Cartagena Villas | Luxury Vacation Homes & Mansions Colombia: what do users think?
Mary Magill: I recently booked a vacation home through Cartagena Villas, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The villa was stunning, with spacious rooms, luxurious amenities, and breathtaking views.
Chris Stamas: My only trusted contact in Cartagena! We rented an amazing 16 bedroom home right in the middle of the action.Cristian did an incredible job of getting us set up with everything we needed and became a friend during our trip.Danny was the house concierge and made sure that we were taken care of to the max!The two ladies cooking and cleaning were amazing and treated us like royalty!Security is a must in this town, and the two security guards looked after us the whole time but also let us do whatever we wantedYou can’t go wrong booking with these people!
Camilo P: Of those experiences that are worth repeating and recommending, you receive exactly what it is, and I would say even more, especially for the treatment, the cordiality, and how diligent they are. In this case, Christian our host behaved and gave us preferential treatment, he made us feel at home with each of our needs, highly recommended. The house we rented just as they offered us, and all the staff who were in charge of our stay, really what spectacular human beings. As I said, I say to come back and recommend
Jeffrey Talasazan: Nicest rental I’ve ever stayed at. Service, security, logistics (transportation, day trips, etc) were top tier. The place felt like a hotel. No shortage of beds or bathrooms. Pool was perfect temp. My only criticism is the rooms that face the clock tower can get a little loud at night but that shouldn’t stop you from booking this place.
Anh Huynh: Booking a vacation rental in another country that you don't speak the language can definitely be daunting and quite the adventure if not using a a global travel company like Airbnb. BUT since companies such as Airbnb charged outrageous fees to both the consumer and home owner I decided to put a little more research into booking the villa to for my bachelor party.I was able to find an exact match with Cartagena Villa for the exact property that I had previously targeted on Airbnb but at a significant discount. Of course, a lot of additional vetting and research had to be done to make sure the company was legit. Dealing with Carlos was great (he speaks fluent english) as he was prompt with his replies and did his best to make sure we were comfortable booking with them. He even hooked us up with airport transportation and met with us personally to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend Carlos and Cartagena Villas for your vacation rental needs!
Nick Antoine: Carlos was very helpful with selecting a villa and very responsive to my text messages. Great customer service!!! I’d recommend booking with them for sure!
Britney Darnell: Oh man! What can I not say about the wonderful experience I have had with Cartagena Villas?? It wouldn't have been the same without the great work and assistance of our agent Carlos Castro. He made our experience with Cartagena Villas seamless from the moment I started chatting with him :).Carlos was not only timely with his response, but he was thorough in his research. He spent countless days and hours helping me and my group find the right home to stay in for when we travel to Cartagena next February, and on top of that, he made sure that it was safe (since it would be just us girls on the trip), luxurious, comfortable and well-appointed in the city. What I admired most about Carlos was his distinct attention to detail as he traveled to each and every house on our list supplying me with live video and photos that he personally took to make sure that it was well described from the photos online and on the website of the house. I really liked this because it showed his fervency to make sure we had just the right place fit for us.But it didn't stop there! Carlos was able to not only negotiate a payment plan with the owner of the house that fit our financial needs, but he was able to also throw in a complimentary airport transfer for booking through Cartagena Villas! I also enjoyed his fun and witty conversation and his sound advice on places we should visit while in Cartagena. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have known of half the places to go!I don't think my experience would have been the same had I not been connected with Carlos. I have gained a Colombian friend out of him! Thanks, Carlos for your awesome work! We are grateful to you :)! If you ever get a chance to work with someone from the company, I hope you bet your lucky stars that it's him!We can't wait to visit Colombia for the first time next year!!
Private Jets New York: We've been working on a few occasions with Cartagena Villas for our clients accommodation needs and we're glad to say that they've completed all our bookings in a very professional manner. As a result of that, we've been receiving a lot of praise from our Clientèle in regards to the colonial houses they've inhabited. We're looking forward to build a stronger partnership with them and wholeheartedly endorse their homes and services to any other company or person.
Cyril Deregnaucourt: Amazing house - excellent for our family and friends. Good pricing and friendly staff with great service.Highly recommended!

