Instead of following a line for who gets to go upstairs, they’ll let their friends(?) and couples first. If you’re with a bigger group, forget about it. Which is insane bc we would have brought the most money. And when you question they’re super rude! They tried telling me it was bc I had gotten there only 15min prior. Hm, no sir! I have eyes and saw all these ppl who just got here after us get upstairs before us. And again, being super rude and condescending. William Tang: I stumbled onto this place while sightseeing in Old Town Cartagena. It's a tiny dive-bar with the tastiest drinks I've had! I've travelled to many countries and tried out hundreds of different bars. This one takes the cake. My favorite drink here is the "Rosarito." It is arguably the best cocktail i've had!The staff is super accommodating and the drinks are sublime.

Alison Rooney: Highly recommend visiting El Baron when you re in Cartagena. Great drinks and food. I tried one of the special cocktails. Service was attentive and everyone there looked after the guests. You can outside on the plaza or inside. It is one of “must go” spots.
Steven Heath: We had a great time at El Baron tonight. Angel was our waiter and was so outgoing and kind as he explained the menus and made suggestions on what we should order. He has a great background story of how he came to be in Cartagena from his hometown as well.We ordered a couple of tapas - Ceviche de la Casa and Croquetas de Res. We liked both but were especially enjoyed the Croquetas. The drinks were great as well. They have a wide selection of options.There is only a small inside section but a large outdoor seating area if there’s nothing available inside. The only benefit of inside is the air conditioning.

The food and the delicious cocktails, the only thing they have to improve is the attention since it takes a long time, but it is understandable given the number of people who visit the place.
Aurimar Duran: Lousy lousy lousy attention! The worst service I received in Cartagena, it hurts that a place with such a beautiful view has such attention. We asked for a song to sing birthdays and they didn't allow it because they only listen to electronic music, we were a group of more than 15 adult people to celebrate the birthday of a 60-year-old person. The hostess did not want to allow us to enter because they already wanted to close the premises and their closing time was in 3 hours!I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!It goes without saying that I would never return to this place...I would like to add that I do not recommend any dish, much less the beer that was super hot!

Lady Bello: The reason why I’m putting 5 stars is because the food is sooo delicious yum yum and where the restaurant is located the is amazing. The bad part is the communication in that restaurant. If you go on google maps search up the restaurant and try to call that restaurant the number bad it doesn’t go through. I tried sooo many times I had to go to another restaurant and ask for help. That restaurant needs to adjust the number as to why they haven’t is a mystery. Once I was able to successfully make the reservations a few hours later I called to make sure my reservations was ok and then I called again the second day just make sure, call me crazy I just like to make sure everything was okay. As soon as I got there they didn’t see my reservations 🤯!!! I had to get loud and rude to the put that they called in the manager and I told the manager this is a mess on how you handle the reservations. Yeah you can also do the reservations online but I believe in doing things myself and or in person. The manager let me in because I gave him all proof that I tried calling to make a reservation and everything. We sat the table that we picked. WE WAITED FOR AN HOUR for our server to come to us. Another serve saw us tried to help and she noticed that our actual serve never came up to us. She decided to help I was soo angry on how the manager miss manages his personal. The server who help us was soo sweet to us. I left her a tip and she said that there’s a new law in Colombia that because the restaurants are paying the servers well the customers aren’t allowed to tip us. I believe alll restaurantes should follow this example.

VANESSA FLOREZ LAMPREA: I love this place! Every time I go to Cartagena I pass by here. There is terrific live music. The group now is incredible, a very good band, the singer has a beautiful voice and full of energy, the musicians are very good. There are burlesque dances. The waitresses are always very friendly. Recommended the sushi, the mini hamburgers, the ribs.
Colleen Martinez: So fun! We went to hear Ray sing... we had some yummy sliders and drinks. The atmosphere is so chill and you can actually hear each other talk! And the seating is actually comfortable... I hard thing to find in Cartagena. We'll be back!!

Bernell King: Lovely, really nice mellow place to relax, chill, and hear jazz fusion, guitarists, and piano. We went twice, two nights in a row. You almost forget you're in Cartagena. The food is Japanese fusion and OK. There's a very limited selection of only 1 type of red wine by the glass. It's best for the music and vibe.

Agha Khan: Went here by accident today and am glad we did. They had live music. Nice vibe inside. We ordered tuna pizza (sounds interesting) and sushi. The food was fresh and taste was on point. Nice place to sit back and relax.

Yofret Rios Mercado: Very nice and small, the food is some type of fusion, is odd, but in the good sense, it has a romantic vibe, so it's a perfect place for a date!
Sara López F: I loved this place, it has a very cozy atmosphere, the cocktails and the food are delicious. It is a jazz, soft rock atmosphere and they have live shows and themes for different days. Excellent!
