1968 Salsa Show: what do users think?
Vinicius Maretti: This place doesn't exist anymore. It's now a disco club.
Diego Castillo: The best city in Cartagena
Ignacio A Fachini: Good place to get to know the salsa culture with live orchestras and professional dancers who guide and teach you. Consistent prices both at the entrance and to consume
Victor B: The admission price for two of ~$12 was not bad, esp since it included a free drink. They said the ladies would get 2for1, but did not do a good job (language barrier?) explaining that was only good for a few options. My date did not order the right option and asked for a whisky and water. We wanted basic whiskey but I later learned that they gave her a $15 shot. Since we were there for a few hours she had two, so the bill I was presented at the end was $30 for two shots. Then, when I went to pay, I was told the credit card machine did not work so I had to pay in dollars (since I did not have Columbian pesos). They gave me a really low exchange rate of 2500 to the $1, which is far below the 3000-3100 you get everywhere else. Finally, the “show” is about 10 minutes long. Then the next few hours consisted of the 5-6 dancers dancing with the audience. It is also very loud. I am not that old and this place is loud.Maybe you will like all this, but I thought I paid for a show?! After a few hours we left and never saw any “show” beyond the opening 10 minute performance.Maybe you will like all this, and can plan better (eg bring pesos, order more carefully, bring earplugs, etc) but we were disappointed. VictorB
George H: It is a good place just to enjoy the dancing show. Not recommended to eat( food had Zero quality and plate was served cold). Drinks OK not to die for it. and service cold as the food .The dancing crew very friendly and willing to teach you how to dance.
kyle chirnside: Good but the show only lasts 20 mins
Valentina RP: Excellent place. The concept is very interesting, the interaction of the dancers with the public greatly helps the atmosphere, the shows are spectacular.Highly recommended.
monica houses: y que los bailarines interactuan con el publico. No me gustó los cocktails, el de la foto es un cocktail de lulo, que sabia a aguapanela con exceso de azucar y limon (la verdad sabia horrible
Daniela Ramos: Amazing dancers, the environment is just so live, loved the drinks and the band sounded amazing
Anh Pham: Stumbled upon this place. Great atmosphere to see the dancers and dance salsa with live band. The dancers did a good job leading me to the dance floor!
Raul Henao: Spacious venue with ample dance floor. An important element of any late night spot is the sound system, and they have a great sound system. Slasa of all types and eras. If you want to get a sweat in or if you're learning to dance this is a great place in Cartagena. We did not pay cover and drink prices were comparable.
Antonio Venanzi: Buen show comida y atención.. los.mwjores bailarines y la banda en vivo que buenas.voces
Dumitran Marius: Great show nice live band really worth coming once even if u don't dance Salsa.
Finalmente termine tomando solamente agua, era conductora elegida.
Jody Johnsen: We had a wonderful time at 1968. Two of our party danced with the professional dancers when invited. The shows were an unexpected surprise. We would return and recommend.A con: the drinks. Unless we want a whole bottle of scotch, vodka or wine we couldn’t have a drink. Two of us had water for 3 hours. Not a great loss as it turned out. A drunk next to us attacked an older man in our party for an imagined appreciation of a married woman. We were so surprised that we failed to react at all. It was good that 2 of us were completely sober when the altercation occurred.
Dee P: Do the show only, not dinner and show. It's cheaper and you won't feel like you wasted too much money.Service sucks.Friday show. Waited to get my drink for an hour. Ordered 3 times and still took that long, while all the other tables were being serviced just fine. The show itself - is ok. I wouldn't go again but not bad to kill sometime.
