There is a tiny access to the sea but no beach, we got non-stop bothered by people trying to sell us something and the smell of gasoline from the boats & jetskis was unbearable. Food was okay but too expensive, massage was meh and then we got rushed out. Went to other islands further out (eg Rosario) and had a much better time
Adya Maddox: lots of experiences in Cartegena seem to be based on skin color so going to say that we are a group of five black woman. We came over here for a day trip. They first tried to put too many people on the boat coming over here and wanted 4 people to sit in rows clearly for 3 people. When we arrived to the beach club we were given pretty cold welcomes by staff and it was difficult to get service. Only one of the waitresses was even nice to us so thank you to .. for your service. Everyone else was pretty rude. If you’re going to advertise drinks that come with a meal you need to specify that you can only get the drink that the hotel chooses to give us. That’s called false advertising. In addition it was also stated that the environment would be free from buying pressure. But there was pressure from vendors the whole day and were very disturbing to the peace The whole reason we chose this experience was to have a break from the vendors. So I feel like we overpayed for nothing. Just go to castillogrande and barter with the lanchas to get a fare over to Tierra bomba and go to any chill bar. Way better than wasting money for an experience that was not as advertised. Also Namaste I’d like your establishment to be aware that pesos from Black people and white people are the same so you need to treat us the same. Ridiculous.

Gabi Misiuly: I loved staying at Namaste. The yoga, meditation and the fire ceremony was really powerful and grounding. Good choice of food. The staff is friendly and really care about the satisfaction and good experience - but also not too intrusive. I am already looking forward to going back next year for few nights. Also, whoever is complaining about the beach and water - it is true it is not idealistic clear blue water, but still nice blue water. I loved it. The private beach access is nice and looked after. Also, the whole resort is peaceful and you feel connected to the nature - which I really enjoyed. Overall, really good and beautiful experience and looking forward to coming back next year! Also, I don't speak Spanish much. The staff members translated meditation and ceremony - which was really nice. I really appreciated that and now on a mission to learn Spanish haha

Camilo Giraldo: Una muy mala experiencia, estaba en la zona de juguetes y habían varios productos Play-Doh abiertos, mi hermana agarró uno y pues como estaba abierto y roto tocó el slime, cuando íbamos a la salida una vigilante no nos deja salir ya que debíamos pagar por el producto ya que supuestamente uno lo abrió y que estaba nuevo [ella si lo abrió pero nuevo no estaba]. Uno regresa ahí a la zona donde están los Play-Doh y estamos esperando tener Internet para decir que nos mandaran plata ya que en ese momento no teníamos efectivo y le íbamos a avisar a nuestro papá. Y la vigilante se nos acerca, nos pregunta que habíamos abierto y uno le mostró y creo que ella ya sabia que ese Slime ya estaba abierto ya que ella sabía cuales eran los que estaban abiertos. Bueno, nos dijo que si no teníamos plata nos acercaramos a Atención al Cliente que estaba ahí mismo para devolver lo que habíamos comprado para comprar el Slime por algo llamado tarjeta de cambio. Devolvemos los productos pagos y nos hacen cobrar el Slime abierto y roto que mi hermana supuestamente había abierto. Ya al final nos dijeron que como era Slime era más caro y le tuvimos que pedir a una señora que estaba haciendo la fila que nos regalara 500 para poder pagar, pero nos faltaban 2000 que agradezco a la señora por haberlo regalado. Si tienen productos abiertos uno piensa que sería algo de muestra o algo así, ¿por qué no los quitan de ahí?. Vigilante Narvaez te odio, por ti no me pude comer mi Takis. 😔

laura forero: I worked closely with Dina to have two chivas for our pre-wedding event and OMG!! This was the hit of ny wedding. Dina went above abd beyond to make sure we had palanqueras, a papayera group and the animators were so funny and made us all dance like crazy! All my friends were from many parts of the world and this was one of the best experiences they had in Cartagena. The staff was so professional and sweet, the sweets they gave us was delicious and the way they organized everything with a camera guy was flawles! We rented 2 chivas one was more modern and I recommend that one it was spacious and beautiful. We got the traditional chive because I thought people were going to want to sit and I was soo wrong! Get the big one with the full dance floor. Either way it was so so fun the stops were great and they had both chivas be dropped off close to our hotels and the other one in Havana. Thank you Dina and team for one of the greatest nights of my life!

