend it!
Olivia Jackson: First things first, the breakfast was delicious! We especially enjoyed trying the jugo de tomate de árbol. The paddling itself was so much fun! It was my first time ever trying it, so definitely don’t feel like you have to be experienced in order to participate. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique beach experience in Cartagena.

Ariane Müller: We stayed 3 nights to kitesurf and get to know cartagena. Dey welcomed us VERY friendly! We enjoyed the stay. Unfortunately we had a room facing the street and it was very noisy. We shared a kitchen and bathroom with another guest. The kitchen was tidy and clean for what you can expect of a shared kitchen - above average. The kite rental is pretty expensive unfortunately compared to where we come from. Overall we enjoyed our stay there. The team is very friendly and the spot nice for kitesurfing.
Eusebio Ortiz Blanquicett: The best
Yovana Puerta: It is the most complete site on the beach of La Boquilla, because there we can find a diversity of services, such as a quiet rest in your hostel, sports therapy in your game of fun sports, good food, drinks and a super relaxing massage, so I invite you to come and enjoy these exclusive services in front of the sea.
Aaron McClearnon: Pure Kitesurfing and Nativo are co owned. Start at Pure and downwind to Nativo, grab some beers and lobster. Do it again.
Luis Fernando Idarraga Ortiz: Excellent place. Very professional. A cool place to kite and have some drinks. I am a recurring customer.
Christina R: I love this place!Everyone is super welcoming and treats you like a friend :) I took 8h of 1 on 1 kite surf lessons and feel like I got a lot out of it. I was a complete beginner but they taught me super patiently. I felt very well taken care of. My lessons were in English which was very helpful. Also the prices are really fair! All in all an extremely great experience!!Thanks for everything! ❤️
Juan Sebastián Vallejo: Equipment and instructors could be better
luz serna: Un lugar encantador me encanto 💯
Emerson Yesid Diaz Gonzalez: It took me a long time to wait for the food. They don't take care of your things while you're on the beach
Jorge Rivera B: Excellent reference for water sports
Mauricio Ordonez: Good place to learn kite. Recommended
Kenruis Bron Miranda: Learn kitesurfing with the best in Colombia!!

Windspot: what do users think?
Mark Gooding: My biggest disappointment with Windspot was not finding it earlier in my stay in Cartagena. Unfortunately I only had time for a little paddleboarding, but they seem a really friendly place to do and learn a little watersports.
Jhon Villalobos: Excellent attention ☺️☺️
Taira Pintro: Had an amazing time paddle boarding during the sunset. Andy was an amazing and informative instructor. He was patient and even told us some history about the city in both Spanish and e globs while we paddled. Would definitely recommend to everybody, and will be coming back for the next water adventure
Arturo García: The best, m
Andres Gil: A good place to do activities, the guides are excellent at what they do, they make the activities very enjoyable, 100% recommended
Arsa Longa: I had wonderful experience with windspot, especially with their famous surfing instructor andy! andy is lovely instructor, very patient and considerate. he was teaching my husband and myself few times and it was so much fun. moreover inspired by small successes I also tried out paddling during sunset. it was so incredibly beautiful, definitely one of the highlights of my stay in cartagena ❤️I highly recommend the place if you are searching for water activities and especially strongly suggest to get in touch with andy. he will make your caribbean experience definitely a highlight.he is also very gifted photographer and was also kind enough to click some pics during our lessons. so I have plenty of beautiful captures to share with family and friends. big thanx and will be looking forward to coming back to cartagena for more surfing with you!
Roland Esnis: After discussing with them on the phone, took a cab and went there on purpose on a windy day. A couple of guys there told me it was closed, although it was obviously not (the door was open, status “open” on internet), maybe because they were to lazy to prepare the equipment, maybe because the owner was busy riding…. If you’re looking for a good place for kitesurfing or windsurfing, you’d probably better find another one.
