Jared Kolka: Perfect food and very swift/sweet/amiable service. I have not seen any place in Cartagena so lovingly treat all of its guests. I could only give it four stars for the atmosphere since I was near the front and it's a squashed sort of spot, but I would give ten stars for the food and twelve for the service!

I showed the girls working and they didn't care at all, which leads me to believe they did it on purpose. Kind people don't blend plastic into someone's drink. The worst part is that I drank half before realizing.

The really bad thing about the place are the waiting times, worst experience in Cartagena, more than 1 hour and 30 minutes until they serve the food. Seed's & Root's: Cartagena tiene una gran variedad de lugares de todo tipo que pueden representar una buena alternativa a la hora de comer, pero en realidad encontrar un lugar hermoso y en el centro, con buena atención, buenos platos, y en general con un ambiente genial, es muy difícil de conseguir... La verdad es que Guatila nos encantó por el carisma de la gente que atiende y está muy bien ubicado, el restaurante está dentro de un hostal también de muy buena energía y atendido por su propietario.Nosotros recomendamos este sitio seguramente 100% porque el tiempo se te pasa volando.Platos vegetarianos: Tienen opciones veggie también deliciosas.

Kathleen Becker: This was definitely our most unique dining experience while we were visiting Cartagena. Lots of interesting foods prepared and served in ways we’d never heard of before. The staff and service were excellent. We felt the food was just okay; we enjoyed many other meals we had in Cartagena more than our meal at Celele. In addition, both my friend and I contracted terrible food poisoning after eating here. Just a word of caution for future guests. Even though it seems like ours was an unusual incident, we were very sad to have spent our last days of vacation and our flight home being very ill.

Antonio Toro: No es como la pintan, la comida es aceptable, pero el servicio fue horrible, no te atienden bien, los platos no caben en la mesa, hay muchísimo ruido en el restaurante. El mesero que nos atendió fue muy grosero, cobraron mal la cuenta y no quisieron arreglarla. Cobraron elementos que no estaban en la carta y se excusaron en que estaban estrenando carta y tenía un error, pero de todas maneras nos hicieron pagarlo… para rematar, le advertimos al mesero que tenía intolerancia a un alimento y lo ignoró completamente, dos de los platos llegaron llenos de este ingrediente.En resumen, el mesero fue muy grosero y poco atento. Tenía mucha ilusión por el lugar pero tristemente no regresaré.

Aaron X: This was, by far, the best meal I have eaten in Colombia. The service, quality of ingredients, and dish execution were great. At first, I thought the server mistakenly brought me someone's dessert, but prawns were indeed hiding below the flowers and coconut milk snow. As a party of one, two appetizers and one main dish left me with the perfect degree of fullness. At this point in time, my favorite restaurants south of the border are Pujol in CDMX and Celele.

This is my second time coming here and I really like the place but the service is not the best as some of the waiters are not friendly and they are not very accommodating. With that being said, I did enjoy the food the two times that I went. One of the plates that I ordered was not of my liking and I was offered a different dish which was really delicious.The drinks were really great. The dinner costed about $70 for 2 appetizers, one entree and 2 cocktails and a soda. The Atmosphere was really nice and there was a live band playing. Dancers also performed while we were there.

RAY BROWN: This place is over rated for its service! Food quality is good. My issue started when we got done eating and they took our leftover food back to the kitchen. My daughter spoke to her in Spanish that we need all the leftovers. The waitress brought the bags back and said all the food was in the bags. When we checked, two of the leftover food were missing. THE WAITRESS LIED TO US AND WENT INTO HIDING! She told us she would be back. We waited 20 minutes. She sent another waiter to give us the check which we paid. Another 10 minutes went by and my wife went to find the manager Guillermo who also admitted that he knew about the situation and refused to come to our table. We had to go find him. He is the worst manager in the restaurant industry in Cartagena and this is the reason the people under him are liars just like he is. He should be fired for not being honest with us. Be careful of the dishonesty in this establishment!!

David Pointer: We were a group of seven and although the restaurant was busy they moved a few tables around to accommodate us. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. We all had something different from the menu, everything was served at the same time, no-one was left waiting for their meal. The food was delicious, the service impeccable and value for money for the quality of food outstanding.

Rob: I recently dined at a Sierpe Cocina Caribe in Cartagena and had a mixed experience. The ceviche stood out as a delightful dish, bursting with refreshing flavors. The staff was attentive and provided good service, creating a pleasant atmosphere. However, I found the crab hamburgers to be lacking balance in their flavor profile, which affected my overall enjoyment. Additionally, the Arroz Meloso had a strong flavor, making it a bit overwhelming as a main course. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to fine-tune the flavors and proportions of these dishes for a more satisfying dining experience. Nevertheless, I appreciate the efforts put into delivering a pleasant ambiance and commend the staff for their attentiveness.

Chinedu Opara: I met up with a handful of new acquaintances here at Sierpe Cocina Caribe, in the Getsemani tourist zone of Cartagena, Colombia. The ambiance was nice because we got there around 7pm, and it wasn't too busy. Also - and this is important - the music/noise level was LOW. We didn't have to shout at each other to be heard, nor did we have to take headache medicine.We had squid, crab salad, multiple alcoholic drinks, fish, potatoes, and plantain chips. Hell, one of the dishes was literally on fire, haha! None of the food was bland, it was all tasty (not spicy but definitely flavorful), and we had a good time! Especially when an older Dutch couple showed up and engaged me in a little excited travel conversation.Keep in mind: the menu doesn't indicate that the Crab Salad (which is what) has cheese on it. So when it came covered in cheese, I had to send it back (I am severely lactose intolerant). The waiter seemed annoyed but gracious. I showed him that the menu does NOT say it comes with cheese (so it wasn't my fault). To their credit, I was not charged for it.I also had a margarita and another sweet alcoholic drink, both of which were quite good!When the meal was over, they brought us SEPARATE CHECKS. Now that's SMART RESTAURANT SERVICE (you almost never see that Common Sense move in Colombia). The waiter definitely earned his tips!

Had the tuna tartare served at the right temperature, cazuela de mariscos full of flavor and plentiful, fried fish en zumo de coco cooked perfectly and most important fresh. Service was good and speed of service as expected for real food cooked to order. Will definitely return.

Dee Lee: They are colorist and maybe racist. We could not even get water. Unacceptable. We asked for water 3 times but got nothing! Meanwhile across the aisle three waiters working nonstop. We waited 40 minutes for an appetizer and 30 minutes for water. Then we received literally a glass of warm water. Food and service great if you are the right color.
