William Tang: I booked this place with 72,000 Hilton Honors points and $262 USD a night for two nights. I figured this would be a nice accommodation via the Curio nameplate but i was deceived. Jose at the front desk was horrible. He did not want to refund me my points due to a lackluster stay.When i checked in, they GAVE be a BASEMENT ROOM. Mind you i'm paying an equivalent of over $500.000 USD for this stay in Colombia! That is not chump change - especially in a foreign country.My basement room was musty and felt like a cave. I complained to the front desk and they upgraded me to a first floor room which had a balcony that did not lock. I didn't want to complain furthermore but my room was not clean. The water bottles had mildew, baseboards were moldy, sink was moldy, room had a mildew smell, and the POOL had algae! The maintenance man took 30 minutes to find a key to lock the balcony. This hotel is realistically a 2 star hotel. They offered me a welcome drink but there was no way for me to redeem it.There is no fitness center and the pool had algae. The resolution that Jose offered was only a 10,000 point reimbursement which is disgraceful because i spent over $500.00 on this 2 night stay. I will be disputing with American Express.

Sam Dean: My overall rating is 3/5 because this hotel is so fragrant! If you have scent sensitivities do not stay here!! There was even a scented plug in air freshener in the bathroom I had to unplug and hide. But even the hallways smelled strongly. Who does this anymore? If the hotel was neutral smelling I would have given 5 stars.FYI the room was open-ish concept with a frosted glass toilet door (can see shadows) and a shower with no door which can be awkward if you’re staying with a friend.Everything else is excellent - bed, location, rooftop bar and pool, service. Breakfast buffet, while slow service was great and you can ask for gluten free options.
Ars R: The service of the employees is good, they are not to blame, the maintenance in the rooms is lousy, water leaks in the room, the air conditioning service is horrible, bad, they changed our room 3 times, regarding breakfast It must incorporate Caribbean products, not all tourists eat arepas, there are sandwiches, there are croquettes, COLD AND STIFF breads with no possibility of heating them, I definitely do not recommend it until they improve their maintenance in the rooms and the most delicate thing is the air conditioning a disaster in every sense of the word.
Asia J.: Had a wonderful stay at Nacar Hotel in Cartagena! This hotel is in a perfect location and walking distance to many areas. I stayed in a king Jr suite room with a garden view and it was spacious with an open concept (i.e. shower was partially exposed, but behind a partial wall). All of the staff were professional, friendly and very helpful. They answered any questions I had during my stay. I want to thank Oscar for being so welcoming from arrival to departure from the hotel. The next time I'm in Cartagena, I will definitely stay here!

Jennifer Cruz: I had the opportunity to have one yoga session with Sol and the only thing I regret is that I could not stay longer in the city to have some extra sessions with her. One of the best instructors I've ever had!
Joshua Stega: Studio was a little hard to find as it is located in the courtyard behind Juan Valdez coffee shop. The vinyasa class was great, well instructed in both english and espanol. The studio is small but well setup (pretty full with 6 people). Enjoyable class, I will be back.
Corynne Lurie: I did the 3 day retreat with my Mom. I cannot say enough positive things about this experience! The island was beautiful, communication was amazing beforehand and we had the most relaxing time. Our instructor, Sol, was a fabulous teacher. The meals provided by Ligia were fabulous. The house and bedroom view was amazing, as was seeing all the animals in the Oceanario!! If you are looking to rejuvenate and feel refreshed, I highly recommend this retreat!

I have been receiving classes from Fabiana for more than a year and I feel that I have learned so much... Her classes are always different, special, and she knows how to take care of each one of us. Jenny Smith: Hotel Casa Lola was the perfect place to kick off our extended honeymoon getaway in Cartagena. A cross between old steam punk, colonial, and Eastern decor with beautiful water streams throughout the incredible labyrinth of the hotel - there was so much to look at and take in at every corner! We thoroughly enjoyed our daily delicious breakfast full of amazing/unique local fruit (+ more), top notch coffee (according to my coffee connoisseur husband) and friendly service - all included with the room, which is the best if you are a budget conscious traveler like myself. :-) The split level rooms with the bed up on the second floor and mirrors all over also made for a one-of-a-kind experience. A major highlight was the rooftop deck with the most incredible views of the city and interesting nooks and crannies galore - it was so quiet up there whenever we made our way on the roof, and we always wondered why more guests/people weren't around enjoying lounging in this hidden gem of a spot!Staying in the heart of Getsemani (a block or so away from the famous Cafe Havana, where we enjoyed a night out of live music and salsa dancing) was such a treat, and the staff were extremely helpful with coordinating drivers from the airport and down to our self-coordinated trip to the Aviary one morning. And of course the neighborhood is a full cultural/art immersion experience - the colors and energy of the nights are one-of-a-kind!

