Rosario Valdivia: What a picturesque city, the colonial center and strong colors, it seems that time has not passed.
Victoria Patiño: Every time I go to Cartagena I discover new beautiful and romantic places. It is a city that combines old architecture with modern buildings, it has beautiful landscapes and there are fun places to visit with many tourist attractions.They offer attractions that can be visited on tourist buses and other vehicles that we know as Chivas, some also designed as trams, pirate ships, boats, yachts, ships and even a cruise port.

Armando Ibarra: The city is an exemplary example of the Latin American spirit and its colonial past.The historic center is majestic beyond the obvious commercial spirit dedicated to plundering the tourist.The boardwalk and its yacht clubs alternate with the promenade of its inhabitants, the enormous inequality of society in this and in many Latin American countries.However, the greatness of this city is in its people. In his generous and gentle spirit.Cartagena is a place worth visiting.

Nick Davidson: Spent 10 days in Cartagena with an excellent and varied programme devised by TiC. Good choice of beaches ( liked Blue Apple Beach followed by Fenix), interesting cooking course and delicious Ceviche Tour. Would strongly recommend TiC as the people to plan your stay in and around Cartagena.

Jeanine Lucarelli: I unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with This is Cartagena. I had booked a trip to Blue Apple Beach through this company for a Sunday, i got an email confirming that i was all set and ready to go for me and 3 other people. I then received an email the next day saying unfortunately there is no availability for Sunday (after i already got a confirmation) and was asked if i would like to go Monday, and without an argument i said no problem. I received a confirmation to meet at their office at 10:30AM, and that's exactly what i did. The office was closed (due to a holiday that i would have no idea about because i was just vacationing and it was never mentioned when they had me move my reservation to this day) So we called and called and then i emailed and finally got a hold of someone and they said they were having someone come pick us up, and would refund me for the at least the transportation. At this point my friends and i have already got in a taxi to get on a boat to make sure we can enjoy the day at the island we had all paid for already, not only did we have to pay for a taxi, we had to pay a decent amount of money to get us to an island by a different boat. Not only did they refuse to refund me for what was their mistake after they said they would, they ignored my last email asking them to reconsider that decision. So for anyone visiting Colombia, i don't recommend going through this company, Blue Apple Beach was great once we were there so i would just find another way to get there so you don't have to pay double like we did.
Brad Worthington: I did two tours with them. They were very helpful on both occasions. The Rosario islands was nice but pretty basic. The Tierra Bomba bike tour was great. It was fun and informative. The tour guides, Valerie and Cindy, were very helpful and went over the top to help.

s heydt: One of the best best vacations we've ever taken! Rainbow Nelson and his talented team looked after every detail of our nine days in and around Cartagena. We traveled with our three children and my parents--there was something fun for everyone. This Is Cartagena planned wonderfully creative adventures for us each day, like a treasure hunt for the kids, salsa dancing lessons, chocolate making, floating in a mud volcano, tours through the market and a gondola ride through the mangroves. They arranged for daily Spanish lessons (Gustavo was fantastic with the kids!) and private tours with dynamic, talented guides (Ronaldo and Alex!). We chose Colombia because we hoped to expose our children to other cultures and ways of life. I'll admit I was a little nervous to travel there, but we felt safe at every moment--and I appreciated the efforts they made to Introduce us to aspects of real life in Cartagena, beyond the typical tourist experiences. It left a lasting impact upon us all!The accommodations were great. We loved the Casa Hobo and the amazing staff! Excellent food at every meal--we dined in several times and were treated to traditional Colombian cuisine. The week also included several meals out on the town arranged by This is Cartagena. They planned for a range of dining experiences that were occasionally adventous, but always delicious! Our three days at a private beach retreat were heavenly! The place came equipt with a beautiful pool overlooking the Caribbean, food served up under the palm trees, and daily excursions on speedboats to explore the nearby islands. It was paradise! What luck we had finding Rainbow and his team. We were so well looked after--leaving it all to come home was the hardest part!

Oliver Pérez Camargo: I was at a wedding brunch where my friends, with great affection, reserved for approximately 50 people. But they had only one waiter serving, the brunch lasted from 10am to 2pm while they served everyone. There were even people who got tired and left. When they complained, they only put one more person to attend, and things improved a bit but they were still super slow. I saw that they made an effort but they were simply too few.Too bad such a paltry staffing spoiled what could have been a nice beachside brunch with cool breezes and enjoyable food.