Casa Claver Loft Boutique Hotel: what do users think?
Nathan: This was a really cool hotel to stay at. You feel like you are just surrounded by history. Walking distance to just about everything and very safe. All the good restaurants, bars, clubs, coffee shops, museums and anything else you need near by. The hotel staff was very nice and very accommodating. They made sure that we had everything we needed. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was fantastic! Spent the early mornings and late evenings walking around exploring, but the middle of the day just chilling by the rooftop pool sipping on the local cervezas. I would definitely stay here again.
Jason Oster: Great hotel at a good price. Clean and comfortable. Great staff. Nice rooftop views. Close to many great restaurants and activities.Rooms: Clean, comfortable apartments. Washing machine, cook top and refrigerator in the room.Walkability: Within the walls of the old fort/city, can walk to everything in a matter of minutes. Close to the beach.Food & drinks: Close to many great restaurants, coffee shops and shopping areas.
Cyassandra Frith: All around 5 Stars ⭐️We were a girls trip of 4 and the room offered PLENTY of space!! I’m an AC girl and the AC did NOT disappoint! The bathrooms were clean and décor was chic and functional. You get daily breakfast which was not only delicious but bought in suite daily and set up by the kind staff. I will definitely be back!!Pictures show views from the rooftop pool which is such a tranquil vibe!
Laura Torres: Wow!What a treat this place. The rooms are beautiful, the beds delicious. The staff was very attentive to our needs, they recommended a delicious place for dinner. The terrace has an unbeatable view of the city surrounded by the two most important domes of Cartagena.Excellent location. It's certainly not a cheap option, but it's worth every peso for the category of hotel.
Alissa Weinman: My friends and I stayed in a Deluxe room for 3 nights on the way back from Tayrona — to say we LOVED Casa Claver is to put it lightly. The hotel itself is so beautiful — from the plants in the lobby area to the downstairs pool to the incredible rooftop. We spent a good amount of time lounging on the rooftop pool taking in Cartagena, and also used it as a great hangout area before going out.The room itself was perfect for 3, but definitely could have fit 4 comfortably. The AC in the Cartagena heat was a godsend for us and the natural light made the room even better. As far as location, it was the perfect place to stay in the Walled City. It was a less than a ten minute walk to some of the must-sees in the area and a 13 minute walk to Getsemani. On top of everything, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating to us as travelers. I’d definitely stay here again!
Leandro Fajardo: Rooms: Espaçosos e confortáveis.Nearby activities: Dentro do Centro histórico de Cartagena.Walkability: No meio do centro histórico.
parthiv shah: Incredible! Breathtaking views from rooftop! Excellent location!
Alexandra Dékány: The good: The location is the absolute best. Everything—things to see/do, restaurants, shops—is within walking distance and it’s only about a 15 min drive from the airport (waking up at 6am and being able to wander around in the *empty* old city is priceless!). I want to give extra credit to the staff who are kind, helpful, attentive and they do their best! There are two pools—one inside and one on the rooftop. The rooftop area has a stunning view of the city. We got a standard double room on the first floor. Mini fridge in the room and closet to unpack clothes. Breakfast is included and it has to be ordered the day before for a specific time for the next morning. No buffet. Food is really delicious, the cooks are great. The not-so-good: there was no bottle water offered in the room, even though it would’ve been a nice touch and every other hotel offered it. WiFi barely works. The room looks right at the indoor pool and people obviously walk around there all the time which means zero privacy, unless you keep the roller shades down. For the same reason it’s not a quiet room either. There isn’t enough shelf space around the sink to keep toiletries there. Broken shower door—the water is spraying all over the bathroom floor.Walkability: Very walkable.
Daylen Perez: Quiet place recommended to restRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Aisha Batista: Stayed in Cartagena for 5 days.. We were hotel hopping to just get a feel for where we’d like to stay next time we come back to Colombia and this property was the best. The room was large, clean, and quiet. We had our own bathroom and our beds were both king sized. We had included breakfast delivered to our room which was also very delicious! We had the choice to choose from four different types of breakfasts, so so so nice. I really enjoyed the pool/rooftop. All it’s missing is a bar but overall the pool was so refreshing and perfect for the Cartagena heat. I am definitely coming back here. Also most importantly… there is so much nearby you can walk to.. I was going to stay at an Airbnb further away from the walled city but I’m glad I didn’t. I had friends who were staying there and they had to cab it everywhere because there was not many options close by. Everything was residential. I like being able to just walk outside and get some dinner options.I really loved this boutique hotel! Thanks for the amazing hospitality. I wish I would have stayed longer but the price went up like crazy after the 1st night so I went elsewhere… If you didn’t know, Cartagena is crazy busy in January due to holiday celebrations all month. So book accordingly and make sure you do your research or you won’t sleep at night por una chimba rumba. 😎🎉
