Instead of following a line for who gets to go upstairs, they’ll let their friends(?) and couples first. If you’re with a bigger group, forget about it. Which is insane bc we would have brought the most money. And when you question they’re super rude! They tried telling me it was bc I had gotten there only 15min prior. Hm, no sir! I have eyes and saw all these ppl who just got here after us get upstairs before us. And again, being super rude and condescending. Anyway, I left and then had a blast at Invissa (super recommend instead of this overtly hyped place).

I've travelled to many countries and tried out hundreds of different bars. This one takes the cake. My favorite drink here is the "Rosarito." It is arguably the best cocktail i've had!The staff is super accommodating and the drinks are sublime.

Steven Heath: We had a great time at El Baron tonight. Angel was our waiter and was so outgoing and kind as he explained the menus and made suggestions on what we should order. He has a great background story of how he came to be in Cartagena from his hometown as well.We ordered a couple of tapas - Ceviche de la Casa and Croquetas de Res. We liked both but were especially enjoyed the Croquetas. The drinks were great as well. They have a wide selection of options.There is only a small inside section but a large outdoor seating area if there’s nothing available inside. The only benefit of inside is the air conditioning.

The group now is incredible, a very good band, the singer has a beautiful voice and full of energy, the musicians are very good. There are burlesque dances. The waitresses are always very friendly. Harsh S: MAJOR SCAM WARNINGI hate leaving bad reviews but I got here looking for for friends and some guys started hassling me outside. They said I was in their territory and couldn’t walk there. I went inside with my friends to avoid them for an hour and when I tried to leave, they had a sentry outside waiting for me to leave so they could surround me again and ask for money.The worst part? I asked the security guard and manager for help and to call the police (it was 11pm and still busy) and they just laughed and said they couldn’t do anything. This is a scam that I believe they’re all working on together - I wasn’t drunk or doing anything stupid, just going to a bar where my friends were at.Horrible, horrible bar and maybe the scariest experience I’ve had as an American even though I didn’t do anything wrong. Do not go here.

Chuck Taylor: They will over charge you. A beer here cost 12.000 pesos, I paid 20.00 for it in the afternoon and when I went back later that night, they charged me 40.000 for a beer. The staff is on the wrong side of honest, and you can find better barsjust outside.