Liz Saunders: NOT recommended for meals and/or big groupsWe had a reservation for ~85 people. It was a train wreck. When we arrived, we requested water for everyone. It took over an hour to get water to everyone, and when they did deliver water, they put a few bottles on the table for everyone to split, but never brought glasses with ice. Our team ended up helping the wait staff deliver the water, glasses of ice, and the drinks. Our contract included an app, an entree and a dessert. Water, drinks and appetizers took almost 2 hours to be totally delivered, and it was mediocre at best. Some of the food was still frozen in the middle, and most of it was room temperature. At the 2.5 hour mark we had to start prepping to leave with the buses, and we requested that they cancel dessert and take it off our bill. They refused saying that we booked a package and they couldn't discount any of the food, but would remove the service charge. For an hour we spoke to Marcela, who brought in Rafael, and then another woman came over and also started arguing with us. After an hour of them changing what they were going to do for us, it was no longer worth the effort so we paid for all of the food, including food that was never delivered, and 50% of the service charge.Ultimately, when we called to book a big group for dinner and a show they should have told us they are not set up to handle it. I hate that they took the incompetency of management out of the server's tips. This was a truly terrible experience.
Kyle B. Lamothe: Great place, not to be overlooked for salsa! Went on a Tuesday. Band was excellent, show was good, and the staff and dancers did a great job of bringing people onto the dance floor. Nice to dance to the live band!CORRECTION to earlier reviews, beers are only 15mil, only cocktails were 35mil
Juan Perez232: Very good place. Excellent to relax and have fun.
Elizabeth Urbano: This site really surprised me. Tremendous live orchestra, excellent service, the decoration of the site is spectacular, the menu of food and drinks very varied. By far the best place in the getsemani sector.
Yoinel Esteban Vargas Eljach: Excellent food musical atmosphere

lucas restrepo: live music, very nice, dim lighting, cozy and delicious cocktails.
Conner Nannini: Great 1920’s inspired cocktail bar with live music. We went in on a Thursday night when it was mostly empty and they had an acoustic duo playing. It was a great vibe, music was awesome, and the staff was super attentive.Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Paula Iñiguez: Amazing cocktails and live jazz
Belen Diaz: Excellent atmosphere and great food.
VANESSA FLOREZ LAMPREA: I love this place! Every time I go to Cartagena I pass by here. There is terrific live music. The group now is incredible, a very good band, the singer has a beautiful voice and full of energy, the musicians are very good. There are burlesque dances. The waitresses are always very friendly. Recommended the sushi, the mini hamburgers, the ribs.
Colleen Martinez: So fun! We went to hear Ray sing... we had some yummy sliders and drinks. The atmosphere is so chill and you can actually hear each other talk! And the seating is actually comfortable... I hard thing to find in Cartagena. We'll be back!!
Shanita Bush (MsShaniB): Omg, it was a whole VIBE.IAMGNOTTE 🎤 And that guitarist 🎸 was Mesmerizing.Great 1st night in Cartagena!!!!
Bernell King: Lovely, really nice mellow place to relax, chill, and hear jazz fusion, guitarists, and piano. We went twice, two nights in a row. You almost forget you're in Cartagena. The food is Japanese fusion and OK. There's a very limited selection of only 1 type of red wine by the glass. It's best for the music and vibe.
Alessandro Festa: cócteles y buena música! súper Recomendado!
monica ruth rozo bonilla: Buena atención
Agha Khan: Went here by accident today and am glad we did. They had live music. Nice vibe inside. We ordered tuna pizza (sounds interesting) and sushi. The food was fresh and taste was on point. Nice place to sit back and relax.
Gloria Martínez Orozco: I definitely love this place! I have had the opportunity to go on different occasions and what I like the most is that the programming varies. The food is delicious and the music is super top! Excellent place to have a good time with the best atmosphere 💃🏻
Rodrigo Borja Malo: The site is spectacular, the cocktails and the artistic program are of high quality. One of my favorite bars when I'm in Cartagena.
Jorge Ramírez: Ask for the tempura prawns, they are very good. The music and burlesque are impeccable. Recommended, my favorite bar in Cartagena.
Clary Borja: It is a unique place in Cartagena, the intimate atmosphere, the live music, the food and the cocktails are delicious! Really highly recommended.
Yofret Rios Mercado: Very nice and small, the food is some type of fusion, is odd, but in the good sense, it has a romantic vibe, so it's a perfect place for a date!
