Casa Canabal Hotel Boutique: what do users think?
Alexandra Rios: Gente! Eu amei esse hotel! Desde o primeiro momento, na recepção no check-in, até o check-out.

Ren: Casa Canabal was such a great experience for my travel buddy and me! This was our first time in Colombia (visiting from USA) and I am so glad we spent our 5 nights here.LOCATION: Getsemaní turned out to be such a fun neighborhood to stay in. Lots to eat, see, and experience. It felt safe.SAFETY: The front door of the hotel is locked at all times, and you knock to enter. The room door opens with key card and has a safety lock inside. A locked safe is provided.ROOM: The room was good! It wasn't over the top, but definitely spacious enough for two people. The mini split worked incredibly well. The bathroom is large and the plumbing was good (no issues with hot and cold water). Comfortable bed, cleans sheets and towels every day, shampoo + soap + conditioner provided (bring your own face wash, lotion, and wash cloth if you use these items). No bugs (besides a few mosquitos in the lobby area). Quiet, clean, cool, comfortable!WINDOW: many of these reviews say that they didn't like that there wasn't a window. This was a good thing, in my opinion. Getsemaní is LOUD at night and I am a light sleeper. The window to the courtyard let some light in, but the city sound was completely masked in our room. You don't need a great view because you'll go out to explore! Plus, the rooftop pool, bar, and view are all incredible!STAFF: Everyone was INCREDIBLY KIND! They were attentive, and able to answer any question we had. Big smiles, fruit-infused water, help carrying luggage, welcome drinks, etc).BREAKFAST: The breakfast staff were also very kind and helpful. The food was the same every day (fruit, granola, yogurt, basics) and changed every day (oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, pudding, etc). They also make eggs however you want (scrambled, fried, etc with all the fixin's). Coffee, juice, all so good! I loved eating and people watching out of the window.Overall it was an incredible stay! The only thing I will warn is that the airport transportation is a taxi that they'll call for you if you ask. This is overwhelming if you're new to Colombia and your Spanish isn't great. We got scammed on the way to the hotel, having to pay the taxi driver x4 what it should have cost (20-30 pesos is about right). But this obviously wasn't the hotel's fault, and it's still not that much money at all!In my opinion, it is safe to book your stay with Casa Canabal!
Dhana Jimenez: A super cute, super nice and super quiet boutique hotel. I recommend it 100%
Iulia Milea: A beautiful hotel in the heart of Cartagena, the rooms are apacious and clean, the spa is great and they even have bicycles for guests to borrow.
Emily Shamburger: I stayed here for three nights in March with my husband. We booked a "deluxe room" which was located on the second floor. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, they were definitely the highlight of the hotel, especially the young man who helped with luggage and breakfast (it's been a month and I forgot his name) but he always went above and beyond, including running with me and my luggage to a corner to catch a cab when we were leaving town. The hotel is really beautiful and is very centrally located in Getsemani but only a couple minutes walk to the walled city. The little pool up top was nice for a dip on a hot day and the staff would pop right up if you wanted to order a drink. The breakfast was good with fruit, yogurt, toast, juice, coffee, and eggs to order (though I think they stopped serving at 9 which was a little early for us). The rooms were well-appointed and the bathrooms nice and big. My biggest complaint about the place is that there were no external windows except into the hallways/interior areas of the hotel. I believe that the price of the hotel reflects this as it is a very good value for what you get and the location, and since we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, it was ok for a short trip.Walkability: Great central location for exploring the walled city and Getsemani.
Maria Mercado: The best experience in Getsemaní, Cartagena since the moment we arrived until our departure. The customer service of all the staff was EXCELLENT! Daniela, Karen and Edwin were so kind with us.Rooms: Room was so comfortable and was cleaned every day.Nearby activities: Once you open the hotel door entrance, there it is all the activities you want to enjoy.Safety: Hotel area is very safeWalkability: EVERYTHING is walking distance. Restaurants, shopping and almost all the attractionsFood & drinks: The included breakfast was excellent and the staff pleased on our requests
Hondureña Soñadora: A cozy hotel, you have a delicious breakfast, its 100% service, everything is super close to walk, its colonial details together with its beautiful design make you spend a memorable experienceRooms: Son muy comodas, aprecio que usen productos de locittane , todo te hace pasar una noche increible

Robert Aparicio: They market the place as something better than it is for the price point. Most of the staff (besides those working in the restaurant) could care less about providing a great experience. Was provided a room with no windows, while construction was taking place. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere!Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Ana Valencia: Beautiful and good breakfastRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Angela Gaviria: Disappointed after a perfect weekend. The hotel is beautiful and the service is unbeatable from the people in the restaurant and reception; Unfortunately, at the time of check out, the dataphones were not working and the manager came to tell me that I could consign tomorrow without a problem. I also insisted on looking to leave payment and told him that I could make a transfer but since it belonged to another The bank was cumbersome and in the end I didn't make it to which I told him that I would deposit it when he arrived because I had a flight with weather on me, a car outside waiting and I had been trying to solve a problem that was at the hotel for almost 25 minutes, for a moment The courtesy of this man ran out of another and he told me that I had to pay now! to look for an ATM… I send the receptionist to take me to find an ATM and I had to go for a walk far from the hotel to get money in cash, risking it because the area is not very pleasant and after the incident they had no change and there it was another 10 minutes. The complaint goes to the lack of service from this person, this can happen and they always seek to make things easier for one and more when the fault was the hotel. I almost missed my flight and they gave me a hard time. What a pity that a single person has damaged the effort of a whole team and this has left me tasteless since I had loved the place and I was thinking of returning but not after this.Mr. Manager: you are not attending a compensation box so that you treat guests in a derogatory manner and think that one goes with the intention of not paying you... learn about service!
