It is a city that combines old architecture with modern buildings, it has beautiful landscapes and there are fun places to visit with many tourist attractions.They offer attractions that can be visited on tourist buses and other vehicles that we know as Chivas, some also designed as trams, pirate ships, boats, yachts, ships and even a cruise port.

Good choice of beaches ( liked Blue Apple Beach followed by Fenix), interesting cooking course and delicious Ceviche Tour. Jeanine Lucarelli: I unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with This is Cartagena. I had booked a trip to Blue Apple Beach through this company for a Sunday, i got an email confirming that i was all set and ready to go for me and 3 other people. I then received an email the next day saying unfortunately there is no availability for Sunday (after i already got a confirmation) and was asked if i would like to go Monday, and without an argument i said no problem. I received a confirmation to meet at their office at 10:30AM, and that's exactly what i did. The office was closed (due to a holiday that i would have no idea about because i was just vacationing and it was never mentioned when they had me move my reservation to this day) So we called and called and then i emailed and finally got a hold of someone and they said they were having someone come pick us up, and would refund me for the at least the transportation. At this point my friends and i have already got in a taxi to get on a boat to make sure we can enjoy the day at the island we had all paid for already, not only did we have to pay for a taxi, we had to pay a decent amount of money to get us to an island by a different boat. Not only did they refuse to refund me for what was their mistake after they said they would, they ignored my last email asking them to reconsider that decision. So for anyone visiting Colombia, i don't recommend going through this company, Blue Apple Beach was great once we were there so i would just find another way to get there so you don't have to pay double like we did.
Brad Worthington: I did two tours with them. They were very helpful on both occasions. The Rosario islands was nice but pretty basic. The Tierra Bomba bike tour was great. It was fun and informative. The tour guides, Valerie and Cindy, were very helpful and went over the top to help.

s heydt: One of the best best vacations we've ever taken! Rainbow Nelson and his talented team looked after every detail of our nine days in and around Cartagena. We traveled with our three children and my parents--there was something fun for everyone. This Is Cartagena planned wonderfully creative adventures for us each day, like a treasure hunt for the kids, salsa dancing lessons, chocolate making, floating in a mud volcano, tours through the market and a gondola ride through the mangroves. They arranged for daily Spanish lessons (Gustavo was fantastic with the kids!) and private tours with dynamic, talented guides (Ronaldo and Alex!). We chose Colombia because we hoped to expose our children to other cultures and ways of life. I'll admit I was a little nervous to travel there, but we felt safe at every moment--and I appreciated the efforts they made to Introduce us to aspects of real life in Cartagena, beyond the typical tourist experiences. It left a lasting impact upon us all!The accommodations were great. We loved the Casa Hobo and the amazing staff! Excellent food at every meal--we dined in several times and were treated to traditional Colombian cuisine. The week also included several meals out on the town arranged by This is Cartagena. They planned for a range of dining experiences that were occasionally adventous, but always delicious! Our three days at a private beach retreat were heavenly! The place came equipt with a beautiful pool overlooking the Caribbean, food served up under the palm trees, and daily excursions on speedboats to explore the nearby islands. It was paradise! What luck we had finding Rainbow and his team. We were so well looked after--leaving it all to come home was the hardest part!

Katie Fisken: Cartagena Connections is such a fantastic way to see the city and experience the local culture. Kristy is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the local community and that shines through on her tours! I attended the street food tour and I cannot recommend it enough! If you're wanting to dabble in street food and learn the local ways then this is the tour for you! More broadly Cartagena Connections is the one stop shop for info on all of the best spots in town!
Kristi Vanskiver (Whisky Wanderlust): Kristy was an amazing guide and extremely helpful when trying to accomodate our vegan friend on the street food tour. There is really limited options for a vegan but she really made us all feel welcome and included. She is a wealth of knowledge on history and culture of Cartagena and makes the information fun and engaging. I really couldn't recommend the tour more. It's way more than just a food tour!