Sara López F: I loved this place, it has a very cozy atmosphere, the cocktails and the food are delicious. It is a jazz, soft rock atmosphere and they have live shows and themes for different days. Excellent!
Mariana Tobon: very bad service
Adriana Soto: The Members Only atmosphere is spectacular. Live music is a plus for any plan and is excellent while enjoying food and company.

DJMORFO FASCINANTE: Excellent disc, the best to have a good time, there is no such disco as show business in Cartagena. Recommended
Marco Antonio Torres Coneo: The worst attention in a nightclub in Cartagena, even more so if you don't consume the bottle in a certain time, the waiters harass you to get you out.
LENGIR DIAZ: I haven't seen a cooler disco in Cartagena than it is. Full energy, excellent DJs. And best of all... top people to share. Excellent hosts. 🤙🏼🔥
Julia Hendy: What a boogie! Light up dance floor and good times. Quiet but so much fun
Alvaro Arbuet: The infrastructure is excellent, ultra modern in the best ibiza style, but they went crazy with the prices of drinks 35000 for a simple cocktail is too much. I don't like ballerinas or half ball dancers. not add, subtract
yeiner berbesi: Excellent place to party
nathasha lorduy: Super cool the best album a super cool experience🍹🥂🥃👍
miguel antonio puello machacon: Excellent the best Rumba in Cartagena..

Cartagena Connections: what do users think?
Katie Fisken: Cartagena Connections is such a fantastic way to see the city and experience the local culture. Kristy is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the local community and that shines through on her tours! I attended the street food tour and I cannot recommend it enough! If you're wanting to dabble in street food and learn the local ways then this is the tour for you! More broadly Cartagena Connections is the one stop shop for info on all of the best spots in town!
Kristi Vanskiver (Whisky Wanderlust): Kristy was an amazing guide and extremely helpful when trying to accomodate our vegan friend on the street food tour. There is really limited options for a vegan but she really made us all feel welcome and included. She is a wealth of knowledge on history and culture of Cartagena and makes the information fun and engaging. I really couldn't recommend the tour more. It's way more than just a food tour!
Matt Gould: Went on a street food walking tour and I cannot stress enough how amazing it was! A brilliant way to see the city, learn about its history and culture, AND eat amazing food. Kristy's energy is infectious...the food is delicious...and the city is beautiful. What's not to like?!
Sandy Kidd: Wonderful tour ! I did the street food tour, we tried plenty of stuff and also learned a a bit more about Cartagena's story. Highly recommend it !
Samantha Foster: We had booked a private street food tour in cartegena. Henry was amazing. He took us to multiple food carts and had us try the most amazing food, all while giving us great history of the city and different neighborhoods. It was the best part of our stay in Cartegena. Highly recommend this company!!
Hinga: If you are a person visiting Cartagena for the first time, Cartagena Connections is a must. Tour guide Daniel was awesome. He is very knowledgeable and he makes you feel at home. I would definitely recommend CC. If you want that local Dominican experience ask for Daniel.
Rose Zu: We took the street food walking tour, and we highly enjoyed it! The tour guide was friendly and accommodating (I had forgotten to mention my mango allergy at registration like I was supposed to). We were introduced to the local favorite stalls and spots that we never would have found on our own. Delicious tour, and we got to take some great photos of the colorful neighborhoods. Highly recommend the tour and this agency!
Valentina Calabrese: You arrive in Cartagena and book a tour hoping to know something about the city and its history. then you meet daniel and you not only know the story, but you feel the energy of the people, you experience the community firsthand and for this we thank him very much. he passed on his passion and love for cartagena to us! we highly recommend it!
Justin Friedrich: We booked two tours with CC and had fantastic experiences at each one. Planning our tours was hassle free and communication through WhatsApp was quick.Daniel showed us around the Bazurto Market, he shared history while showing us the market, sampling local fruit, snacks, and some hidden gems. We finished with lunch, which was some of the most delicious food we had during our trip to Colombia. We also booked a private boat tour of the Rosario Islands, where Ana helped coordinate our day and itinerary. She made everything so easy and since our group speaks very limited Spanish, she was well appreciated through out the day.Everything worked out so well, the guides were excellent, these two tours exceeded our expectations and were the most fun activities during our trip to Colombia!