Cristina Rodriguez: Good ubication. Very pretty. comfortable rooms. Very friendly service. Little breakfast. Our first floor room was very noisy as you can hear conversations downstairs, doorbell, generator upstairs. ...

Jenny Smith: Hotel Casa Lola was the perfect place to kick off our extended honeymoon getaway in Cartagena. A cross between old steam punk, colonial, and Eastern decor with beautiful water streams throughout the incredible labyrinth of the hotel - there was so much to look at and take in at every corner! We thoroughly enjoyed our daily delicious breakfast full of amazing/unique local fruit (+ more), top notch coffee (according to my coffee connoisseur husband) and friendly service - all included with the room, which is the best if you are a budget conscious traveler like myself. :-) The split level rooms with the bed up on the second floor and mirrors all over also made for a one-of-a-kind experience. A major highlight was the rooftop deck with the most incredible views of the city and interesting nooks and crannies galore - it was so quiet up there whenever we made our way on the roof, and we always wondered why more guests/people weren't around enjoying lounging in this hidden gem of a spot!Staying in the heart of Getsemani (a block or so away from the famous Cafe Havana, where we enjoyed a night out of live music and salsa dancing) was such a treat, and the staff were extremely helpful with coordinating drivers from the airport and down to our self-coordinated trip to the Aviary one morning. And of course the neighborhood is a full cultural/art immersion experience - the colors and energy of the nights are one-of-a-kind!
Naima Lyn: The place has an old world charm. The staff is nice, attentive, friendly. Food is top notch. We had the salmon and burger. Drinks are decent. Location is THE best if you want to be knee deep in culture, close proximity to events, clubs, restaurants and all water tours. We had a blast! Last night here and we miss it already.Rooms: Unique decor, zen. If you enjoy nature, pick thid hotel.Nearby activities: Clubs. Tours. Plaza de la trinidad. The mall. The wall. The museums. Close to it all.Safety: Youtube reviews said Cartagena is dangerous. We did not sew nor feel that at all here.

P Dora: This hotel has lots of potential but unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired with room for improvement. The hotel is decorated beautifully. The location is fine. Our room (4) was quiet. The rooftop is a well curated space. Breakfast was also plentiful and of a good quality - the staff serving breakfast were polite, as were the cleaning staff we encountered. My main issues with the hotel were as follows:• Some of the staff presented as unhappy throughout, in particular those facilitating check in and check out. As the first and last impression of the hotel it would not hurt to expend a bit of energy on a smile.• On our second day we spent roughly 4 hours on the rooftop pool during the day. Unfortunately, there were no staff present on the rooftop to take requests for drinks and food. There was no information on the bar indicating opening hours of the hotel bar. There was a sign that said to call down to make requests but this appeared to only indicate an extension number, not a full number. The hotel website indicates there is an app in which you can make requests but this did not appear to be working. Eventually we left the pool area and hotel to grab drinks and food elsewhere.• The hotel website and information leaflets make reference to happy hour every day of the week. However when we witnessed another customer ask about this he was informed that happy hour only happens Wednesday to Friday. It is unprofessional for happy hour to be marketed in this way if the hotel is not providing such an offer. This false advertisement led to us observing a rather uncomfortable exchange between the customer and the member of the staff on our first night. The member of staff remained polite throughout the exchange but a quality hotel would acknowledge their own mistake and offer the customer a one time discretionary happy hour offer. It is poor form of the hotel to put the member of staff in this position.• WIFI was hit and miss in both our room and on the rooftop. In summary, this is a hotel with so much potential but I would not return in a rush until improvements are made.