Jaime Garcia: Very comfortable facilities. Excellent location in the heart of the walled town. Quiet atmosphere and spectacular staff attention. I would return for sure
Mary P: I think we got the smallest room in the entire hotel. Our room in way smaller than expected from the website. It’s on the 4th floor and very near the lovely pool which is really nice. The excellent breakfast is included and is absolutely amazing. They will even deliver it to your room balcony - which is necessary as there is no place to set it down inside your room. We ran into a few other minor issues: the door to the unit when closed still bangs in the wind and makes a loud knocking sound. We fixed that by filling the ice bucket with water to make it heavy and pushed it against the door to keep it in place. There’s not enough outlets for your phones so we had to unplug the clocks. There is NO ROOM whatsoever for toiletries in the bathroom. Most of my bath items are in my travel bags on the floor. The 2 bath towels are pretty scratchy. There were no hand towels. However, I would still recommend this place because of the views, the nice staff, the incredibly excellent breakfast, and the beautiful pool, and the fact that most of the rooms are larger than this one. If you want a larger room be sure you know what you are getting. The website indicated a very large king room with a large bathroom. This is not that. If you don’t mind such a small room, then this is just perfect.
Daymara Escarra: Excellent hotel, very good price for everything it offers. Huge rooms, breakfast in the room or in the area of the hotel you want. It is very quiet and is in the center, 2 blocks from the Clock Tower. In addition, the workers are very friendly and always willing to help.
Alejandro Cortez: The attention of its staff, the wonderful place and its location, its pool terrace and view make this place an unbeatable option when arriving in Cartagena... soon we will return without a doubt.
Jasmine Douglas: Just left the hotel today. Stayed for 5 days. Staff, amazing. Breakfast, amazing. Loved that we could ask the staff for recommendations or directions and they took the time to help us out. We checked out at noon today and the staff was nice enough to store our luggage away safely because our ride wasn’t there for airport pickup yet. Would definitely stay again.
Carolinne Polonio: Excelente hotel, próximo de tudo. Ficamos no Loft 303 e super recomendo.
Marianela Gerber: Spacious and comfortable roomsRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Steven Kern: Great boutique vibe for this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.
Matthew Koch: Amazing boutique hotel in the Old City of Cartagena. From our arrival until check-out the staff were so friendly and helpful. Right away we were upgraded to a nicer room, which was honestly too big for two of us to fully take advantage of, but we really appreciated it. The entire property was very clean and we'll kept. The breakfast each morning was delicious and filling, with a range of options that you order the night before. The rooftop pool had a great view and you can't miss taking advantage of it. We were alsp lucky enough to watch the parade in front of the hotel. Special shout-out to the front desk staff for helping arrange laundry, volunteering to walk me to an ATM when I was having troubles finding one that was open, and arranging our long taxi ride to Tayrona National Park. If we make it back to Cartagena, we will 100% be staying here again.Rooms: Spacious, clean, and comfortableFood & drinks: Delicious breakfast each day with 5 or 6 different options that you order the night before. The time range that you could eat, either downstairs near the courtyard pool or in your room, was I believe 7-10am, so very accommodating.
Rosanna Rodriguez: Such an amazing experience. This boutique was absolutely perfect! It was close to everything such as entertainment, restaurants, souvenir shops, clubs, etc. The view was breathtaking, and dreamy. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities you need. I will definitely be coming back here again, I felt safe which was extremely important for me. The only downside was that the WiFi really wasn't the best, it kept going in and out. But, it made you enjoy the moment more since you weren't constantly occupied on your phone. I extremely recommend doing a boutique rather than a hotel, it made the experience more personal.

