Amarla Boutique Hotel Cartagena: what do users think?
Daniel Rubio Sánchez: The hotel is fantastic. Well located, taken care of and the staff makes you feel like home. I recommend it without hesitation.
David Weber: We had the pleasure of staying at Amarla Boutique Hotel in Cartagena for 2 days and it was simply perfect! The hotel has a great location in the heart of the old town and its staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the spacious rooms to their rooftop terrace with stunning views, every detail is guaranteed to make your stay a memorable one. Highly recommend it!
julian roth: Service is a bit slow but I supose its part of the carribean experience. Staff is very friendly and the hotel is beautiful.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Carmen Morawska: This is such a special hotel. The common areas are beautiful, and it has definitely kept its colonial charm whilst feeling very luxurious. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The only issue is we had a desk semi-blocking the door, so accessing the balcony wasn’t easy. It’s also worth noting that it’s quite noisy at night. Not the hotel’s fault as it’s coming from the street below, but for the rooms that face the road, maybe they could offer earplugs. The shower did not get very hot for very long and the old shower head means the water sort of splatters in weird directions, but it wasn’t terribly inconvenient. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating.
Marc Jerome: My wife and I just returned from a three night stay at this wonderful boutique property. The stay was wonderful because both the property and the service were excellent. Our room—#1– was lovely, quiet and peaceful with high ceilings and a large bathroom. The common areas are beautiful and stylish. The rooftop pool was perfect to relax at. But most importantly, the level of service was so good, we felt like we were staying at a private Villa. Every morning, fresh coffee with hot milk was waiting for us before our run. Breakfast, which is included, was delicious. See photos below. For the price, you cannot beat the level of service or room amenities. We highly recommend this 6 room hidden gem. Special shout out to the wonderful staff, including our food server, Dorian; Otto who greeted us in the am and Eduardo andClaudia, who helped make our stay memorable.
John: Other than the outside noise at night, our stay could not have been better.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Maria Jose Gaviria: It is a wonderful hotel, very welcoming, the food is delicious, we enjoyed it. We celebrated our marriage at Amarla and it was wonderful. The location is great, very central. The rooms are very comfortable
Jessie: Gorgeous hotel in a fantastic location. The hotel is impeccably styled and includes a delicious made to order breakfast. Rooms were clean and beautiful and the staff was super friendly. Definitely the place to stay in Cartagena
Aníbal Rojas: Is a great place, cool room but not really practical because all the vintage furniture and some odd choices in the bathroom. Marcel Rivera Díaz: Great event spaceexceptional service
Ana Isis Duarte: Amarla far exceeded expectations in all facets. The staff was courteous, helpful, attentive, and went above and beyond to make my family’s stay absolutely marvelous. Everything on the breakfast menu is outstanding and the staff gladly made any slight alterations to meals to meet there needs of the pickiest of eaters. The front office staff are experts of the old town and have amazing recommendations for food and sights. They were extremely helpful in navigating transportation needs. 100% stay here if you are in Cartagena!!!For any event, I highly recommend Angie. She was detail oriented, responsive, and well-connected. She is personable and navigated any request, no matter how last-minute, with care, attention to detail, and grace. She made the entire wedding party feel at home and provided us with service that went above and beyond her role. She truly is an amazing person and fantastic at her job. We were lucky to work with her and would jump at any opportunity to work with her again if the opportunity would arise. Truly and eternally grateful for her work and partnership throughout the planning and execution of our wedding.

Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Cartagena: what do users think?
Sebastian Leon: Exceptional service, location, pool, spa, food, drinks, and energy. Best of all is the kindness, generosity, professionalism, warmth, and tirelessness of the *entire* staff. There are service charges that are a critical ingredient in making this experience possible, but please be as generous with gratuities as you can. The team that works at Sofitel Santa Clara is presidential. 3000% on point. And there are friendly ghosts. Not everyone can experience them but they’re there and it’s a good thing.Noteworthy details: Magical and positively haunted hotel.