The staff treats you like family, the location is great, it's very secure, and we ate some of the best breakfasts we've ever had there. Special thanks to Mariano for going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction!
Greg Schamberg: Excellent boutique hotel right in the heart of Cartagena. The AC in the rooms worked perfectly. You'll appreciate that after a day of exploring the city. The pool was cozy and intimate, and also very clean. The rooms are fantastic and really well appointed and huge. The beds were disappointing, as they just weren't comfortable. The staff was top notch and super helpful, though. Even with the less than ideal beds, I'd highly recommend this place.Walkability: Super close to everything in the walled city.

Casa de Alba Hotel Boutique: what do users think?
Rebecca Marks: Casa De Alba Boutique deserves more than five stars! Elegant with old world charm that makes it a a perfect complement to the ambiance of the walled city. Perfectly located and easy access to what Cartagena has to offer. Rooms are exquisite and very comfortable. It was lovely to have both pools and a beautiful front deck to enjoy fabulous food and watch the city life below. The staff is superb and made our stay wonderful in every way! Special thanks to Jefferson; he went above and beyond to create a wonderful experience for us and secured bookings for us at several amazing restaurants that we were unable to do on our own! We will be back to visit Cartagena and our friends at Casa De Alba Boutique!
Manzano Jessica: We stayed here for one night and our stay was absolutely wonderful !The hotel is in the “Cartagena old town”, so we were near to everything. The staff is so polite and full of advices.Breakfast was great with choices for eggs and juices. We had it on their little balcony with the street view, but we could also have it on the room.We will definitely come back and recommend it !Thank you 🙏🏽
Angelica Lawrence: I had the time of my life! I absolutely loved my stay. My sister and I were treated like royalty. Carlos went above and beyond to make our stay memorable! He set up taxi arrangements, horse and carriage rides, dinner reservations, excursions, massages and more. The staff was so pleasant and thought. I loved the indoor pool and decor. Carlos greeted us everyday with a smile and new insights about Cartenga. All I can say is wow and thank you for making my birthday so special! The breakfast was so delicious and the hotel is so peaceful. It truly is the perfect getaway. I recommend casa de alba for 5 stars! The food was amazing, the chef was wonderful. The staff was incredible ~ Carlos and Milton made sure everything was perfect. They kept us safe ~ and set up tour guides and reservations and even made sure we all made it back to the hotel safely. We laughed with them, and we hugged them. If you are ever in need of a wonderful place for a group or just a couple this place is perfect. We all fell in LOVE with Cartagena and we all want to go back already! ❤️❤️❤️
Miguel Acosta: THE BEST IS ITS PEOPLE.Excellent service from all its staff, reception, bar, kitchen, chambermaids... all very attentive and friendly, they strive to make you feel at home and help you in any way possible. The architecture is from an old house in excellent condition with a very warm and pleasant atmosphere, the rooms are pleasant and the bed is very comfortable to rest. It is inside the walled city close to everything. If we return to Cartagena we would stay here again.
Michael Sundholm: Wonderful hotel with terrific and attentive service. Antonio, Hernan, and Baker were all very helpful and professional.Breakfast in the morning was delicious and had a beautiful view of the street or you could sit in a very well decorated eating area. The pool area is always kept clean, neat, and beautiful.Other guests were friendly and respectful. The pool on the rooftop was amazing!Whenever we had a question or needed any assistance we were always met with kind and patient persistence to get us where we needed to go, helped us secure cabs to a and from the airport and arranged a Covid test for us.The value definitely is amazing to stay at such a great hotel with excellent staff!

Hernan and Milton made sure everything we needed was taken care of, booking restaurant reservations and even having snacks ready for us when we got back from a long boat day. Michele Cantelo: Since I can't reply to the hotels response, I'll set some details straight here:- The rate was $120 on our end, not sure what the $40 is, but $120 is very normal pricing for a nice hotel in Colombia. This can be confirmed through a simple Google search. I also have never felt the need to call hotels directly to confirm bookings when I have an email from a reputable company confirming it and have paid already. It's never been an issue before.- I absolutely wasn't screaming. I was too confused to even be angry in the moment. I have no idea where the "famous" traveler thing came from. This is completely fabricated and laughable.- They did not explain anything about not letting others in because a family was there. That's the main thing that I complain about in the review - the total lack of explanation and hospitality. From the moment they opened the door, they were unpleasant, even before knowing what we were there for or allowing us to speak. It wouldn't have cost them a thing for the staff member to be friendly.- We booked through Hotels.com, not Expedia. But, as I said, the mistake was seen across *all* websites, so it's not surprising the hotel has this detail confused.----We booked this hotel through Hotels.com and arrived yesterday only for their doorman to be extremely rude and not honor our reservation. They made a mistake in their pricing (across all websites - every website had this price, Booking, Trivago, etc.) and priced it lower than their actual rate. At the door, they were rude, didn't even apologize for their mistake, and acted as if *we"* had done something wrong. They didn't offer to let us into the lobby to correct the mistake (we could have paid the full price) or even just to have a place to sit while we found a new reservation. They just left us in the street with all of our bags and nowhere to go due their mistake (it couldn't have just been Hotels.com, as the price showed on EVERY website the same.) Even people on the street were shocked by how rude the man who worked there was. It's one thing for a logistical error to happen. It's another thing to have a total lack of hospitality, be totally rude, and leave people stranded. I've travelled 20+ countries and lived abroad for 4+ years and NEVER experienced this sort of thing.