Brett Tessler: When traveling to foreign countries I believe it's always best to stay in boutique hotels to get a better feel for the culture and this place makes you feel right at home! The staff treats you like family, the location is great, it's very secure, and we ate some of the best breakfasts we've ever had there. Special thanks to Mariano for going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction!
Greg Schamberg: Excellent boutique hotel right in the heart of Cartagena. The AC in the rooms worked perfectly. You'll appreciate that after a day of exploring the city. The pool was cozy and intimate, and also very clean. The rooms are fantastic and really well appointed and huge. The beds were disappointing, as they just weren't comfortable. The staff was top notch and super helpful, though. Even with the less than ideal beds, I'd highly recommend this place.Walkability: Super close to everything in the walled city.

Beige Matthews: Everything about this hotel is absolutely lovely and gorgeous. The location is spectacular and the staff is the best I’ve experienced in a very long time. The grounds are perfect and having Alma as the in-house restaurant is an absolute treat. If you want the boutique feel, but with luxury - no questions asked, this is the place to stay.
Brittany Mitro: We had the most amazing stay at Casa San Agustin. We honestly could not recommend it enough. We were in Cartagena on our honeymoon and this was the perfect choice for us.The staff was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The doorman helped us on numerous occasions when we weren't sure where to go (e.g., when we needed to find an ATM, or find somewhere for lunch) and was always so friendly. The staff at breakfast were also amazing - it always started our day off well (plus the breakfast food was DELICIOUS). The spa staff were also lovely, and the Passion for Life spa treatment was such a good choice - relaxing and romantic! The hotel itself was BEAUTIFUL - the way they use the original architecture (and the old aqueduct!) and created luxury rooms and a beautiful pool area meant we felt like we got a full Cartagena experience. The little library room where they had tea and coffee everyday was a really nice touch as well.We also took the opportunity to spend a day at their private beach property Acasi, which was a great way to see the Rosario Islands and get some beach-time in a relaxed and private venue. We highly recommend doing this if you are looking to venture out that way!Lastly, the location of the hotel was perfect - right in the centre of the walled city, among a range of fantastic restaurants - it really was the perfect choice for us.
Alison Rooney: Just left the property after staying for a week. I booked with FHR. The hotel is beautiful. The design and focus on Colombian history was gorgeous. I loved walking through it to see all of the art and design elements. What worked:Nice room upgrade and I loved the space. Well designed with a Nespresso maker and water provided. Lots of space to relax and a two tvs. The housekeeping was excellent and the room was well cared for. Turn down service was very welcome. The security and front door was always visible and they welcome everyone on arrival. Each person I met was kind and genuinely engaged in their role at the hotel.Breakfast was plentiful and some choices came off better than others. Dinner at Alma was quite good and I would recommend it.What needs work:Prior to arrival, I sent no less than 10+ emails to book airport pick ups, tours and dinners. All the messages went unanswered. I called. No one picked up. I booked my own dinners. For the activities, I wasn’t successful at getting these booked. The staff promised to follow up. Never did.I did a walking tour one day.Other than that, I did my own thing.I spoke with Paola and with Gladys. For some reason, the feedback didn’t make Ny measurable difference. The spa service was good but the manager kept trying to upswell me.Would I stay again?Probably not. I loved Cartagena!
Alexander Tucci: Horrendous Administrative Service - Our inability to reach the hotel led to an unfortunate situation where the administration refused to refund our payment or provide any flexibility for a future visit. It is strongly recommended to stay away from this place under all circumstances.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More

Megan Boling: My boyfriend and I booked a couples massage and it was absolutely incredible! We've both had massages from various places and agreed that this was the best massage we've ever had. The facility was beautiful and immaculate. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Ciaia, Yerenia, and Ludy were amazing and made the morning so special for us. We definitely plan on coming back and hope to be able to stay longer at this hidden gem!
Ganesha Thirumurthi: A truly wonderful hotel. The ambiance is lovely and very peaceful. The staff are incredible - so helpful and kind. Special thank you to Katherine, Andres and Edgar. If you are considering staying here we'd highly recommend it. It lives up to the great reviews.Deep tissue massage in the spa was also wonderful and the setting is very relaxing.I proposed at the hotel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.Highly recommend Casa San Agustin!

Bastión Luxury Hotel: what do users think?
erika samaniego: The rooms are beautiful. The pool looks so much bigger in the photos, in reality it was small and one family with kids can take all the space of it. However they have a lot of space to sit and sip some drinks at the rooftop. The staff was kind and helpful. We arrived very early and left late in the afternoon and were allowed to remain in the public areas of the hotel and they held our bags while we explored some more of the city.Rooms: Big and cozy, nice view from balcony and great showers.Nearby activities: So many good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Getsemani is about 15-20 mins away walking.