Valerie O: First time windsurfing and Andy made it an awesome experience. My spouse understands some Spanish but only to a certain extent, so he provided instructions in English and was very clear on what to do.I struggled to get the control and technique down, but Andy was very motivating and I got a smooth ride by the end! Another random windsurfer (tourist) observed and approached us during our session and commented that she could tell he was a good instructor and planned to sign her family up for a lesson. The lesson is along the beach where other people are leisurely swimming, but it didn't feel too crowded (it was a Wednesday). They have lockers for your belongings. There is a shower for a quick rinse (maybe not for a serious shower because of the not so great curtains). They have bathrooms. They have a bar area with seating. They have shop cats!I would definitely do this or any other water activity here again! Highly recommend!P.S. Windsurfing is a good workout!
Justine: Book with Windspot!! I spent 4+ hours on the water with Camilo over two days learning the fundamentals of wing foiling. I wasn’t expecting more than just rentals but Windspot was also a great place to hangout out before, after, and to take a break. They have a huge staff that are all involved to make sure you have a great experience. I wish I had more time on my vacation to go back a 3rd and 4th time. Whether you’re looking for paddle boarding, yoga, wing foiling, kite surfing, etc. definitely go to Windspot!
Roi Talbi: Christopher the tutor was really great 👍🏻
John Kay: Never have I seen such dangerous disregard for recreational swimmers and families! The guys that are trying to rent these jet skis to tourists frequently drive rapidly past swimmers bringing the smell of gasoline with them.My mother-in-law got doused with a wave created by some idiot driving by at higher than reasonable speed. We were swimming far from the shore and these jet skis are a constant lethal threat due to these guys driving at high speed with little regards for others.I doubt these guys have taken any boat safety classes or they just don't care about the safety of others. They are reckless and will cause death or serious bodily injury in the future (if they haven't already.)It is such a shame that Colombian officials don't regulate their waters better for the safety of all...I saw even worse conditions at Playa Blanca in Baru.Avoid Colombian beaches for your own safety!
Reinaldo Diaz: A magical place.
karinel diaz parra: It's good to have a good time, come and enjoy the good time that you have, bring a partner and use all the juices and yew that you want, always have a great time
Ligia Nasser: Wonderful place to learn a water sport, you can find a yoga teacher, a jacuzzi for 30 thousand per hour and if you want more, they'll give you a discount, beers, the beach and watch the sun go down, good prices and the service is excellent.
Carlos Manotas: Good place to spend an afternoon
Joaquin Borja: Got there and the receptionist was really nice and professional. I got my jetski and one of the workers jumps on with me. I was thinking this was normal, but apparently not said the dude running the place. The worker tells me to head to a beach far away from the rental area, he then tells me he needs to get gas for the jetski. He let's me off the jetski and drives off where i can see what he was doing, he then opens the compartment where my wallet was and pretends like he was doing something. He didn't get gas. From then I knew he took money from me. He gets back and makes me drive to another beach where he hands off something to a friend, my money probably. We get back and I inform the people in charge and they confronted the worker. The person in charge told me thats why we tell people to put their items in the locker. Maybe your staff shouldn't steal smh.I doubt anything will happen to him. Overall they were nice except for that one worker who stole my money. Be safe with your items.
angela carrillo lozano: The service is very good and the experience is excellent if you want to enjoy the sea without any noise and with the best view... Perseus guide is excellent....
Laureta Lahu: Had the most amazing time during the sunset paddleboard tour with Ricardo! Before we got in the water, he gave us very thorough but quick instructions on the correct way to paddle. He was very helpful, patient and kind. I had a waterproof phone case with me and he did not hesitate to take pictures of my boyfriend and I. The waves made it a little tough for us in the beginning, but he directed and instructed us the whole way! It became a whole lot easier a short while after we started. We stopped at an area with still water and he took wonderful pictures and videos of us. Memories we can keep forever! && When we returned to the WindSpot, he sat with us and recommended so many places and restaurants to see, in cartagena and even medellin. I was also a little burned from the sun the day before and he gave me an aloe leaf! 10000% would recommend the WindSpot and especially Ricardo as an instructor. We are so happy we found this place and extremely thankful for such a great experience. Try it out! You won’t regret it. Thank you to the WindSpot & a very very big thank you to Ricardo. 🤙♥️
Diana Luckysova - Sculptor and Artist: What a great Colombian business!💖 Super friendly and helpful stuff. We rented paddleboards and the three people who work there were just such sweethearts. Also the location is very nice with a beautiful bay and an easy access.
