Die Trainer sprechen gutes Englisch und die Ausrüstung ist hochwertig. Jeder von uns konnte in seinem Tempo lernen und man hat sich dementsprechend immer sehr wohl gefühlt! We huurden twee voor een dag, en kregen veel meer in de plaats: een biertje voor het wachten, hulp bij het optuigen en oplaten van de kites, zelfs advies langs het water… schoonbroer en zus kregen tegelijk salsa-les van een enthousiast personeelslid… wij vonden het top, en zouden direct terugkomen. Topsfeer hier!
Ken Goosney: Outstanding!! I’ve been using En Columbia Kite as my home base during my vacation. I store my gear here so I don’t have to carry it to and from the hotel each day. The staff are such nice people, they pump your kite, run your lines and when you done they take it all down for you, they really take care of your gear. They have showers and a dunk tank to rinse gear and yourself. The food is fantastic and the beer is always cold. I took a lesson to improve my kiteloops, money well spent, great instruction and now I have lost to work on. Highly recommend this place, great vibe, great people and big smiles🤙

agustin jaramillo: Excelente conocí la escuela hace unos años cuando trate de ingresar a la playa con una 10.5 mts y 30 nudos 🙈 ( peso 65 kg). Los instructores no me dejarón cometer ese locura. De alli conocí la escuela, el ambiente y profesionalismo 100% recomendado. De allí me quedé con flysurfer puedes rentar los equipos, finalmente compŕe los míos (la escuela es distribuidora oficial). Mis equipos los adquiri en la escuela sin nigún contratiempo ( 1 cometa soul 7 mts, 1 cometa soul 12 mts, barra para cada una, leash, tabla trip, arnes, leash y chaleco). Ansioso que suba el viento para regresar.

Franklin is an amazing instructor - extremely patient and kind - and exactly what you need when it's your first time learning to kite surf. Ruth, Alex and the rest of the team were all so friendly, and as a solo traveller, I couldn't have asked for better company. My time on the water was a highlight of my trip, and if I ever have the chance to return to Colombia, I will definitely visit here again. Can't recommend this place enough!

J. Che: Very solid instructors. My partner and I came to get a lesson and don’t speak Spanish. There is one instructor (and the owner) Juan who gave us our lesson in English. While we were waiting for Juan to finish another lesson, we saw how friendly and helpful the other instructors were here. Everyone was having a good time and jamming.They provide sunscreen if you don’t have any.We’ve never kitesurfed before and it’s important to note that if you do a short lesson like us, you won’t be getting on a board to do it yourself. It’s actually very technical and so they need to teach you the safety aspects and basics first. You do get to trial your control of the kite in the water, but you likely won’t be going off on your own like another sport.My partner was able to get a second instructor at the end that managed to take him out in the water and tandem-kite it without a board (ie zip around with the instructor and had a good time!)Also note, kitesurfing is tiring on the neck!

I S.: Premières leçons de Kitesurf (9h+2h). Felipe est un instructeur très sérieux et patient. Il m'a donné de très bons conseils pour progresser mais aussi sur la sécurité. Je me suis senti très en confiance avec eux. J'y retournerai sans hésiter !PS: Pour venir/repartir depuis Cartagena il y a un bus VehiTrans qui passe toutes les 20-30minutes sur la route d'à côté pour 2600COP.

ahmed Zeytoun: Nice and friendly folks - says that transportation is covered - but it was not offered. Prices are very unclear. Seems that if the wind is not in your favour, you have to pay the price regardless. I came to take the 9 hour course, but after 7 hours (most of those dedicated to walking on the beach and waiting for the wind), i can barely stand on the board.$858 CAD was not the suitable price for this experience, nor was it clearly communicated that’s what the charges would be. Was a nice little surprise to end my stay in Cartagena

Also, fun sport!Note: If you really want to start from scratch and get all the way to water starting and turning upwind, make sure you give yourself plenty of time! (It took me 8 days of 2-hour lessons to get there. It varies a lot by person). Also check out the hostel that's in the same building.

We each had a 2 hour introductory kitesurfing lesson, which started with an introduction on the mechanics of operating the kite, and finished with operating the kite on our own in the water while getting pulled at a pretty high speed on our bellies. It was like a self-controlled rollercoaster ride!The instructors were very good at teaching and the learning environment was very positive. It was the most fun we had in the week we spent in Cartagena, and we're now hooked on kitesurfing.

Andreas Staub: Super organisiert mit Abholservice. Sehr gutes Kitematerial (Core). Restaurant mit feinen Menüs und cooler, kollegialer Athmosphäre. Perfekter Wind, wie ich es lange nicht mehr erleben konnte (Wind-Saison prüfen). Der Spot ist nicht überfüllt; genug Platz auf dem Wasser, was vorallem auch für Anfänger-Kiter ein grosses PLUS ist. Man hat auch die Möglichkeit sich einer Gruppe "Downwinder" anzuschliessen. Alles in allem war es top (voll empfehlenswert).