Planning our tours was hassle free and communication through WhatsApp was quick.Daniel showed us around the Bazurto Market, he shared history while showing us the market, sampling local fruit, snacks, and some hidden gems. We finished with lunch, which was some of the most delicious food we had during our trip to Colombia.We also booked a private boat tour of the Rosario Islands, where Ana helped coordinate our day and itinerary. She made everything so easy and since our group speaks very limited Spanish, she was well appreciated through out the day.Everything worked out so well, the guides were excellent, these two tours exceeded our expectations and were the most fun activities during our trip to Colombia!

He will take you to try 2 types of arepas, empenadas, deditos and much more, beer included! Elizabeth Grewe: Had the best experiences with Cartagena Connections! They set us up with a coffee tasting at Cafe Del Mural that completely changed how we thought about coffee. Unforgettable, delicious, very educational. Then we did a market tour with Dan, he was so friendly and knew the maze of the alleys and stalls well. Definitely go with a guide. Dan had great vibes and helped us buy produce. He made sure we got to try local juice and fruit and surprised us with a souvenir at the end, a customized poster from a local artist. Communication with March at CC before, during and after the experiences was friendly, responsive and helpful. Recommend working with them for all sightseeing and touristic needs!

I sent multiple emails confirming the experience I wanted, asked if it was still available and never heard back from anyone. Do not waste your time with this company. There are better ones in Cartagena.

Michael Müller: We had the steet food tour with Kristy and we were absolutely amazed by it.Kristy, living since years in Cartagena, does not only know all the best places to get street food, she also knows a ton of stories about the city itself, the different cultures, the current situation and how the people make their living, about murals, and and and...So this tour is not really about "the city was found in xy bla bla" but about the little details and also about how things and city spots are connected to the history and the people.The food itself was delicious and more than plenty. I did not count but we had like ten snacks, fruits and drinks. But warning: You need to be into fried stuff and cheese but when you are you will love this experience.

Nonetheless, I can say it was definitely worth the trip and one of the best decisions I have made.Dr. Oliver is kind and does amazing work! The extensive amount of actual dental work I needed was handled well. I would recommend Dr. Oliver without hesitation for anyone seeking dental work in Colombia.Additionally, Carlos who was my driver most of the time was top notch he spoke fluent English, gave us information about Cartagena and checked on me often. The other drivers were also kind as well. I actually felt like they cared about my well being.Great job!!

Not only is your dental experience great but from pick up at the airport to drop off you are taken care of. My favorite part is they always ask me to text them when my flight lands safely. Eye Of Heru: “One of the best decisions of my life”.Let me start of by saying I have been scared of the dentist my whole life, so I did intensive research with a feeling of fear, once I got ahold of dental tourism of Colombia and Dr Julio Oliver the feeling of fear suddenly went away. From the dental coordinator Ms.Claudia to the dental assist Ms. Angie everything went beyond excellent. All my questions were answered in a timely fashion before I even decided to choose them so that speaks volumes to what a great dentistry this is. Once I booked my flight everything went as smooth as possible. The driver Carlos, who picked me up from the airport when I arrived was awesome. Safety wasn’t an issue, as I felt as safe as could be. I was not expecting everything to go as smooth as it did, especially going into another country for dental work. I’m gonna just say this it greatly exceeded my expectations. Just the price alone made it all worthwhile then u add that on with the hospitality of the people, the beautiful country that I never been to, was just a bonus like getting a 2 for 1. Dr Julio Oliver I can’t even begin to say enough about this guy, if u could give a a person 10 stars this guy deserves it. Let’s just say I needed major dental work. After having gold teeth for about 16 years I didn’t know what to expect. Man once I was in his presence I knew I was gonna be well taking care of. Not only did it not hurt that much, but the attention to detail, the precision and patience was on point from the Doctor Julio Oliver. In the US I would have paid at least 4 times more then what I paid here in Colombia the quality was if not better then the US so that alone was just a win win situation. Unlike some other Dentist on social media Dr Julio Oliver did not and doesn’t have to sell the fluff, his reviews on google speak for itself. I recommend anyone that has to have a lot of dental work done consider dental tourism of Colombia and Dr Julio Oliver, him and his team are A+.