Lorena LM: Absolutely amazing hotel, a truly 5-star experience! Staff are incredible and go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. From Jesus welcoming special guests to the mayordomos (thank you Rudy, Diego, Amaury and Armando!) and everyone else in the hotel. The facilities are stunning and full of history and the food is amazing in all restaurants. I highly recommend the restaurant 1621 for amazing fine dining! Can’t wait to go back one day!
Vilma Barrios: I had lunch with my family, excellent attention, service and food
Karen McNeill: This place is worth every penny! The people are beautiful, welcoming, and most of all kind. The rooms are a little outdated, but for the most part you don’t spend a lot of time in your room. The hotel has everything you need and it’s conveniently located to shops and restaurants. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate you. I highly recommend this place. They nailed “customer service”! I will return!
Luchy Cuentas May: Simply, the best place at all times... I highlight the warmth and simplicity of its collaborators...Food & drinks: Las habitaciones, sus áreas, su gastronomía, en fin todo es excelente. Es un lugar muy completo.
Gustavo Enrique Soto: Excellent menu served by high-level professionals
Juancho Arcilla: It was a flawless lunch. Pate of black and green olives, capers and anchovies on bread.Exquisite seafood casserole accompanied by Viognier blanc wine.Excellent prices

Camilo de Molina E.: Great hotel. Excellent service. They care about every single detail. If you go to the bar ask for the Fizz Del Este cocktail.
Beige Matthews: Everything about this hotel is absolutely lovely and gorgeous. The location is spectacular and the staff is the best I’ve experienced in a very long time. The grounds are perfect and having Alma as the in-house restaurant is an absolute treat. If you want the boutique feel, but with luxury - no questions asked, this is the place to stay.
Brittany Mitro: We had the most amazing stay at Casa San Agustin. We honestly could not recommend it enough. We were in Cartagena on our honeymoon and this was the perfect choice for us.The staff was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The doorman helped us on numerous occasions when we weren't sure where to go (e.g., when we needed to find an ATM, or find somewhere for lunch) and was always so friendly. The staff at breakfast were also amazing - it always started our day off well (plus the breakfast food was DELICIOUS). The spa staff were also lovely, and the Passion for Life spa treatment was such a good choice - relaxing and romantic! The hotel itself was BEAUTIFUL - the way they use the original architecture (and the old aqueduct!) and created luxury rooms and a beautiful pool area meant we felt like we got a full Cartagena experience. The little library room where they had tea and coffee everyday was a really nice touch as well.We also took the opportunity to spend a day at their private beach property Acasi, which was a great way to see the Rosario Islands and get some beach-time in a relaxed and private venue. We highly recommend doing this if you are looking to venture out that way!Lastly, the location of the hotel was perfect - right in the centre of the walled city, among a range of fantastic restaurants - it really was the perfect choice for us.
Alison Rooney: Just left the property after staying for a week. I booked with FHR. The hotel is beautiful. The design and focus on Colombian history was gorgeous. I loved walking through it to see all of the art and design elements. What worked:Nice room upgrade and I loved the space. Well designed with a Nespresso maker and water provided. Lots of space to relax and a two tvs. The housekeeping was excellent and the room was well cared for. Turn down service was very welcome. The security and front door was always visible and they welcome everyone on arrival. Each person I met was kind and genuinely engaged in their role at the hotel.Breakfast was plentiful and some choices came off better than others. Dinner at Alma was quite good and I would recommend it.What needs work:Prior to arrival, I sent no less than 10+ emails to book airport pick ups, tours and dinners. All the messages went unanswered. I called. No one picked up. I booked my own dinners. For the activities, I wasn’t successful at getting these booked. The staff promised to follow up. Never did.I did a walking tour one day.Other than that, I did my own thing.I spoke with Paola and with Gladys. For some reason, the feedback didn’t make Ny measurable difference. The spa service was good but the manager kept trying to upswell me.Would I stay again?Probably not. I loved Cartagena!
