Big shoutout to David, one of the bartenders who talked us through all the beers; where they came from, how they were made and generally provided great service. Definitely worth a visit!

I've travelled to many countries and tried out hundreds of different bars. This one takes the cake. My favorite drink here is the "Rosarito." It is arguably the best cocktail i've had!The staff is super accommodating and the drinks are sublime.

Steven Heath: We had a great time at El Baron tonight. Angel was our waiter and was so outgoing and kind as he explained the menus and made suggestions on what we should order. He has a great background story of how he came to be in Cartagena from his hometown as well.We ordered a couple of tapas - Ceviche de la Casa and Croquetas de Res. We liked both but were especially enjoyed the Croquetas. The drinks were great as well. They have a wide selection of options.There is only a small inside section but a large outdoor seating area if there’s nothing available inside. The only benefit of inside is the air conditioning.

Their dinning area is a bit small and was a little busy, so our food took a little bit longer than expected however it was very fresh. We all loved the dishes we tried. Next Stop Weekend: One of the worst experiences I’ve had ever. It took our waitress 30 min to bring out the bottle of wine we ordered. We had to ask 3x and walk inside to finally get it. And it was a different kind then we ordered. Meanwhile she brought drink after drink out to every other table. Is a margarita faster to make than a opening a bottle of wine? An hour and a half in she came to ask if we got our food yet. No? Shouldn’t you know? 5 min later she informed us they were out of one of the dishes we ordered. How did they just realize? She promised us our other entree asap. 15 minutes later and two hours+ total in we still had no food. For the first time ever we left cash on the table and walked out to find street food. Not sure if she was new or if they are simple racist to tourists, but I would avoid in lieu of literally any other restaurant.

We also ordered a board of cold meats that brought the same bread with the tomato, garlic and onion chopped and raw, with an unpleasant taste. The sausages were good. Regular service, the waiter did not know the menu well and when we asked to call the chef to present the complaint about the bread with that raw tomato, garlic and onion hash, the waiter made an excuse that the chef had left.

L D: This is my favorite restaurant in Cartagena. Every time I go, it is an amazing experience. The food is delicious and prepared expertly. The service is friendly and attentive (Jorge and Karen were amazing). The breezes are delightful as you are seated on the second floor in open air (covered)...and there are large fans during the hotter months....and a perfect view of the Castle! It is an amazing place!!Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options, both as tapas and mains.

Patrick Cannon: Wow, what a great experience. Wife and I took the Ceviche class with Maria and had the best time. The recipes she shares are easy to follow, the facility is immaculately clean, and the final results tasted amazing. Kudos to her and her assistant, who was integral in her successful teaching of the class. This is a must-do, when in Cartagena. The sit-down and socialize over a glass of your preferred beverage is a really nice touch. Buen Provecho!

Danny K: This is a tough one for me. The hotel seems like a nice little boutique hotel, however, we visited for a Sunday brunch. Apparently, the best feature is the rooftop, and unfortunately, brunch was inside due to some rain. Small and cozy restaurant space, however, the music was WAY too loud! Service started off great, but went downhill quite quickly. The brunch is done in a tapas style, which is quite unique and was enjoyable. Food was very good, however, it took quite some time to come out. Overall, I’d definitely go again, but only if the rooftop is open. There’s no way I could sit through a meal again with the volume they played the music. Hopefully service improves for the next time too.

Gabrielle Marie: While I did not stay at Townhouse, my husband and I enjoyed their rooftop bar one evening when we were in Cartagena. This was one of our favorite places for cocktails and nachos! Everything is very well priced, the atmosphere is super trendy, and the nachos are probably some of the best I have ever had. The rooftop over looks the city, so do yourself a favor by ordering a drink and some apps while watching the sunset. It is absolutely breathtaking.
