Beatriz Gomez: Hace dos años pagué una clase y me hicieron un descuento muy bueno cuando me quejé pues en la pagina decía una cosa y enpersona otra, me convencí de que era una pagina desactualizada, quedamos en 200 mil por varias horas de clase separadas por varios días me pareció muy informal pero bueno lo acepté porque me convenía, pero al irme el primer día no pude volver porque mi instructor nunca me podía agendar una cita, o estaba enfermo o fuera de la ciudad o de día libre. Ya ni me acuerdo de su nombre. Un fiasco total, tengo ganas de aprender y voy a intentar con alguien más esperando que no me vuelva a pasar lo mismo. No me quejé en el punto por no pelear, pero ahora que busco la info nuevamente, que buena oportunidad para dejar el comentario.
Andy May: Great equipment, nice folk on the bar and had fun but instructor was lacking in attention or effort.- booked two hours and got an instructor for maybe 30 minutes after which he disappeared and appeared to be instructing someone else. Made it clear I wasn't sure where my instructor was and one of the other staff stepped in for a bit, but generally I wasn't impressed with the effort put in instruction, if you do go I'd insist on agreeing what you will learn and whether an instructor will give you full attention for time paid.Kit though was of a very good quality.

Mark Gooding: My biggest disappointment with Windspot was not finding it earlier in my stay in Cartagena. Unfortunately I only had time for a little paddleboarding, but they seem a really friendly place to do and learn a little watersports.

Joaquin Borja: Got there and the receptionist was really nice and professional. I got my jetski and one of the workers jumps on with me. I was thinking this was normal, but apparently not said the dude running the place. The worker tells me to head to a beach far away from the rental area, he then tells me he needs to get gas for the jetski. He let's me off the jetski and drives off where i can see what he was doing, he then opens the compartment where my wallet was and pretends like he was doing something. He didn't get gas. From then I knew he took money from me. He gets back and makes me drive to another beach where he hands off something to a friend, my money probably. We get back and I inform the people in charge and they confronted the worker. The person in charge told me thats why we tell people to put their items in the locker. Maybe your staff shouldn't steal smh.I doubt anything will happen to him. Overall they were nice except for that one worker who stole my money. Be safe with your items.

Laureta Lahu: Had the most amazing time during the sunset paddleboard tour with Ricardo! Before we got in the water, he gave us very thorough but quick instructions on the correct way to paddle. He was very helpful, patient and kind. I had a waterproof phone case with me and he did not hesitate to take pictures of my boyfriend and I. The waves made it a little tough for us in the beginning, but he directed and instructed us the whole way! It became a whole lot easier a short while after we started. We stopped at an area with still water and he took wonderful pictures and videos of us. Memories we can keep forever! && When we returned to the WindSpot, he sat with us and recommended so many places and restaurants to see, in cartagena and even medellin. I was also a little burned from the sun the day before and he gave me an aloe leaf! 10000% would recommend the WindSpot and especially Ricardo as an instructor. We are so happy we found this place and extremely thankful for such a great experience. Try it out! You won’t regret it. Thank you to the WindSpot & a very very big thank you to Ricardo. 🤙♥️

J. Che: Very solid instructors. My partner and I came to get a lesson and don’t speak Spanish. There is one instructor (and the owner) Juan who gave us our lesson in English. While we were waiting for Juan to finish another lesson, we saw how friendly and helpful the other instructors were here. Everyone was having a good time and jamming.They provide sunscreen if you don’t have any.We’ve never kitesurfed before and it’s important to note that if you do a short lesson like us, you won’t be getting on a board to do it yourself. It’s actually very technical and so they need to teach you the safety aspects and basics first. You do get to trial your control of the kite in the water, but you likely won’t be going off on your own like another sport.My partner was able to get a second instructor at the end that managed to take him out in the water and tandem-kite it without a board (ie zip around with the instructor and had a good time!)Also note, kitesurfing is tiring on the neck!

Mars Elinho: Highly recommended! We stayed one month with Tata & Team for Kitesurfing and it was a truly awesome experience, which we will never forget. The school is distinguished from the other schools, it lies about half a kilometer down from the bulk of kite schools, so there is much more space on the water. Also, the attached restaurant is just the best in La Boquilla. Tata & Team are the maximum possible of friendliness, helpfulness and they are very good teachers. Prices are very reasonable, you won’t get more Kitesurfing for less money anywhere else. The wind in late January-February was superb, 90%+ kiteable days.

I would recommend this outfit to a first time beginner coming to learn to friends who are experienced kiters wanting to rent good gear while they are in Cartagena. The school is attached to a wonderful area where you can hang out afterwards and have a beer - enjoy the sunset. There are showers and clean bathrooms as well.