Jesús Johan Villalobos G.: 👌🏽
Erick Cuellar: If I could give Casa de Alba more stars I would! Andres, Thomas, Baker, Hernan, and Antonio took the best care of us. The breakfast was delicious and prepared exactly at the time we asked. Baker made amazing drinks (ORDER THE PASSIONFRUIT MOJITO!) The rooms are spacious, super comfortable, and AC works well. Hernan helped us with transportation from and to the airport and our covid tests. At night Antonio served as our personal tour guide to get us around and ensure we didn't get lost. I didn't expect the level of attention my girlfriend and I received. We were sad to leave, but excited to plan another stay in the future with Casa de Alba. Thank you for an unforgettable time.
Franklin Manuel Diaz Muñoz: It is Fantastic, dreams come true ..... unique, passion and reality ..
Ty Allred: I stayed here with friends over a long weekend and we each loved it. The entire hotel is super clean. The rooms are very unique and come with a solid A/C (essential in the humidity of Cartagena). The hotel has two pools which were great to cool off/hang out in at the end of the day. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating to any request that arose. Breakfast in the second floor dining room each morning was fantastic. The location in central Old Town Cartagena also meant that all bars/restaurants were within walking distance.I would 100% stay here again.
Diego Ontaneda: Five stars. Casa de Alba is this gorgeous boutique hotel built in a historic house right in front of the cathedral in the old walled city.Location is unbeatable: You're walking distance from the best restaurants, clubs, cafés, and tourist spots in the old city.Class & décor: the owners have hand-picked everything you see in the hotel. the furniture, the art, the marble finishes... everything is tastefully chosen, and the collective impact is quite striking. The staff: the idea is that you will feel at home. The staff is professional and kind, and they add a lovely touch of human warmth to the experience.Food & drinks: top, top, top. You're welcomed with the best mojito (apparently the original recipe can be traced back to this house, which used to belong to Sir Francis Drake!). The in-house mixologist is a master, truly. And the meals were all delicious.Air conditioning! Don't take it for granted in the old city. And here you might actually freeze if you don't adjust it :)Do yourself a favor, and get this unique experience when in Cartagena!
Edgar Rafael Murillo Rodríguez: It is an excellent and exclusive place. Great attention; the variety of cocktails is excellent, as is the food.In addition, the staff is always very service minded. The space and atmosphere is crazy. It was a great experience.

Miguel Guerrero: The place is small, it is well placed, a bit noisy at night and with some shortcomingsVery accessible and excellent priceRooms: Son pequeñas pero completasNearby activities: Está muy bien ubicadoWalkability: Todo es cerca para ir caminando, comer, el café, restaurantes, compras

Camilo de Molina E.: Great hotel. Excellent service. They care about every single detail. If you go to the bar ask for the Fizz Del Este cocktail.
Beige Matthews: Everything about this hotel is absolutely lovely and gorgeous. The location is spectacular and the staff is the best I’ve experienced in a very long time. The grounds are perfect and having Alma as the in-house restaurant is an absolute treat. If you want the boutique feel, but with luxury - no questions asked, this is the place to stay.
Brittany Mitro: We had the most amazing stay at Casa San Agustin. We honestly could not recommend it enough. We were in Cartagena on our honeymoon and this was the perfect choice for us.The staff was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The doorman helped us on numerous occasions when we weren't sure where to go (e.g., when we needed to find an ATM, or find somewhere for lunch) and was always so friendly. The staff at breakfast were also amazing - it always started our day off well (plus the breakfast food was DELICIOUS). The spa staff were also lovely, and the Passion for Life spa treatment was such a good choice - relaxing and romantic! The hotel itself was BEAUTIFUL - the way they use the original architecture (and the old aqueduct!) and created luxury rooms and a beautiful pool area meant we felt like we got a full Cartagena experience. The little library room where they had tea and coffee everyday was a really nice touch as well.We also took the opportunity to spend a day at their private beach property Acasi, which was a great way to see the Rosario Islands and get some beach-time in a relaxed and private venue. We highly recommend doing this if you are looking to venture out that way!Lastly, the location of the hotel was perfect - right in the centre of the walled city, among a range of fantastic restaurants - it really was the perfect choice for us.
