Isaiah Belliard: The spot is somewhat small but they make well use of it by having a nice ambiance. Drinks and food were so good, in my 5 day stay in Cartagena, we came to this spot twice for dinner. The New York steak I got medium well and it was so juicy, for a drink I had a frozen cherry lemonade and it was the perfect balance of sweet and sour. Definitely would stop by again!

Manav Khandelwal: Our favorite meal in Cartagena by far! The setting was beautiful with an outdoor courtyard and indoor air conditioned tables. The service was fast and generous; they brought us an extra small appetizer and an extra dessert that were both fantastic and on the house. For food, we loved everything we got: the ceviche, the Al pastor tacos, the burrata salad, the brisket, and the pork belly. Everything was just out of this world especially the pork belly. Portions are fairly even between entradas and mains.
J. Savage: Carmen is not safe place for people of color. I was shocked and saddened by my recent visit to Carmen of Cartagena . It was especially disappointing since we had a positive dining experience at theMedellin location. We knew weren’t welcome from the minute we entered the restaurant. The female hostess made it clear from the moment we walked in the door that we weren’t welcomed there. I was shocked and sadden because Carmen highly recommended. I was in awe because she was a women of color. America has it issues, but it is rare that i am disrespected by someone that looks like me. I want my racism the good ole fashion American way by folks that don’t look like me. I recommend that people of color patronize establishments where your money is welcomed. This is not Carmen of Cartagena. Kudos, to Mar y Zielo for getting it right. Also, kudos to the male host that tried his best to accommodate our party. I would return if I could deal with him. Again, avoid Carmen of Cartagena. Stick to the the one in Medellin.

Johanna Villegas: I visited during rainy season, so beware- it can be quite hot in the evenings. The restaurant provides bug spray but when making your reservation, their system does not specify that you may choose from an Air conditioned area or not. Keep this in mind and ensure you follow up with the restaurant to ensure you get the area you want.Overall, the service was fabulous. The food was good enough. I will not be back but I recommend you check it out at least once.

Alison Rooney: I had the opportunity to dine here during a recent trip to Cartagena. There is a lot of buzz for this spot. Reservations require a credit card be several follow up messages. I chose the 7 course tasting with wine. I sat outside on the patio. The service began with finesse and attention and sadly finished on the clumsy side. The courses are small and the pairings range from a local beer to a wine with peppermint. Some of the dishes were quite outstanding and the flavors were complex. Some like the chickpea dish fell flat for me. The server doing the wine pairing was rushed and never took time to discuss the wines. I enjoyed the experience and the chance to take part in a space that is unique and deeply rooted in the home city.
Hector Camero: We dined at 7 times. The experience was unique. The attention of Juan Carlos unsurpassed. Only in restaurants with Michelin stars have I eaten at this level. Do not stop coming if you are in Cartagena.
Michael C. Delapena: This restaurant was recommended by the manager of my hotel and it didn't disappoint. Located in Cartagena's historic district, it is super cute. They also had live music. I ordered a seafood dish, which came with shrimp, mussels and octopus. Delicious! My partner ordered a beef specialty, and she liked it plenty. We started with empanada appetizer, which I also recommend. They brought yuca bread on the house. Our server was very friendly and answered all our questions. I would return.

Patrick Cannon: Wow, what a great experience. Wife and I took the Ceviche class with Maria and had the best time. The recipes she shares are easy to follow, the facility is immaculately clean, and the final results tasted amazing. Kudos to her and her assistant, who was integral in her successful teaching of the class. This is a must-do, when in Cartagena. The sit-down and socialize over a glass of your preferred beverage is a really nice touch. Buen Provecho!

Jose C.: Came here for our last dinner in Colombia and we were not disappointed. The Jhonny Prawn Steak was one of the best things I ate on our trip. Very pepper-forward though so it might not be for everyone. The waiters were all very friendly and professional. Prices were reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area. USE THE SPANISH MENU THROUGH QR CODE. The prices are the same but there are a lot of items missing on the English menu.

Lourdes Celestrin: Me hubiera gustado escribir una buena calificación, pero la realidad es que teníamos expectativas mas altas tomando en cuenta el lugar y el costo. El sabor de la mayoría de los platos no nos impresionó, tampoco la calidad de los vinos. Además algo de lo que comí me cayó mal, estuve vomitando durante toda la madrugada y parte de la mañana siguiente. El servicio si estuvo excelente y el lugar es muy bonito.

Carolina Diaz Correa: I am going to summarize my review with the fact that if there were a Michelin guide in Colombia, this restaurant would surely have one.Chef, sous-chef and director are French but the menu uses absolutely everything local, a delight!!!!I tried 6 times but for the next time I would like the 10.How about the yellow butterflies of Macondo?
