Pero de verdad que el lugar vale la pena.Adecuado para niños: Siii, el dueño tiene una perra espectacular llamada iris, jugo y cuidó todo el tiempo a mi hijo de 7 años, adicionalmente adaptó un menú infantil para mi hijo que queria comer pescado, en vez de nuggets de pollo se los hizo de róbalo, mi hijo quedó feliz, además que el entorno natural nos permitió ver peces, recoger conchitas, caracolas completas e incluso ver los animales que viven dentro de las caracolas.

Had delicious Thai food on a small patch of beach where we could sit back, relax and enjoy the tranquility surrounding us. Service was great and they value your visit. Sandra: This place was quite a surprise. Firstly, my family and I walked into Carmen hoping to snatch a table for an early dinner. Well, with no reservation that plan backfired.Thankfully, the staff suggested Moshi. Moshi serves Japanese cuisine, and is nestled inside Carmen. I ordered the tasting menu w/cocktails and it was an amazing meal. This review was long over due, one year to be exact, and I can’t recall all of the dishes. However, if you’re a foodie and appreciate small surprises in every dish, then I recommend the tasting menu.

Another couple walked out after not getting their order taken, I was observing and being optimistic. She apologized for ignoring us and made up for it with kind words :0) and giving us updates for when it was coming out. She got my order wrong so I had to wait additional time for my food to get prepared as the rest of the table ate. The agua fresca was delicious, we mixed lulo y maracuyá, Muy rico. And my plate was good but my folks ordered carne asada and they reported that it was tough. The restaurant was packed with locals but There are tons of other restaurants in the neighborhood. This street has lots to offer. We spent all evening and night walking around. Lots to do :0)

A Chambers: I couldn't wait to try this place based on past reviews from more than a year ago. It was beautiful inside. The wait staff was very friendly and kind. I took beautiful pictures inside of the restaurant and had a nice table. My reservation was for 9:30pm, although I arrived earlier and was immediately seated. I ordered a sangria, which took forever to come. It was watered down wine with lots of chopped apples and zero flavor. I ordered the lobster empanadas and the garlic crab and shrimp. Service was extremely slow for such a small venue. It wasnt very packed in there when I arrived ao I didnt understand what took so long. I remained patient. Once the empanadas arrived, they were not hot as if freshly prepared. It took forever so I assumed they were making everything from scratch. The empanadas were lukewarm, at best. My major disappointment came when the entree arrived. It looked completely unappetizing. It appeared to be completely uncooked. The shrimp was still gray and raw. The cauliflower bites were overcooked and very hard. The crab fingers were extremely small and also overcooked. This dish was not edible. I returned the dish as I have an allergy to uncooked seafood. Upon sitting the server asked if there were any allergies so I thought they would have taken that into consideration prior to bring out this dish. She apologized and the manager came to also apologize. They replaced it with the fish of the day. Unfortunately, I was disappointed again because it also came out overcooked and underseasoned. The coconut rice accompaniment was extremely dry and hard. It also lacked flavor. I typically order dessert with my dinner, but I didn't want any further disappointments. I asked for the check. After paying the tab and leaving, I learned that they no longer had the same chef as before. This might explain why the food wasn't appetizing and lack a balance of flavors, which is what I was expecting.

