Tienes la oportunidad de aprender sobre los platos de Colombia y de dónde provienen sus influencias. Jasmine está bien informada y comparte ese conocimiento contigo. La clase también es una gran oportunidad para conocer, cocinar y comer con gente nueva que también está disfrutando de la ciudad.
Sujay PS: Fantástica vista, servicio y comida sabrosa! Puedes ver al Castillo de San Felipe sentado dentro de la sala de aire acondicionado después de caminar afuera en el clima cálido. Los servidores son comida amable y sabrosa. Lo que pedimos era vegetariano, pero también hay muchas opciones de mariscos y carnes. En general, lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Joe Rivera: David is most definitely a Coffee Master. My wife and I did the coffee course. It was informational and eye opening to say the least. The real deal on coffee. It’s mostly about preference and now knowing so much more about the bean and grounds I now have my preference.Evelyn was awesome too in keeping David on point. The tour was in English which was much appreciated. Thank you David & Evelyn for such a wonderful time.Heads up. You must book the experience ahead of time as this is a VIP treatment.

Fe Breer: The place is beautifully decorated and makes the appearance of a great place to have a coffee or two. They also say in the menu that they include some of their cake or cookies with every hot coffee, which is an interesting concept that could justify the high price of the drinks. However...they didn't bring any of that with the coffee by themselves. And when we asked for it, the waitress wasn't sure if they were even doing it anymore - and eventually brought us some dry salty cookies that did not go well with the coffee. The cappuccino itself was decent, but not a revelation. All in all, our visit was unfortunately a disappointment.
AT 2022: Unfortunately we got scammed here. Usually when you order coffee in a Chemex it’s for two people and at least (!) two cups. Here you only get one cup but pay 5€ for it which is an insane price for Cartagena. Also we asked if it’s possible to order a chocolate drink without cake since in the menu there was only a combo option available. Turned out that it’s the same price when you order it with or without cake which they didn’t tell us. The coffee was ok though but a bit tasteless and definitely not worth 5€ when you can get it everywhere for half the price or less. Unfortunately this was our worst experience in Cartagena so we would not recommend going here unless you want overpriced coffee/ chocolate and bad service

De hecho el sitio se llena mucho: si quieres desayunar hay que llegar sobre 8:30am (a partir de las 9:00 no suele haber mesas). Estabamos alojados en el hotel Casa del Arzobispo, donde está alojado el restaurante, con lo que hemos hecho unas cuantas comidas, cafés y cockteles :). El servicio todos muy majos y atentos! We then ask for the bread, again and we only got 2 pieces for my plate but none for my partner that ordered the eggs cooked in sauce so was kinda of a necessary part of it.We asked again and the waitress said that was on its way but will it take 5 to 10 min, 15 min later still no bread so we shared mine and ate it cold.When we got our bill we still got charged for the bread we never had but the staff was nice and re printed the correct one , it might have been a misunderstanding, happens. Brady Wright: We had just got back from the Rosario islands, and we were exhausted from the long days in the heat and water. Coming here was just what we needed and to say it quite frankly, it blew away all of my expectations. The rooftop was amazing. The view of Cartagena took our breaths away. The pool there was very nice and big compared to the other hotels that we have stayed at in Cartagena. Everything was clean, well-kept, and smelled great. The bedroom was equipped with a great air conditioner which was immensely refreshing after a long day in the unbearable heat of the city. The bed was extremely comfy and we all slept great. The following morning, breakfast was exceptional and we were more than ready to confront the day ahead of us. Also, they kept the front door locked and hidden to ensure the safety of the guests. We felt very safe in this building. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Cartagena, say no more and book this hotel. Truly amazing.

Nathan: This was a really cool hotel to stay at. You feel like you are just surrounded by history. Walking distance to just about everything and very safe. All the good restaurants, bars, clubs, coffee shops, museums and anything else you need near by. The hotel staff was very nice and very accommodating. They made sure that we had everything we needed. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was fantastic! Spent the early mornings and late evenings walking around exploring, but the middle of the day just chilling by the rooftop pool sipping on the local cervezas. I would definitely stay here again.