Alexander Tucci: Horrendous Administrative Service - Our inability to reach the hotel led to an unfortunate situation where the administration refused to refund our payment or provide any flexibility for a future visit. It is strongly recommended to stay away from this place under all circumstances.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Zara Whittier: Great placeRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Christiam Enrique Fischer Vargas: Boutique hotel in the walled city of Cartagena with a colonial style and a lot of history, excellent service from its employees
Beba: Excellent attention from the bar, the guys are super friendly and attentive... we didn't stay, we just went for a few drinksFood & drinks: Excelente
Megan Boling: My boyfriend and I booked a couples massage and it was absolutely incredible! We've both had massages from various places and agreed that this was the best massage we've ever had. The facility was beautiful and immaculate. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Ciaia, Yerenia, and Ludy were amazing and made the morning so special for us. We definitely plan on coming back and hope to be able to stay longer at this hidden gem!
Ganesha Thirumurthi: A truly wonderful hotel. The ambiance is lovely and very peaceful. The staff are incredible - so helpful and kind. Special thank you to Katherine, Andres and Edgar. If you are considering staying here we'd highly recommend it. It lives up to the great reviews.Deep tissue massage in the spa was also wonderful and the setting is very relaxing.I proposed at the hotel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.Highly recommend Casa San Agustin!

Cartagena Villas | Luxury Vacation Homes & Mansions Colombia: what do users think?
Mary Magill: I recently booked a vacation home through Cartagena Villas, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The villa was stunning, with spacious rooms, luxurious amenities, and breathtaking views.
Chris Stamas: My only trusted contact in Cartagena! We rented an amazing 16 bedroom home right in the middle of the action.Cristian did an incredible job of getting us set up with everything we needed and became a friend during our trip.Danny was the house concierge and made sure that we were taken care of to the max!The two ladies cooking and cleaning were amazing and treated us like royalty!Security is a must in this town, and the two security guards looked after us the whole time but also let us do whatever we wantedYou can’t go wrong booking with these people!
Camilo P: Of those experiences that are worth repeating and recommending, you receive exactly what it is, and I would say even more, especially for the treatment, the cordiality, and how diligent they are. In this case, Christian our host behaved and gave us preferential treatment, he made us feel at home with each of our needs, highly recommended. The house we rented just as they offered us, and all the staff who were in charge of our stay, really what spectacular human beings. As I said, I say to come back and recommend
Jeffrey Talasazan: Nicest rental I’ve ever stayed at. Service, security, logistics (transportation, day trips, etc) were top tier. The place felt like a hotel. No shortage of beds or bathrooms. Pool was perfect temp. My only criticism is the rooms that face the clock tower can get a little loud at night but that shouldn’t stop you from booking this place.
Anh Huynh: Booking a vacation rental in another country that you don't speak the language can definitely be daunting and quite the adventure if not using a a global travel company like Airbnb. BUT since companies such as Airbnb charged outrageous fees to both the consumer and home owner I decided to put a little more research into booking the villa to for my bachelor party.I was able to find an exact match with Cartagena Villa for the exact property that I had previously targeted on Airbnb but at a significant discount. Of course, a lot of additional vetting and research had to be done to make sure the company was legit. Dealing with Carlos was great (he speaks fluent english) as he was prompt with his replies and did his best to make sure we were comfortable booking with them. He even hooked us up with airport transportation and met with us personally to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend Carlos and Cartagena Villas for your vacation rental needs!
Nick Antoine: Carlos was very helpful with selecting a villa and very responsive to my text messages. Great customer service!!! I’d recommend booking with them for sure!