C Woods: Stayed here for 7 days. Rooms are big and comfy. Tile floors so bring your slippers. Bathrooms are nice size. Showers are great. They have nice products in the bathroom. They offer a nicebuffet breakfast in the restaurant but you can also get made to order breakfast. Lobby is nice to kick it and chill but depending on when you go, you might become a buffet for mosquitoes. There is a room next to the outdoor lobby area and it's comfy and a great place to hang out. The rooftop pool is amazing and the views from up there are phenomenal. Pool area is the perfect place to hang out and drink. Internet connection could be spotty at times but wasn't too bad. Front desk was very attentive to any of our needs. Staff was extremely accommodating. Nice hotel to stay at inside the Walled City.
Erica Chew: We spent 5 spectacular days there. The pool was great and the sunset views were stunning. Jorge gave great recommendations of things to do in town. Jordan helped find us reservations and hooked us up with a great walking tour with a local, Aura. Highly recommended. Only thing that I didn't like is they wouldn't heat up my leftovers. I had it in the fridge and was so excited to eat it the next morning but couldn't.Walkability: Great location. Everything in the old town was about 15 min walk max.
Craig R: Great location with full breakfast included. A full spa. A short walk to most parts of the city. Rooftop pool/bar with amazing service (Janner/Jorge are the best!). ANJLI SHAH: My husband and I stayed at Bastion for 4 nights. It is definitely not a “luxury” hotel for following reasons- as soon as we were allocated a room we realised the air conditioning unit was not working. The workmen did come and sort this out.We then realised our sink was getting clogged up and the water was not draining. This caused a sewage smell in the bathroom. We did let the manager know about this and he assured us it would be dealt with whilst we were sight seeing. Nothing seemed to be sorted. After 2 nights of sleeping in this room and finally making a fuss at reception they did change our room as they said the sink problem could not be sorted. However the second room we were allocated had a broken toilet roll holder, broken tiles on the bathroom floor, the shower wasn't draining quick enough hence was overflowing, the room telephone wasn't working. We did complain to the manager but he didn't seem to be too bothered. The room was definitely not fit to be allocated to a guest.- Breakfast was mediocre for a 'luxury' hotel! There were insects (fruit flies) all over the fresh fruit and the staff didn't seem to be bothered by it.The hotel is in a good location, slightly away from all the hustle and bustle but yet close enough. However I would recommend other hotels in the vicinity which are probably cheaper but have better service and rooms.
Maria Hernandez: 10/10 I would definitely come back and enjoy it again. From the decor to the service every details is thought to make it specialFood & drinks: The ceviche is amazing
Laura Patricia Támara Muñoz: Excellent service and attention. We marriedIn the Santo Toribio church, and arrive walking to the church. Very convenient they decorated the room on the wedding night and they were very special
René Francisco Torres Jugo: The hotel is excellent to spend a few days and get to know Cartagena from the walled city. It is very well located. The hotel is not ostentatious luxury, very nice to relax in a quiet environment. The staff is very polite and oriented to make things easier. The truth is that it is a characteristic of Cartagena, everyone is very helpful and cheerful.
Mo Gourrier: We had a great room next to the courtyard! The pool upstairs was wonderful with a bar and plenty of seating. The gentleman serving us by the pool was very friendly as well! The food and drinks were amazing.

Bantu Hotel: what do users think?
rich w: The staff were very friendly and helpful and a few spoke English. We liked the authenticity of the hotel and the location. What we didn't like was no hot water to shower most days and nights. Our bathroom had no roof above the tub that didn't hold water and was open to the outside elements. So when it rained it rained where the tub was also the humidity never let anything dry. The breakfast selections weren't great, you could pick pre-made items or fresh made eggs or omelets. We never ate dinner here since we weren't impressed with the breakfast. We tried the bar one night and took 30 to 40 minutes to make the worst mojitos I've ever had. I think this place could be better with improved maintenance and upgrades. There was also a lack of consistency of items in each room. There were other hotels close to this one that were well maintained and if I return I would try one of these.Walkability: Food and shopping are easy to walk to.
Daniel Ramos: Can’t say enough good things about Bantu. Great service. Rooms are unique. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great location. Clean. Two pools. Definitely coming back and bringing friends to experience.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
ARTURO G. BARROSO MERINO: .
Denisse D: Stayed here this past Memorial Weekend- 4 nights. I loved this cute, quaint, boutique hotel. Good location in the walled city. Walking distance to everything. Our room had one bed on the 1st fl and other bed upstairs. Cute set upBreakfast was great every morning variety and made eggs as you like. Small pool rooftop and other on 1st fl. I would definitely stay here again
Tirititrantran Fran: A super cozy hotel, with spectacular service and a magnificent location.

Eva Soriano Miguel: It is a beautiful hotel located in the beautiful historical center of the city but it is NOT a 5-star hotel with the services of its range.

Service ausgezeichnet. Tolles Angebot an frischen Früchten.
Wi-Fi throughout the site. Hot water and reliable power with good in-room air conditioning. Safe and comfortable for children. Breakfast was amazing: fruit, freshly squeezed juice, toast, made to order eggs, yogurt and muesli, pastries, coffee, tea. Excellent choice for a 4 night stay in Cartagena!