casper l: Amazing. The owner and staff are super friendly. Also Its very cheap compared to all other places on the playa and it has jacuzzi’s! I visites three times with in the 5 days I have been in Cartagena.

Selina Cartagena: what do users think?
MUJICA REYES: The best hostel!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Shawn Mahoney: Very fun spot to stay.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Evan Huang: Rude front desk staff. Bathroom super dirty all the time, water smells weird so the entire room smells horrible 24/7. Many of the beds had extremely bloody sheets, pictures attached. The big pool in the other building was closed my whole stay. The other reviews about the absurdly loud music are correct, they play music so insanely loudly on the roof for some reason. If there was some kind of event going on I could understand, but the music is like this all of the time. It is so loud that it’s impossible to just chill by the pool or even talk to someone. No social vibe at all, filled with older people working which is kind of expected at a Selina. My room was filled with Israelis who would wake up at 9am and start yelling to eachother. Overall horrible experience, and definitely not up to the Selina quality standard.
Alex DeCapri: Avoid this Selina. I should have read the reviews before booking.I've worked at various hostels and traveled for years in hostels. I've stayed at two other Selinas that were ok. This Selina is the WORST hostel experience I've ever had in my life. Book somewhere else.---When we arrived at 6pm after a 14-hour travel day, their reservation system was down and they told us to just wait. They didn't do anything or offer anything in the meantime. We just wanted to shower, so I had them grab a few towels for us. I've worked in a couple of hostels during my travel days, and the least you can do is greet people and welcome them with some water or a dang towel when things aren't working. They were, however, super concerned about me paying, even though they couldn't get us to a room for over 1.5 hours. 😂We stayed in a Micro room with a shared bathroom. Luckily, we didn't have mold or bed bugs, like other reviews have shared... but the room was super humid and dank. No fans or circulation other than the AC, which would have been fine...But part of the city lost power and Selina's generator isn't powerful enough for the building. No lights or AC (or any way to circulate the air) from 2am-7am. I went down to reception four times during these hours to get updates and ask for a different room. There were other rooms where the elctricty was working. Ours wasn't. They refused to move us. We only were able to sleep from 7-11am, missing our included breakfast, so we had to go buy breakfast somewhere else.Half of the people at reception are always in a bad mood, stressed, and as if they can't be bothered. When I went to buy a water, the guy just shoved the card reader towards me without speaking. When the "tap" didn't work, he just shoved it closer to my face to show my it was refused. Didn't offer to try the chip. I feel like I had to guide everyone at reception to help them do their job better. Zero customer service skills, and it's not a language barrier.Upon check out, I told them we wanted a discount on the first night, as we didn't get anything we paid for. We couldn't sleep. We didn't get AC or power. We weren't allowed into our rooms until 7:30pm. Nothing went well. They refused and only offered a 10% discount after 15 minutes of conversation. Said their manager was in a meeting and they had to charge me.For $40 USD/night for a tiny, humid jail cell where the door brushes against the bed when you open it, this place is a total scam.Nobody ever responded to our WhatsApp messages either. It’s linked in the Selina app but nobody bothers to get back to you.-Bathrooms are moldy and not clean (no circulation or fans).-Toilet paper regularly ran out (shared bathroom) and nobody refilled, so I went to get some.-Music is obnoxiously loud in the lobby at early hours and all day at the pool. If you are a light sleeper, good luck. The only good thing is the food at the restaurant is actually pretty good and has some vegan options, just a bit pricy.
