SkyKitchen Cartagena: what do users think?
Krista Frederic: My husband and I found this on a third party site and thought it would be a good way to spend the middle of the day. We were welcomed despite a scheduling mix up and very quickly began our lesson. We were taught to make traditional Colombian items like arepas and fried plantains as well as some delicious sauces and fish preparations. The staff were friendly and entertaining and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend.
Brian W. Greer: Chef Romario and the Skykitchen experience is a must do in historic Cartagena. We had the most enjoyable time in his fabulous kitchen preparing our delicious evening meal - one of our best in Colombia. The facility is great. Romario was fun, personable and informative. We learned lots about Colombian and South American food, got some great general cooking tips and Romario sent us the recipes. We highly recommend it!
Pamela Roy: By far the best thing we gifted ourselves during our time in Cartagena!! Chef Romario is next level - receptive to modifications, such as this vegan ceviche, and rice with mushrooms that we made. Mixologist Alvaro taught us how to make the most exquisite cocktails while sporting the hugest smile and willingness to take photos to capture the moment. Sous chef Leylani kept the whole experience moving behind-the-scenes getting everything ready - it was like an orchestra, everything working together in harmony. There was dancing, many, many outbursts of sheer laughter from all the fun we were having, and an all around epic time with the most kind-hearted, generous, professional, and talented food instructors ever! And if that wasn’t enough, the space is so welcoming, inspiring and high end! So grateful. Thank you for making it SUCH a memorable experience.
Benjamin Duquesne: Très bonne expérience autour de la cuisine colombienne, on pourra refaire à la maison !
Pam Bailey: Fun experience. Chopping, stirring, frying. The food was absolutely delicious and the chef and his staff were great fun. Highly recommend this experience
Danielle Gonsalves: Loved this experience! My partner and I enjoyed making the food, learning about the techniques, and chatting with the wonderful and friendly staff. This was a wonderful experience :) thank you! We highly recommend.
Hannah and Edward: Romario was an amazing cooking teacher. He explained everything clearly, and we got to learn more about Colombia during the process. The food was incredible and catered to us being vegetarians. We may have experienced the best ever ice cream we have ever tasted.
Farees Nathoo: Amazing time cooking with Romario and the team. Highly recommend it!
Boyan Boyanov: Excellent experience in every possible sense. By far the best meal we had in Colombia, for a reasonable price given the quality. Highly recommend.
Kathy Nee: Absolutely fantastic experience! I did the Colombian class, delicious! Learned so much... the chef and assistants were knowledgeable and fun to work with. The facility is clean and has a professional kitchen and equipment. Also, a perfect dining space. Thank you!
Kendra S T: I highly recommend this culinary school/ class to everyone who is planning to visit Cartagena! Our guide and instructor Lievis was amazing!! He is so passionate about food and the market tour was really cool because he was known by many of the vendors. He gave great recipe ideas for all the different fruits and vegetables we saw. The class was incredible, we chose the ' Colombia' meal. We not only learned thoroughly how to make everything but I learned so many extra cooking techniques. Loved it! Muchas gracias skykitchen and Leivis!!!!
Robin Holtzman: Wow!! This was an exceptional experience during my trip to Cartagena! I can’t say enough about the amazing instruction from the 2 chefs and the hospitality and organization from the kitchen staff. The lesson was so much fun and every single thing we cooked up was incredibly delicious and uncomplicated to create. Even my husband who never cooks at home had a special time being there. Can’t wait to receive these recipes so I can try to duplicate and entertain my friends/family with these gastronomical delights. 😋
Eric Lemm: If you are looking for a fun and yummy activity to do with your family/friends and want to learn more about Colombian cuisine and cocktails I recommend you book a class with the team at SkyKitchen. You get to do the fun part of cooking, which is putting ingredients together, cooking, and of course eating without having to worry about the stressful food prep and cleanup part.SkyKitchen welcomed us to their kitchen even though we were running behind schedule due to flight delays and their team worked incredibly hard to ensure the class was run smoothly and that their guest were enjoying themselves, the food, and the cocktails.Food Class = 2 hours (5 courses) | Cocktail Class = 2 hours (5 cocktails)
La Gastronómica: An unforgettable experience in Cartagena. The chef gave us a spectacular class. We left happy.
Katie Castellano Minaya: This was the best time! We loved it so much that we went back for the cocktail class. The food was the best we ate the entire trip! Amazing staff, music, atmosphere! Loved every minute! Highly recommend making this part of your Colombia adventure!
Mark Frehe: This was a wonderful experience, staff was super friendly, food was great, this is a great opportunity for any group (family, couples, etc)….it will not disappoint. The arepa was my favorite!
Ashley Robin: More than just a cooking class, we got a full and true local experience with Romario! He might also be one of the best and most impressive humans I have ever met! We did the bazurto market tour, fruit tasting, cooking and cocktail making classes and the entire experience was incredible! I highly recommend experiencing the market. It's definitely not for the faint hearted but gave us a true picture of the lives of some Colombians! Romario was great the entire way. He was so knowledgeable about the market and fruits, explained everything the whole way. Romario crafted dishes that were perfectly curated to our tastes and dietary needs while keeping the local Colombian style. The cocktails were delicious too. Romario spent the pandemic learning English and it is quite remarkable how much he knows from just learning recently and in such a short time. We learned so much from him! His staff was on top of everything too and it was all just so well run and we had so much fun with them! I don't have any regrets choosing Sky Kitchen for our cooking class. I highly recommend them!