Katie Fisken: Cartagena Connections is such a fantastic way to see the city and experience the local culture. Kristy is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the local community and that shines through on her tours! I attended the street food tour and I cannot recommend it enough! If you're wanting to dabble in street food and learn the local ways then this is the tour for you! More broadly Cartagena Connections is the one stop shop for info on all of the best spots in town!
Kristi Vanskiver (Whisky Wanderlust): Kristy was an amazing guide and extremely helpful when trying to accomodate our vegan friend on the street food tour. There is really limited options for a vegan but she really made us all feel welcome and included. She is a wealth of knowledge on history and culture of Cartagena and makes the information fun and engaging. I really couldn't recommend the tour more. It's way more than just a food tour!

Planning our tours was hassle free and communication through WhatsApp was quick.Daniel showed us around the Bazurto Market, he shared history while showing us the market, sampling local fruit, snacks, and some hidden gems. We finished with lunch, which was some of the most delicious food we had during our trip to Colombia.We also booked a private boat tour of the Rosario Islands, where Ana helped coordinate our day and itinerary. She made everything so easy and since our group speaks very limited Spanish, she was well appreciated through out the day.Everything worked out so well, the guides were excellent, these two tours exceeded our expectations and were the most fun activities during our trip to Colombia!
Hollie Evans: What a cool experience! If you're lucky, Dan will be your guide. A super cool local with great vibes. He will take you to spots that you would otherwise walk right past and not notice. He will take you to try 2 types of arepas, empenadas, deditos and much more, beer included! The response I got via email was about the tour including beach time, lunch etc. I replied saying that I was not interested in the tour. They said fine they would look if the transport was available. Never got back to me. Update your website if not offering the service and don't waste people's time.
Elizabeth Grewe: Had the best experiences with Cartagena Connections! They set us up with a coffee tasting at Cafe Del Mural that completely changed how we thought about coffee. Unforgettable, delicious, very educational. Then we did a market tour with Dan, he was so friendly and knew the maze of the alleys and stalls well. Definitely go with a guide. Dan had great vibes and helped us buy produce. He made sure we got to try local juice and fruit and surprised us with a souvenir at the end, a customized poster from a local artist. Communication with March at CC before, during and after the experiences was friendly, responsive and helpful. Recommend working with them for all sightseeing and touristic needs!

I sent multiple emails confirming the experience I wanted, asked if it was still available and never heard back from anyone. Do not waste your time with this company. There are better ones in Cartagena.

Michael Müller: We had the steet food tour with Kristy and we were absolutely amazed by it.Kristy, living since years in Cartagena, does not only know all the best places to get street food, she also knows a ton of stories about the city itself, the different cultures, the current situation and how the people make their living, about murals, and and and...So this tour is not really about "the city was found in xy bla bla" but about the little details and also about how things and city spots are connected to the history and the people.The food itself was delicious and more than plenty. I did not count but we had like ten snacks, fruits and drinks. But warning: You need to be into fried stuff and cheese but when you are you will love this experience.

Pedimos una canción para cantar cumpleaños y no lo permitieron porque solo se escucha música electrónica, éramos un grupo de más de 15 personas adultas para celebrar el cumpleaños de una persona de 60 años. La anfitriona no nos quería permitir entrar porque ya querían cerrar el local y su horario de cierre era dentro de 3 horas!NO LO RECOMIENDO EN LO ABSOLUTO !Esta de mas decir que mas nunca volveria a este lugar …Me gustaría agregar que no recomiendo ningún plato y mucho menos la cerveza que estaba súper caliente !

Lady Bello: The reason why I’m putting 5 stars is because the food is sooo delicious yum yum and where the restaurant is located the is amazing. The bad part is the communication in that restaurant. If you go on google maps search up the restaurant and try to call that restaurant the number bad it doesn’t go through. I tried sooo many times I had to go to another restaurant and ask for help. That restaurant needs to adjust the number as to why they haven’t is a mystery. Once I was able to successfully make the reservations a few hours later I called to make sure my reservations was ok and then I called again the second day just make sure, call me crazy I just like to make sure everything was okay. As soon as I got there they didn’t see my reservations 🤯!!! I had to get loud and rude to the put that they called in the manager and I told the manager this is a mess on how you handle the reservations. Yeah you can also do the reservations online but I believe in doing things myself and or in person. The manager let me in because I gave him all proof that I tried calling to make a reservation and everything. We sat the table that we picked. WE WAITED FOR AN HOUR for our server to come to us. Another serve saw us tried to help and she noticed that our actual serve never came up to us. She decided to help I was soo angry on how the manager miss manages his personal. The server who help us was soo sweet to us. I left her a tip and she said that there’s a new law in Colombia that because the restaurants are paying the servers well the customers aren’t allowed to tip us. I believe alll restaurantes should follow this example.

