Katie Fisken: Cartagena Connections is such a fantastic way to see the city and experience the local culture. Kristy is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the local community and that shines through on her tours! I attended the street food tour and I cannot recommend it enough! If you're wanting to dabble in street food and learn the local ways then this is the tour for you! More broadly Cartagena Connections is the one stop shop for info on all of the best spots in town!
Kristi Vanskiver (Whisky Wanderlust): Kristy was an amazing guide and extremely helpful when trying to accomodate our vegan friend on the street food tour. There is really limited options for a vegan but she really made us all feel welcome and included. She is a wealth of knowledge on history and culture of Cartagena and makes the information fun and engaging. I really couldn't recommend the tour more. It's way more than just a food tour!

The tour guide was friendly and accommodating (I had forgotten to mention my mango allergy at registration like I was supposed to). We were introduced to the local favorite stalls and spots that we never would have found on our own. Delicious tour, and we got to take some great photos of the colorful neighborhoods. Highly recommend the tour and this agency!

Planning our tours was hassle free and communication through WhatsApp was quick.Daniel showed us around the Bazurto Market, he shared history while showing us the market, sampling local fruit, snacks, and some hidden gems. We finished with lunch, which was some of the most delicious food we had during our trip to Colombia.We also booked a private boat tour of the Rosario Islands, where Ana helped coordinate our day and itinerary. She made everything so easy and since our group speaks very limited Spanish, she was well appreciated through out the day.Everything worked out so well, the guides were excellent, these two tours exceeded our expectations and were the most fun activities during our trip to Colombia!
Hollie Evans: What a cool experience! If you're lucky, Dan will be your guide. A super cool local with great vibes. He will take you to spots that you would otherwise walk right past and not notice. He will take you to try 2 types of arepas, empenadas, deditos and much more, beer included! Not only will you taste great food, Dan also tells you about the people, music, art, dance and history of cartegena l. honestly one of the best food tours we have been on, thanks so much Dan!

Larisa Tyshkevich: Sent an enquiry from the website about a transportation option to the Aviary.This option is clearly detailed on their website. The response I got via email was about the tour including beach time, lunch etc. I replied saying that I was not interested in the tour. They said fine they would look if the transport was available. Never got back to me. Update your website if not offering the service and don't waste people's time.
Elizabeth Grewe: Had the best experiences with Cartagena Connections! They set us up with a coffee tasting at Cafe Del Mural that completely changed how we thought about coffee. Unforgettable, delicious, very educational. Then we did a market tour with Dan, he was so friendly and knew the maze of the alleys and stalls well. Definitely go with a guide. Dan had great vibes and helped us buy produce. He made sure we got to try local juice and fruit and surprised us with a souvenir at the end, a customized poster from a local artist. Communication with March at CC before, during and after the experiences was friendly, responsive and helpful. Recommend working with them for all sightseeing and touristic needs!
Joyell Arvella: Terrible customer service. I received a response to my interest in the horse riding experience and never heard from anyone after that. I sent multiple emails confirming the experience I wanted, asked if it was still available and never heard back from anyone. Do not waste your time with this company. There are better ones in Cartagena.

Michael Müller: We had the steet food tour with Kristy and we were absolutely amazed by it.Kristy, living since years in Cartagena, does not only know all the best places to get street food, she also knows a ton of stories about the city itself, the different cultures, the current situation and how the people make their living, about murals, and and and...So this tour is not really about "the city was found in xy bla bla" but about the little details and also about how things and city spots are connected to the history and the people.The food itself was delicious and more than plenty. I did not count but we had like ten snacks, fruits and drinks. But warning: You need to be into fried stuff and cheese but when you are you will love this experience.

