Lourdes Celestrin: I would have liked to write a good rating, but the reality is that we had higher expectations considering the place and the cost. The taste of most of the dishes did not impress us, neither did the quality of the wines. In addition, some of what I ate did not taste good, I was vomiting throughout the early morning and part of the next morning. The service was excellent and the place is very nice.

Carolina Diaz Correa: I am going to summarize my review with the fact that if there were a Michelin guide in Colombia, this restaurant would surely have one.Chef, sous-chef and director are French but the menu uses absolutely everything local, a delight!!!!I tried 6 times but for the next time I would like the 10.How about the yellow butterflies of Macondo? Laurent Cosson: Simply the best food experience in Cartagena. Original, generous, delicious. Wonderful mix of flavours, great and knowledgeable service, friendly team in the kitchen and behind the counter. My « go to » each time we are in town.

Troy Benson: Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Incredible food and top notch ambiance. However, they don’t get 5 stars from me, because their service was disjointed and confusing. We ordered a chefs menu and the courses were delivered in a poor sequence and they had to be reminded to keep the pace up. That being said, they were busy and everything else was superb.

Sandra: This place was quite a surprise. Firstly, my family and I walked into Carmen hoping to snatch a table for an early dinner. Well, with no reservation that plan backfired.Thankfully, the staff suggested Moshi. Moshi serves Japanese cuisine, and is nestled inside Carmen. I ordered the tasting menu w/cocktails and it was an amazing meal. This review was long over due, one year to be exact, and I can’t recall all of the dishes. However, if you’re a foodie and appreciate small surprises in every dish, then I recommend the tasting menu.

Michael Jeffreys: I really wanted to like this place because we were so hungry, but I am so disappointed! Where do I begin… First of all we got completely annihilated by mosquitoes under our table which was a bit traumatizing. They did offer us some repellent but that didn’t help too much. They gave us some fresh bread which was really good, but the butter that came with it was way too sweet. Olive oil or plain butter would have been much preferred. As an appetizer, we ordered eggplant Parmesan but because they don’t know how to do it right, the eggplant had that bitter taste. There’s a simple technique to get rid of that using salt before cooking it. Next, we had the ravioli with Pomodoro sauce which was pretty good. The other plate we had was risotto with Alfredo sauce and it was terrible! We hardly ate any of it because it just tasted like rice with a mediocre cream sauce. But here’s the kicker that really hurt… They charged 14,000 pesos for a bottle of water! That’s absolutely ridiculous! There are several restaurants in town that give you a complete delicious lunch with a beverage for that price. I recommend avoiding this place and looking for something far better.

Narek Dshkhunyan: What a lovely hidden gem! On the edge of the walled town (but just steps away from the iconic Cafe del Mar), this might be the most well-kept secret of Cartagena! They have a beautiful and spacious garden area perfect for dates or family gatherings, and the band played great local and Latin music all night long, not the incessant party music of Cartagena restaurants. L D: This is my favorite restaurant in Cartagena. Every time I go, it is an amazing experience. The food is delicious and prepared expertly. The service is friendly and attentive (Jorge and Karen were amazing). The breezes are delightful as you are seated on the second floor in open air (covered)...and there are large fans during the hotter months....and a perfect view of the Castle! It is an amazing place!!Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options, both as tapas and mains.

Patrick Cannon: Wow, what a great experience. Wife and I took the Ceviche class with Maria and had the best time. The recipes she shares are easy to follow, the facility is immaculately clean, and the final results tasted amazing. Kudos to her and her assistant, who was integral in her successful teaching of the class. This is a must-do, when in Cartagena. The sit-down and socialize over a glass of your preferred beverage is a really nice touch. Buen Provecho!

I wouldn’t go out of my way to return for the pizza alone, however the menu had lots of other options and pasta, so it’s hard to judge without trying. Definitely looks well put together and clean, and a big plus: they use a stone pizza oven. Worth trying.

Unfortunately, I went one day when I was taking a medication and I couldn't consume dairy products. I ordered a pasta from the garden, the menu indicates that it has several types of vegetables, nothing more. When the pasta arrived it had milk cream and cheese, which was not stipulated in the menu. I couldn't enjoy the food. It is important to mark all the ingredients on the menu to avoid this type of inconvenience.
