Instead of following a line for who gets to go upstairs, they’ll let their friends(?) and couples first. If you’re with a bigger group, forget about it. Which is insane bc we would have brought the most money. And when you question they’re super rude! They tried telling me it was bc I had gotten there only 15min prior. Hm, no sir! I have eyes and saw all these ppl who just got here after us get upstairs before us. And again, being super rude and condescending. Anyway, I left and then had a blast at Invissa (super recommend instead of this overtly hyped place).

Lady Bello: The reason why I’m putting 5 stars is because the food is sooo delicious yum yum and where the restaurant is located the is amazing. The bad part is the communication in that restaurant. If you go on google maps search up the restaurant and try to call that restaurant the number bad it doesn’t go through. I tried sooo many times I had to go to another restaurant and ask for help. That restaurant needs to adjust the number as to why they haven’t is a mystery. Once I was able to successfully make the reservations a few hours later I called to make sure my reservations was ok and then I called again the second day just make sure, call me crazy I just like to make sure everything was okay. As soon as I got there they didn’t see my reservations 🤯!!! I had to get loud and rude to the put that they called in the manager and I told the manager this is a mess on how you handle the reservations. Yeah you can also do the reservations online but I believe in doing things myself and or in person. The manager let me in because I gave him all proof that I tried calling to make a reservation and everything. We sat the table that we picked. WE WAITED FOR AN HOUR for our server to come to us. Another serve saw us tried to help and she noticed that our actual serve never came up to us. She decided to help I was soo angry on how the manager miss manages his personal. The server who help us was soo sweet to us. I left her a tip and she said that there’s a new law in Colombia that because the restaurants are paying the servers well the customers aren’t allowed to tip us. I believe alll restaurantes should follow this example.

Eduardo Garcia: Well I was expecting more but, this place is just location. The location is really nice, it feels perfect, but the food and the drinks were ahh ok. The cocktails are strong really really strong maybe good for some people but they taste like shoots not like cocktails. We order an octopus the octopus was ok but the potetos were no cook. Also one of the cocktails taste like reallly bad we did not know if it was the piratas del caribe or de one from the house the server did not know which one was. Overall just one time experience.

kimberly a: We made a reservation and it was 10000% necessary…the line was SO long and started way before the restaurant opened up. People had to watch the sunset from a line. Views were beautiful! We got a table right be the edge. The food and drinks weren’t that good so I would suggest getting food beforehand or afterwards. Service was extremely slow. As expected it was extremely hot, so we brought sweat rags and a mini fan. That helped a tiny bit. I’m happy we went so that we can say we went but I definitely would not go again.

erika samaniego: The rooms are beautiful. The pool looks so much bigger in the photos, in reality it was small and one family with kids can take all the space of it. However they have a lot of space to sit and sip some drinks at the rooftop. The staff was kind and helpful. We arrived very early and left late in the afternoon and were allowed to remain in the public areas of the hotel and they held our bags while we explored some more of the city.Rooms: Big and cozy, nice view from balcony and great showers.Nearby activities: So many good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Getsemani is about 15-20 mins away walking.

C Woods: Stayed here for 7 days. Rooms are big and comfy. Tile floors so bring your slippers. Bathrooms are nice size. Showers are great. They have nice products in the bathroom. They offer a nicebuffet breakfast in the restaurant but you can also get made to order breakfast. Lobby is nice to kick it and chill but depending on when you go, you might become a buffet for mosquitoes. There is a room next to the outdoor lobby area and it's comfy and a great place to hang out. The rooftop pool is amazing and the views from up there are phenomenal. Pool area is the perfect place to hang out and drink. Internet connection could be spotty at times but wasn't too bad. Front desk was very attentive to any of our needs. Staff was extremely accommodating. Nice hotel to stay at inside the Walled City.

ANJLI SHAH: My husband and I stayed at Bastion for 4 nights. It is definitely not a “luxury” hotel for following reasons- as soon as we were allocated a room we realised the air conditioning unit was not working. The workmen did come and sort this out.We then realised our sink was getting clogged up and the water was not draining. This caused a sewage smell in the bathroom. We did let the manager know about this and he assured us it would be dealt with whilst we were sight seeing. Nothing seemed to be sorted. After 2 nights of sleeping in this room and finally making a fuss at reception they did change our room as they said the sink problem could not be sorted. However the second room we were allocated had a broken toilet roll holder, broken tiles on the bathroom floor, the shower wasn't draining quick enough hence was overflowing, the room telephone wasn't working. We did complain to the manager but he didn't seem to be too bothered. The room was definitely not fit to be allocated to a guest.- Breakfast was mediocre for a 'luxury' hotel! There were insects (fruit flies) all over the fresh fruit and the staff didn't seem to be bothered by it.The hotel is in a good location, slightly away from all the hustle and bustle but yet close enough. However I would recommend other hotels in the vicinity which are probably cheaper but have better service and rooms.

El señor de la entrada nos dijo a las 8pm que no había cover si entrabamos antes de las 10pm así que nos apuramos y regresamos a las 9:40pm y si nos cobraron 20mil pesos por persona (le pedimos 20mil por los dos ya que nos habia mentido y si lo acepto) 3.. Dijo que la orquesta empezaba a las 10pm (por eso cobraban cover) y no empezó hasta las casi 12pm. La orquesta dejo de tocar a las 12:33am y regresaron a la 1:10am. 4.. Ese señor igual nos dijo que si se llena el lugar y que se pone bueno pero nooooo (el internet también lo recomienda pero no me toco). No se llena y la poca gente sólo llega a ver, no a bailar.Fuimos rapido a ver el barsito Donde Fidel y habia mucho más ambiente, no hay cover y las bebidas más baratas, lo malo que cierran a la 1:30am.Recomiendo ir a Donde Fidel u otro lugar primero a ver que tal esta. Si tienes tiempo y plata llega a Quiebra Canta ya que el DJ toca buena salsa y la orquesta también buenísima (por eso dejo una estrella) pero no hay gente con quien bailar. Yo tuve la suerte de llevar pareja-Gonzalo y baile mucho pero si nooooo, no lo recomiendo. Hay más gente en Donde Fidel.La foto que tomé fue a las 12:55am un VIERNES. Y después tomé otra foto a la 1:37am cuando acabó la orquesta y cerro el lugar...básicamente sin gente...Very quickly.. the guy in the front told us no cover before 10pm so we got there 9: 44 and he did charge us cover (20mil pesos per person). He said the band started at 10 which is why the cover, but they didn't play until 12am and played 33 minutes, then came back at 1:15am. I recommend Donde Fidel where there's no charge and the drinks are cheaper and there is more people dancing! Go there first because they close at 1:30am on friday then come back to Quiebra Canto. Their orquesta and dj plays good music but no people to dance with, they mostly go watch. They close at 1:30ish.

We liked both but were especially enjoyed the Croquetas. The drinks were great as well. They have a wide selection of options.There is only a small inside section but a large outdoor seating area if there’s nothing available inside. The only benefit of inside is the air conditioning.