P Dora: This hotel has lots of potential but unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired with room for improvement.The hotel is decorated beautifully. The location is fine. Our room (4) was quiet. The rooftop is a well curated space. Breakfast was also plentiful and of a good quality - the staff serving breakfast were polite, as were the cleaning staff we encountered.My main issues with the hotel were as follows:• Some of the staff presented as unhappy throughout, in particular those facilitating check in and check out. As the first and last impression of the hotel it would not hurt to expend a bit of energy on a smile.• On our second day we spent roughly 4 hours on the rooftop pool during the day. Unfortunately, there were no staff present on the rooftop to take requests for drinks and food. There was no information on the bar indicating opening hours of the hotel bar. There was a sign that said to call down to make requests but this appeared to only indicate an extension number, not a full number. The hotel website indicates there is an app in which you can make requests but this did not appear to be working. Eventually we left the pool area and hotel to grab drinks and food elsewhere.• The hotel website and information leaflets make reference to happy hour every day of the week. However when we witnessed another customer ask about this he was informed that happy hour only happens Wednesday to Friday. It is unprofessional for happy hour to be marketed in this way if the hotel is not providing such an offer. This false advertisement led to us observing a rather uncomfortable exchange between the customer and the member of the staff on our first night. The member of staff remained polite throughout the exchange but a quality hotel would acknowledge their own mistake and offer the customer a one time discretionary happy hour offer. It is poor form of the hotel to put the member of staff in this position.• WIFI was hit and miss in both our room and on the rooftop.In summary, this is a hotel with so much potential but I would not return in a rush until improvements are made.

Alexander Pinzon: DANGEROUS... UNRESPONSIBLE... I stayed in this hotel in May, my mother suffered an accident around the pool and this hotel does not have trained personnel, nor do they have any protocol for these cases. My mom fell silent and lost consciousness for a few minutes and the lifeguard who was nearby brought me a cream to spread. The lack of knowledge in an accident like this is noticeable, an ambulance was never called to immobilize her, I had to pick her up after she fell and take her to the hospital in a taxi. The result of the fall was 3 fractured ribs and a vertebra. So far I have not heard anything from the hotel or from the hotel insurance company. If you are looking for a safe site with a greater sense of responsibility. do not stay at the hilton in cartagena.

Station für Omelett und frische Säfte.Executive Lounge von 12-20 Uhr geöffnet mit kleinen Snacks, Obst, Limonaden und Kaffeemaschine und durchgehend mit 2 freundlichen Mitarbeitern besetzt. 18-20 Uhr gibt es kleine warme Gerichte, Vorspeisen, Nachspeisen, Bier,Rotwein und Weisswein. Es war bis auf das Wochende nicht überlaufen und hat eine sehr schöne Aussicht.Zu Fuss kann man mehrere Restaurants und Bars erreichen und durch Bocagrande bummeln, Ich habe mich auch abends sicher gefühlt.