Merly Torrealba: La Chiva rumbera is great, the route is nice, all the guy who cheers up is quite funny, however we found it in bad taste that 5 minutes before getting off the driver started with the microphone to demand and pressure tourists to give him a tip, not even with respect which we did not like because the trip is paid, it is not cheap and if you want to offer a tip, you offer it voluntarily and without pressure! Andrés Giraldo: It is too expensive a price for the benefits, I am Colombian and I wanted to give an all-inclusive a try after having been to Cancun and Punta Cana in all-inclusive hotels. I think they fall very short in all-inclusive service. The room is good but the air conditioning is noisy. Jeanine Lucarelli: I unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with This is Cartagena. I had booked a trip to Blue Apple Beach through this company for a Sunday, i got an email confirming that i was all set and ready to go for me and 3 other people. I then received an email the next day saying unfortunately there is no availability for Sunday (after i already got a confirmation) and was asked if i would like to go Monday, and without an argument i said no problem. I received a confirmation to meet at their office at 10:30AM, and that's exactly what i did. The office was closed (due to a holiday that i would have no idea about because i was just vacationing and it was never mentioned when they had me move my reservation to this day) So we called and called and then i emailed and finally got a hold of someone and they said they were having someone come pick us up, and would refund me for the at least the transportation. At this point my friends and i have already got in a taxi to get on a boat to make sure we can enjoy the day at the island we had all paid for already, not only did we have to pay for a taxi, we had to pay a decent amount of money to get us to an island by a different boat. Not only did they refuse to refund me for what was their mistake after they said they would, they ignored my last email asking them to reconsider that decision. So for anyone visiting Colombia, i don't recommend going through this company, Blue Apple Beach was great once we were there so i would just find another way to get there so you don't have to pay double like we did.
Brad Worthington: I did two tours with them. They were very helpful on both occasions. The Rosario islands was nice but pretty basic. The Tierra Bomba bike tour was great. It was fun and informative. The tour guides, Valerie and Cindy, were very helpful and went over the top to help.

s heydt: One of the best best vacations we've ever taken! Rainbow Nelson and his talented team looked after every detail of our nine days in and around Cartagena. We traveled with our three children and my parents--there was something fun for everyone. This Is Cartagena planned wonderfully creative adventures for us each day, like a treasure hunt for the kids, salsa dancing lessons, chocolate making, floating in a mud volcano, tours through the market and a gondola ride through the mangroves. They arranged for daily Spanish lessons (Gustavo was fantastic with the kids!) and private tours with dynamic, talented guides (Ronaldo and Alex!). We chose Colombia because we hoped to expose our children to other cultures and ways of life. I'll admit I was a little nervous to travel there, but we felt safe at every moment--and I appreciated the efforts they made to Introduce us to aspects of real life in Cartagena, beyond the typical tourist experiences. It left a lasting impact upon us all!The accommodations were great. We loved the Casa Hobo and the amazing staff! Excellent food at every meal--we dined in several times and were treated to traditional Colombian cuisine. The week also included several meals out on the town arranged by This is Cartagena. They planned for a range of dining experiences that were occasionally adventous, but always delicious! Our three days at a private beach retreat were heavenly! The place came equipt with a beautiful pool overlooking the Caribbean, food served up under the palm trees, and daily excursions on speedboats to explore the nearby islands. It was paradise! What luck we had finding Rainbow and his team. We were so well looked after--leaving it all to come home was the hardest part!
