erika samaniego: It was kind of chaotic and smelled like urine, the government could preserve it a little better. A lot of cars parked and driving right in front of it, it would be so much nicer if the little street right in front of the structure was a walkable street to make it more tourist friendly. If we decided to walk inside the bóvedas (to avoid the cars) we were faced with people trying to sell us stuff. We just wanted to peacefully walk, admire and take pictures without having to be rude and ignore people or saying “No gracias” every minute. The structures are nice if you already know the history behind it. My boyfriend, who doesn’t really care about history, thought it was boring and dirty. I liked it but could be better preserved.

Jay Clemmey: The Sanctuary takes you through the history of San Pedro Claver who dedicated most of his life to evangelizing slaves in Cartagena during the 1600’s. He was canonized as a saint in 1888 by Pope Leo XIII.You can spend a good hour or so touring the church, garden, artwork, and the rooms where Claver lived and worked. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in Cartagena.

Alessio Astolfi: I had the chance to visit the Santuario de San Pedro Claver during a trip to Cartagena, Colombia, some ten years ago, and it was definitely an incredible experience. I am a person who has a great love for history and culture, therefore I was very taken aback by this sanctuary's significant past.In the centre of Cartagena's historic area, the Santuario de San Pedro Claver is a beautifully maintained Jesuit church and convent from the 17th century. It bears the name of Saint Peter Claver, a Jesuit priest of Spanish descent who dedicated his life to assisting slaves who were taken from Africa to Cartagena. The sanctuary provided these slaves with food, shelter, and medical attention while acting as a haven for them during a trying moment in history. It was a significant symbol of compassion and hope.The Santuario de San Pedro Claver's architecture is extremely stunning. The facade's exquisite detailing and elaborate designs are evidence of the architects' and artisans' expertise and craftsmanship. The sanctuary's interior is as breathtaking, featuring magnificent murals, pieces of art, and sculptures that depict Saint Peter Claver and his contributions to humankind.The opportunity to view Saint Peter Claver's relics, which are stored in a small room inside the sanctuary, was one of the pleasures of my trip. The saint's skull and bones are among the relics, which serve as a potent reminder of the sacrifices he made during his life and the influence he had on countless others.Overall, anyone with an interest in history, culture, or spirituality should definitely pay a visit to the Santuario de San Pedro Claver. Alexander Pinzon: DANGEROUS... UNRESPONSIBLE... I stayed in this hotel in May, my mother suffered an accident around the pool and this hotel does not have trained personnel, nor do they have any protocol for these cases. My mom fell silent and lost consciousness for a few minutes and the lifeguard who was nearby brought me a cream to spread. The lack of knowledge in an accident like this is noticeable, an ambulance was never called to immobilize her, I had to pick her up after she fell and take her to the hospital in a taxi. The result of the fall was 3 fractured ribs and a vertebra. So far I have not heard anything from the hotel or from the hotel insurance company. If you are looking for a safe site with a greater sense of responsibility. do not stay at the hilton in cartagena.
Uwe Tropf: Everything excellent. One of the few hotels here with direct beach access and a large pool area. Beach chairs were always available.I got an upgrade to a sea view as a status member.The rooms are clean, modernly furnished, also well equipped for working.Breakfast very rich, especially with the local dishes you can try something new almost every day. Station for omelets and fresh juices.Executive Lounge open from 12pm-8pm with small snacks, fruit, lemonades and coffee maker and staffed 24 hours by 2 friendly staff. 6-8 p.m. there are small warm dishes, starters, desserts, beer, red wine and white wine. It wasn't overcrowded except for the weekend and has a very nice view.You can walk to several restaurants and bars and stroll through Bocagrande. I also felt safe in the evenings.

Paul Johnson: The Movich rooftop might be one of the best views in the old city of Cartagena and probably worth a visit particularly for a sunsetHowever be prepared to pay the highest prices in the city for cocktails and they are not very good. Just a shot of vodka or rum will cost 80,000 pesos (~$19 US dollars), which is close to 2x other high end restaurants in the old city.Despite the fabulous view we were shocked by the prices of the cocktails, which spoiled our visit.