Alison Rooney: Just left the property after staying for a week. I booked with FHR. The hotel is beautiful. The design and focus on Colombian history was gorgeous. I loved walking through it to see all of the art and design elements. What worked:Nice room upgrade and I loved the space. Well designed with a Nespresso maker and water provided. Lots of space to relax and a two tvs. The housekeeping was excellent and the room was well cared for. Turn down service was very welcome. The security and front door was always visible and they welcome everyone on arrival. Each person I met was kind and genuinely engaged in their role at the hotel.Breakfast was plentiful and some choices came off better than others. Dinner at Alma was quite good and I would recommend it.What needs work:Prior to arrival, I sent no less than 10+ emails to book airport pick ups, tours and dinners. All the messages went unanswered. I called. No one picked up. I booked my own dinners. For the activities, I wasn’t successful at getting these booked. The staff promised to follow up. Never did.I did a walking tour one day.Other than that, I did my own thing.I spoke with Paola and with Gladys. For some reason, the feedback didn’t make Ny measurable difference. The spa service was good but the manager kept trying to upswell me.Would I stay again?Probably not. I loved Cartagena!
Alexander Tucci: Horrendous Administrative Service - Our inability to reach the hotel led to an unfortunate situation where the administration refused to refund our payment or provide any flexibility for a future visit. It is strongly recommended to stay away from this place under all circumstances.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Zara Whittier: Great placeRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Christiam Enrique Fischer Vargas: Boutique hotel in the walled city of Cartagena with a colonial style and a lot of history, excellent service from its employees
Beba: Excellent attention from the bar, the guys are super friendly and attentive... we didn't stay, we just went for a few drinksFood & drinks: Excelente
Megan Boling: My boyfriend and I booked a couples massage and it was absolutely incredible! We've both had massages from various places and agreed that this was the best massage we've ever had. The facility was beautiful and immaculate. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Ciaia, Yerenia, and Ludy were amazing and made the morning so special for us. We definitely plan on coming back and hope to be able to stay longer at this hidden gem!
Ganesha Thirumurthi: A truly wonderful hotel. The ambiance is lovely and very peaceful. The staff are incredible - so helpful and kind. Special thank you to Katherine, Andres and Edgar. If you are considering staying here we'd highly recommend it. It lives up to the great reviews.Deep tissue massage in the spa was also wonderful and the setting is very relaxing.I proposed at the hotel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.Highly recommend Casa San Agustin!

Casa Claver Loft Boutique Hotel: what do users think?
Nathan: This was a really cool hotel to stay at. You feel like you are just surrounded by history. Walking distance to just about everything and very safe. All the good restaurants, bars, clubs, coffee shops, museums and anything else you need near by. The hotel staff was very nice and very accommodating. They made sure that we had everything we needed. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was fantastic! Spent the early mornings and late evenings walking around exploring, but the middle of the day just chilling by the rooftop pool sipping on the local cervezas. I would definitely stay here again.
Jason Oster: Great hotel at a good price. Clean and comfortable. Great staff. Nice rooftop views. Close to many great restaurants and activities.Rooms: Clean, comfortable apartments. Washing machine, cook top and refrigerator in the room.Walkability: Within the walls of the old fort/city, can walk to everything in a matter of minutes. Close to the beach.Food & drinks: Close to many great restaurants, coffee shops and shopping areas.
Cyassandra Frith: All around 5 Stars ⭐️We were a girls trip of 4 and the room offered PLENTY of space!! I’m an AC girl and the AC did NOT disappoint! The bathrooms were clean and décor was chic and functional. You get daily breakfast which was not only delicious but bought in suite daily and set up by the kind staff. I will definitely be back!!Pictures show views from the rooftop pool which is such a tranquil vibe!
Laura Torres: Wow!What a treat this place. The rooms are beautiful, the beds delicious. The staff was very attentive to our needs, they recommended a delicious place for dinner. The terrace has an unbeatable view of the city surrounded by the two most important domes of Cartagena.Excellent location. It's certainly not a cheap option, but it's worth every peso for the category of hotel.
