Casa Del Arzobispado Hotel: what do users think?
Claudia Patricia Baron: It is a beautiful place with vegetation in the pool. The rooms are very nice and comfortable! The price is according to the place. The decoration is old and very warm.Excellent place to spend a beautiful weekend.
A Quevedo: Great location, clean and safe amazing staffRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Romantic, Quiet, Great value …More
Ixchel Espinosa: The hotel itself is really pretty very colonial and very quiet is in the center so that’s good as well food in the restaurant was always very good and they have great vegan options and good coffee but I was very disappointed to see that my room was so dark like being in a cave I tried to change rooms but nothing else was available for the price that I was paying I expected a nicer room almost and had a window with shutters not able to open so it was all darkness and also that my loved hair brush from Europe disappeared prob in towels or bed sheets during the cleaning. Is a good place if you book the most expensive room in advance.
Izzy: A lovely boutique hotel away from the bustle of Cartagena. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel (we stayed twice to start and end our trip). The rooms are beautiful - spacious, clean and really nicely done up.Breakfast was one of the highlights - Epoca does amazing açai bowls, eggs etc. there’s a wonderful selection and excellent coffees. Lunch was equally delicious and there was a lot of choice. The pool area is lovely and the staff were very accommodating when we arrived at 8am and were hoping to shower after a long flight even though the room wasn’t ready. The facial and couples massage were really excellent too and the spa itself was a very relaxing environment.Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Alonso Rodriguez: Excellent!!!Rooms: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Kristian Råsberg: Great location, great building, great staff!
La Klayman: This is an absolutely charming hotel. I wouldn’t call it luxurious, but it absolutely OOZES charm! Our room was large and spacious with a GORGEOUS ceiling and chandelier. Our little balcony overlooked the street and it was super fun to stand out there and “spy” on people in the street. The beds are comfy even though the pillows are a little bit “meatball-y” for our taste. The staff at the front desk are awesome! Shoutout to Nelson and Daniel (and another lovely young man whose name escapes me). The pool is small but perfect for cooling down after a day of sightseeing. We had massages in the spa and they were extremely relaxing and excellent prices. Very friendly therapists. My husband met one of the family members who own the hotel (Julien) and he regaled him with stories of when it was a family home and they often had visitors and people wanting to stay over and then they transitioned it into a hotel. (Very successfully may I add) The hotel restaurant, Epoca, is only open at this point for breakfast and lunch but the food was great. Especially the huevos divorciados. Demasiado delicioso!! The coffee is good too. The restaurant suggestions from the friendly staff at the front desk were absolutely en point. The value here is great and I will happily stay here again when next we’re in Cartagena. If you’re debating to stay here, just do it. You’ll love it.
Jaime Martinez: Wonderful hotel in the center of old Cartagena. We fell in love with room 102, the charming interior patio with pool and those small boutique hotel gestures that make them so pleasantIf you require any service that the hotel does not have, do not hesitate to ask at reception
Tania Gilbert: The restaurant is highly recommended. A good list of dishes to choose from even vegetarians or vegans and the flavors are very good. The masseuse Sheylla from the Spa is very professional and gives excellent massages! The atmosphere of the hotel is worth it and the staff is very friendly
Leo BS: It’s truly a gem! I felt I was a guest in a beautiful historic family home with all its past grandeur.: magical! the room was comfortable and big with every little detail taken care of. They even changed our Safety Box as soon as we asked. The EPOCA CAFE is perfect to have a delicious breakfast (or more) and Giovanni our waiter was always smiling and so diligent. I would only add extra seating in the little Lounge area: an ottoman next to the white sofa maybe..so a big family can sit down to chat and enjoy the view of the courtyard areaOverall we loved it ! Would definitely go back 😎
john alcides osorio rodriguez: Very special place, for lovers of tranquility combined with its colonial design make it very pleasant, enjoy it. A hug
LA P: Fantastic stay at Casa Del Arzobispado! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean rooms and beautiful courtyard pool. A very relaxing stay. The cafe attached to hotel was wonderful as well- includes daily credit for hotelguest. Would happily return. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Guillermo Gomez: Imposing military fort built in 1657.Admission is not free. The entrance does not include a Guide, you must pay for it. That shows poor management and organization. Tourists want to know the story narrated and told.