Hollie Evans: What a cool experience! If you're lucky, Dan will be your guide. A super cool local with great vibes. He will take you to spots that you would otherwise walk right past and not notice. He will take you to try 2 types of arepas, empenadas, deditos and much more, beer included! Not only will you taste great food, Dan also tells you about the people, music, art, dance and history of cartegena l. honestly one of the best food tours we have been on, thanks so much Dan!
Greg Isaacs: We enjoyed an excellent street food with Daniel who is a rockstar! We learned about the history of Cartagena, tried 5-6 foods from street food vendors and toured several incredible neighborhoods. Would highly recommend. Thank you, Daniel.
John Smith-Ricco: Highly recommend the street food tour. Dan was an excellent guide for our private group of nine. Good mix of food, tour, history lessons. Also gave us a chance to see and explore some less “touristy” parts of the Old Town and Getsemaní
Anna Christine Brennan: We really enjoyed this food tour - plenty of food, although not as much as others I have done - you will still need dinner afterwards. We really enjoyed ourselves and Dan was great.
Luis Gracia: Great way to get to know the lesser traveled parts of Cartagena and especially AUTHENTIC food. I 100% recommend this tour, especially with Dan, his local energy and swagger are unmatched!
Larisa Tyshkevich: Sent an enquiry from the website about a transportation option to the Aviary. This option is clearly detailed on their website. The response I got via email was about the tour including beach time, lunch etc. I replied saying that I was not interested in the tour. They said fine they would look if the transport was available. Never got back to me. Update your website if not offering the service and don't waste people's time.
Elizabeth Grewe: Had the best experiences with Cartagena Connections! They set us up with a coffee tasting at Cafe Del Mural that completely changed how we thought about coffee. Unforgettable, delicious, very educational. Then we did a market tour with Dan, he was so friendly and knew the maze of the alleys and stalls well. Definitely go with a guide. Dan had great vibes and helped us buy produce. He made sure we got to try local juice and fruit and surprised us with a souvenir at the end, a customized poster from a local artist. Communication with March at CC before, during and after the experiences was friendly, responsive and helpful. Recommend working with them for all sightseeing and touristic needs!
Joyell Arvella: Terrible customer service. I received a response to my interest in the horse riding experience and never heard from anyone after that. I sent multiple emails confirming the experience I wanted, asked if it was still available and never heard back from anyone. Do not waste your time with this company. There are better ones in Cartagena.
J. C. M: We did the street food tour with Kristy, which was more of a street food + walking + history tour all rolled into one. Kristy was super knowledgeable about Colombian culture, the murals, the off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods, and everything in between. Highly recommend!!!
Katie S: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueCartagena Connections made my experience traveling to Cartagena solo amazing !Kristy is very responsive, informative , and ensures everything runs smooth!
Meredith Was: We spent two half-days with Kristy exploring Cartagena, and the experience was 10/10 excellent! We loved her tours because it feels more like a friend/local is showing you around the city, with insider info and local experiences, rather than a canned "follow the umbrella" tour. She knows all about the history of Cartagena and shares thoughtful insight, as well as conveying her love for what makes Cartagena so special! I'd absolutely recommend Cartagena Connections to anyone visiting this city!
Michael Müller: We had the steet food tour with Kristy and we were absolutely amazed by it.Kristy, living since years in Cartagena, does not only know all the best places to get street food, she also knows a ton of stories about the city itself, the different cultures, the current situation and how the people make their living, about murals, and and and...So this tour is not really about "the city was found in xy bla bla" but about the little details and also about how things and city spots are connected to the history and the people. The food itself was delicious and more than plenty. I did not count but we had like ten snacks, fruits and drinks. But warning: You need to be into fried stuff and cheese but when you are you will love this experience.