Simone Buiting: Na een fijn verblijf van 3 dagen helaas niet zo’n fijn vertrek. We hebben tijdens onze reis in Colombia verschillende keren onze was laten doen in verschillende ho(s)tels, vaak was dit 5-10 euro voor een volle zak was. Zo ook hebben we hier onze was laten doen, de prijzen zijn van tevoren niet met ons gecommuniceerd. Omdat het in de andere hotels per kilo ging gingen we er vanuit dat dat hier ook zo was, en dat ze ons de precieze prijs niet van tevoren zouden kunnen vertellen. Daarbij, omdat het in andere hotels in Colombia zo goedkoop was hadden we hier niets anders verwacht.Bij het uitchecken werden wij verrast met een rekening van 111 dollar voor de wasservice. Dit zijn onacceptabele prijzen voor 2 handdoeken en wat kledingstukken. Dit wilden wij dus ook niet betalen en hebben geprobeerd om met het receptie personeel tot een compromis te komen.Dit was helaas niet te bereiken en ze lieten ons erg onveilig voelen. Ze dreigden de politie te bellen als we niet zouden betalen en ook wilde ze ons onze koffers niet teruggeven (die we voor een paar uur in de bagageruimte hadden achtergelaten).Ze werden erg onvriendelijk en dreigend. Oplichters!!! 111 dollar voor 1 zak was.Reactie op onderstaande reactie van hotel:You are sorry I had not validated the prices? You mean you didn't validate the prices? We never opened the closet in the room nor used the laundry bags. We walked to reception to ask if we could get this washed and it was directly taken over from us without showing us any pricelist. Also, when seeing the pricelist afterwards, I saw you also needed my signature, which you never got. So these services were provided without my consent for the prices.You are wrong about the price per garment in Colombia. In the other 3 hotels were we had our closed washed they told us it goes per kilo so didn't know the exact price in advance. We payed every time like 25K-40K COP per bag.Can you please explain to me how it is possible that in the first 3 hotels we pay 6-10 dollars on average for a whole laundry bag, and you charge 111 dollar for the exact same amount. 10 times more?

Hotel environment was very peaceful. Room was spacious and amazing for rest. Received a facial at the spa with Yésica and it was perfect. We will return for sure!

It was quite dark because it only had a small window, but given the heat outside and the location close to the beautiful old part of Cartagena I would not consider that a disadvantage.We loved to have breakfast in the beautiful courtyard/patio where you can watch birds taking their morning bath in the fountain. But be careful, one of them pooped on me! 😀We continued our breakfast inside then 😀In the evening, we went for a swim in the small pool on the rooftop and enjoyed the view.We can definitely recommend the hotel, especially when you want to visit the old town, which is located in walking distance.

J Romero: Very nice job in the remodeling of this hotel. It also is a reminder of what should happen to all of the historic sites in this city. Rooms are comfortable. With morning comes a wonderful array of dishes and variety of delicious treats available for breakfast in the restaurant. Arquitecture has been well kept and mantains its historical value of the past.Rooms: Ample and all conserve the overall architectural coherence of the building. They have been nicely decorated as well. Beds are super comfy.Food & drinks: Delicious breakfast buffet. Varied treats for the whole family.Noteworthy details: Unfortunately, the hotel does not have a parking garage and vehicles must be left on the street nearby or in a private parking lot. I believe there isn't a jv with one either.
Laura Almiron: What a beautiful hotel! The double rooms are 2 stories with a bedroom/bath and common area on the first level and a huge loft with another bed/bath on the second level. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms, though small, fully equipped. The atrium is a wonderful place to relax and eat breakfast. Be careful, the birds might come steal your food! There is also inside seating for bad weather. There is a city view from the third floor pool and bar. The staff members are great, the concierge always ready to help the visitor.

The lobby, dining area and other common areas are beautiful. It is a peaceful haven in a chaotic city.From the moment we walked in the doors to the moment we climbed into our taxi to head to the airport, the service was incredible. Eduardo Arenas: Hotel management over sells the rooms and then start asking customers if we “wish” to move to another hotel from the same group. We were asked many times and ended up accepting to move for the last night. Also, the street were the hotel is, has late time bars and clubs with not very nice people and “girls” around until 3 am.Rooms and service and breakfast and food is good. Staff is friendly.
Tyler Peck: Absolutely loved this hotel. We were immediately impressed by the design throughout. It felt modern, but tasteful and not out of place. Our junior suite had a huge bed, tall ceilings, modern appliances, luxurious shower, and cute balcony overlooking the street. The rooftop pool area was breathtaking. The staff couldn’t be more friendly or accommodating. Only improvement would be thicker windows, but Centro is just inherently loud. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
Sofie: Update: went by a second time for breakfast, and unfortunately there were none of the great croissants and the sourdough bread was replaced by some boring industrial white bread. Other than that, still a great place, but a pity with the breakfast.We stayed here as a family of 5. Everything was fantastic, it was the best hotel we have stayed in so far on our six week trip. The breakfast was fantastic (loved their juices and smoothies), the staff super friendly, the design well thought through, and the service spectacular (they went beyond what you can expect). The only but we have is that the street outside can be noisy at night, earplugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper.