Santiago Galindo: Excellent place to learn a bit of history, I highly recommend hiring a guide from those who are outside, they are very friendly and it is good to support.
Sharon Estefany Baquero Hartmann: It is interesting and beautiful to go there. In my case we separated the tour in a chiva and it took us to several places including the Castillo de San Felipe. Everything was perfect 💯

Javier G. Santos: Mixed feelings. The place is living history. In what is now a souvenir shop, you can see the impacts of English muskets. You sit in watchtowers where Blas de Lezo himself designed the defense of Cartagena and, therefore, access to current Latin America from the English invaders. You can look at the sea from the fort defense quote supposed that today the entire south of that continent is Latin and not just another British colony. There, 2,300 Spaniards broke 24,000 English, assuming the end of the English hegemony of the seas... But... It is so full of stupid tourists, taking pictures in every corner, climbing historic canyons that they are forbidden to climb. .. In short, if you are a lover of history, it is a must. But you have to go at noon, when the horde of tourists is crammed. Otherwise, you feel too sorry for what those brave men gave their lives to defend.

Almirante Cartagena Hotel: what do users think?
Estefany Parra Cardona: I think that a few years ago it could be called a 5-star hotel, but currently it is no longer. The photo of the pool is a lie, it's very small, so it's always full and apart from everything they close it at 8 pm. Very regular customer service, mostly from the people who serve breakfast and the bar located by the pool. There are many people offering tours at the entrance of the hotel, very harassing, quite annoying…
philip lawrence: I rate this hotel a Minus 1. I am in Cartagena EVERY 2 months and decided to try the Almirante. WORST thing I could have done. We checked in, me and fiancée, both WITH passports. The day after checking in, the hotel security team rushed the elevator we were using to go to our room and asked my fiancée if she was registered in the hotel, what an embarrassment, other guests looking etc., like we had done something!! THEY ASKED HER THAT BECAUSE SHE IS A COLOMBIANA, SO, THEY, THE SECURITY TEAM, RACIALLY PROFILED HER!! I Spoke to the manager the following morning and demanded they make things right for the embarrassment they had caused us due their inept security team (my fiancée cried the whole night because of what happened with the security team !!) The manager agreed that the hotel was at fault, that the security team never should have done what they did and that they would 'comp' us our room charges for the stay to make things right!!The problem is, THEY DID IT, and they did it because it has been tolerated all along, that is my problem with the whole thing She (hotel manager) fully agreed that what happened NEVER should have happened so, they would make things right.Just today, about 10 days after our trip, I was making another reservation at this hotel (because the hotel manager had, I thought. handled everything professionally) when I received an email from the hotel manager saying that She would not honor the room comp but would adjust an overcharge of about $35 from our prior bill. When I asked WHY, SHE SAID that she Never Agreed to the room comp in our meeting in her office on the day in question (I have emails from her admitting their security teams fault!!!! ) Money is one thing but, lies / integrity are another!!I judge a company by their word which is their integrity and not by the cost of services more times than not. With that being said, I would NEVER recommend this property to anyone as, I do not trust them, totally mis-managed!!!! I stay at the Dan Cartagena ALL THE TIME and have NEVER had any problems of any kind, and the rooms are twice the size with Balcony's and the hotel is ON THE BEACH, no walking to the beach!! DO yourself a FAVOR and run as fast as you can AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL PROPERTY. ALSO, THIS IS ABOUT A 3 STAR PROPERTY, VERY DATED AND VERY SMALL ROOMS (AND WE HAD THE BEST ROOM THE HOTEL OFFERED!! )

They wouldn't let me pass from the Hall but I found out that water got into the room, that the windows were fixed and it was left with a bad smell after a torrential rain. They offered him room change for it. But equally, it is not a 5-star service.