Instructors were super fun to kite/hangout with, they also speak multiple languages which is super helpful. Last but not least Zion Beach house (part of the same building) is a great place to stay, really giving you the full package. 10/10 would recommend and will come again!

Mark Gooding: My biggest disappointment with Windspot was not finding it earlier in my stay in Cartagena. Unfortunately I only had time for a little paddleboarding, but they seem a really friendly place to do and learn a little watersports.

Thierry Baudry: Superbe centre multisport (windsurf, kayaks, wingfoil, paddle, etc...) dirigé par un champion de windsurf et de wingfoil. Super ambiance, bar sympa avec pizzas et cévichés. Le centre est directement sur le spot de kitesurf ou Roger vous aidera à gréer et lever votre matériel. Une super découverte d'un endroit où l'on aime rester à boire un verre entre nouveaux amis après les sessions.

Roland Esnis: After discussing with them on the phone, took a cab and went there on purpose on a windy day. A couple of guys there told me it was closed, although it was obviously not (the door was open, status “open” on internet), maybe because they were to lazy to prepare the equipment, maybe because the owner was busy riding…. If you’re looking for a good place for kitesurfing or windsurfing, you’d probably better find another one.
Valerie O: First time windsurfing and Andy made it an awesome experience. My spouse understands some Spanish but only to a certain extent, so he provided instructions in English and was very clear on what to do.I struggled to get the control and technique down, but Andy was very motivating and I got a smooth ride by the end! Another random windsurfer (tourist) observed and approached us during our session and commented that she could tell he was a good instructor and planned to sign her family up for a lesson.The lesson is along the beach where other people are leisurely swimming, but it didn't feel too crowded (it was a Wednesday).They have lockers for your belongings. There is a shower for a quick rinse (maybe not for a serious shower because of the not so great curtains).They have bathrooms.They have a bar area with seating.They have shop cats!I would definitely do this or any other water activity here again! Justine: Book with Windspot!! I spent 4+ hours on the water with Camilo over two days learning the fundamentals of wing foiling. I wasn’t expecting more than just rentals but Windspot was also a great place to hangout out before, after, and to take a break. They have a huge staff that are all involved to make sure you have a great experience. I wish I had more time on my vacation to go back a 3rd and 4th time. Whether you’re looking for paddle boarding, yoga, wing foiling, kite surfing, etc. definitely go to Windspot!

John Kay: Never have I seen such dangerous disregard for recreational swimmers and families!The guys that are trying to rent these jet skis to tourists frequently drive rapidly past swimmers bringing the smell of gasoline with them.My mother-in-law got doused with a wave created by some idiot driving by at higher than reasonable speed.We were swimming far from the shore and these jet skis are a constant lethal threat due to these guys driving at high speed with little regards for others.I doubt these guys have taken any boat safety classes or they just don't care about the safety of others.They are reckless and will cause death or serious bodily injury in the future (if they haven't already.)It is such a shame that Colombian officials don't regulate their waters better for the safety of all...I saw even worse conditions at Playa Blanca in Baru.Avoid Colombian beaches for your own safety!

Joaquin Borja: Got there and the receptionist was really nice and professional. I got my jetski and one of the workers jumps on with me. I was thinking this was normal, but apparently not said the dude running the place. The worker tells me to head to a beach far away from the rental area, he then tells me he needs to get gas for the jetski. He let's me off the jetski and drives off where i can see what he was doing, he then opens the compartment where my wallet was and pretends like he was doing something. He didn't get gas. From then I knew he took money from me. He gets back and makes me drive to another beach where he hands off something to a friend, my money probably. We get back and I inform the people in charge and they confronted the worker. The person in charge told me thats why we tell people to put their items in the locker. Maybe your staff shouldn't steal smh.I doubt anything will happen to him. Overall they were nice except for that one worker who stole my money. Be safe with your items.

Laureta Lahu: Had the most amazing time during the sunset paddleboard tour with Ricardo! Before we got in the water, he gave us very thorough but quick instructions on the correct way to paddle. He was very helpful, patient and kind. I had a waterproof phone case with me and he did not hesitate to take pictures of my boyfriend and I. The waves made it a little tough for us in the beginning, but he directed and instructed us the whole way! It became a whole lot easier a short while after we started. We stopped at an area with still water and he took wonderful pictures and videos of us. Memories we can keep forever! && When we returned to the WindSpot, he sat with us and recommended so many places and restaurants to see, in cartagena and even medellin. I was also a little burned from the sun the day before and he gave me an aloe leaf! 10000% would recommend the WindSpot and especially Ricardo as an instructor. We are so happy we found this place and extremely thankful for such a great experience. Try it out! You won’t regret it. Thank you to the WindSpot & a very very big thank you to Ricardo. 🤙♥️
