Silvia, Aldo and her wonderful team helped me and my now husband have the destination wedding of our dreams! Literally. She flawlessly orchestrated everything from fireworks, hora loca, saxophonist, amazing decoration and even a Salsa band on an island off of Cartagena (Tierra Bomba). All that in addition to helping us manage logistics for our 130 out of town guests and planning 3 per-wedding days of pure fun! Maria Duarte: I could not have chosen a better team to plan my wedding. Silvia and Aldo became more than just “planners” after planning my wedding for almost three years (thanks covid). After all, I could say both of them became our family and also our friends ❤️ . Silvia has planned many weddings and brings to the table a lot of knowledge and good ideas. She pays a lot of attention to detail and understands very well what their clients want and need. After three years you could imagine that our wedding suffered many many changes and the team very patiently addressed each of them. I could also remark that after postponing my wedding the first time just one week away, she managed to talk to every single provider so we didn’t lose the money we had already invested. The day of the wedding everything came out as planned and even better. The food was amazing and the staff was incredibly attentive. Daniel OConnor: I’d like to first stat by saying I am a very hard grader, but always strive to be fair. Now that we got that out of the way, I can’t express how happy my wife and I were with Cartagena Magica. We consider ourselves pretty detailed people when it comes to searching for services, especially on such a important event as our wedding. Siliva and here team were very attentive throughout the process. She guided us through the months leading up the wedding via zoom meetings. She provided us several vendor options for, provided her input but ultimately left the final decision to us. She kept us focused and when we fell behind on decision making pushed us along. What we were most impressed with was the level of coordination and attention her and her team had when we actually arrived in Cartagena for the wedding activities. We felt as though we had a whole army working to ensure things went smoothly. Many of our guests commented on the number of people with small microphones that were running around to complete last-minute items. In addition, Siliva and her team even arranged some surprises that I had planned and my wife had planned for one another. While these items were out of scope (including shopping for the grooms suit at some local Colombian Designers) Siliva and Aldo didn’t hesitated, and facilitated all of our requests with pleasure. If you are planning a destination wedding, and seeking a skilled/professional and local planner than I would not hesitate in signing up with Siliva and Cartagena Magica. She has a very clear system for how to handle all elements of preparing for a wedding and collaborated closely with us to work our way through the entire list through weekly meetings and always-on WhatsApp availability (which was important to us, as we live in New York). She even went out of our way to support our other wedding events, especially the Friday night Welcome Party. She walked me through her hole way of planing and organizing my four privet events and she most definitely didn’t disappoint in any way.Events (First day drinks at Alquímico, second day Welcome Cocktial at Mar y Zielo, third our Wedding Day at Casa 1537 and fourth our goodbye dinner at Restaurante Don Juan).I trusted them blindly with everything and they delivered every single time.Everything was very transparent with the payments and suppliers (witch to me it was very important). Andrea Sanmiguel: After 2 years of waiting, I wanted our wedding day to be fun, memorable and STRESS-FREE and working with Silvia gave me just that. She took care of every detail before I had even thought of it. If there were any problems (there always are when planning events) I didn’t even learn about them until after. She adjusts to what’s important to you to give you the experience that you want. In my own case, I was overwhelmed with research, so she narrowed down and gave me 3 options to pick from, making it easier for me. My French husband was particular about the wine, so she brought in a sommelier to choose based on his preferences. We were mixing cultures and our invitations were in 3 languages, but she met every challenge. Where we wanted something more expensive, she advised other places in the budget that could be adjusted to accommodate. I would have gone absolutely crazy without her guidance, support, expertise, and unflappable air. The day of, I was calm and able to simply enjoy because I knew it was all taken care of - I was able to let go because we had built that trust. I had an amazing time, as did my guests, and I would recommend her over and over again.