Britney Darnell: Oh man! What can I not say about the wonderful experience I have had with Cartagena Villas?? It wouldn't have been the same without the great work and assistance of our agent Carlos Castro. He made our experience with Cartagena Villas seamless from the moment I started chatting with him :).Carlos was not only timely with his response, but he was thorough in his research. He spent countless days and hours helping me and my group find the right home to stay in for when we travel to Cartagena next February, and on top of that, he made sure that it was safe (since it would be just us girls on the trip), luxurious, comfortable and well-appointed in the city. What I admired most about Carlos was his distinct attention to detail as he traveled to each and every house on our list supplying me with live video and photos that he personally took to make sure that it was well described from the photos online and on the website of the house. I really liked this because it showed his fervency to make sure we had just the right place fit for us.But it didn't stop there! Carlos was able to not only negotiate a payment plan with the owner of the house that fit our financial needs, but he was able to also throw in a complimentary airport transfer for booking through Cartagena Villas! I also enjoyed his fun and witty conversation and his sound advice on places we should visit while in Cartagena. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have known of half the places to go!I don't think my experience would have been the same had I not been connected with Carlos. I have gained a Colombian friend out of him! Thanks, Carlos for your awesome work! We are grateful to you :)! If you ever get a chance to work with someone from the company, I hope you bet your lucky stars that it's him!We can't wait to visit Colombia for the first time next year!!
Private Jets New York: We've been working on a few occasions with Cartagena Villas for our clients accommodation needs and we're glad to say that they've completed all our bookings in a very professional manner. As a result of that, we've been receiving a lot of praise from our Clientèle in regards to the colonial houses they've inhabited. We're looking forward to build a stronger partnership with them and wholeheartedly endorse their homes and services to any other company or person.
Cyril Deregnaucourt: Amazing house - excellent for our family and friends. Good pricing and friendly staff with great service.Highly recommended!

Hotel Las Islas: what do users think?
Nick Elias: AVOID AT ANY COST , AND CHECK YOUR BILL WHEN YOU CHECK OUT !GOT OVER CHARGED $700! TOOK ME OVER AN HOUR TO SORT IT OUT , OVER 8 CHARGES THAT WERE A "MISTAKE" !NOT SO MUCH A "MISTAKE" READ OTHER REVIEWS, SAMS EXPERIENCE.Private pool was like a swamp !Rooms: Private pool was like a swamp !
Anna Restrepo: The accommodations were amazing! We really enjoyed having bikes to ride around the resort as well as being able to call for a golf cart. We also really enjoyed the private beaches and excursions (snorkeling) that were offered. The spa massage was also amazing! We gave the resort 4 stars because the food was good but nothing wow-ed us. Overall, we had a fantastic get away here and would definitely recommend the resort!
Alison Brown: Let’s start with the good. The location is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are stunning. It has the potential to be a really wonderful hotel. Having a bungalow overlooking the ocean (#28) was so peaceful and serene. I also liked that you could call a golf cart to take you around, because many things were spread out (15 minute walk) which can be nice at times, but it’s also extremely hot and humid and the paths are not well lit at night. The food we had was also amazing, highly highly recommend the sea bass!! It was also neat to take the boat to the private island which had another pool, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and a full bar and restaurant. Having cocktails while swimming in the warm ocean was delightful. The rooftop bar was also very cool and I watched a lightning storm for an hour one night while sipping on piña coladas. The not so great, which disappoints me to say, is that we were overcharged by nearly $600. When we checked out, there was over $300 worth of charges for things we cancelled or changed, and it took over 30 minutes for them to remove them. Our boat was departing so we asked for an itemized receipt to be emailed, which finally arrived 1 week later after asking for it 4 times, in which I found close to another $300 worth of overcharges. One of my massages was significantly overcharged and other random things like mini bar food was charged that we did not consume. Word of advice: DO NOT book through their website because you will NOT get a confirmation of how much you paid when you booked. In addition to this, when we arrived to our beautiful bungalow Friday evening for two nights, our pool was nearly empty. Upon 8pm, it was still not full. This was extremely disappointing, especially given the price we were paying. Our shower was also completely broken. Barely any water would come out, it was moldy, falling apart, and there were worms wriggling on the ground, and the hot water did not work the entire time we stayed in that room. Only a few hours into our stay, and we had multiple repair people there fixing things and they didn’t even fix the shower after spending hours in our bungalow. They also left tools in the bathroom.Saturday we asked to speak with the hotel manager, Eduardo, who was lovely. We had spent most of our time at the hotel listening to construction noise due