Instead of following a line for who gets to go upstairs, they’ll let their friends(?) and couples first. If you’re with a bigger group, forget about it. Which is insane bc we would have brought the most money. And when you question they’re super rude! They tried telling me it was bc I had gotten there only 15min prior. Hm, no sir! I have eyes and saw all these ppl who just got here after us get upstairs before us. And again, being super rude and condescending. Anyway, I left and then had a blast at Invissa (super recommend instead of this overtly hyped place).

I've travelled to many countries and tried out hundreds of different bars. This one takes the cake. My favorite drink here is the "Rosarito." It is arguably the best cocktail i've had!The staff is super accommodating and the drinks are sublime.

Alison Rooney: Highly recommend visiting El Baron when you re in Cartagena. Great drinks and food. I tried one of the special cocktails. Service was attentive and everyone there looked after the guests. You can outside on the plaza or inside. It is one of “must go” spots.
Steven Heath: We had a great time at El Baron tonight. Angel was our waiter and was so outgoing and kind as he explained the menus and made suggestions on what we should order. He has a great background story of how he came to be in Cartagena from his hometown as well.We ordered a couple of tapas - Ceviche de la Casa and Croquetas de Res. We liked both but were especially enjoyed the Croquetas. The drinks were great as well. They have a wide selection of options.There is only a small inside section but a large outdoor seating area if there’s nothing available inside. The only benefit of inside is the air conditioning.

Rod Thompson, MD: Ambience on 1000. I roll up with my crew and there's a table with a table-sized church sign with my name on it. Ok. Next level. The rum and chocolate tasting experience was an excellent touch. The food was exquisite. The service was outstanding, with friendly and very helpful (and patient) staff. It's a good environment when the whole staff is always smiling, you can tell they enjoy working there. So kudos to management. Highly recommend checking this place out. Make your reservations early though!

Danny K: This is a tough one for me. The hotel seems like a nice little boutique hotel, however, we visited for a Sunday brunch. Apparently, the best feature is the rooftop, and unfortunately, brunch was inside due to some rain. Small and cozy restaurant space, however, the music was WAY too loud! Service started off great, but went downhill quite quickly. The brunch is done in a tapas style, which is quite unique and was enjoyable. Food was very good, however, it took quite some time to come out. Overall, I’d definitely go again, but only if the rooftop is open. There’s no way I could sit through a meal again with the volume they played the music. Hopefully service improves for the next time too.

Gabrielle Marie: While I did not stay at Townhouse, my husband and I enjoyed their rooftop bar one evening when we were in Cartagena. This was one of our favorite places for cocktails and nachos! Everything is very well priced, the atmosphere is super trendy, and the nachos are probably some of the best I have ever had. The rooftop over looks the city, so do yourself a favor by ordering a drink and some apps while watching the sunset. It is absolutely breathtaking.

A v: Nice rooftop, but music ridiculously loud for an outdoor bar. You're not doing anyone a pleasure with this (guests, staff or neighbours)! Highest indoor floor has a good vibe but was freezing cold (why oh why). Staff not that attentive.
Paul Sebastián: Excellent environment !!Good music, good drinks, good show and the place is very nice, especially its terrace.
Diego Nicolás Arévalo Buitrago: The worst club in the whole world. Even making a reservation, the attention was absolutly awful, everything quite expensive and the attention beyond bad.

Elise Lemmens: Lovely spot with several levels of rooftop views. The music and ambiance was nice. Inside they played salsa music. On the terrace they had a DJ who played disco/pop first and reggaeton later. We tried two signature cocktails for 33.000 each, which were both great!

I had a basil gin cocktail that was unlike anything I had ever tried before and the paloma wasn't too sweet, it was perfect. Great atmosphere and inventive selection of drinks. I wish we tried the food (it looked delicious) but it's a really fun upscale bar in Cartagena!

We also ordered a board of cold meats that brought the same bread with the tomato, garlic and onion chopped and raw, with an unpleasant taste. The sausages were good. Regular service, the waiter did not know the menu well and when we asked to call the chef to present the complaint about the bread with that raw tomato, garlic and onion hash, the waiter made an excuse that the chef had left.

L D: This is my favorite restaurant in Cartagena. Every time I go, it is an amazing experience. The food is delicious and prepared expertly. The service is friendly and attentive (Jorge and Karen were amazing). The breezes are delightful as you are seated on the second floor in open air (covered)...and there are large fans during the hotter months....and a perfect view of the Castle! It is an amazing place!!Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options, both as tapas and mains.
