Jeanine Lucarelli: I unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with This is Cartagena. I had booked a trip to Blue Apple Beach through this company for a Sunday, i got an email confirming that i was all set and ready to go for me and 3 other people. I then received an email the next day saying unfortunately there is no availability for Sunday (after i already got a confirmation) and was asked if i would like to go Monday, and without an argument i said no problem. I received a confirmation to meet at their office at 10:30AM, and that's exactly what i did. The office was closed (due to a holiday that i would have no idea about because i was just vacationing and it was never mentioned when they had me move my reservation to this day) So we called and called and then i emailed and finally got a hold of someone and they said they were having someone come pick us up, and would refund me for the at least the transportation. At this point my friends and i have already got in a taxi to get on a boat to make sure we can enjoy the day at the island we had all paid for already, not only did we have to pay for a taxi, we had to pay a decent amount of money to get us to an island by a different boat. Not only did they refuse to refund me for what was their mistake after they said they would, they ignored my last email asking them to reconsider that decision. So for anyone visiting Colombia, i don't recommend going through this company, Blue Apple Beach was great once we were there so i would just find another way to get there so you don't have to pay double like we did.
Brad Worthington: I did two tours with them. They were very helpful on both occasions. The Rosario islands was nice but pretty basic. The Tierra Bomba bike tour was great. It was fun and informative. The tour guides, Valerie and Cindy, were very helpful and went over the top to help.

s heydt: One of the best best vacations we've ever taken! Rainbow Nelson and his talented team looked after every detail of our nine days in and around Cartagena. We traveled with our three children and my parents--there was something fun for everyone. This Is Cartagena planned wonderfully creative adventures for us each day, like a treasure hunt for the kids, salsa dancing lessons, chocolate making, floating in a mud volcano, tours through the market and a gondola ride through the mangroves. They arranged for daily Spanish lessons (Gustavo was fantastic with the kids!) and private tours with dynamic, talented guides (Ronaldo and Alex!). We chose Colombia because we hoped to expose our children to other cultures and ways of life. I'll admit I was a little nervous to travel there, but we felt safe at every moment--and I appreciated the efforts they made to Introduce us to aspects of real life in Cartagena, beyond the typical tourist experiences. It left a lasting impact upon us all!The accommodations were great. We loved the Casa Hobo and the amazing staff! Excellent food at every meal--we dined in several times and were treated to traditional Colombian cuisine. The week also included several meals out on the town arranged by This is Cartagena. They planned for a range of dining experiences that were occasionally adventous, but always delicious! Our three days at a private beach retreat were heavenly! The place came equipt with a beautiful pool overlooking the Caribbean, food served up under the palm trees, and daily excursions on speedboats to explore the nearby islands. It was paradise! What luck we had finding Rainbow and his team. We were so well looked after--leaving it all to come home was the hardest part!

Katie Fisken: Cartagena Connections is such a fantastic way to see the city and experience the local culture. Kristy is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the local community and that shines through on her tours! I attended the street food tour and I cannot recommend it enough! If you're wanting to dabble in street food and learn the local ways then this is the tour for you! More broadly Cartagena Connections is the one stop shop for info on all of the best spots in town!
Kristi Vanskiver (Whisky Wanderlust): Kristy was an amazing guide and extremely helpful when trying to accomodate our vegan friend on the street food tour. There is really limited options for a vegan but she really made us all feel welcome and included. She is a wealth of knowledge on history and culture of Cartagena and makes the information fun and engaging. I really couldn't recommend the tour more. It's way more than just a food tour!

We were introduced to the local favorite stalls and spots that we never would have found on our own. Delicious tour, and we got to take some great photos of the colorful neighborhoods. Highly recommend the tour and this agency!

Planning our tours was hassle free and communication through WhatsApp was quick.Daniel showed us around the Bazurto Market, he shared history while showing us the market, sampling local fruit, snacks, and some hidden gems. We finished with lunch, which was some of the most delicious food we had during our trip to Colombia.We also booked a private boat tour of the Rosario Islands, where Ana helped coordinate our day and itinerary. She made everything so easy and since our group speaks very limited Spanish, she was well appreciated through out the day.Everything worked out so well, the guides were excellent, these two tours exceeded our expectations and were the most fun activities during our trip to Colombia!