Alissa Weinman: My friends and I stayed in a Deluxe room for 3 nights on the way back from Tayrona — to say we LOVED Casa Claver is to put it lightly. The hotel itself is so beautiful — from the plants in the lobby area to the downstairs pool to the incredible rooftop. We spent a good amount of time lounging on the rooftop pool taking in Cartagena, and also used it as a great hangout area before going out.The room itself was perfect for 3, but definitely could have fit 4 comfortably. The AC in the Cartagena heat was a godsend for us and the natural light made the room even better.As far as location, it was the perfect place to stay in the Walled City. It was a less than a ten minute walk to some of the must-sees in the area and a 13 minute walk to Getsemani.On top of everything, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating to us as travelers. I’d definitely stay here again!

Alexandra Dékány: The good: The location is the absolute best. Everything—things to see/do, restaurants, shops—is within walking distance and it’s only about a 15 min drive from the airport (waking up at 6am and being able to wander around in the *empty* old city is priceless!). I want to give extra credit to the staff who are kind, helpful, attentive and they do their best! There are two pools—one inside and one on the rooftop. The rooftop area has a stunning view of the city. We got a standard double room on the first floor. Mini fridge in the room and closet to unpack clothes. Breakfast is included and it has to be ordered the day before for a specific time for the next morning. No buffet. Food is really delicious, the cooks are great.The not-so-good: there was no bottle water offered in the room, even though it would’ve been a nice touch and every other hotel offered it. WiFi barely works. The room looks right at the indoor pool and people obviously walk around there all the time which means zero privacy, unless you keep the roller shades down. For the same reason it’s not a quiet room either. There isn’t enough shelf space around the sink to keep toiletries there. Aisha Batista: Stayed in Cartagena for 5 days.. We were hotel hopping to just get a feel for where we’d like to stay next time we come back to Colombia and this property was the best. The room was large, clean, and quiet. We had our own bathroom and our beds were both king sized. We had included breakfast delivered to our room which was also very delicious! We had the choice to choose from four different types of breakfasts, so so so nice. I really enjoyed the pool/rooftop. All it’s missing is a bar but overall the pool was so refreshing and perfect for the Cartagena heat. I am definitely coming back here. Also most importantly… there is so much nearby you can walk to.. I was going to stay at an Airbnb further away from the walled city but I’m glad I didn’t. I had friends who were staying there and they had to cab it everywhere because there was not many options close by. Everything was residential. I like being able to just walk outside and get some dinner options.I really loved this boutique hotel! Thanks for the amazing hospitality. I wish I would have stayed longer but the price went up like crazy after the 1st night so I went elsewhere… If you didn’t know, Cartagena is crazy busy in January due to holiday celebrations all month. Mary P: I think we got the smallest room in the entire hotel. Our room in way smaller than expected from the website. It’s on the 4th floor and very near the lovely pool which is really nice. The excellent breakfast is included and is absolutely amazing. They will even deliver it to your room balcony - which is necessary as there is no place to set it down inside your room. We ran into a few other minor issues: the door to the unit when closed still bangs in the wind and makes a loud knocking sound. We fixed that by filling the ice bucket with water to make it heavy and pushed it against the door to keep it in place. There’s not enough outlets for your phones so we had to unplug the clocks. There is NO ROOM whatsoever for toiletries in the bathroom. Most of my bath items are in my travel bags on the floor. The 2 bath towels are pretty scratchy. There were no hand towels. However, I would still recommend this place because of the views, the nice staff, the incredibly excellent breakfast, and the beautiful pool, and the fact that most of the rooms are larger than this one. If you want a larger room be sure you know what you are getting. The website indicated a very large king room with a large bathroom. This is not that. If you don’t mind such a small room, then this is just perfect.

Mike Smith: We visited here because of the good reviews, but felt very misled! The lattes and cappuccinos tasted nothing like coffee. Too sweet, little or maybe no espresso, just not right. The food was also off. The egg dishes seemed like they were thrown in a microwave and didn't taste fresh at all. The oatmeal just a few oats at the bottom of a cup of cold milk. Everything was served using disposable products even though we ate at the shop, and the quality of those items was terrible. The fork prongs all broke off in our food, and left us digging through it to make sure we wouldn't eat the plastic spikes. Ugh... it was rough. We ended up going to Tienda Cafe Tabor de Montaña to satisfy our coffee fix.