But …. 2 very anoying points:1. the music was terrible, loud american pop music. We asked to change the music and they were clueless…. Saying it was the hotel radio. The music is so important for the ambiance, the full city is about salsa and good vibe, I can’t believe they don’t have better music than that to create a vibe.2. The service! We ordered 2 Dry Martini from the menu. The waiter said they can’t do them, they are out of gin. We asked then to replace by vodka. It got extremely complicated. And at the end, they charged double the price, saying they had to charge a shot of vodka (?) to replace the gin in the martini.. we argued, but the manager was rude and not client friendly. A big zero for the service.Unfortunately, although the view is amazing, go for some pictures and get your drinks somewhere else nicer !

HAROLD RANSOM: This place was recommended by our driver and it was spot on. Nice location, with beautiful views. We could see other rooftop bars and it had a view of the Plaza where a public concert was taking place. There is a tiny access to the sea but no beach, we got non-stop bothered by people trying to sell us something and the smell of gasoline from the boats & jetskis was unbearable. Adya Maddox: lots of experiences in Cartegena seem to be based on skin color so going to say that we are a group of five black woman. We came over here for a day trip. They first tried to put too many people on the boat coming over here and wanted 4 people to sit in rows clearly for 3 people. When we arrived to the beach club we were given pretty cold welcomes by staff and it was difficult to get service. Only one of the waitresses was even nice to us so thank you to .. for your service. Everyone else was pretty rude. If you’re going to advertise drinks that come with a meal you need to specify that you can only get the drink that the hotel chooses to give us. That’s called false advertising. In addition it was also stated that the environment would be free from buying pressure. But there was pressure from vendors the whole day and were very disturbing to the peace The whole reason we chose this experience was to have a break from the vendors. So I feel like we overpayed for nothing. Just go to castillogrande and barter with the lanchas to get a fare over to Tierra bomba and go to any chill bar. Way better than wasting money for an experience that was not as advertised. Also Namaste I’d like your establishment to be aware that pesos from Black people and white people are the same so you need to treat us the same. Ridiculous.

Saraí Camacho: El lugar, la ambientación y las actividades me encantaron, realmente se cumplió el objetivo de haber visitado el lugar pero debo comentar también la mala experiencia que nos hicieron pasar al final (qué de verdad alteró, por desgracia, nuestra percepción del sitio) para que las personas que lo visitan y los propietarios del lugar lo tomen en cuentaTodo muy bien, pero al solicitar nuestra cuenta para poder devolvernos, pagamos en efectivo y el personal que estaba en ese momento, rotundamente se negó a recibir el dinero alegando que ellos jamás aceptan efectivo, cosa que en ningún momento se nos informó, ni al reservar, ni al llegar, ni al pedir al restaurant, se trató de hablar para que pudieran cobrarnos y dejar el sitio, su respuesta fue despota y grosera ordenando que “le hiciéramos cómo pudiéramos pero que así eran las cosas y se pagara cuanto antes” Finalmente, de mala gana, nos aceptaron el efectivoHay maneras de comunicarse y creo que está no fue la correcta, menos por la temática y el objetivo que se supone tiene este lugar.Espero lo tomen en cuenta para mejorar. Y quienes lo visitan consideren este punto importante
Gabi Misiuly: I loved staying at Namaste. The yoga, meditation and the fire ceremony was really powerful and grounding. Good choice of food. The staff is friendly and really care about the satisfaction and good experience - but also not too intrusive. I am already looking forward to going back next year for few nights. Also, whoever is complaining about the beach and water - it is true it is not idealistic clear blue water, but still nice blue water. I loved it. The private beach access is nice and looked after. Anna Arutyunova: It was a great experience! We received a very good training in the pool before diving in the sea, the views were beautiful: big fish, coral reefs - like wooow! And the team was so nice and kind! They even took great photos of us! However, I got really scared in one moment. Lots of water went into my glasses and I couldn’t see anything. So I had to go up to the surface from the bottom. Honestly I was very scared when it happened because it’s prohibited to move up or down quickly but I couldn’t control that when it happened. I wish somebody helped me in that moment🙏
Ximena Tagle Casapía: AMAZING!! I do not have enough words to describe my experience with them. I traveled solo to the Rosario islands.All the staff was extremely friendly, they picked me up from my hotel and drop me there afterwards. They even took pictures and videos during the dive without additional costs!! (In other countries they have charged me quite a bit, and per person). Special thanks to Junior for this :)The instructions were in English but also Juan took the time to translate to Spanish and always making sure that everyone in the group was following. They work in small groups so it feels cozy.They explained us what to expect beforehand and had the patience to show us the diversity of the corals in the Rosario National Park.Something that I love is that while diving with them, we are contributing to the conservation initiatives of corals, they promote ecotourism working directly with local communities, and they are part of the program of adaptive scuba for people with disabilities. Highly recommended!!

