The host/owner (Lyda) is kind and a very good guide around the city, making sure that we enjoyed every day by guiding us to the beautiful restaurants of the town. The house is a large and beautiful colonial house with a number of beautifully decorated rooms. Each room has several amenities including a TV, etc and are large and spacious. In addition to the lovely neighborhood, the house is cool (well-conditioned in the perfect way), has many plants, and had many windows making it a bright home. We enjoyed every minute that we were there, the house put a smile on our faces, the beautiful staircases, floors, and amenities were only part of the amazing things of this place, not to mention the beautiful neighborhood. The neighborhood that Casa Lyda located in is lively and shares amazing Columbian culture, and beautiful street art. Certain streets have a ceiling in umbrellas, flags, and other wonders that bring the community together. The house was truly beautiful, and the surrounding houses/store are all colorful and gorgeously painted. The house felt homey and comfortable, and we enjoyed great conversation with Lyda. On the rooftop, you will be surprised to see a wonderful pool/jacuzzi with a nice outdoor table. The pool/jacuzzi is well taken care of and on the rooftop, we were able to see beautiful views. The pool/jacuzzi is good for swimming and is a comfortable area for relaxation.

Joshua Rutowski: I stayed at Casa Lyda for 2 months in early 2021. From an amenities perspective, Casa Lyda is absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail was astonishing, from the amenities in the room to the decorations throughout the house. The host, Lyda, is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable people I met while in Cartagena. She consistently checked in with how I was doing, or if there was anything I needed. She was also a great local resource for tips on restaurants, and local excursions. I would highly recommend Casa Lyda to anyone looking to visit Cartagena while staying in a super vibrant area (Getsemani).

The house is characterized by its good taste and charming atmosphere. In Casa Lyda you will be able to enjoy a peaceful time at the house while also be in the midst of lively Getsemani, an awesome neighborhood that offers an incredible cultural experience for the family, including some of the best street art in Colombia. The location of the house cannot be better, located 5 minutes from the Old Town and walking distance from the best restaurants, coffee shops and must go places in Getsemani. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen is small but with all tools and amenities, I even hosted a gourmet dinner led by a women chef who prepared a delicious local dinner. In Casa Lyda you will be agreeably surprised by the amazing Jacuzzi on the rooftop with an incredible 360 view of the Old Town, Manga and the fortress; the best time at the jacuzzi is during sunset. Lyda is an incredible host who offers you tips for trips to the islands, restaurants, shopping, and anything you might need. I’ll definitely return with my family to spend an unforgettable vacation in Casa Lyda which is a unique house in Getsemani, where you will feel at home.

Ali G: Nice building, stayed on the penultimate floor with breathtaking sea views and nice view towards the city from a very generously sized balcony. 1 BR apartment could be very nice, but it needs updating, fresh coat of paint and much TLC. It's such a prime location, relatively new building, quite a shame they let the apartment rot away slowly. Paid roughly $100/night.

Là s'arrête les satisfactions.L'appartement où nous logions présentait une certaine vétusté et n'était pas conforme aux photos publiées sur Air BnB. Un appartement mal nettoyé, limite sale. Des meubles branlants ou cassés, une vaisselle très réduite (6 verres pour un appartement de 8), peu de couverts. Pas de papier toilettes, pas d'éponge dans l'évier, pas de torchon, pas de machine à café. Des douches froides toute la semaine pour 2 d'entre elles (sur 3). Et enfin pas de service de bagagerie proposé à l'accueil et surtout aucune proposition de solution par l'hôtesse. Nous avons dû attendre patiemment dans le hall avec toutes nos valises, notre vol de retour étant en fin de journée. Ah, j'oubliais, une seule clé ne nous a été fourni pour notre séjour pour un appartement de 8 personnes en nous précisant qu'on avait qu'à s'appeler par téléphone en cas de problème !Nous avons payé 870 euros la semaine. Le rapport qualité-prix est presque défavorable.Clairement, il y a mieux ailleurs.

A Warner: Stayed here for a week in November 2021. Great location with nice view of the ocean, close to money exchange, markets and restaurants. However, I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it. Security was bothersome over the top. A lot of families stay here so it was very quiet at night. Watch your belongings! We had our towels and flip flops stolen from the pool area and the front desk was not helpful even though we knew the other people that were in the pool area since you have to enter with your room number. Our room was okay. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable, lights did not work in two of the rooms and bathroom/kitchen was dated. There are just so many other options to stay in the area.

The night here costs 250,000 and it is a two-bedroom apartment with a dining room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a balcony with full views of the sea. The pool is infinity. I would not hesitate to go there again. It was incredible.

Gabrielle Marie: While I did not stay at Townhouse, my husband and I enjoyed their rooftop bar one evening when we were in Cartagena. This was one of our favorite places for cocktails and nachos! Everything is very well priced, the atmosphere is super trendy, and the nachos are probably some of the best I have ever had. The rooftop over looks the city, so do yourself a favor by ordering a drink and some apps while watching the sunset. It is absolutely breathtaking.

Farrah Powell: We spent a day here and took advantage of the day passes that the property offers. They have a ferry that picks up in the mornings, which is convenient. We were welcomed by the staff and taken to our pool lounger. The hotel offers many add-on options for the day passes. We didn't opt for the all-inclusive package. But enjoyed a delicious meal at lunch. The pork sandwich with sour dough was amazing, as well as the ceviche. The cooks here must be applauded. We also had a massage and can report that it was the best 25$ we have ever spent period. The masseuse was amazing. The dj was a nice touch, and the music was a good mix of genres. We had such a good time, and we are hoping to come back for a weekend getaway soon. A day here just isn't enough.

The beach is clean and great to swim and with great views of the sunset. My one feedback would be that there seems to be a lot of promise of activities happening at night for guests on the website but we didn;t get any of this. It was extremely quiet and dead in the evenings. Despite this, I would 100% return in a heartbeat.Also really love their focus on sustainability and you could tell this isn't just a marketing ploy. They have a glass bottle recycling facility in the back, a garden where they grow herbs and vegtables that are used in the kitchen.Tip: book directly through their website and not through third party providers to ensure you get free breakfast included and the boat trip back to Cartagena included.

Al Stankus: Spent three glorious nights at Blue Apple and couldn't have been happier (well the all night Rave at a nearby resort put some unwanted deep bass into the night)The room was huge, the bed and linens top-notch and hot water plentiful.Every member of the staff went out of their way to take care of you...a special nod to Luz and Jorge. And Jessie at the front is amazing.Every meal was truly delicious with highlights being the sea bass carpaccio, fish crudo and seafood paella. The bar makes terrific nights and the wine list is really good.We spent three nights and to spend any less would be a mistake. You really do settle into an island pattern. And book a massage near the beach.

Emma Backup.: We really enjoyed our time at Blue Apple and ended up coming back for a second day. It's a good vibe and the staff are friendly and quick with service. The only negative was that we booked a bed on our second visit they said there was none available when we arrived so we had to sit on regular loungers. But that was deducted from our bill so not the end of the world. We went to a few beach clubs in Cartagena and this was probably my favourite one!