Nikolay Grigorenko: We came here for one day, to hang out at the beach.After reading the reviews about 15+ beaches on the isles near Cartagena, I wasn't expecting much from the experience.This place proved to be better than I thought (and better than many other beaches, judging by the reviews).What we liked:* Fast and clear communication via WhatsApp (I made the booking on Sunday evening, for Monday morning)* Boarding the boat was ok, we had to wait for somebody 15 mins, but that's acceptable* No tricks with prices: we were not charged a single cent on top of the agreed amount, and everything that was supposed to be included in the tour, was there. Prices in the menu on site were also correct, without further surprises in the bill.* Welcoming and unintrusive personnel on the beach* Comfortable beach beds with shadow roof above* Appropriate volume of music, not too loudThere was nothing that we disliked too much, but here are a few things, worth mentioning as some drawbacks:* Food was eatable, but not more than that* Same for the drinks - drinkable, but not too good* Beach was ok for our purpose (to relax near the beachfront and work a bit), but if you are looking for some picturesque place with crystal clear turquoise water, you should probably look beyond Terra Bomba. But then again, it would be a significantly longer boat ride and higher costs.Overal this place is a definitely a good option for this price (35 USD per person, incl. boat, beachbed, lunch) and we didn't regret coming here.

jesse s: We went to Bomba Beach Club which is a part of Namaste. For the day pass price it was pretty solid (we paid 300 mil pesos for two). The staff were very friendly and the vibe was very relaxed (great if you are not looking for a party atmosphere).Definitely looked a bit different from the photos but that’s to be expected. When booking Bomba you will NOT have access to the rest of Namaste unless you pay for it.The beds and hammocks were great and yes the ocean is a a bit rocky but that is everywhere here and not the fault of the beach club.If you are looking for an easy place to get to that won’t hit the wallet hard check it out.

Lorena LM: Absolutely amazing hotel, a truly 5-star experience! Staff are incredible and go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. From Jesus welcoming special guests to the mayordomos (thank you Rudy, Diego, Amaury and Armando!) and everyone else in the hotel. The facilities are stunning and full of history and the food is amazing in all restaurants. I highly recommend the restaurant 1621 for amazing fine dining! Can’t wait to go back one day!
Gianluca Mazzanti: Siamo stati al Santa Clara per la nostra luna di miele un totale di 5 giorni a metà giugno 2023. È stata un'esperienza divina: servizio impeccabile, cibo squisito (colazione DA SOGNO) e infrastruttura meravigliosa. Unica pecca la mancanza di chiarezza riguardo il sistema delle mance. In Colombia è usanza lasciare una mancia pari al 10% del totale del conto. Ma non ci hanno spiegato bene che al momento del check out, per ogni notte ci hanno addebitato (con un sistema di mance centralizzato) circa 40€ (!). Il problema è che la mancia comunque dovrebbe essere una cosa volontaria, ma al momento di firmare ogni conto, comunque ti viene chiesto quanto desideri lasciare come mancia... Quindi abbiamo dato mance a ogni pasto, cocktail ecc. e in più ci hanno addebitato quei 40€ per ogni giorno che hanno aumentato cospicuamente il saldo da pagare a fine soggiorno. Comunque sia consigliatissimo!!!!!

The rooms are a little outdated, but for the most part you don’t spend a lot of time in your room. The hotel has everything you need and it’s conveniently located to shops and restaurants. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate you. I highly recommend this place. They nailed “customer service”! I will return!

Farrah Powell: We spent a day here and took advantage of the day passes that the property offers. They have a ferry that picks up in the mornings, which is convenient. We were welcomed by the staff and taken to our pool lounger. The hotel offers many add-on options for the day passes. We didn't opt for the all-inclusive package. But enjoyed a delicious meal at lunch. The pork sandwich with sour dough was amazing, as well as the ceviche. The cooks here must be applauded. We also had a massage and can report that it was the best 25$ we have ever spent period. The masseuse was amazing. The dj was a nice touch, and the music was a good mix of genres. We had such a good time, and we are hoping to come back for a weekend getaway soon. A day here just isn't enough.

The hotel took no responsibility/refused accountability. If you're up for a pool party, great, but I wouldn't trust their recommendations/tours or for them to take responsibility if anything goes wrong.Safety: Put in a situation that was unsafe.

Isabela Murillo: Can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Everything was perfect. The rooms, the food, the staff, the service and the location. The beach is clean and great to swim and with great views of the sunset. My one feedback would be that there seems to be a lot of promise of activities happening at night for guests on the website but we didn;t get any of this. It was extremely quiet and dead in the evenings. Despite this, I would 100% return in a heartbeat.Also really love their focus on sustainability and you could tell this isn't just a marketing ploy. They have a glass bottle recycling facility in the back, a garden where they grow herbs and vegtables that are used in the kitchen.Tip: book directly through their website and not through third party providers to ensure you get free breakfast included and the boat trip back to Cartagena included.