No: Good location and the roof top and entrance are very nice but the rooms are actual hell. Covered in mold and I woke up with bug bites. The rooms are so moldy it made my throat hurt.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
David Pomar: Very nice, an incredible view, some prices are affordable, others are a bit high, especially the drinks
Damian Dormer: Great location near old town with rooftop pool for sunset drinks (but very expensive 30000+ for a g&t, slow). Polite & helpful security.Room (A118) was average at best. Shower alternated between too hot & too cold ever 10 seconds, didn't drain fast enough, and needed constant ventilation to avoid the whole room smelling ultra-dank. Bed on it's last legs. Loud drunk dorm neighbours downstairs between 3&4am despite quiet curfew.Reception staff are a mix of rude (young man with short hair) & fun (the others!).The included breakfast - small, dry powdery scrambled eggs.Place could be much better if they had reasonably priced drinks & good service, both rooftops people were usually scarce, probably because it's much easier to find a good experience elsewhere. After the welcome drink it's like yeah nah.Perhaps the other Selina locations are better?
Arturo Cerda: The bathroom was very dirty, the kitchen too, the floor was stained and with a paint that came off when walking, the air conditioning broke down and they couldn't fix it. I do not recommend it at all.
Blink: Very bad service, and the rooms are disgusting. First they give me one full of insects, I asked for the change, they didn't want to change it, after a long time of waiting they give me another one, drops of water were falling everywhere, in the end I ended up in the lobby again asking for a refund, supposedly the Manager was not there and they did not refund me anything. one of my worst experiences in that hotel. I paid $600 for 3 days, I had to go to another hotel.
Corinne B: Very good hostel with clean facilities, beautiful pools (yes, there are 2), good food offer, fun bar and a very broad offer of tours and services like laundry. There's even a café at the back and yoga classes in the morning. Seems like they thought of everything. The showers have hot water and good pressure. Thank you for your hospitality.
A Quevedo: Great location, low budget all you need in one placeRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Jordan George: Pros:The location. Walking distance from the clock tower. But also walking distance to a lot of the old town. The welcome drink was wonderful. There are two buildings. Building A, the building with reception, has two locations to get food from which were good and the staff were nice. The rooftop view is amazing.I appreciated the lockers in the room we got. The first room did not have them.We booked a Rosario island excursion through Selina’s activity booking system. It was a fun experience. And I believe it was cheaper as well compared to going through TripAdvisor. The coworking space was great. Wifi speeds as well as a developer. Zoom was occasionally unstable. Most of the reception staff was friendly. An aesthetically pleasing place when not paying attention to details.Cons:My partner and I had a private room with a shared bathroom. The cleaning staff cleaned the bathroom everyday but it was more like straightening up instead of actually decently cleaning. The toilet and sink for example kept the same amount of gunk on them. But when the shower drain started to clog they did help with getting it to drain properly. The coworking restroom could be cleaned a lot better. I tried to avoid touching the walls. More toilet paper could be provided as it frequently ran out. Sometimes the water wasn’t running in this restroom. The trash bin was not conducive to putting toilet paper there while using the toilet. When we first got there we were put in a room that was hard to breathe in. We felt like it had something to do with mold. We saw that the AC unit was dripping and covered in a black substance which we assumed was mold. We were thankfully moved to another room.It looked like a lot of mold was covered with paint and there was no proper ventilation to really prevent it in the bathrooms. One day we saw some staff inspecting a bed that looked like it had bed bug blood stains on them near our room so that caused some anxiety.

BUZOS DE BARU PADI 5 STAR DIVE RESORT: what do users think?
Nicole Burson: This was our first time ever scuba diving and we had an incredible experience. Santiago spoke English to us and made us feel very comfortable and safe the whole time. The company really looks out for the environment! They gave us fruit and water and snacks in between dives. We saw squid, puffer fish, and many more kinda of fish next to corals and shipwrecks. Thank you, Santiago and crew!
Magdalena Quirno Lavalle: Excellent diving experience! Álvaro accompanied us with great kindness and his great experience as a PADI diver. Highly recommended, hopefully we can return soon!