Rooms were not cleaned well.I’m not a picky person but when I walk into new room I expect at least it to be mopped and not have dust and sand on the floor.Having to change reservation or cancel remaining nights due to the poor quality of the hotel and not met expectation is close to impossible

Beige Matthews: Everything about this hotel is absolutely lovely and gorgeous. The location is spectacular and the staff is the best I’ve experienced in a very long time. The grounds are perfect and having Alma as the in-house restaurant is an absolute treat. If you want the boutique feel, but with luxury - no questions asked, this is the place to stay.
Brittany Mitro: We had the most amazing stay at Casa San Agustin. We honestly could not recommend it enough. We were in Cartagena on our honeymoon and this was the perfect choice for us.The staff was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The doorman helped us on numerous occasions when we weren't sure where to go (e.g., when we needed to find an ATM, or find somewhere for lunch) and was always so friendly. The staff at breakfast were also amazing - it always started our day off well (plus the breakfast food was DELICIOUS). The spa staff were also lovely, and the Passion for Life spa treatment was such a good choice - relaxing and romantic! The hotel itself was BEAUTIFUL - the way they use the original architecture (and the old aqueduct!) and created luxury rooms and a beautiful pool area meant we felt like we got a full Cartagena experience. The little library room where they had tea and coffee everyday was a really nice touch as well.We also took the opportunity to spend a day at their private beach property Acasi, which was a great way to see the Rosario Islands and get some beach-time in a relaxed and private venue. We highly recommend doing this if you are looking to venture out that way!Lastly, the location of the hotel was perfect - right in the centre of the walled city, among a range of fantastic restaurants - it really was the perfect choice for us.
Alison Rooney: Just left the property after staying for a week. I booked with FHR. The hotel is beautiful. The design and focus on Colombian history was gorgeous. I loved walking through it to see all of the art and design elements. What worked:Nice room upgrade and I loved the space. Well designed with a Nespresso maker and water provided. Lots of space to relax and a two tvs. The housekeeping was excellent and the room was well cared for. Turn down service was very welcome. The security and front door was always visible and they welcome everyone on arrival. Each person I met was kind and genuinely engaged in their role at the hotel.Breakfast was plentiful and some choices came off better than others. Dinner at Alma was quite good and I would recommend it.What needs work:Prior to arrival, I sent no less than 10+ emails to book airport pick ups, tours and dinners. All the messages went unanswered. I called. No one picked up. I booked my own dinners. For the activities, I wasn’t successful at getting these booked. The staff promised to follow up. Never did.I did a walking tour one day.Other than that, I did my own thing.I spoke with Paola and with Gladys. For some reason, the feedback didn’t make Ny measurable difference. The spa service was good but the manager kept trying to upswell me.Would I stay again?Probably not. I loved Cartagena!
Alexander Tucci: Horrendous Administrative Service - Our inability to reach the hotel led to an unfortunate situation where the administration refused to refund our payment or provide any flexibility for a future visit. It is strongly recommended to stay away from this place under all circumstances.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More

Megan Boling: My boyfriend and I booked a couples massage and it was absolutely incredible! We've both had massages from various places and agreed that this was the best massage we've ever had. The facility was beautiful and immaculate. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Ciaia, Yerenia, and Ludy were amazing and made the morning so special for us. We definitely plan on coming back and hope to be able to stay longer at this hidden gem!
Ganesha Thirumurthi: A truly wonderful hotel. The ambiance is lovely and very peaceful. The staff are incredible - so helpful and kind. Special thank you to Katherine, Andres and Edgar. If you are considering staying here we'd highly recommend it. It lives up to the great reviews.Deep tissue massage in the spa was also wonderful and the setting is very relaxing.I proposed at the hotel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.Highly recommend Casa San Agustin!