He will take you to try 2 types of arepas, empenadas, deditos and much more, beer included! The response I got via email was about the tour including beach time, lunch etc. I replied saying that I was not interested in the tour. They said fine they would look if the transport was available. Never got back to me. Update your website if not offering the service and don't waste people's time.
Elizabeth Grewe: Had the best experiences with Cartagena Connections! They set us up with a coffee tasting at Cafe Del Mural that completely changed how we thought about coffee. Unforgettable, delicious, very educational. Then we did a market tour with Dan, he was so friendly and knew the maze of the alleys and stalls well. Definitely go with a guide. Dan had great vibes and helped us buy produce. He made sure we got to try local juice and fruit and surprised us with a souvenir at the end, a customized poster from a local artist. Communication with March at CC before, during and after the experiences was friendly, responsive and helpful. Recommend working with them for all sightseeing and touristic needs!

I sent multiple emails confirming the experience I wanted, asked if it was still available and never heard back from anyone. Do not waste your time with this company. There are better ones in Cartagena.

I did not count but we had like ten snacks, fruits and drinks. But warning: You need to be into fried stuff and cheese but when you are you will love this experience.

adam jones: Quite possibly the best trip I have ever been on! Chris and his team provided top notch, 1st class service for a 15 person bachelor party that I planned for my best man in Cartagnea. Their attention to detail, communication, safety and just overall vibe throughout our 4 day trip was exceptional. The house and staff was perfect for our group. we stayed in a 15 bed room villa that had large common rooms for gatherings, dinners and breakfast. Everyone had a clean, air conditioned room with an in suite bathroom. Chris coordinated all of our dinner reservations and night club experiences. On our last day before traveling we did a boat day which was one of the many highlights of the trips. The house, the boat, Chris and his staff made this bachelor party an unforgettable experience and created a lifetime of memories for me and my group. I highly recommend using Prime Cartagena for any group trips and bachelor parties.

DFA Club: We celebrated a bachelorette party in Cartagena with seven close girlfriends in mid-February. As the host and trip organizer, it was a big responsibility to not only exceed everyone’s travel expectations, including the bride most importantly, but also to keep everyone safe while we had fun. Our entire group is well-traveled, enjoys five-star experiences, and minds the fine details.Finding Prime Cartagena was an absolute Godsend and game changer. I simply let Chris know what we had in mind, our tastes, preferences then from there he handled EVERYTHING. Chris set up our transportation to and from the airport, all reservations, tours, beauty/health services, restaurants, bars, shows, boat rental, grocery shopping, setting up & shopping for receptions at our hotel, you name it. Chris and his team did it all and did it very well. Even things we didn’t ask for, they thought through for us and made sure our trip was comfortable from start to finish.I mentioned safety was a concern, especially for some of our high-profile guests. Prime Cartagena provided personal protection services and a bi-lingual concierge for our entire stay. Sammy was our bodyguard and Jamie was our concierge. Let me just say WOW!!! We never left the hotel without Sammy & Jamie by our side and leading the way day and night. Sammy & Jamie both got along so well with our group making it feel like we had known them for years.Sammy is basically the mayor of Cartagena – everywhere you go people know him, respect him, tip their hats to him. Any place we wanted to go, he knew how to get us in right away without standing in line or getting harassed or haggled by anyone. Even nights out, or when we were dancing our hearts out, we never once got disturbed by a single person. Mind you this was a group of seven beautiful women, wearing hot AF outfits and getting DOWN on the dancefloor. Not once did anyone come up to try to hit on us or get involved in our action. This is because Sammy & Jamie were there to run interference and keep us safe. It felt soooo nice to just enjoy our girl time and let our hair down without a care in the world.We can’t wait to come back to Cartagena with our husbands and families…next time for a longer stay! We will definitely use Prime Cartagena services again - turnkey for everything. The highlights of our trip were boat tour to Rosario Islands, Seven 7 Times burlesque show, Cande Restaurante, Casa Lola and hanging out at various rooftop bars in the Walled City. Matthew Gibbons: I was endowed by one of my best friends with the responsibility of being his best man. With Chris’s help, I planned a 4 night, 5 day bachelor party trip for 10 guys that will never be forgotten. Everything was just as advertised by Prime Cartagena. Chris booked the perfect house for us and was available and responsive around the clock leading up the trip answering any question I had and helping me plan all aspects of the trip. When we got there, Chris was waiting for us at the airport with a Sprinter which took us to our fully stocked house. The trip included breakfast prepared by a chef everyday and yacht for an amazing boat day bouncing to the islands. Chris booked us dinners at all of the restaurants we wanted to eat at (some recommended by Chris, others that we found on our own), made sure we got everywhere we wanted or needed to be and made sure that we had anything and everything we wanted. I’m getting married next year and will be using Chris again.
