Estefany Parra Cardona: Creo que hace unos años podría llamársele hotel 5 estrellas, pero actualmente ya no lo es. La foto de la piscina es un engaño, es bien pequeña, por lo que se la pasa llena y a parte de todo la cierran a las 8 pm. La atención al cliente muy regular, más que todo de parte de las personas que sirven el desayuno y el del bar ubicado en la piscina. Hay mucha gente ofreciendo tours en la entrada del hotel, muy acosadores, bastante molesto…
philip lawrence: I rate this hotel a Minus 1. I am in Cartagena EVERY 2 months and decided to try the Almirante. WORST thing I could have done. We checked in, me and fiancée, both WITH passports. The day after checking in, the hotel security team rushed the elevator we were using to go to our room and asked my fiancée if she was registered in the hotel, what an embarrassment, other guests looking etc., like we had done something!! THEY ASKED HER THAT BECAUSE SHE IS A COLOMBIANA, SO, THEY, THE SECURITY TEAM, RACIALLY PROFILED HER!! I Spoke to the manager the following morning and demanded they make things right for the embarrassment they had caused us due their inept security team (my fiancée cried the whole night because of what happened with the security team !!) The manager agreed that the hotel was at fault, that the security team never should have done what they did and that they would 'comp' us our room charges for the stay to make things right!!The problem is, THEY DID IT, and they did it because it has been tolerated all along, that is my problem with the whole thing She (hotel manager) fully agreed that what happened NEVER should have happened so, they would make things right.Just today, about 10 days after our trip, I was making another reservation at this hotel (because the hotel manager had, I thought. handled everything professionally) when I received an email from the hotel manager saying that She would not honor the room comp but would adjust an overcharge of about $35 from our prior bill. When I asked WHY, SHE SAID that she Never Agreed to the room comp in our meeting in her office on the day in question (I have emails from her admitting their security teams fault!!!! ) Money is one thing but, lies / integrity are another!!I judge a company by their word which is their integrity and not by the cost of services more times than not. With that being said, I would NEVER recommend this property to anyone as, I do not trust them, totally mis-managed!!!! I stay at the Dan Cartagena ALL THE TIME and have NEVER had any problems of any kind, and the rooms are twice the size with Balcony's and the hotel is ON THE BEACH, no walking to the beach!! DO yourself a FAVOR and run as fast as you can AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL PROPERTY. ALSO, THIS IS ABOUT A 3 STAR PROPERTY, VERY DATED AND VERY SMALL ROOMS (AND WE HAD THE BEST ROOM THE HOTEL OFFERED!! )

Jay Clemmey: The Sanctuary takes you through the history of San Pedro Claver who dedicated most of his life to evangelizing slaves in Cartagena during the 1600’s. He was canonized as a saint in 1888 by Pope Leo XIII.You can spend a good hour or so touring the church, garden, artwork, and the rooms where Claver lived and worked. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in Cartagena.

Alessio Astolfi: I had the chance to visit the Santuario de San Pedro Claver during a trip to Cartagena, Colombia, some ten years ago, and it was definitely an incredible experience. I am a person who has a great love for history and culture, therefore I was very taken aback by this sanctuary's significant past.In the centre of Cartagena's historic area, the Santuario de San Pedro Claver is a beautifully maintained Jesuit church and convent from the 17th century. It bears the name of Saint Peter Claver, a Jesuit priest of Spanish descent who dedicated his life to assisting slaves who were taken from Africa to Cartagena. The sanctuary provided these slaves with food, shelter, and medical attention while acting as a haven for them during a trying moment in history. It was a significant symbol of compassion and hope.The Santuario de San Pedro Claver's architecture is extremely stunning. The facade's exquisite detailing and elaborate designs are evidence of the architects' and artisans' expertise and craftsmanship. The sanctuary's interior is as breathtaking, featuring magnificent murals, pieces of art, and sculptures that depict Saint Peter Claver and his contributions to humankind.The opportunity to view Saint Peter Claver's relics, which are stored in a small room inside the sanctuary, was one of the pleasures of my trip. The saint's skull and bones are among the relics, which serve as a potent reminder of the sacrifices he made during his life and the influence he had on countless others.Overall, anyone with an interest in history, culture, or spirituality should definitely pay a visit to the Santuario de San Pedro Claver. Erica Rojas Castellanos: The Decameron Cartagena in Bocagrande is the worst Decameron in the world. It's an ugly tower with no beach. With a very small pool with only one restaurant and no advertising site warns you that there will be no beach for 3 years, only until payment is made. Please avoid bad times, unnecessary bitterness or visit other hotels and other Decameron but definitely not this one in BOCAGRANDE.

You ask people about the activities and many don't know, they don't advise well, the snacks are not very good. The buffet food is excellent. The San Pedro restaurant is fatal and there is no air conditioning. They also did not tell us that the idea to Baru was so sought after and we were left without knowing.

I have eyes and saw all these ppl who just got here after us get upstairs before us. And again, being super rude and condescending. Anyway, I left and then had a blast at Invissa (super recommend instead of this overtly hyped place).

Cesar Sanabria: This is the worst airport I have ever been when I was departing one of the very rude lady's that work for spirit started calling some names and she called my name an my baby girls name that is 6 months old they took us to this very small space to do a tsa swap but guess what there was no tsa agent or nothing it was the same rude lady from spirit that did the swap after being 35 minutes inside that small place more and more people keep coming to get swap for sings of explosive I started to tell the lady to please let us out after the swap because there was way too many people and I was afraid that we may get sick since it was such a small place, she didn't care one bit after 40 minutes they finally took us out we got on our plane got home and two days later guess what I got covid my 6 months baby girls got it too had to take to the hospital and all my family is sick I am colombian and this experience was horrible.

