William Tang: I stumbled onto this place while sightseeing in Old Town Cartagena. It's a tiny dive-bar with the tastiest drinks I've had! I've travelled to many countries and tried out hundreds of different bars. This one takes the cake. My favorite drink here is the "Rosarito." It is arguably the best cocktail i've had!The staff is super accommodating and the drinks are sublime.

Steven Heath: We had a great time at El Baron tonight. Angel was our waiter and was so outgoing and kind as he explained the menus and made suggestions on what we should order. He has a great background story of how he came to be in Cartagena from his hometown as well.We ordered a couple of tapas - Ceviche de la Casa and Croquetas de Res. We liked both but were especially enjoyed the Croquetas. The drinks were great as well. They have a wide selection of options.There is only a small inside section but a large outdoor seating area if there’s nothing available inside. The only benefit of inside is the air conditioning.

Rod Thompson, MD: Ambience on 1000. I roll up with my crew and there's a table with a table-sized church sign with my name on it. Ok. Next level. The rum and chocolate tasting experience was an excellent touch. The food was exquisite. The service was outstanding, with friendly and very helpful (and patient) staff. It's a good environment when the whole staff is always smiling, you can tell they enjoy working there. So kudos to management. Highly recommend checking this place out. Make your reservations early though!

Paola Andrea Espinosa Cortés: Triste experiencia.Había venido a este lugar hace varios años y me había encantado, y desde siempre fue un restaurante popular en Cartagena.Volví hoy, lo vi vacío, pensé que era la hora. Entré, lo primero molesto la falta de espíritu de quienes estaban atendiendo, casi les ofrezco atenderlos yo a ellos.La comida, básicamente como si hubieran sido platos hechos ayer guardados en la nevera que sacaron directo al horno y nos los sirvieron.Por ejemplo la entrada un pulpo a la plancha con puré, el pulpo, normal, nada que compita con las miles de recetas deliciosas de pulpo que hay en mil lugares. El puré, sabor a harina.Y por supuesto esta experiencia tan maravillosa fue cobrada precio de restaurante con Estrella Michelin. No regreso.

We had the seafood rice and Cartagenera mojarra for our entrees and both were amazing! The view from the patio with live music made the overall experience even better! Reservation recommended.

Lorena LM: Absolutely amazing hotel, a truly 5-star experience! Staff are incredible and go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. From Jesus welcoming special guests to the mayordomos (thank you Rudy, Diego, Amaury and Armando!) and everyone else in the hotel. The facilities are stunning and full of history and the food is amazing in all restaurants. I highly recommend the restaurant 1621 for amazing fine dining! Can’t wait to go back one day!
Gianluca Mazzanti: Siamo stati al Santa Clara per la nostra luna di miele un totale di 5 giorni a metà giugno 2023. È stata un'esperienza divina: servizio impeccabile, cibo squisito (colazione DA SOGNO) e infrastruttura meravigliosa. Unica pecca la mancanza di chiarezza riguardo il sistema delle mance. In Colombia è usanza lasciare una mancia pari al 10% del totale del conto. Ma non ci hanno spiegato bene che al momento del check out, per ogni notte ci hanno addebitato (con un sistema di mance centralizzato) circa 40€ (!). Il problema è che la mancia comunque dovrebbe essere una cosa volontaria, ma al momento di firmare ogni conto, comunque ti viene chiesto quanto desideri lasciare come mancia... Quindi abbiamo dato mance a ogni pasto, cocktail ecc. e in più ci hanno addebitato quei 40€ per ogni giorno che hanno aumentato cospicuamente il saldo da pagare a fine soggiorno. Comunque sia consigliatissimo!!!!!

Karen McNeill: This place is worth every penny! The people are beautiful, welcoming, and most of all kind. The rooms are a little outdated, but for the most part you don’t spend a lot of time in your room. The hotel has everything you need and it’s conveniently located to shops and restaurants. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate you. I highly recommend this place. They nailed “customer service”! I will return!