Jorn Diekmeijer: We had a great cocktail workshop at skykitchen Cartagena. The people of skykitchen are really nice and make sure your group is having fun. Me and my girlfriend especially liked that the cocktails we got to make were not the ones we were used to (In the Netherlands), as they were made with tropical fruits from the local region. Really recommend doing this when you are in Cartagena.
Bobby Theobald: One of the best things we did on our trip to Colombia! Romario has a great setup here. We did the market tour, fruit tasting, and cooking class. From start to finish was a great experience! The market is very authentic, well outside the walled city. Romario and Leevis did a great job of making us feel comfortable and safe and we learned a lot. The kitchen is modern and a great space. Romario has a perfect flow to the cooking class and the food we made was great. Would absolutely recommend!
Lee-vis AC Ostia: I HAVE THE HAPPY PLEASURE TO SAY THAT I WORK HERE :)ALWAYS 5 star because I KNOW HOW TO TREAT MY PEOPLE ;)

Lunático Cooking Studio Cartagena: what do users think?
Joshua Williams: I highly recommend take this class if you are looking for things to do in Cartagena! We stayed in the city for 4 days and this was my favorite part of the trip. You get the opportunity to learn about dishes from Colombia and where their influences come from. Jasmine is knowledgeable and shares that knowledge with you. The class is also a great opportunity to get to meet, cook with, and have a meal with new people who are also enjoying the city.
Yoruba Mutakabbir: This was an excellent experience.
Jennifer Lastra: What a beautiful experience. I am Colombian and I learned a lot about our beautiful gastronomy. Chef Jazminne and her team were very professional. The kitchen studio has a spectacular view. I liked it so much that I came back at night to learn and taste Colombian craft beers.
Francine Smith: EXCELLENT experience. Delicious food. Chef Maria is the best! Our group of 10 had plenty of space and everyone had their time to shine. This is a must do for those who love food and learning new things.
Tessi Romell: Today was AMAZING, in every way possible and using all senes.Starting the day with the market together with knowledgeable, funny, charming Andres was one of a kind experience. Thank you so much. The cooking class with Maria and Andres was super exciting and they made us feel so welcomed and at ease and what we cooked was so so nice to eat. Really professional.Me and my daughter (14) and my son (21) all feel high after this day and the 360 experience.Massive thank you 🙏🏻
Cameron White: Maria’s cooking class was fantastic! She took her time with us and was patient as we learned cooking techniques and asked lots of cultural questions along the way. I highly recommend this experience in Cartagena!
Ava Floyd: The chef is fantastic, engaging, and genuinely enjoys teaching creative and delicious recipes
Merissah Gilbert: We did the cooking tour and the market experience and it was absolutely spectacular. Highly recommend booking!
Brittany Mitro: Doing a the market tour + cooking class with Maria was our #1 favorite thing we did while in Cartagena. The market tour was such a unique experience - we wouldn't have ever done it by ourselves (chaotic wouldn't begin to describe the markets) but getting to meet the vendors and try so many fruits we hadn't ever heard of beforehand was a fabulous experience. (Also, if you are nervous about going to a busy market like this, I wasn't nervous at all with Maria - it was clear she knew what she was doing and where to go for the friendliest vendors. Everyone was just busy going about their business, and it was actually surprisingly clean and fresh smelling too, except for the fish & meat area of course)Then the cooking class itself was such a great experience. We love going to cooking classes and do it in a lot of places we travel to, but this one was unique in that we were all (about 8 of us plus Maria) cooking one big meal together. This meant that we got to learn how to make a ton of different things and each contribute as we went. The food in the end was delicious (mote de queso, ceviche, and the posta negra cartagenera) - the best meal we had in Cartagena - and the venue was really cute and fun.We recommend this as an experience for everyone traveling to Cartagena! Would do it again in a heartbeat - thanks so much Maria!
Melissa Twohey: Highly recommended!
Jane Schneider: Daughter (age 17) and I did a market tour and cooking class with Maria. The market tour was an experience we will always remember. Maria showed us an amazing experience; trying foods we would never have tried otherwise, explaining the history and importance of the food market and laughing the entire time. It was fabulous. We then went to the studio for a cooking class This was so much fun, amazing food and truly a spectacular time. Thank you to Maria and the entire Lunatico staff.