Ixchel Espinosa: The hotel itself is really pretty very colonial and very quiet is in the center so that’s good as well food in the restaurant was always very good and they have great vegan options and good coffee but I was very disappointed to see that my room was so dark like being in a cave I tried to change rooms but nothing else was available for the price that I was paying I expected a nicer room almost and had a window with shutters not able to open so it was all darkness and also that my loved hair brush from Europe disappeared prob in towels or bed sheets during the cleaning. Is a good place if you book the most expensive room in advance.
Izzy: A lovely boutique hotel away from the bustle of Cartagena. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel (we stayed twice to start and end our trip). The rooms are beautiful - spacious, clean and really nicely done up.Breakfast was one of the highlights - Epoca does amazing açai bowls, eggs etc. there’s a wonderful selection and excellent coffees. Lunch was equally delicious and there was a lot of choice.The pool area is lovely and the staff were very accommodating when we arrived at 8am and were hoping to shower after a long flight even though the room wasn’t ready. The facial and couples massage were really excellent too and the spa itself was a very relaxing environment.Thank you for a wonderful stay.

La Klayman: This is an absolutely charming hotel. I wouldn’t call it luxurious, but it absolutely OOZES charm! Our room was large and spacious with a GORGEOUS ceiling and chandelier. Our little balcony overlooked the street and it was super fun to stand out there and “spy” on people in the street. The beds are comfy even though the pillows are a little bit “meatball-y” for our taste. The staff at the front desk are awesome! Shoutout to Nelson and Daniel (and another lovely young man whose name escapes me). The pool is small but perfect for cooling down after a day of sightseeing. We had massages in the spa and they were extremely relaxing and excellent prices. Very friendly therapists. My husband met one of the family members who own the hotel (Julien) and he regaled him with stories of when it was a family home and they often had visitors and people wanting to stay over and then they transitioned it into a hotel. (Very successfully may I add) The hotel restaurant, Epoca, is only open at this point for breakfast and lunch but the food was great. Especially the huevos divorciados. Demasiado delicioso!! The coffee is good too. The restaurant suggestions from the friendly staff at the front desk were absolutely en point. The value here is great and I will happily stay here again when next we’re in Cartagena. If you’re debating to stay here, just do it. You’ll love it.

Leo BS: It’s truly a gem! I felt I was a guest in a beautiful historic family home with all its past grandeur.: magical! the room was comfortable and big with every little detail taken care of. They even changed our Safety Box as soon as we asked. The EPOCA CAFE is perfect to have a delicious breakfast (or more) and Giovanni our waiter was always smiling and so diligent. I would only add extra seating in the little Lounge area: an ottoman next to the white sofa maybe..so a big family can sit down to chat and enjoy the view of the courtyard areaOverall we loved it ! Would definitely go back 😎

LA P: Fantastic stay at Casa Del Arzobispado! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean rooms and beautiful courtyard pool. A very relaxing stay. The cafe attached to hotel was wonderful as well- includes daily credit for hotelguest. Would happily return. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Me quede en estes hotel en el mes de mayo, mi madre sufrio un accidente alrededor de la picina y este hotel no cuenta con personal entrenado, ni tienen ningun protocolo para estos casos. Mi mama se callo y perdio el sentido por unos minutos y el salvavidas que estaba cerca me trajo una crema para untarle. Se nota la falta de conocimiento en un accidente asi, nunca fue llamada una ambulancia para inmobilizarlar,me toco levantarla despues de su caida y llevarla al hospital en un taxi. El resultado de la caida fueron 3 costillas fracturadas y una vertebra. Hasta el momento no he escuchado nada de el hotel or de la aseguradora del hotel. Si busca un sitio seguro y con mayor sentido de responsabilidad. no se hospeden en el Hilton de cartagena.

Liegen waren immer vorhanden.Upgrade auf Meerblick als Statusmitglied habe ich bekommem.Die Zimmer sind sauber, modern eingerichtet, auch gut zum Arbeiten ausgestattet.Frühstück sehr reichhaltig, gerade bei den lokalen Gerichten kann man fast jeden Tag was neues ausprobieren. Station für Omelett und frische Säfte.Executive Lounge von 12-20 Uhr geöffnet mit kleinen Snacks, Obst, Limonaden und Kaffeemaschine und durchgehend mit 2 freundlichen Mitarbeitern besetzt. 18-20 Uhr gibt es kleine warme Gerichte, Vorspeisen, Nachspeisen, Bier,Rotwein und Weisswein. Es war bis auf das Wochende nicht überlaufen und hat eine sehr schöne Aussicht.Zu Fuss kann man mehrere Restaurants und Bars erreichen und durch Bocagrande bummeln, Ich habe mich auch abends sicher gefühlt.

Javier G. Santos: Mixed feelings. The place is living history. In what is now a souvenir shop, you can see the impacts of English muskets. You sit in watchtowers where Blas de Lezo himself designed the defense of Cartagena and, therefore, access to current Latin America from the English invaders. You can look at the sea from the fort defense quote supposed that today the entire south of that continent is Latin and not just another British colony. There, 2,300 Spaniards broke 24,000 English, assuming the end of the English hegemony of the seas... But... It is so full of stupid tourists, taking pictures in every corner, climbing historic canyons that they are forbidden to climb. .. In short, if you are a lover of history, it is a must. But you have to go at noon, when the horde of tourists is crammed. Otherwise, you feel too sorry for what those brave men gave their lives to defend.