This was our first time in Colombia (visiting from USA) and I am so glad we spent our 5 nights here.LOCATION: Getsemaní turned out to be such a fun neighborhood to stay in. Lots to eat, see, and experience. It felt safe.SAFETY: The front door of the hotel is locked at all times, and you knock to enter. The room door opens with key card and has a safety lock inside. A locked safe is provided.ROOM: The room was good! It wasn't over the top, but definitely spacious enough for two people. The mini split worked incredibly well. The bathroom is large and the plumbing was good (no issues with hot and cold water). Comfortable bed, cleans sheets and towels every day, shampoo + soap + conditioner provided (bring your own face wash, lotion, and wash cloth if you use these items). No bugs (besides a few mosquitos in the lobby area). Quiet, clean, cool, comfortable!WINDOW: many of these reviews say that they didn't like that there wasn't a window. This was a good thing, in my opinion. Getsemaní is LOUD at night and I am a light sleeper. The window to the courtyard let some light in, but the city sound was completely masked in our room. You don't need a great view because you'll go out to explore! Plus, the rooftop pool, bar, and view are all incredible!STAFF: Everyone was INCREDIBLY KIND! They were attentive, and able to answer any question we had. Big smiles, fruit-infused water, help carrying luggage, welcome drinks, etc).BREAKFAST: The breakfast staff were also very kind and helpful. The food was the same every day (fruit, granola, yogurt, basics) and changed every day (oatmeal, waffles, pancakes, pudding, etc). They also make eggs however you want (scrambled, fried, etc with all the fixin's). Coffee, juice, all so good! I loved eating and people watching out of the window.Overall it was an incredible stay! The only thing I will warn is that the airport transportation is a taxi that they'll call for you if you ask. This is overwhelming if you're new to Colombia and your Spanish isn't great. We got scammed on the way to the hotel, having to pay the taxi driver x4 what it should have cost (20-30 pesos is about right). But this obviously wasn't the hotel's fault, and it's still not that much money at all!In my opinion, it is safe to book your stay with Casa Canabal!

Iulia Milea: A beautiful hotel in the heart of Cartagena, the rooms are apacious and clean, the spa is great and they even have bicycles for guests to borrow.

Emily Shamburger: I stayed here for three nights in March with my husband. We booked a "deluxe room" which was located on the second floor. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, they were definitely the highlight of the hotel, especially the young man who helped with luggage and breakfast (it's been a month and I forgot his name) but he always went above and beyond, including running with me and my luggage to a corner to catch a cab when we were leaving town. The hotel is really beautiful and is very centrally located in Getsemani but only a couple minutes walk to the walled city. The little pool up top was nice for a dip on a hot day and the staff would pop right up if you wanted to order a drink. The breakfast was good with fruit, yogurt, toast, juice, coffee, and eggs to order (though I think they stopped serving at 9 which was a little early for us). The rooms were well-appointed and the bathrooms nice and big. My biggest complaint about the place is that there were no external windows except into the hallways/interior areas of the hotel. I believe that the price of the hotel reflects this as it is a very good value for what you get and the location, and since we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, it was ok for a short trip.Posibilidad de caminar: Great central location for exploring the walled city and Getsemani.

Most of the staff (besides those working in the restaurant) could care less about providing a great experience. Was provided a room with no windows, while construction was taking place. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere!

El hotel es precioso y el servicio inmejorable por parte de las personas del restaurante y recepción; lastimosamente en el momento del check out los datáfonos no servían y el gerente se acercó a decirme que podía consignarle el día de mañana sin problema, yo de igual forma insistí en buscar dejar pago y le dije que podía hacer una transferencia pero al ser de otro banco fue engorroso y finalmente no lo logré a lo que le dije que entonces le consignaba al llegar porque tenía un vuelo con el tiempo encima, un carro afuera esperando y llevaba casi 25 minutos tratando de resolver un problema que fue del hotel, de un momento a otro se acabo la cortesía de este señor y me dijo que debía dejar pago ya! que buscara un cajero… mando al recepcionista a qué me llevará a buscar un cajero y me tocó salir a caminar lejos del hotel a sacar plata en efectivo arriesgándome porque la zona no es que sea muy agradable y tras del echo después no tenían cambio y ahí fueron otros 10 minutos.La queja va a la falta de servicio de esta persona, esto puede pasar y siempre buscan facilitarle a uno las cosas y más cuando la culpa fue del hotel. Casi pierdo mi vuelo y me hicieron pasar un mal rato. Que lastima que una sola persona haya dañado el esfuerzo de todo un equipo y me haya quedado este sin sabor ya que el lugar me había encantado y pensaba volver pero después de esto no.Señor gerente: usted no está atendiendo una caja de compensación como para que trate a los huéspedes de manera despectiva y piense que uno va con la intención de no pagarle… aprenda de servicio!