Selina Cartagena & Coworking Space: what do users think?
MUJICA REYES: The best hostel!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Shawn Mahoney: Very fun spot to stay.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Evan Huang: Rude front desk staff. Bathroom super dirty all the time, water smells weird so the entire room smells horrible 24/7. Many of the beds had extremely bloody sheets, pictures attached. The big pool in the other building was closed my whole stay. The other reviews about the absurdly loud music are correct, they play music so insanely loudly on the roof for some reason. If there was some kind of event going on I could understand, but the music is like this all of the time. It is so loud that it’s impossible to just chill by the pool or even talk to someone. No social vibe at all, filled with older people working which is kind of expected at a Selina. My room was filled with Israelis who would wake up at 9am and start yelling to eachother. Overall horrible experience, and definitely not up to the Selina quality standard.
Alex DeCapri: Avoid this Selina. I should have read the reviews before booking.I've worked at various hostels and traveled for years in hostels. I've stayed at two other Selinas that were ok. This Selina is the WORST hostel experience I've ever had in my life. Book somewhere else.---When we arrived at 6pm after a 14-hour travel day, their reservation system was down and they told us to just wait. They didn't do anything or offer anything in the meantime. We just wanted to shower, so I had them grab a few towels for us. I've worked in a couple of hostels during my travel days, and the least you can do is greet people and welcome them with some water or a dang towel when things aren't working. They were, however, super concerned about me paying, even though they couldn't get us to a room for over 1.5 hours. 😂We stayed in a Micro room with a shared bathroom. Luckily, we didn't have mold or bed bugs, like other reviews have shared... but the room was super humid and dank. No fans or circulation other than the AC, which would have been fine...But part of the city lost power and Selina's generator isn't powerful enough for the building. No lights or AC (or any way to circulate the air) from 2am-7am. I went down to reception four times during these hours to get updates and ask for a different room. There were other rooms where the elctricty was working. Ours wasn't. They refused to move us. We only were able to sleep from 7-11am, missing our included breakfast, so we had to go buy breakfast somewhere else.Half of the people at reception are always in a bad mood, stressed, and as if they can't be bothered. When I went to buy a water, the guy just shoved the card reader towards me without speaking. When the "tap" didn't work, he just shoved it closer to my face to show my it was refused. Didn't offer to try the chip. I feel like I had to guide everyone at reception to help them do their job better. Zero customer service skills, and it's not a language barrier.Upon check out, I told them we wanted a discount on the first night, as we didn't get anything we paid for. We couldn't sleep. We didn't get AC or power. We weren't allowed into our rooms until 7:30pm. Nothing went well. They refused and only offered a 10% discount after 15 minutes of conversation. Said their manager was in a meeting and they had to charge me.For $40 USD/night for a tiny, humid jail cell where the door brushes against the bed when you open it, this place is a total scam.Nobody ever responded to our WhatsApp messages either. It’s linked in the Selina app but nobody bothers to get back to you.-Bathrooms are moldy and not clean (no circulation or fans).-Toilet paper regularly ran out (shared bathroom) and nobody refilled, so I went to get some.-Music is obnoxiously loud in the lobby at early hours and all day at the pool. If you are a light sleeper, good luck. The only good thing is the food at the restaurant is actually pretty good and has some vegan options, just a bit pricy.
No: Good location and the roof top and entrance are very nice but the rooms are actual hell. Covered in mold and I woke up with bug bites. The rooms are so moldy it made my throat hurt.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
David Pomar: Very nice, an incredible view, some prices are affordable, others are a bit high, especially the drinks
Damian Dormer: Great location near old town with rooftop pool for sunset drinks (but very expensive 30000+ for a g&t, slow). Polite & helpful security.Room (A118) was average at best. Shower alternated between too hot & too cold ever 10 seconds, didn't drain fast enough, and needed constant ventilation to avoid the whole room smelling ultra-dank. Bed on it's last legs. Loud drunk dorm neighbours downstairs between 3&4am despite quiet curfew.Reception staff are a mix of rude (young man with short hair) & fun (the others!).The included breakfast - small, dry powdery scrambled eggs.Place could be much better if they had reasonably priced drinks & good service, both rooftops people were usually scarce, probably because it's much easier to find a good experience elsewhere. After the welcome drink it's like yeah nah.Perhaps the other Selina locations are better?
Arturo Cerda: The bathroom was very dirty, the kitchen too, the floor was stained and with a paint that came off when walking, the air conditioning broke down and they couldn't fix it. I do not recommend it at all.
Blink: Very bad service, and the rooms are disgusting. First they give me one full of insects, I asked for the change, they didn't want to change it, after a long time of waiting they give me another one, drops of water were falling everywhere, in the end I ended up in the lobby again asking for a refund, supposedly the Manager was not there and they did not refund me anything. one of my worst experiences in that hotel. I paid $600 for 3 days, I had to go to another hotel.
Corinne B: Very good hostel with clean facilities, beautiful pools (yes, there are 2), good food offer, fun bar and a very broad offer of tours and services like laundry. There's even a café at the back and yoga classes in the morning. Seems like they thought of everything. The showers have hot water and good pressure. Thank you for your hospitality.
A Quevedo: Great location, low budget all you need in one placeRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Jordan George: Pros:The location. Walking distance from the clock tower. But also walking distance to a lot of the old town. The welcome drink was wonderful. There are two buildings. Building A, the building with reception, has two locations to get food from which were good and the staff were nice. The rooftop view is amazing.I appreciated the lockers in the room we got. The first room did not have them.We booked a Rosario island excursion through Selina’s activity booking system. It was a fun experience. And I believe it was cheaper as well compared to going through TripAdvisor. The coworking space was great. Wifi speeds as well as a developer. Zoom was occasionally unstable. Most of the reception staff was friendly. An aesthetically pleasing place when not paying attention to details.Cons:My partner and I had a private room with a shared bathroom. The cleaning staff cleaned the bathroom everyday but it was more like straightening up instead of actually decently cleaning. The toilet and sink for example kept the same amount of gunk on them. But when the shower drain started to clog they did help with getting it to drain properly. The coworking restroom could be cleaned a lot better. I tried to avoid touching the walls. More toilet paper could be provided as it frequently ran out. Sometimes the water wasn’t running in this restroom. The trash bin was not conducive to putting toilet paper there while using the toilet. When we first got there we were put in a room that was hard to breathe in. We felt like it had something to do with mold. We saw that the AC unit was dripping and covered in a black substance which we assumed was mold. We were thankfully moved to another room.It looked like a lot of mold was covered with paint and there was no proper ventilation to really prevent it in the bathrooms. One day we saw some staff inspecting a bed that looked like it had bed bug blood stains on them near our room so that caused some anxiety.

