Kyle McLaughlin: Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Taste beers before you try them, they even had an IPA made from coca leaves! Sushi menu was limited at the time, may have been the time of night, though. Clean bathrooms as well.

Joshua Williams: I highly recommend take this class if you are looking for things to do in Cartagena! We stayed in the city for 4 days and this was my favorite part of the trip. You get the opportunity to learn about dishes from Colombia and where their influences come from. Jasmine is knowledgeable and shares that knowledge with you. The class is also a great opportunity to get to meet, cook with, and have a meal with new people who are also enjoying the city.

Brittany Mitro: Doing a the market tour + cooking class with Maria was our #1 favorite thing we did while in Cartagena. The market tour was such a unique experience - we wouldn't have ever done it by ourselves (chaotic wouldn't begin to describe the markets) but getting to meet the vendors and try so many fruits we hadn't ever heard of beforehand was a fabulous experience. (Also, if you are nervous about going to a busy market like this, I wasn't nervous at all with Maria - it was clear she knew what she was doing and where to go for the friendliest vendors. Everyone was just busy going about their business, and it was actually surprisingly clean and fresh smelling too, except for the fish & meat area of course)Then the cooking class itself was such a great experience. We love going to cooking classes and do it in a lot of places we travel to, but this one was unique in that we were all (about 8 of us plus Maria) cooking one big meal together. This meant that we got to learn how to make a ton of different things and each contribute as we went. The food in the end was delicious (mote de queso, ceviche, and the posta negra cartagenera) - the best meal we had in Cartagena - and the venue was really cute and fun.We recommend this as an experience for everyone traveling to Cartagena! Would do it again in a heartbeat - thanks so much Maria!

Upon arrival the have everything laid out for you and makes you feel like your in your own home about to cook a wonderful dinner. Chef Maria Delgado's passion for food and her ability to teach complex techniques in an accessible manner made the experience both enjoyable and enlightening. The studio itself was immaculate and well-equipped, creating the perfect environment for learning. Chef Maria went above and beyond by allowing me to use her space for a conference call after the class, showcasing her incredible hospitality. If you're a food lover looking to elevate your cooking skills, Lunático Cooking Studio is the place to be. I eagerly anticipate returning to try more of Chef Maria's delicious dishes – especially that heavenly coconut rice!

Cees Crumb: I spent three weeks here, (one of them I stayed with a family) and have really enjoyed myself. Teachers and facilities that you would expect from a German accredited school. Staying with a family just added another dimension to the experience. They match you with a family that suits.The lessons were well structured and I enjoyed learning with my 3 other classmates. Der Unterricht ist sehr gut und auf individuelle Bedürfnisse abgestimmt, abwechslungsreich, lustig und mit großartigen Lehrern. Getsemaní und das historisches Zentrum können bequem zu Fuß erobert werden. Die Schule hat mir ermöglicht, innerhalb von 7 Tagen sehr viel zu lernen und viele sehr unterschiedliche Dinge erleben zu können. Darüber hinaus war die Gastfreundschaft meiner Gastfamilie überwältigend. Die dringen notwendige Versorgung von Grundschülern mit einfachstem Unterrichtsmaterial in einem Armenviertel im Rahmen eines Sozialprojektes und deren Verteilung vor Ort bei Señora Lorenza hat mich nachhaltig beeindruckt und mir einmal wieder vor Augen geführt, wie wichtig und unabdingbar es ist, mit einfachen und geringen Mitteln direkte Hilfe vor Ort zu leisten.

steve: This is a very good spanish school.I spent a month there and had a wonderful time. The school is well organized. The staff is nice, the teachers are professionals, the activites very cool and always on time. I also had private dance lessons with Francis (una chica 😉 very kind).Something very nice is the air conditioning in the school because it can get really hot depending the time of the year.I decided to stay with a host family chosen by the school and it was clean and confortable and they were very nice.The localisation is perfect. 10 minutes walk and you're in the neighborhood of Getsemani with its magical atmosphere with bars and restaurants.So if you want to improve your spanish and live a cultural experience meeting other students from different countries, I recommend this school without hesitation.Steve, 52 from Canada.
Lucy Golding: I would highly recommend Ecos as your choice of school. The teachers are excellent and they take the time to make sure you fully understand what is being taught. There are free activities 3 times a week where you can learn more Spanish, find out about the local culture, and interact with other students. At the end of each week you have an interactive session with the other students, in which you play games to improve your vocabulary. If I ever come back to Cartagena I would definitely return to Ecos.