Karla Curiel: siempre al pendiente la comida nos quedó deliciosa, recomiendo mucho la clase yo tome las dos clases disponibles y sin duda volveré.(Translated by Google
Terance Mcleod: Let's start out with the extraordinary views that you gaze upon while inside of this absolutely beautiful studio. The decor and vibes are unmatched. Upon arrival the have everything laid out for you and makes you feel like your in your own home about to cook a wonderful dinner. The attention to details and directions that our chef Jasmine gave us were outstanding.SHE WAS WONDERFUL ❤️❤️❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I wish we could’ve rated this place 20/10. If you’ve never done a cooking class or even if you have I’d highly recommend giving this class a try and putting it at the top of your to-do list while visiting Cartagena, Columbia. ❤️ ‼️🤙🏾✊🏾
Manuel Ferrero III: Exceptional Cooking Experience with Chef Maria Delgado at Lunático Cooking Studio!I recently participated in a workshop at Lunático Cooking Studio, and I can't recommend it enough! Chef Maria Delgado's passion for food and her ability to teach complex techniques in an accessible manner made the experience both enjoyable and enlightening. The studio itself was immaculate and well-equipped, creating the perfect environment for learning. Chef Maria went above and beyond by allowing me to use her space for a conference call after the class, showcasing her incredible hospitality. If you're a food lover looking to elevate your cooking skills, Lunático Cooking Studio is the place to be. I eagerly anticipate returning to try more of Chef Maria's delicious dishes – especially that heavenly coconut rice!
Tommy A: Did the ceviche class and it was very fun and informative.

It was nice to meet fellow travelers from all over the world. I highly recommend this to do while in Cartagena and escape a bit of the heat !!We were given the recipes to take home and try .
Lachlan Perry: Maria is an excellent, experienced and intelligent chef. She can speak brilliant English along with Spanish.Cooking in her class was engaging, intriguing and eye-opening, as well as worthwhile, because the food was delicious. If you're in Cartagena, you need to book a class with her!

ACADEMIA DE ARTES CULINARIAS LE GOURMET: what do users think?
Suly House: The person who manages WhatsApp is very rude to provide information. If they write on the portals that for more information we must communicate via WhatsApp and then when writing to said number they respond that the information is given in person because they are their policies; They should not say that we request details of the careers and courses by that means. On their website or Instagram they have to write that the information they provide is only in person since on WhatsApp they can only give the price of a single course and thus we avoid a bad moment.I wanted to give a short course and a career to a young man who likes gastronomy and who has to travel to appear at the place, so I requested the information via WhatsApp and the person's response was: "That I was not clear about what he wanted but, that he was WITH RODEOS "!! How are you? having previously specified that I am not in Colombia to go personally to request information and having written the course and degree for which I wanted to know the cost.If it is a "training" Academy, the staff must be trained to deal with the public in a friendly and empathetic way, not pedantic or in bad taste.
David Parada: A place with a very good taste
Francisco Marrugo (Cisco): It lacks a lot, it's uncomfortable, it's tight, and it's hot. Good if you just want to eat quickly

Choco Museo: what do users think?
ANGÉLICA Faciolince: I have fond memories of this place that unfortunately closed.
Dina Herrera: This place unfortunately no longer exists in the historic center of the city.It was super delicious and cosy.
Cindy Vega Marin: It no longer exists
Veronica Rincon: Unfortunately due to the pandemic this place is closed, it's a shame, we really had high expectations. It's sad that places like this are finished by the pandemic.
Melo :D: I'm sorry for the people who want to visit the choco museum because they closed it due to a pandemic and the choco museum no longer exists 😭
Andres Ardila: No longer exists !
Christian Restrepo: There is two address, one address for some reason takes you to a small town a bocadillo which is ABSOLUTELY WRONG.The other address is in centro histórico which I do not know it exist as the address listed on google was totally wrong and gave up after being ripped off by mindless cab driver.
James Vinasco: It is a place you like, you are not only going to buy, they also give you a tour to tell you about the procedure with the cocoa, the flavors according to the regions. Then you can taste and buy from a wide variety of flavors and combinations
Yenifer: THIS MUSEUM NO LONGER EXISTS IN CARTAGENA
adriana espina moron: I loved. A spectacular site
Marc Van Baar: Sebastian was our master chef and guided us through 2 hours of making chocolates. At the end you make 16 to take home. Sebastian was great. Great way to escape throngs of cruise ship passengers if a cruise ship enters Cartagena: They will not do a 2 hour class
Luis Manuel Puerta Cassiani: Excellent
Natalie Mills: Loved it. Kids loved the chocolate workshop class making chocolates treats. Very educational and the staf(especially) Charlie, were patient and interested in sharing the chocolate process. Definitely worth the stop.
Oscar Augusto Vallejo Santos: Very good quality chocolate on the first floor, whose flavor is spectacular and on the second the museum part which is a bit sparse but attractive
Patrick Lawless: Great excursion from cruise ship. Learned about cocao peocess, tree to chocolate candy, plus uses of shells. Hands on making of our own candies and 3 different drinks. Guides were extremely informative and helpful and made the experience fun.
Leonel Arf: attention and chocolate
Arise Service Partner PF Kendra Jackson: The Choco Museo was the highlight of my trip. The service was exceptional and the experience was unimaginable.
Pedro Claver Redondo Padilla: Super
Marc Staveley: Took the chocolate making workshop with a great host. Actually learned more than I thought I would and had a lot of fun too.
Emerson Moreno: Little museum, more like a store