to a remodel of some kind a couple bungalows over, which continued the entire weekend, unacceptable without warning or the option for a discount. We discussed getting to stay for one complimentary night at the private island to make up for our bungalow being unusable for the first night. It took them over 24 hours to figure out if this was possible, and honestly after two days of no showers, we were thinking we call it a loss and head home. We finally heard back that we could stay, so we moved our stuff to the private island and had a brand new bungalow for one night, which was lovely and very beautiful. Unfortunately you can only order room service from there, which is fine, except we were charged a tip for using the mini bar and we were charged for things we did not take.Overall, operationally, this hotel is a mess. They should not be renting bungalows that are inoperable with showers that do not function at $600 a night surrounded by loud construction noise. The stress of dealing with all the issues during our stay, and that I’m still dealing with nearly two weeks later, is unacceptable, especially at their price point. The fact that we were overcharged by $600 is also EXTREMELY alarming. If you decide to stay here, take photos of all receipts and plan to spend at least an hour upon check out making sure everything is correct and the price on your bill is what you were quoted.
Krista Frederic: Remote, beautiful resort for a quiet getaway. The bungalows are private and lovely whether in the trees or on the water. Recommend 3 days or so here to experience the resort and local offerings. Staff are very attentive and responsive but not overly so. Food is very good with a wide variety of choices for all meals unlike some similar resorts. Great value!
Nicolás Arízaga: Excellent hotel for a couple's trip. The Bungalow type room in the trees has a spectacular view and at the same time gives a lot of privacy. I recommend waking up at 6am and going to the top floor of the restaurant where dinner is served to watch the sunrise with the awakening of the birds and the iguanas that are in the treetops. The breakfast is very varied and has healthy options.
Pamela Carolina Muñoz Faundez: Wonderful hotel, ideal to rest and disconnect from the world. The restaurant menu is poor, but everything else is ok.100% recommended.
magda cisneros: The place is incredible, perfect to disconnect from everything and feel part of nature. I loved being there. The hotel is very large and you can get around by bike or golf carts. It has two private beaches and one of them has a very nice infinity pool.
Laura: It was peaceful, but with plenty to do. I’ve never been to a better hotel in my entire life. Additional to the cost of the hotel for the night, plan to budget for the activities, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. One of the best bungalows is number three 😉Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet …More
Radu Nan: We took a couples retreat to this resort while in Colombia. The property is isolated from the town of Baru and is set in a forest and along the shore. Our bungalow was set on the shore and had a private seawater pool. The setting is nice at first but lacked privacy. The food options were limited and mediocre. Staff were friendly. The location is too far from Cartagena and too expensive for the age of the resort and limited amenities.Rooms: Great views, lack privacy, old interiorSafety: Felt safe on property. The car ride is long and roughWalkability: Easy to walk and bike on propertyFood & drinks: Mediocre with limited menu
Izzy: Like others, I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the negative reviews. We stayed 2 nights and happily our experience was wonderful from start to finish. We stayed in one of the treehouses which was beautiful. Clean, spacious and a totally unique experience. You are essentially in the jungle canopy, so there will be a few bugs and lizards but that’s to be expected and wasn’t an issue for us at all. The hotel grounds and beaches are beautiful and well looked after. You can either cycle or walk between areas - it’s a big property but walking doesn’t usually take more than 15 minutes depending on where your room is and where you’re trying to get to. Alternatively you can call for a buggy. Staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is excellent and in one of the most magical settings right on the water. There’s a choice of fruit, hams, cheese and eggs as well as coffee and fresh juice. The lunch options are equally good - we particularly enjoyed the ceviche and gazpacho on the beach. Dinner was also excellent - we had the grill option, fish and pasta during our stay there and it was all delicious. Service was very good - we never had to wait long or re-order anything. The sky was too cloudy for stars but the guy went out of his way to focus the telescope on the moon which was amazing to see in such detail. The bar has amazing views over the property so definitely worth a visit too. You can also kayak and paddleboard or swim to the little jetty with deck chairs floating in the sea.I struggle to understand the negative reviews - it’s strange that experiences can be so inconsistent. I would say that it is an ecological resort in the jungle so be prepared to manage your expectations accordingly. The phone in the room didn’t work but they sent someone out right away and fixed it. The wifi can be a little patchy and we had some geckos and a monkey visiting our balcony but again, that’s the location. For us it was a magical experience and the perfect setting for our engagement. We will remember it forever. Thank you!