Elena Palacio: I had the opportunity to visit this beautiful restaurant and I simply loved it. From the reservation of the place and the attention to every detail requested, they lived up to expectations. The dishes are very delicious, especially the seafood casserole, the salmon, the steak and the galleon rice. As for the Tour, it simply fascinated me; It is very didactic, clear and above all the exact information about the history of Cartagena. Guiomar Hernandez: No lo recomiendo. Parece un almuerzo ejecutivo. El arroz con poco sabor a coco y mala presentación. Ensalada con mucho repollo y salsa. El pescado a la plancha estaba con un sabor extraño, no estaban frescos los pescados. Y el precio caribeño. Decoración bastante regular, tienen unos perros de peluche que no pegan en el lugar. Lo único bueno la cerveza.
Pedro Luis Romero Figueroa: Es uno de los mejores descubrimientos que he tenido últimamente el lugar es muy bueno tiene la mejor relación calidad precio, sus platos ejecutivos son muy buenos, la mojarra en especial es deliciosa y yo no soy amante del pescado, pasa muy solo es pequeño pero acogedor, la comida es tradicional pero simplemente no decepciona, el ejecutivo cuesta 12 mil pesos serian unos 5 dolares pero incluye sopa y bebida adicional al plato fuerte y de buena calidad todo un precio excelente insuperable en calidad precio hasta ahora.

Kathryn Anderson: The most colourful bar I have ever been to! I didn't eat anything so I don't feel like I can give it 5 stars, but based on ambiance and cold beer, it definitely gets 4 stars. A very fun place to take a break from the heat, lots of graffiti on the walls and colourful decor throughout. If you're in the neighbourhood, definitely pop in for a drink and check it out.

Manav Khandelwal: Our favorite meal in Cartagena by far! The setting was beautiful with an outdoor courtyard and indoor air conditioned tables. The service was fast and generous; they brought us an extra small appetizer and an extra dessert that were both fantastic and on the house. For food, we loved everything we got: the ceviche, the Al pastor tacos, the burrata salad, the brisket, and the pork belly. Everything was just out of this world especially the pork belly. Portions are fairly even between entradas and mains.
J. Savage: Carmen is not safe place for people of color. I was shocked and saddened by my recent visit to Carmen of Cartagena . It was especially disappointing since we had a positive dining experience at theMedellin location. We knew weren’t welcome from the minute we entered the restaurant. The female hostess made it clear from the moment we walked in the door that we weren’t welcomed there. I was shocked and sadden because Carmen highly recommended. I was in awe because she was a women of color. America has it issues, but it is rare that i am disrespected by someone that looks like me. I want my racism the good ole fashion American way by folks that don’t look like me. I recommend that people of color patronize establishments where your money is welcomed. This is not Carmen of Cartagena. Kudos, to Mar y Zielo for getting it right. Also, kudos to the male host that tried his best to accommodate our party. I would return if I could deal with him. Again, avoid Carmen of Cartagena. Stick to the the one in Medellin.

Johanna Villegas: I visited during rainy season, so beware- it can be quite hot in the evenings. The restaurant provides bug spray but when making your reservation, their system does not specify that you may choose from an Air conditioned area or not. Keep this in mind and ensure you follow up with the restaurant to ensure you get the area you want.Overall, the service was fabulous. The food was good enough. I will not be back but I recommend you check it out at least once.

Alison Rooney: I had the opportunity to dine here during a recent trip to Cartagena. There is a lot of buzz for this spot. Reservations require a credit card be several follow up messages. I chose the 7 course tasting with wine. I sat outside on the patio. The service began with finesse and attention and sadly finished on the clumsy side. The courses are small and the pairings range from a local beer to a wine with peppermint. Some of the dishes were quite outstanding and the flavors were complex. Some like the chickpea dish fell flat for me. The server doing the wine pairing was rushed and never took time to discuss the wines. I enjoyed the experience and the chance to take part in a space that is unique and deeply rooted in the home city.
Hector Camero: We dined at 7 times. The experience was unique. The attention of Juan Carlos unsurpassed. Only in restaurants with Michelin stars have I eaten at this level. Do not stop coming if you are in Cartagena.
Michael C. Delapena: This restaurant was recommended by the manager of my hotel and it didn't disappoint. Located in Cartagena's historic district, it is super cute. They also had live music. I ordered a seafood dish, which came with shrimp, mussels and octopus. Delicious! My partner ordered a beef specialty, and she liked it plenty. We started with empanada appetizer, which I also recommend. They brought yuca bread on the house. Our server was very friendly and answered all our questions. I would return.