Alissa Weinman: My friends and I stayed in a Deluxe room for 3 nights on the way back from Tayrona — to say we LOVED Casa Claver is to put it lightly. The hotel itself is so beautiful — from the plants in the lobby area to the downstairs pool to the incredible rooftop. We spent a good amount of time lounging on the rooftop pool taking in Cartagena, and also used it as a great hangout area before going out.The room itself was perfect for 3, but definitely could have fit 4 comfortably. The AC in the Cartagena heat was a godsend for us and the natural light made the room even better. As far as location, it was the perfect place to stay in the Walled City. It was a less than a ten minute walk to some of the must-sees in the area and a 13 minute walk to Getsemani. On top of everything, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating to us as travelers. I’d definitely stay here again!
Leandro Fajardo: Rooms: Espaçosos e confortáveis.Nearby activities: Dentro do Centro histórico de Cartagena.Walkability: No meio do centro histórico.
parthiv shah: Incredible! Breathtaking views from rooftop! Excellent location!
Alexandra Dékány: The good: The location is the absolute best. Everything—things to see/do, restaurants, shops—is within walking distance and it’s only about a 15 min drive from the airport (waking up at 6am and being able to wander around in the *empty* old city is priceless!). I want to give extra credit to the staff who are kind, helpful, attentive and they do their best! There are two pools—one inside and one on the rooftop. The rooftop area has a stunning view of the city. We got a standard double room on the first floor. Mini fridge in the room and closet to unpack clothes. Breakfast is included and it has to be ordered the day before for a specific time for the next morning. No buffet. Food is really delicious, the cooks are great. The not-so-good: there was no bottle water offered in the room, even though it would’ve been a nice touch and every other hotel offered it. WiFi barely works. The room looks right at the indoor pool and people obviously walk around there all the time which means zero privacy, unless you keep the roller shades down. For the same reason it’s not a quiet room either. There isn’t enough shelf space around the sink to keep toiletries there. Broken shower door—the water is spraying all over the bathroom floor.Walkability: Very walkable.
Daylen Perez: Quiet place recommended to restRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Aisha Batista: Stayed in Cartagena for 5 days.. We were hotel hopping to just get a feel for where we’d like to stay next time we come back to Colombia and this property was the best. The room was large, clean, and quiet. We had our own bathroom and our beds were both king sized. We had included breakfast delivered to our room which was also very delicious! We had the choice to choose from four different types of breakfasts, so so so nice. I really enjoyed the pool/rooftop. All it’s missing is a bar but overall the pool was so refreshing and perfect for the Cartagena heat. I am definitely coming back here. Also most importantly… there is so much nearby you can walk to.. I was going to stay at an Airbnb further away from the walled city but I’m glad I didn’t. I had friends who were staying there and they had to cab it everywhere because there was not many options close by. Everything was residential. I like being able to just walk outside and get some dinner options.I really loved this boutique hotel! Thanks for the amazing hospitality. I wish I would have stayed longer but the price went up like crazy after the 1st night so I went elsewhere… If you didn’t know, Cartagena is crazy busy in January due to holiday celebrations all month. So book accordingly and make sure you do your research or you won’t sleep at night por una chimba rumba. 😎🎉
Jaime Garcia: Very comfortable facilities. Excellent location in the heart of the walled town. Quiet atmosphere and spectacular staff attention. I would return for sure
Mary P: I think we got the smallest room in the entire hotel. Our room in way smaller than expected from the website. It’s on the 4th floor and very near the lovely pool which is really nice. The excellent breakfast is included and is absolutely amazing. They will even deliver it to your room balcony - which is necessary as there is no place to set it down inside your room. We ran into a few other minor issues: the door to the unit when closed still bangs in the wind and makes a loud knocking sound. We fixed that by filling the ice bucket with water to make it heavy and pushed it against the door to keep it in place. There’s not enough outlets for your phones so we had to unplug the clocks. There is NO ROOM whatsoever for toiletries in the bathroom. Most of my bath items are in my travel bags on the floor. The 2 bath towels are pretty scratchy. There were no hand towels. However, I would still recommend this place because of the views, the nice staff, the incredibly excellent breakfast, and the beautiful pool, and the fact that most of the rooms are larger than this one. If you want a larger room be sure you know what you are getting. The website indicated a very large king room with a large bathroom. This is not that. If you don’t mind such a small room, then this is just perfect.
Daymara Escarra: Excellent hotel, very good price for everything it offers. Huge rooms, breakfast in the room or in the area of the hotel you want. It is very quiet and is in the center, 2 blocks from the Clock Tower. In addition, the workers are very friendly and always willing to help.
Alejandro Cortez: The attention of its staff, the wonderful place and its location, its pool terrace and view make this place an unbeatable option when arriving in Cartagena... soon we will return without a doubt.