Guardo mi equipo aquí para no tener que cargarlo hacia y desde el hotel todos los días. El personal es gente muy agradable, bombean tu cometa, manejan tus líneas y cuando terminas, lo desmontan todo por ti, realmente se encargan de tu equipo. Tienen duchas y un tanque de inmersión para enjuagar el equipo y a ti mismo. La comida es fantástica y la cerveza siempre está fría. Tomé una lección para mejorar mis kiteloops, dinero bien gastado, excelente instrucción y ahora he perdido para trabajar. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar, excelente ambiente, excelentes personas y grandes sonrisas.

agustin jaramillo: Excelente conocí la escuela hace unos años cuando trate de ingresar a la playa con una 10.5 mts y 30 nudos 🙈 ( peso 65 kg). Los instructores no me dejarón cometer ese locura. De alli conocí la escuela, el ambiente y profesionalismo 100% recomendado. De allí me quedé con flysurfer puedes rentar los equipos, finalmente compŕe los míos (la escuela es distribuidora oficial). Mis equipos los adquiri en la escuela sin nigún contratiempo ( 1 cometa soul 7 mts, 1 cometa soul 12 mts, barra para cada una, leash, tabla trip, arnes, leash y chaleco). Ansioso que suba el viento para regresar.

ahmed Zeytoun: Nice and friendly folks - says that transportation is covered - but it was not offered. Prices are very unclear. Seems that if the wind is not in your favour, you have to pay the price regardless. I came to take the 9 hour course, but after 7 hours (most of those dedicated to walking on the beach and waiting for the wind), i can barely stand on the board.$858 CAD was not the suitable price for this experience, nor was it clearly communicated that’s what the charges would be. Was a nice little surprise to end my stay in Cartagena

Also, fun sport!Note: If you really want to start from scratch and get all the way to water starting and turning upwind, make sure you give yourself plenty of time! (It took me 8 days of 2-hour lessons to get there. It varies a lot by person). Also check out the hostel that's in the same building.

Kevin Conrad: My friend and I had an awesome experience with Pure Kitesurf. We each had a 2 hour introductory kitesurfing lesson, which started with an introduction on the mechanics of operating the kite, and finished with operating the kite on our own in the water while getting pulled at a pretty high speed on our bellies. It was like a self-controlled rollercoaster ride!The instructors were very good at teaching and the learning environment was very positive. It was the most fun we had in the week we spent in Cartagena, and we're now hooked on kitesurfing.

Andreas Staub: Super organisiert mit Abholservice. Sehr gutes Kitematerial (Core). Restaurant mit feinen Menüs und cooler, kollegialer Athmosphäre. Perfekter Wind, wie ich es lange nicht mehr erleben konnte (Wind-Saison prüfen). Der Spot ist nicht überfüllt; genug Platz auf dem Wasser, was vorallem auch für Anfänger-Kiter ein grosses PLUS ist. Man hat auch die Möglichkeit sich einer Gruppe "Downwinder" anzuschliessen. Alles in allem war es top (voll empfehlenswert).
Orla Jori: Absolut tolle Kiteschule von Christina, top Material, tolles Team und Instruktoren (Danke Lisa ;) ), ein guter Ort um im Kiten Fortschritte zu machen.Wir verbrachten 1 Woche in Manzanillo und kamen dann noch einmal zurück ;-)Vielen Dank für die schöne Erfahrung 🙏

Oscar Schemmann: Awesome school and people!! Christina (the owner) is super friendly and equipped to help all levels of experience from zero (such as myself) to the people kiting for years. Instructors were super fun to kite/hangout with, they also speak multiple languages which is super helpful. Last but not least Zion Beach house (part of the same building) is a great place to stay, really giving you the full package. 10/10 would recommend and will come again!

I S.: Premières leçons de Kitesurf (9h+2h). Felipe est un instructeur très sérieux et patient. Il m'a donné de très bons conseils pour progresser mais aussi sur la sécurité. Je me suis senti très en confiance avec eux. J'y retournerai sans hésiter !PS: Pour venir/repartir depuis Cartagena il y a un bus VehiTrans qui passe toutes les 20-30minutes sur la route d'à côté pour 2600COP.

Jhon is very pedagogic and helped with all necessary basics.When the storm came i could not finish the class, so I received a refund for the hours I did not took.Everything was very easy to plan, organize, and the class itself (even if I drink a lot of seawater xD)The price is way below standards for this quality.I can definitely recommend the class with Jhon!

Olivia Jackson: First things first, the breakfast was delicious! We especially enjoyed trying the jugo de tomate de árbol. The paddling itself was so much fun! It was my first time ever trying it, so definitely don’t feel like you have to be experienced in order to participate. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique beach experience in Cartagena.