Al Stankus: Spent three glorious nights at Blue Apple and couldn't have been happier (well the all night Rave at a nearby resort put some unwanted deep bass into the night)The room was huge, the bed and linens top-notch and hot water plentiful.Every member of the staff went out of their way to take care of you...a special nod to Luz and Jorge. And Jessie at the front is amazing.Every meal was truly delicious with highlights being the sea bass carpaccio, fish crudo and seafood paella. The bar makes terrific nights and the wine list is really good.We spent three nights and to spend any less would be a mistake. You really do settle into an island pattern. And book a massage near the beach.
Emma Backup.: We really enjoyed our time at Blue Apple and ended up coming back for a second day. It's a good vibe and the staff are friendly and quick with service. The only negative was that we booked a bed on our second visit they said there was none available when we arrived so we had to sit on regular loungers. But that was deducted from our bill so not the end of the world. We went to a few beach clubs in Cartagena and this was probably my favourite one!
Ad Dub: We went there on a day trip and really enjoyed it. The best thing was the food and great service. Overall worth what you pay for. The boat was 20-30 mins late to get there. Carolina Sanz: Food & drinks: The paella was more so rice with seafood but it was tasty. The service, however, was atrocious. When we asked for hot sauce and salt, the staff never brought it. Furthermore, they brought us our tab and we paid cash. Needless to say, I am still waiting to get back my change. Oh, and not once did they ask us if we wanted any cocktails while we were on the beach.Noteworthy details: The details could use more maintenance. The location is advertised as a boho-chic place, but instead it looks abandoned. From the minute we got off the boat, the staff asked us at what time we were leaving. We basically felt like we were being kicked out without having even sat down at our daybed. Also, it took us asking 5 times (and a whole hour) before we even got towels. Additionally, they stopped playing music and closed the bar 45 minutes before we were even leaving.
Daniel Monsalve Ruiz: Today we went to Fenix Beach with two friends.We pay 750,000 Colombian pesos.It supposedly included a welcome cocktail, which was actually a Coronita (tiny corona), lunch that was really good with a small sugary lemonade, and a dessert that didn’t come.We booked to leave at 6:30 pm, but one of the managers told us that we couldn’t, and we had to leave at 4:30 pm or 5:30 pm.At 5.25 pm, they asked us to take the boat. I asked about the dessert, and his response was, “Oh, do you still want it?”While we were there, nobody came to ask if we wanted something or bring a drinks menu.Super disappointed with the experience.
Erika Sanchez Sandoval: We had high expectations about this place, we paid for the pass to celebrate Father's Day, the staff was very attentive, the food was delicious, but the piece of beach that they have set aside for the hotel is too dirty! Unfortunate experience that when swimming you get garbage of all kinds including human waste and not exactly algae or corals. The plan is very cool but I had to call attention 3 times for them to go and clean the demarcated area of the sea and on no occasion did they go in to do it despite warning them that they will enter, they only cleaned what the sea left on the shore and I saw to several tourists entering to the end of the demarcated area and literally picking up the garbage and complaining about the same. The plan is expensive and the least one expects is that at least every hour they are cleaning the internal area of the sea. I do not recommend it because in the end we had to go to the pool and we paid to swim and enjoy a beach and sea free of unpleasant waste.

H HA: Terrible experience checking in an expected room, Hotel .com scammed me booking the place 2 months earlier for nearly double their current priceHotel refused to acknowledge and upgraded me to a room which was not much better - the whole place needs renovation, safe box does not work , coffee machine and hair dryer.Use the stairs to access the only ice machine located in floor 5, for security elevator will get u only to your floor 😭The worst was a cockroach crawling in my room last night.Fresh fruits in the breakfast is covered with gnat flies. Actual domestic flies will fight you for other options. 🤮Thanks god coffee is great and u go eat elsewhere. Staff are polite and friendly, they always act as they do not understand English to get away with a lot of things. 🤬