Jasmine Douglas: Just left the hotel today. Stayed for 5 days. Staff, amazing. Breakfast, amazing. Loved that we could ask the staff for recommendations or directions and they took the time to help us out. We checked out at noon today and the staff was nice enough to store our luggage away safely because our ride wasn’t there for airport pickup yet. Would definitely stay again.
Carolinne Polonio: Excelente hotel, próximo de tudo. Ficamos no Loft 303 e super recomendo. Quarto perfeito, espaçoso, bonito, ótimo café da manhã , funcionários muito educados e gentis. O ponto é o terraço que possui uma vista linda, além de uma piscina e ambiente agradável. Voltarei com toda certeza!
Marianela Gerber: Spacious and comfortable roomsRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Steven Kern: Great boutique vibe for this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.
Matthew Koch: Amazing boutique hotel in the Old City of Cartagena. From our arrival until check-out the staff were so friendly and helpful. Right away we were upgraded to a nicer room, which was honestly too big for two of us to fully take advantage of, but we really appreciated it. The entire property was very clean and we'll kept. The breakfast each morning was delicious and filling, with a range of options that you order the night before. The rooftop pool had a great view and you can't miss taking advantage of it. We were alsp lucky enough to watch the parade in front of the hotel. Special shout-out to the front desk staff for helping arrange laundry, volunteering to walk me to an ATM when I was having troubles finding one that was open, and arranging our long taxi ride to Tayrona National Park. If we make it back to Cartagena, we will 100% be staying here again.Rooms: Spacious, clean, and comfortableFood & drinks: Delicious breakfast each day with 5 or 6 different options that you order the night before. The time range that you could eat, either downstairs near the courtyard pool or in your room, was I believe 7-10am, so very accommodating.
Rosanna Rodriguez: Such an amazing experience. This boutique was absolutely perfect! It was close to everything such as entertainment, restaurants, souvenir shops, clubs, etc. The view was breathtaking, and dreamy. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities you need. I will definitely be coming back here again, I felt safe which was extremely important for me. The only downside was that the WiFi really wasn't the best, it kept going in and out. But, it made you enjoy the moment more since you weren't constantly occupied on your phone. I extremely recommend doing a boutique rather than a hotel, it made the experience more personal.

Bastión Luxury Hotel: what do users think?
erika samaniego: The rooms are beautiful. The pool looks so much bigger in the photos, in reality it was small and one family with kids can take all the space of it. However they have a lot of space to sit and sip some drinks at the rooftop. The staff was kind and helpful. We arrived very early and left late in the afternoon and were allowed to remain in the public areas of the hotel and they held our bags while we explored some more of the city.Rooms: Big and cozy, nice view from balcony and great showers.Nearby activities: So many good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Getsemani is about 15-20 mins away walking.
James Lammerding: Truly wonderful experience. Jorge was very welcoming and attentive to everything I needed during my stay. Front desk staff was very helpful.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

C Woods: Stayed here for 7 days. Rooms are big and comfy. Tile floors so bring your slippers. Bathrooms are nice size. Showers are great. They have nice products in the bathroom. They offer a nicebuffet breakfast in the restaurant but you can also get made to order breakfast. Lobby is nice to kick it and chill but depending on when you go, you might become a buffet for mosquitoes. There is a room next to the outdoor lobby area and it's comfy and a great place to hang out. The rooftop pool is amazing and the views from up there are phenomenal. Pool area is the perfect place to hang out and drink. Internet connection could be spotty at times but wasn't too bad. Front desk was very attentive to any of our needs. Staff was extremely accommodating. Nice hotel to stay at inside the Walled City.
Erica Chew: We spent 5 spectacular days there. The pool was great and the sunset views were stunning. Jorge gave great recommendations of things to do in town. Jordan helped find us reservations and hooked us up with a great walking tour with a local, Aura. Highly recommended. Only thing that I didn't like is they wouldn't heat up my leftovers. I had it in the fridge and was so excited to eat it the next morning but couldn't.Walkability: Great location. Everything in the old town was about 15 min walk max.