Ross Kirby: Don’t believe any reviews about this fantastic resort that fall below five star! The setting is idyllic, the staff are first class and the whole atmosphere is incredibly special. The hotel is immersed amongst beautiful wildlife and the beaches are private and serene. If you want an authentic yet luxurious experience, this is it.The bungalows themselves are very well kitted out and extremely comfortable. The food throughout the resort across each of the three restaurants is delicious and offers a great variety.Any review of this place that falls below 5 star suggests a high maintenance and uptight reviewer!Would 100% recommend and hopefully return!
Elvi Thio: This place cannot be more than a 2-star resort. We were a group of 10 girls with 5 separate bookings. It was a logistical nightmare (among many other things) and we met other guests during our stay who experienced similar issues / arguments with front desk. The property is immersed in nature, which is nice, but the amenities are not well maintained and the customer service is absolute TRASH. Initially chalked it up to language barrier, but oh man their defensive attitude, lack of training, and clear indifference towards helping out guests is shocking especially for a 5-star resort costing much more than average hotels in Colombia.1. They told us when we arrived that our 2-bedroom bungalow that we booked 3 months ago was under construction. No prior communication of this.2. They messed up the room assignments and switched two girls’ rooms - did not properly check passport names against their hotel booking system to know who booked what. Many girls arrived at a room they did not book. Then they blamed us for it lol.3. The spa is under construction so it wasn’t fully opened. The resort had many parts (paths + building new bungalows) under construction. A few of us woke up to construction noises.4. There is NO YOGA instructor on site (for more than a year already!). They said people bring their own instructors onto the resort? Didn’t bother trying to help us with contacts or figuring out how to find an instructor.5. The 2nd mini island was closed off on Saturday we were there for a private event. They didn’t tell us at check in. We planned our day around it and they only told us when we arrived at the lobby that we couldn’t go that day.6. One night while we were on the clubhouse rooftop they turned off the elevators and just told us it was broken.7. Things would just stop working. Our room’s phone and internet turned off for two nights, we had to go to front desk to ask them to fix it since we couldn’t call them. Also hot water doesn’t always work.8. Beware of the bungalows more inland. They get no air, no breeze. The stairs for these have no lights so it’s hard to go up and down.9. Bicycle wheels are deflated. We were a group of 10 girls with 5 rooms and a few of us had bikes with deflated tires making it hard to ride them.10. Massages AVOID KENNY AND AMALIA. Across ~10 massages our group got, no one enjoyed massages from these two. They just rub you and missed the neck and important parts of the body.11. Golf carts take forever to arrive. The property is big so you can call the lobby requesting a golf cart to take you to places, but it takes on average 20 minutes to arrive…12. They messed up billing… a lot. We each spent a lot of time at front desk double checking what we were charged. Lots of charges were on our bill, like 8 different spa services. When we made the booking at the spa, we gave each person’s room numbers, as we did when we signed checks at the restaurants, so not sure what caused the mixups still.13. They kept confirming with us the transportation bookings, then when we check later the booking would not be in their system?? Happened multiple times.14. Food sucks except the breakfast buffet. Ceviche wasn’t very fresh nor tasty. The one only restaurant for dinner sucks but you don’t have any other options. Best you can get is the beef burger or the curried quinoa.15. Service is SLOW. Expect to wait a long time for food. Order even before you get hungry because you will be by the time the food comes out.The nice things:1. Breakfast buffet is delicious, fresh and a great view while on this terrace space above water2. They provide insect repellant3. Free kayaking and paddle boarding equipmentThis resort needs to close for 3 months, train all the staff, finish construction, update the pool and public areas a bit, and then start fresh.FYI car transportation one way was ~330k Colombian pesos for an economy car and ~605k pesos for a van fitting up to 6pax. For a boat transfer, it was about $65 USD per person one way.For $450+ a night, it’s sooooo not worth it. Hard pass.