Kimberly Guerin: We stayed at the Hyatt Cartagena for a family vacation. Isabel checked us in and was super accommodating. Her customer experience skills are superb. We arrived a couple of hours before checking, she graciously provided a hospitality room for us to change our clothes. While we were out exploring the city, she had our luggage conveniently transported to our room and emailed me. I appreciate the level of service she provided!Rooms: We booked a suite and it was just what we needed; 2 rooms 1 master and 2nd room with 2 twin size beds. Balcony overlooking the water. The pullout couch was super convenient for our family of 5 and the room was spacious.Safety: One of the reasons we decided to stay at the Hyatt was for safety purposes. We have stayed at the Hyatt in other countries and felt extremely safe.I like the idea of having to take 2 sets of hotels to get tothe room. This provides a layer of security bc you gave to go to the main lobby to access the room elevator.Walkability: The hotel is conveniently located in Boca Grande, next to a mall with many shops and in front of a grocery store. It's a couple of mins away via Uber to the Walled City.Food & drinks: We had room service, the food was good and priced reasonably. The drinks by the pool were amazing. We ordered mojitos and they were great!
Emilce Lopez: Everything perfect, very good and very beautiful.
claudia prieto: The hotel is new. Luxury, spectacular, spacious rooms with an incredible view, intelligent climate inside the rooms that ensure a restful sleep, the food is delicious buffet and à la carte, there are several restaurants and a pool area for adults and families. Spectacular pool environment with dj that enlivens everything. The hotel is very large, very safe, the attention of all the staff is first class, luxury at all costs. I loved it, I will surely return to the hyatt chain. Highly recommended.

Jay Peralta: I had such an amazing stay at this Hyatt for a 6 day trip to Cartagena. The views are gorgeous, though it is such a shame the beach is being completely rebuilt so during our stay we just saw construction every day by the water. The service was exceptional and the restaurants were all great. All of the pools have a great view and are never too busy.