John Edison Muñoz Cardona: Great place to get your PADI certificates. The location is very convenient, I did my training with Alvaro, a very patient and friendly guy that helped us through the diving process. They were very attentive at the beginning with the theoretical lessons, always making sure you completed all the requirements. The only aspect for improving is the social media since the communication was a bit rude at the beginning, probably without intention, but could be missinterpreted.
Nuria Arnaiz: Punctual when picking me up at the port of my hotel, the rented equipment in very good condition and the DM with good group management.Juan, who coordinates reservations, very attentive.
Cat: First scuba diving experience and couldn’t have asked more a more professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was able to practice in the pool a day before with our Scuba Instructor Alvaro which made me feel more comfortable. Highly recommend this team. Easy payment, prompt communication, Spanish and English speaking. And the pictures/short video clips of us diving came out wonderful. Truly a great experience!
Joe Giacomet: Had a great dive with them, Albert was our dive master. Would recommend.
Felix Enescu: Did a two dive trip in January and all was ok.Equipment was in good condition and worked perfectly, dive master was professional and handled everything very well.Boat was ok, water and fruit were served between dives.I was in a group with only one another certified diver and dive master. All the groups on the boat were small and set according to experience.Special thanks to my dive master, when we finished my first dive, I still had a lot of air (other diver was a big air consumer) so the dive master went only with me for another shorter dive ( about 20 minutes). Of course we end the dive above safety level at 600 psi.
Juan Felipe Lopez Sierra: Very professional, diving with small children and they are very accompanied
Victoria Var-Heibak: Had a great time! I hadn’t been in a year so I was a little nervous and rusty but they made me feel super comfortable and the dive experience itself was gorgeous.
Sergio Alejandro Mejía Orrego: Very good experience, I got certified a few months ago, I went back to diving with Divers de Barú, I hope to continue doing it and go for the next levels of certification. Very good instructors and diving places.THANK YOU
Jason Herzfeld: Buzos de Barú was very helpful in organizing our group and making sure we all had a safe and fun time! Very easygoing bunch with good fresh fruit on board, as well as great pictures!
Gabriel Matei: Great experience, 2 dives with pictures and videos included for a really good price and the areas are full with fishes, corals, even a boat! I definitely recommend them for someone who's not certified because they are taking care of you✌️✌️✌️
Camila Sirolli: An unforgettable experience! Very good professionals, thank you very much for the accompaniment on my first dive! Hopefully I can come back! The best of Cartagena, hold on Baru Divers! Super equipped everything. Thanks for the good vibes, greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷Oh and the crazy photos! Thanks to my instructor Eduardo for capturing beautiful moments 📸📽️🌊
Nigel Bouckley: This is a five star resort for a reason. All the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and profesional in their conduct of training. Safety is important to them and during my last two courses with them I felt safe and assured that they were looking after my welfare. The dive sights were interesting and varied and they catered for the abilities of those on the boat, often having several instructors / guides leading the various groups. My instructor for the week was Santiago, who spoke very good English as well as being a good communicator under water.I will definitely be back this year for more dives and learning - thank you all.
Alexandra M Solano Reyes: I would dare to say that Buzos de Barú is the most complete diving center in Cartagena. The attention before, during and after the experience is excellent. They are my trusted dive center in Cartagena. Thanks for everything! 💙🧜‍♀️
M Masry: Some of the best diving I had in years.Staff is great, boat is clean, and a sublime operation. I have been diving for 35 years and teaching for 25, I would not do it any better. Thank you very much.
