Fortísimo Escola & Orquestra: Los sandwiches son ricos, el ambiente muy chévere y tranquilo, el servicio es cercano y amable. Es un buen sitio para ir en familia o solo si necesitas hacer algo antes de ir a casa o encontrar un lugar tranquilo para vídeo llamadas alguna reunión o cosas asi. Lo único que no me gustó fue la limonada, no sé si es que la tienen prefabricada, o qué pero, no me gustó mucho

cristian sc: This place is amazing. Why? Because the sandwiches are very fresh, crispy, the taste and flavor is good, not too dry not too juicy, just perfect. And they have few vegetarian options as well. Also the person that served me she was very kind and pleasant, she also talks good English and made my experience great with her helpful attitude. The prices are also reasonable.I had there Caprese sandwich and Berenjena Parmesana and french fries. Definitely a place to have a delicious sandwich and more.

Ebone Hamilton: Went here for our first dinner during our vacation. Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff! Our waiter was great and gave good recommendations (Omarres?). Had tropical ceviche and fried squid for starters. The cocktails were well-made but my fave was the spicy daisy cocktail which was delicious! We had the seafood rice and Cartagenera mojarra for our entrees and both were amazing! The view from the patio with live music made the overall experience even better! Reservation recommended.

Pierre F.: Extremely rude staff. Was recommended this place by my hotel. No mention of any dress code whatsoever on their website or booking confirmation. They wouldn’t let me in because I am wearing a tank top. Meanwhile inside women are wearing bras.I don’t know why they think in the 21st century wearing a shirt makes you more classy, particularly for a city by the sea in the Caribbean.Go to restaurant celele instead. Lawanda Chestnut: So happy me and my group chose to eat here. The service to start off was awesome from start to finish, nothing weird like we got during the rest of the trip but that is another story. The food was DELICIOUS and well portioned. I got the oxtail mushroom rice and was not what I was expecting at all...it was BETTER and creative and last it is on the small party street so be careful, both cab drivers dropped us off in different locations not knowing where they were going. Please try this place the inside was also beautiful and clean.

La paella tenía un pelo y una vez lo observamos le mostramos a la mesera y procedió a retíralo de la mesa. No obstante al final nos lo facturaron a pesar de tan penosa situación. Sabemos que no es un acto premeditado pero no puede ser que facturen un plato que ni si quiera terminamos de comerlo. Nos ofrecieron un postre gratuito y lo aceptamos, pero ni si quiera el chef ni el administrador nos preguntaron por la situación. Muy mal para un restaurante tan exclusivo. Lamentable!!. Liya Angel: We had the chefs testing here. Some of the dishes were great while others were just fine. The ambience is excellent. The staff was excellent as well. The beverage pairing was an interesting choice given it was called the wine pairing, but it was not all wine, which can throw you off. Some interesting cocktails made with local fruits were serve though which I’m glad we got to try.

Manav Khandelwal: Our favorite meal in Cartagena by far! The setting was beautiful with an outdoor courtyard and indoor air conditioned tables. The service was fast and generous; they brought us an extra small appetizer and an extra dessert that were both fantastic and on the house. For food, we loved everything we got: the ceviche, the Al pastor tacos, the burrata salad, the brisket, and the pork belly. Everything was just out of this world especially the pork belly. Portions are fairly even between entradas and mains.
J. Savage: Carmen is not safe place for people of color. I was shocked and saddened by my recent visit to Carmen of Cartagena . It was especially disappointing since we had a positive dining experience at theMedellin location. We knew weren’t welcome from the minute we entered the restaurant. The female hostess made it clear from the moment we walked in the door that we weren’t welcomed there. I was shocked and sadden because Carmen highly recommended. I was in awe because she was a women of color. America has it issues, but it is rare that i am disrespected by someone that looks like me. I want my racism the good ole fashion American way by folks that don’t look like me. I recommend that people of color patronize establishments where your money is welcomed. This is not Carmen of Cartagena. Kudos, to Mar y Zielo for getting it right. Also, kudos to the male host that tried his best to accommodate our party. I would return if I could deal with him. Again, avoid Carmen of Cartagena. Stick to the the one in Medellin.

Johanna Villegas: I visited during rainy season, so beware- it can be quite hot in the evenings. The restaurant provides bug spray but when making your reservation, their system does not specify that you may choose from an Air conditioned area or not. Keep this in mind and ensure you follow up with the restaurant to ensure you get the area you want.Overall, the service was fabulous. The food was good enough. I will not be back but I recommend you check it out at least once.

David Aguero Lorenzo: Le pongo una estrella porque no me deja ponerle 0,compramos tres botellas de agua y nos cobraron 5,además las botellas de agua que supuestamente eran de "manantial" nos encontramos a dos chicos rellenando las botellas y sellandolas en el grifo del lavabo para después venderlas,ahora por si culpa estoy con problemas intestinales sin poder salir de casa. Y encima tienen la jeta de hacer poner a los hombres un trapo de cuadros en las piernas porque no podíamos ir con pantalones cortos y a las mujeres NADA.En fin esto me parece un completísimo insulto de parte de este restaurante y algo que definitivamente no olvidaré de Cartagena.(menos mal que el chico que nos atendió era amable porque sino si que sería pésimo)

Carlos Guerra: Un lugar único en el mundo, la atención de Juliana lo más destacable, la comida perfecta tome un carpacho de atún en su punto, muy fresco y con notas dulces, no recomiendo limón. Michael C. Delapena: This restaurant was highly recommended by the manager at my hotel with the warning that they have a dress code that doesn't allow shorts. I only brought shorts so I went to a mall and bought a pair of Colombian jeans. The restaurant is in a beautiful historic district in the walled section of the city. Our servers were very attentive. I selected the shrimp ravioli. Great dish! My partner a seafood risotto which was very tasty. We started with an octopus appetizer which was outstanding. The meal ended with flan for dessert. The place also has live music and the band was pretty good. I'd probably give them 5 stars if I didn't have to buy pants to eat there.

Gretchen Grimaldos: Worst service I’ve EVER experienced. We had eaten here in the past and the food was decent (although not memorable) but they did have music so during our next trip we decided to give it a second try with 5 of our family members. We made reservations 3 months in advance and got dressed up for a nice night out on the town. When we arrived we were turned away (despite our name being on the reservation list) because my son was a minor. When we called to make a reservation this “rule” wasn’t mentioned. Luckily for us there are a PLETHORA of restaurants with better food, service, and atmosphere than La Vitrola so our Sunday night actually turned out better than if we had eaten at this discriminatory establishment.