They were always cheerful, chatty and genuinely interested in your daily activities as a hotel guest. Nice hotel always tidy and very nice employees. Highly recommended!Rooms: Top well cared for and beautiful view.Nearby activities: This hotel is very centrally located. It is literally next to a Mall and also central to all the sights in Colombia.Safety: Top, 24/7 security at this hotelalthough this is totally unnecessary in CartagenaFood & drinks: Really amazing. Always tasty and well served.
Alejandrina Peralta Cambumba: Excellent place, attentive staff, helpfulRooms: beautiful view, clean, comfortable
Henry Rugeles: Just amazing! Expensive, though! However, the beach across the street is closed under construction.Rooms: Feel and decor of a mid-town Manhattan high-end apartment. Hi tech. Full of modern amenities.Nearby activities: Next to a mall, but very not much else within walking distance.Safety: Super safe. Front desk @ 11th. Floor. Switch to guarded different bank of elevators to access rooms. Need room key to go just to your floor.Food & drinks: Breakfast is amazing. Excellent d'oeuvres and coffee in the conference rooms area.
Hugo G. Guzmán: The best.Rooms: Spacious and well-lit. Very comfortable bed.Nearby activities: Many nearby restaurants, shopping stores and malls.Safety: Well monitored at all times. Staff by elevators in both the lobby and the main entrances.
Luis H Alvarez: Excellent view, very well located.I felt very well.
Maria Helena Benedetti: I had the experience of having a delicious afternoon, with a buffet included. Exquisite all delicious time. The stay was to relax. I recommend the hotel, in an excellent area located.Food & drinks: Excelente! Tiene variedades exquisitas en alimentos menu internacional. Delicioso!

JAF: If you are looking for a place that is walking distance to everything, great customer service, great breakfast, spacious rooms, and beautiful views from the rooftop, this is it, don’t even bother looking elsewhere. We were supposed to stay only 3 nights at this Hotel, and 2 nights in Bocagrande, we loved this place so much that we decided to stay at Sophias Hotel all 5 nights. What made our stay so special was the staff: Belky during our daily breakfast, she is simply the best, along with Julia and Jonny. Deiver, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, from checking in, looking how to accommodate our two extra nights and tours recommendations. We had such a great vacation in Cartagena, and this hotel was a big part of it. We would definitely be coming back. ,

Jonathan Larrad: Very nice hotel in a very good location. Staff are very helpful. The pool on the top floor is a very nice rest bite from the heat.Breakfast is pretty good.We did have an issue with the toilet that they tried to resolve a few times but by the end I assumed it was an ongoing problem that they werent telling us as they never really fixed it and. I just ended up asking for a plunger. 😊
David guzman caro: Excelente lugar
Matthew Demaris: Going to Cartagena? Stay at this hotel! The location is located in a quiet courtyard making it ideal to avoid the noise of the nearby clubs and bars. The pool has the best view and the rooms are spacious. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly professional and very very helpful. Thanks for helping us book a car to Barranquilla and for everything else. 5 stars in my book!
Priyanka Raheja: Probably one of the worst hotels we stayed in during our Colombia trip in terms of price quality ratio. Tiny reception, small room and awful sound proofing. At night you can hear doors banging constantly as people get in and out of their rooms and hallway noise echoes into the room as loud Americans shout in the corridors. We barely slept and left after one night. Beware that most of the reviews on here are for the rooftop bar, which in my opinion is the best feature of the hotel but still not the best one in Cartagena. There are many other boutique hotels you are better off staying in that are much better and at a similar price. To be fair to the staff, they heard our complaints and we ended up getting a 30% refund (which we still haven’t received)
BRENDA MELGOZA: Please put a mirror in the rooms. There are none in my room and it's hard for a woman to stay where there are no mirrors
Marie McFalls: Rooftop pool daypass is a must-do in Cartagena. The views are stunning, the staff is kind, and everything is very detail-oriented and relaxing. Price (at time of writing) was 220,000 pesos, of which 80,000 is consumable at the bar/restaurant.
Alain Váron Núñez: Excellent. Wrapped in colonial magic. Near everything. Very good attention.
In Qui: We went on December 31 to look for an option to have dinner and spend New Year's Eve, and Marjorie attended us; She was very friendly and cheerful, she made us feel welcome, she explained everything to us in detail, and she took us to see the terrace.Spending there at the end of the year and my birthday was the best decision since the food was delicious, the view was beautiful, the decoration was very nice and the live music was also 20/10.
Luis Fernando Calvo Castillo: Since we arrived it was a service with a very good energy, Marjorie made us feel at ease, we left very grateful.