Danielle Osfalg: I really enjoyed and had a great time with this company. First of all, the owner Juan made it so easy to sign up and all the paper work etc was easily accessible via internet. He and staff was also kind enough to pick me up from a boat I was on and bring me back because we had a dinghy problem. The dive masters were extremely helpful and friendly and spoke English and took very good care of us before, during and after our diving experience. The most important was the safety of each person and and they observed and paid good attention to everyone s needs. We did 2 dives at the island of Baru (which was a short distance from Cartagena from Nautica Marina ) and both were very different and interesting. First one was a lot of marine life, fish , corals etc but the second one was even more interesting with the addition of a sunken shipwreck and some cool objects covered in barnacles ( which i don’t want to give details so not to spoil the surprise) . On top of that i did not have a camera and my divemaster not only guiding us thru and paying attention to safety but also made the day unforgettable with the beautiful pictures he took of us during our dive session ( which i will share some here and THANKYOU again! You rock! 🤘🐬😘).So from my point of view I highly recommend Juan and the scuba team . Thank you guys!! I hope to visit Cartagena and find you again for some more fun diving adventures! Till then..
Franco Chirizzi: Excellent place for diving. The previous training and accompaniment are 10
Daniel Soba: The attention of the entire team was impeccable.I did a Refresh because it had been 2 years since I had dived. From Juan who immediately solved a problem I had with my credit card to Santiago the Instructor who was excellent, always attentive to everything.highly recommended
Ronald Pichler: Very profesional crew and divemaster. Good english. Well run organization
Ronald Ortega: The experience was absolutely amazing, the team is knowledgeable, they have great patience and safety first attitude. I love it, next time in town, I will make the time for certification. Thanks a lot guys, sincerely Ronald O.

Diving Planet Cartagena - Centro de Buceo: what do users think?
Diana Lucia Grajales Lopera: I loved the experience. Super professional and friendly everyone.cool dive spots
Maria Gaviria: I had the greatest time diving for the first time! All of the instructors thoroughly helped me through this experience. With special help of Juan, lead instructor of my mini course. Juan did an excellent job of guiding me through equalizing, making sure I was comfortable and made sure my group understood all of the diving strategies . Instructors Andres and Junior were also a great help throughout this journey and helped with my gear. Thank you for an awesome experience!
Katie Tughushi: An amazing team! 😊 Everyone is super supportive and understanding! It was my first experience of the dive and their professionalism was one of the main reasons I felt so calm.Special thanks to Juan who was my instructor and made me feel confident through whole adventure! 😊
Anna Arutyunova: It was a great experience! We received a very good training in the pool before diving in the sea, the views were beautiful: big fish, coral reefs - like wooow! And the team was so nice and kind! They even took great photos of us! However, I got really scared in one moment. Lots of water went into my glasses and I couldn’t see anything. So I had to go up to the surface from the bottom. Honestly I was very scared when it happened because it’s prohibited to move up or down quickly but I couldn’t control that when it happened. I wish somebody helped me in that moment🙏
Ximena Tagle Casapía: AMAZING!! I do not have enough words to describe my experience with them. I traveled solo to the Rosario islands. All the staff was extremely friendly, they picked me up from my hotel and drop me there afterwards. They even took pictures and videos during the dive without additional costs!! (In other countries they have charged me quite a bit, and per person). Special thanks to Junior for this :)The instructions were in English but also Juan took the time to translate to Spanish and always making sure that everyone in the group was following. They work in small groups so it feels cozy. They explained us what to expect beforehand and had the patience to show us the diversity of the corals in the Rosario National Park.Something that I love is that while diving with them, we are contributing to the conservation initiatives of corals, they promote ecotourism working directly with local communities, and they are part of the program of adaptive scuba for people with disabilities. Highly recommended!!
Sabyn Maude: My friend and I both got our open water license! Such a good experience, the instructors were so helpful and we had the best time. They are so accommodating and make everything very smooth. I highly recommend!!!
Hubert Kettenberger: I came here for a package of five dives including a night dive. Everything was very well organized, safe and well maintained. The staff is relaxed, helpful and the dive sites boast a diverse set of marine creatures. Dive master Juan took us on an exciting night dive and showed us a lot of fish, crustaceans and the bioluminescent plankton. His calm and competent nature made this an unforgettable experience.Bonus fact: part of the $$ go into a project of Diving Planet to offer scuba diving for handicapped persons as part of their rehabilitation.
