Manja Huijs: The tour with Jesus was fun, informative and not a boring monologue ;-) I recommend taking the tour on your first day in Cartagena since we got some good tips about where to eat and go for nightlife. Jesus speaks very good English and during the tour he will try to teach you some Spanish :-) We took the Old city and Getsemani tour and it was a good introduction to the city. We enjoyed!

The tour of the walled city went to all the best views, and the tour of Getsemani was lots of fun; she got us singing and dancing through the streets. We’ve done walking tours all through South America, but Ellis was far and away the best guide. STRONGLY recommend!

Jesus (Old City Tour) and Luis (Getsemani) were incredible about Cartagena's history and culture, for every question, they had an answer, they provide you with a lot of recommendations (restaurants, activities, safety places) also don't need forget to wear comfy shoes because you will walk a lot and Sunscreen.

Lucas Pastor Duran: We did the Spanish tour, which is less crowded and calmer than the English tour. The tour was good and the guide was very friendly and made it very entertaining. Normally I do these tours because they also usually recommend "pub crawls" or other tours that are worth it, in this case they didn't know much about other tours and the one they ended up recommending to us for the Rosario Islands (Isla del Sol) that I didn't like So much, that's why I put 4 stars and not 5.

Cynthia Agustina: Took the Getsemani Walking Tour. Our guide Luis had interesting stories as we navigate the area that made the tour more memorable. We were also lucky that the size of the group was just right, 10-15 people which was perfect for some interactions among the group. A perfect one for a solo traveler.

Shanelle S: Free walking tour with various neighborhood options. Did the one of Old Town on the Friday after we had arrived, and it was a good way to get acquainted with the city. There are English and Spanish speaking tours available. We did the afternoon tour that was two hours (from 4pm-6pm). We had Elis as our tour guide, and she was amazing. She was super personable and very knowledgeable about the city’s history.It’s best to wear comfortable shoes and to bring sunglasses/water/sunscreen for the tour. You see a lot of the city as well start from Plaza Santa Theresa, where they’ll meet you with a yellow umbrella.

Fatmata Sankoh: Thought I knew about rum until I did this tasting. Learned so much from Renato's wealth of information and storytelling. The rums got better with each tasting but the second one was my favorite. The chocolates paired well with the rums and my tastebuds. I could not stop eating. I loved the intimate setting and small group. It was my brother's birthday and Renato and his team made it extra special by preparing a slice of delicious cheesecake with candle to help me celebrate his birthday. We met a lot of cool people (all from the US like us). Definitely would recommend to my clients and friends!

H James Lucas: Renato may not have convinced me that rum and chocolate are indeed best friends, but he certainly offers a lovely selection of each and a perfect environment in which to taste. His cooking-school space on the second floor of Caffé Lunático is clean and spacious, bright enough for learning but comfortable enough for a class to morph into a little party of newfound friends as an evening progresses. Our fellow tasters included brothers from Brighton and couples from Santiago, Paris, New York, and Seattle, and we would have been happy to have been sitting next to any of them. Anyone new to Colombia with even a mild appreciation for rum would do well to spend an evening here.

He also was extremely responsive to messages that we sent ahead of time when we had questions about switching times.