Christoph Körner: Die Sprachschule befindet sich im Zentrum von Cartagena. Nah an der Altstadt und neben Getsemani. Die Lehrer sind alle sehr motiviert und man lernt in kurzer Zeit sehr schnell. Vorab gibt es einen Test, um das eigene Level festzustellen. Vormittags sind dann gemeinsame Stunden mit bis zu 4 anderen Schülern. Am Nachmittag wenn gewünscht dann Einzelunterricht. Super saubere Räumlichkeiten, tolle Aktivitäten 3x wöchentlich am Nachmittag und super Mitarbeiter. Klare Empfehlung an alle, die spanisch lernen wollen.
Ayako Dumont: Je suis actuellement en voyage de 6 mois en Amérique du sud et je souhaitais prendre une semaine de cours d'espagnol pour avoir quelques bases car je n'ai jamais appris auparavant. ECOS m'a donné quelques bases pour pouvoir ensuite apprendre plus sur le terrain.Les professeurs et les cours étaient top. Cependant je recommande ce programme plus pour ceux qui veulent apprendre l'espagnol avec un bonne base grammaticale et pas forcément pour être opérationnel rapidement.Merci à vous pour cette super semaine. Ju: Tolle Sprachschule! Es ist eine kleine und sehr familiäre Schule mit guten und motivierten Lehrern. Zu Beginn wird ein Einstufungstest gemacht und dann werde entsprechende Gruppen gebildet. Besonders gut haben mir die kulturellen Aktivitäten wie Bachata Kurs und Kochstunde gefallen. Freitags gab es für alle Schüler eine gemeinsame Stunde, die viel Spaß gemacht hat. Für deutsche Arbeitnehmer vielleicht noch interessant: die Schule wird für Bildungsurlaub anerkannt. Ich kann sie sehr empfehlen und komme bestimmt wieder!!

F RS: El camino para llegar mal señalizado es una vía estrecha insegura en mal estado cuando llegas una garita de vigilancia muy cutre te para para pedir reserva pero no es capaz de decir dónde se puede realizar te quiere hacer volver pero la vía muy estrecha difícil de hacer el cambio de sentido por otro lado el campo de golf está abandonado dicen que en mantenimiento pero sinceramente no cumple los estandares mínimos

Alexander Salas Villarreal: It seems like a very beautiful place, a lot of prestige, however I see shortcomings on the part of the management, there is an issue with the water when it rains that basically floods the entire floor of the restaurant area, we had to move 3 times because of so much water, a detail so easy to solve is chaos and from what a member tells me, this has been happening for years, another thing is that we brought some foreign clients and they didn't have an espresso or cappuccino, just red coffee and nothing else, I think The secret to a good experience is in the details, it is an excellent place and it would be a pity if it deteriorated due to negligence. The price is Right for the service, food, cleanliness and facilities! The all-inclusive is premium and does not compare with other chains that operate in the country! Zero additional charges! Samir Patel: The golf course is always well kept and maintained with a good layout and in a good location.We played the course on May 19th at 10am. Nobody was on the golf course except two of us playing. Few holes were being aerated so few maintenance crew, somehow on back 9 in matter of 7 holes being played by us Two cellphones got stolen. Not a good experience. Apparently they have so called security watch guards sprinkled all over the course and hardly no one playing the course this time of the year due to regularly raining and annual aerification. Talked to the manager and he said it has never happened here before. Yet 2 phones disappears from the golf cart. Few hours later both phones were deactivated from cell signal by removing the chip. For a golf course to reach one has to go through Two security gates and has security on bikes and look out post on the course to have such thing happened left a little bitter taste mouth. So next you play there be extra careful and secure your belongings.