Craig R: Great location with full breakfast included. A full spa. A short walk to most parts of the city. Rooftop pool/bar with amazing service (Janner/Jorge are the best!). A quiet oasis away from the busy city below, with its own unobstructed sunset views.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet, Great value …More
ANJLI SHAH: My husband and I stayed at Bastion for 4 nights. It is definitely not a “luxury” hotel for following reasons- as soon as we were allocated a room we realised the air conditioning unit was not working. The workmen did come and sort this out.We then realised our sink was getting clogged up and the water was not draining. This caused a sewage smell in the bathroom. We did let the manager know about this and he assured us it would be dealt with whilst we were sight seeing. Nothing seemed to be sorted. After 2 nights of sleeping in this room and finally making a fuss at reception they did change our room as they said the sink problem could not be sorted. However the second room we were allocated had a broken toilet roll holder, broken tiles on the bathroom floor, the shower wasn't draining quick enough hence was overflowing, the room telephone wasn't working. We did complain to the manager but he didn't seem to be too bothered. The room was definitely not fit to be allocated to a guest.- Breakfast was mediocre for a 'luxury' hotel! There were insects (fruit flies) all over the fresh fruit and the staff didn't seem to be bothered by it.The hotel is in a good location, slightly away from all the hustle and bustle but yet close enough. However I would recommend other hotels in the vicinity which are probably cheaper but have better service and rooms.
Maria Hernandez: 10/10 I would definitely come back and enjoy it again. From the decor to the service every details is thought to make it specialFood & drinks: The ceviche is amazing
Laura Patricia Támara Muñoz: Excellent service and attention. We marriedIn the Santo Toribio church, and arrive walking to the church. Very convenient they decorated the room on the wedding night and they were very special
René Francisco Torres Jugo: The hotel is excellent to spend a few days and get to know Cartagena from the walled city. It is very well located. The hotel is not ostentatious luxury, very nice to relax in a quiet environment. The staff is very polite and oriented to make things easier. The truth is that it is a characteristic of Cartagena, everyone is very helpful and cheerful.
Mo Gourrier: We had a great room next to the courtyard! The pool upstairs was wonderful with a bar and plenty of seating. The gentleman serving us by the pool was very friendly as well! The food and drinks were amazing.

Harika Chatlapalli: Beautiful hotel and rooms, very convenient location, and friendly staff! The breakfast was also delicious. They had umbrellas for us to borrow and helped accommodate transportation from and to the airport.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jairo Alberto Florez Ramirez: Excellent hotel located in the San Diego area. Very comfortable rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Lori Rasmussen: Lovely boutique hotel in a perfect old town location! Quiet, close to everything, very clean, and rooms are well-appointed. Staff was kind & attentive. Highly recommend!
Cristian Julio: A spectacular boutique hotel! Very well located and tastefully decorated. Very cozy and with a jacuzzi and pool for the heat. Rich and complete breakfast.
Heck Master (hecker is awesome): Very unique I think has 4-5 rooms (very small) but looks but inside a the roof is so tall so cold but great there a common room as they say like Harry Potter in the upstairs and very secure
Robo Cob: It's very nice and has a nice breakfast. Expect platters of fruit and wine. It has a very small pool and a jacuzzi. Lovely little hotel. Very centrally located.
Sebastian Osorio: Place, magical, perfect ⚡✨ recommended for tourists and nationals who like the best!!
JenNeal Massinello: This hotel will always have a special place in our hearts as it was our first experience with Cartegena. Prior to arriving, Leyla, one of the great staff there corresponded with me about all the questions and requests that we had. She gave the experience of a 5 star hotel.Through the hotel, we were able to arrange for a car service to meet us and drop us off at the property. It was such a welcoming experience. The location, to me is perfect as it gave such a quiet reprieve from the busyness of the streets. It felt like our own private oasis. The accommodation is a great juxtaposition of modern and old. We enjoyed the breakfast daily- it felt like we had a private chef cooking for us. Absolutely loved everything about this property.
Edisson Andrade: Excellent location within the Walled City. Near everything. A few meters from the beginning of the wall and La Serrezuela Shopping Center. Restaurants and others. In short, I recommend the place 100%.
Peter K: The hotel was a good place to stay overall & the location is perfect. It's not in the "loud" area. They helped us arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel and charged us $60 pesos, and we found out it only costs $20-25 pesos to get a taxi from the airport. I guess that's the tourists price. Breakfast was pretty good and the staff were very friendly.
Manuel 8-A Berrío: History is perceived, the human warmth is excellent
Pablo A. Garcia: Upset. Quite high price for the offer.
Max Rivers II: The customer service here was absolutely amazing. The entire staff, though not very large, was very accommodating to our needs. Jhan Carlos was excellent. He helped book restaurant reservations, excursions and the COVID test. The hotel is a boutique hotel with about 7-8 rooms, but I enjoyed the intimacy of the space. The location was great too. Breakfast was included in the rate, and they made the food fresh in the kitchen not far from the seating area. To enter the hotel, you have to knock on the door and someone will let you in. This tactic helps keep those passing by from just walking inside. If I return to Columbia, I will for sure stay at this hotel.