Anna Menacher: Amazing scuba diving school. I did the mini course with Juan who showed me all necessary skills for my first dive in the pool before heading out to the dive spot. I felt super calm with him as an instructor and he made sure my first few diving experiences were great. I highly recommend this place.
christian granados: The maximum experience diving in Islas del Rosario and Cartagena Natural Park. and super the attention of Staff
Comunication was perfect. Pick up was perfect travel to the island in order. The diving itself was amazing, we went to Isla Grande, not that many fish but hust seeing the corals was amazing, so many different shapes and colors are beautiful to see. The team and diving guide LEA was super friendly and very helpful. The island itself was so amazing to bad we couldnt stay there longer.
Octavio Arranz: Spectacular diving experience in the Rosario Islands. Security, accompaniment and knowledge of the place. Jorge, a marine biologist and diver for 30 years, has accompanied us and it has been amazing. 100% recommendable
Kristen Nelson: I would highly recommend the 5-dive package if you have the time! All of the instructors were great as well as the dives all being something a little different and exciting. But the night dive was incredible! They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel and we were able to watch the sunset out on the water before the night dive. Such a cool experience that I would definitely do again!!
c brown: My Diving Planet divemaster lost me on the dive. This is one of the most serious failures of a dive master. As a result, I was floating in the ocean alone without anyone. I was unable to swim against the current. My life was in danger and I was very worried. In addition, my divemaster did not check my dive belt weights and I was not able to submerge. Our return boat ride back from the Rosario Islands to Cartagena was brutal. If you have a bad back, do NOT take this Rosario Islands dive or snorkel because the boat ride will exacerbate your back pain. While having the opportunity to drive in the wake of another boat to smooth out the ride, the boat driver did not do so.Booked through Cartagena Concierge. They will not help you.
Vesna Buntak: I did my open water course with this company. I have no words to describe how amazing the staff was, accommodating, friendly and kind. I do have to give a special shoutout to my instructor Lea who went above and beyond to teach me and make me feel comfortable under water. Amazing experience.p.s. I got the recommendation from a friend that dived here like 10 years ago :)
Joanna Karasiewicz: A wonderful experience. A plan of 4 dives in 2 days in 4 different points of the Rosario Islands. The team of 10! From the attention of Andrés in Cartagena and the guys on the big island - Andrés, Delio, Juan have made these days so great. A modern center, with good equipment and better professionals.
Kim Uittenbosch: We chose a 5 dive package on the Rosario Islands and we really enjoyed it. Very professional run dive outfit with good rental equipment. The boats were big and comfortable. We especially liked the night dive in which we saw a Spanish Slipper Lobster.
Dan Wick: The entire day was a wonderful experience. Andres and his entire team were professional and very focused on each person being taken care of. Very thing was well organized and the staff were attentive to everyone’s needs. The diving was great. They took us to beautiful sites, the equipment was very good and the groups were small so everyone received attention. There was good and personal attention to every detail from registration to return. It was a complete day and not just a couple dives. We highly recommend Diving Planet and look forward to going again.
John McA: I had an absolutely fantastic day diving with Diving Planet Cartagena. You need to do this. I entered their office and booked a day of scuba diving for the following day. The employees were very helpful and informative. English was spoken. Later that evening I received a message letting know where we were to meet.It took about 1 hour to take their boat from Cartagena to their resort on the Rosario Islands. There we received our gear and a talk about our day ahead. The gear was new. My bc and mask worked great. Our two dives averaged 12-15 meters depth and approxately 40 minutes each. We drifted one reef and circled a second reef. Plenty of fish to be seen. My dive master Leia was knowledgeable and attentive. They served a wonderful lunch afterwards at the resort. Very tasty with a choice for vegetarians/vegans too.If I had the time I'd have gone the next day too.
jesse (Mulligan) kemp: Had a great private trip to Isla Rosario, 3 divers with Rawr and 4 snorkeling with Leia, great reviews all around with good professionalism and friendly services, would recommend.