Hubert Kettenberger: I came here for a package of five dives including a night dive. Everything was very well organized, safe and well maintained. The staff is relaxed, helpful and the dive sites boast a diverse set of marine creatures. Dive master Juan took us on an exciting night dive and showed us a lot of fish, crustaceans and the bioluminescent plankton. His calm and competent nature made this an unforgettable experience.Bonus fact: part of the $$ go into a project of Diving Planet to offer scuba diving for handicapped persons as part of their rehabilitation.

felipe niño: Pretty amaizing experience. Comunication was perfect. Pick up was perfect travel to the island in order. The diving itself was amazing, we went to Isla Grande, not that many fish but hust seeing the corals was amazing, so many different shapes and colors are beautiful to see. The team and diving guide LEA was super friendly and very helpful. The island itself was so amazing to bad we couldnt stay there longer.

But the night dive was incredible! They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel and we were able to watch the sunset out on the water before the night dive. Such a cool experience that I would definitely do again!!
c brown: My Diving Planet divemaster lost me on the dive. This is one of the most serious failures of a dive master. As a result, I was floating in the ocean alone without anyone. I was unable to swim against the current. My life was in danger and I was very worried. In addition, my divemaster did not check my dive belt weights and I was not able to submerge. Our return boat ride back from the Rosario Islands to Cartagena was brutal. If you have a bad back, do NOT take this Rosario Islands dive or snorkel because the boat ride will exacerbate your back pain. While having the opportunity to drive in the wake of another boat to smooth out the ride, the boat driver did not do so.Booked through Cartagena Concierge. They will not help you.

From the attention of Andrés in Cartagena and the guys on the big island - Andrés, Delio, Juan have made these days so great. A modern center, with good equipment and better professionals.
Kim Uittenbosch: We chose a 5 dive package on the Rosario Islands and we really enjoyed it. Very professional run dive outfit with good rental equipment. The boats were big and comfortable. We especially liked the night dive in which we saw a Spanish Slipper Lobster.

Very thing was well organized and the staff were attentive to everyone’s needs. The diving was great. They took us to beautiful sites, the equipment was very good and the groups were small so everyone received attention. There was good and personal attention to every detail from registration to return. It was a complete day and not just a couple dives. We highly recommend Diving Planet and look forward to going again.
John McA: I had an absolutely fantastic day diving with Diving Planet Cartagena. You need to do this. I entered their office and booked a day of scuba diving for the following day. The employees were very helpful and informative. English was spoken. Later that evening I received a message letting know where we were to meet.It took about 1 hour to take their boat from Cartagena to their resort on the Rosario Islands. There we received our gear and a talk about our day ahead. The gear was new. My bc and mask worked great. Our two dives averaged 12-15 meters depth and approxately 40 minutes each. We drifted one reef and circled a second reef. Plenty of fish to be seen. My dive master Leia was knowledgeable and attentive.They served a wonderful lunch afterwards at the resort. Very tasty with a choice for vegetarians/vegans too.If I had the time I'd have gone the next day too.