Nataly G: Such an expensive and luxurious hotel should offer a perfect experience and unfortunately it leaves a lot to be desired in one very important aspect: the food. For the type of hotel and the price you are paying for the stay, the breakfast is quite limited. I have been in much cheaper hotels that offer much more variety, quality and abundance in their included breakfasts. There is no free buffet for breakfast at Hotel Las Islas and the variety is quite limited. Also the coffee is ugly.In restaurants the food is very expensive and quite mediocre. The price of the dishes is excessive and the food is very ordinary and the portions are tiny. The experience with the food is so bad that it puts in doubt if it is worth staying in this hotel.Otherwise the hotel is fine. The bungalows are beautiful and the service is very good. The beach is good and there are few people and the atmosphere in the whole hotel is always silent. However, the value for money of the food is so bad that I would not return.Rooms: Preciosas.
Luzelena Zea Medina: A must if you want to rest and have a lot of peace of mind. I loved this hotel.
Tammy Dustmeit: Nice hotel, nice room, nice food and great service. Just certain things need to be fixed, ex. Not constant electricity(wasn’t major only out for like 2 seconds) and at first is difficult to navigate throughout the resort. But still great!
Alexander Gallego: Spectacular!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Manuela Adrogue: The place is very cute. the beach is standard
Brenton Anthony: Firstly starting with the positives. The resort truly was beautiful, the fit outs of not only the rooms, but also the restaurants, bar etc was great. There is a small beach at the resort, but we preferred the beach in their private island (free boat transfers over and back from the resort). The food and drink prices were reasonable (beers COP 18k, cocktails between COP 45k-65k, mains between COP 80k-120k) and the food itself was really amazing…high restaurant quality. There are around 55 bungalows on site, but very well spaced out and very private, we could only see one other from our treehouse. The treehouse/room itself was also fantastic, great AC, huge bathrooms and a beautiful deck that overlooked the water. Also provided complimentary waterproof bag and sunglasses which was a nice touch.Unfortunately we found there were a few drawbacks, mainly around the service. There were multiple small issues that in isolation, are not a big deal, but just seemed very frequent and ended up quite frustrating. Some issues included:- minimal drinking water (were provided 2 x 300ml bottles at check-in but nothing thereafter). We asked twice for some water to be brought to our room, on the first occasion it took 4 hours, and 6 hours the next time (no joke).- Poor check-in experience, we weren’t provided any detail around food menus (only that they had them at the restaurants), eating times, mini bar, boat schedule etc…and was only on the second night we found out there was a QR code with all menus/guides/details etc.- bathroom supplies (body wash, shampoo etc) weren’t restocked once we ran out, same with towels and robe.- At meal times, inconsistency around service. Sometimes you would get coffee, eggs, napkins, cutlery etc sometimes not.- Wifi is poor throughout the resort, which is somewhat understandable given the location in BaruOverall, the resort is beautiful but for the price you pay, it is let down a little by the service. I think at a resort with a similar price point in Asia/Europe the service and little things would be far superior.
